AP News, I'm Pam Joining, AP Correspondent Women Hall reports on the conviction of former President Donald Trump and remarks from the Manhattan DA. Donald Trump is now the first former American president to be convicted of felony crimes. A New York jury found him guilty of all 34 charges in a scheme to illegally influence the 2016 election through a hush money payment to a porn actor who said the two had sex. Trump said afterward that the trial was rigged. "This is a very sad day for America. The whole world is watching. And it's a very sad day for New York. I've got through two of these trials already." Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg said he and prosecutors simply did their jobs. "Many voices out there. The only voice that matters is the voice of the jury and the jury has voted." Bragg refused to comment on sentencing. Judge Juan Mershan has said sentencing for July 11th, just days before the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. In an AP interview, Michigan's chief medical executive, Dr. Natasha Bogdazzari, and says the worker who caught bird flu in Michigan had respiratory symptoms where previous cases were just eye irritation. But it's too soon to say if the virus is mutating. "We're carefully doing investigations and looking for what types of exposure are greatest risk for people. But if you can imagine these are much larger animals than poultry, which has been infected in the past, when you're working with infected bow vines, there's a different type of risk, different type of secretions and fluids that you may be coming into contact with. And so as a consequence, we may see different types of exposures leading to infection." In a news conference FAA administrator Mike Whittaker says Boeing has laid out how it plans to fix aircraft safety and quality problems. "Our goal is to make sure that Boeing makes the necessary changes and has the right tools in place to sustain those changes. Boeing has laid out their roadmap, and now they need to execute." This is AP News. Law enforcement say too many Apple's police officers and four civilians were injured in an active shooter situation. Federal agents responded to the shooting and are there to help investigate. President Biden has partially lifted a ban on Ukraine using U.S. arms in Russian territory. Four sources say the executive order would impose a new daily threshold for migrant encounters and once that's exceeded, it would shut off asylum requests and automatically deny entrance to migrants. President Biden's expected to sign the order as soon as Tuesday. Immigration's a top concern heading into the November election, and the president's been weighing action since a bipartisan border bill collapsed this year.
