Welcome to the Inside Texas football YouTube channel powered by inside texas.com. I'm Joe Cook got Eric not lean got Justin Wells We are here live on Thursday morning. I'm in Destin at SEC spring meetings These two guys were in Nashville this week at the on three elite series talking to some of the Longhorns top targets If you're watching on YouTube make sure you like this video subscribe to our channel And if you're watching from anywhere head to inside texas.com used a promo code it one that would get you two months of inside Texas for just one dollar Great time to get it as the official visit season starts up after can't season starts this weekend So guys y'all are at the on three elite series in Nashville Talking to some top targets and even had a commitment there from James Simon Big takeaways Eric from all the the big event in Nashville with top targets on the hand Man, that thing was done. That thing was done up. It was exceptionally well organized It was high-class the whole way. It was at the W Everything was you know as organized and button up as you could possibly hope for you know The only hiccups where players had some trouble getting into In the Nashville from Dallas. That was a one issue I think you know I struggled with that as well But that was the only hiccup really it was a just a very very well organized event I had a lot of parents come up to me and talk about how nice it was so I think it's kind of become the the gem of the The recruiting calendar like the opening was for a number of years and it kind of went by the wayside I think the on three elite series is gonna replace it. And that's it's gonna be great for inside Texas readers Justin you were there as well. It may be the trek across a couple a couple different states to get to Nashville Obviously, there is a commitment there, but outside of James Simon picking the Longhorns What was one other big storyline that was worth tracking there for Texas fans? There were a few really good storylines But I think really the the best with where the three five-star wide receivers essentially saying hey We could all play at the same school You know something that we had kind of broached it inside Texas We've talked about on the board a number of times, but God Those three made it sound like a reality and and we got videos and interviews with each one of them We got to talk to their parents. We got to talk to so many different people and like I said There were a lot of cool storylines I think Texas wise, but the three five-star wide receivers making it a reality making it a potential reality that they could play at the same School and in Texas being namely maybe perhaps that school that was probably the biggest Takeaway recruiting wise if you're a Texas fan Yeah, and of course, that's Jamie French from Jacksonville, Florida It's Colique Lockett from Saxi and that's of course Decorian Moore from Duncanville the three wide receivers and if that's the that's the hall quite a wide receiver hall That would be but of course there was James Simon Calvary Baptist Academy running back Committing to the Longhorns choosing Texas over Texas a&m Alabama Notre Dame and LSU We Justin you were able to get some comments from him before we get to those got to think our friend Andre the lawyer Andre the lawyer has been helping injured Texans throughout the state of Texas He's a proud inside Texas member has been a part of the inside Texas family for a long time If you need to get in touch with the team They will give you a personalized text message number so you can contact them all day and all night and no win no pay So call Andre at 214 444 8808 if you're in a slip and fall and on the job injury an auto accident or anything else call Andre the lawyer at 214-444-8808 Justin any comments on on Simon or you just want to get to the interview and let him do the talking for us I will say this James James told me he knew it was Texas a few months ago He he had a pretty good idea that that's where he was headed in and then he loved he really you know He's got a great relationship with coach choice, but he really talked up SARC He said him and SARC, especially SARC and his family had gotten a lot closer and and don't forget his dad's a football coach too in college at Grambling and so they kind of understood the process his older brother is going to enroll at Louisiana Tech on Monday To play wide receiver and so they they they kind of built up to that and so you know Simon I think is such a big get I think he's a great player and it was funny is that all the other players that were there you could tell They loved how on three put on that production. They loved that. Okay. Wait a minute. I could have made a decision I think Josh Newberg even teased DJ only are you next cuz we have a chair open We've got the cameras if you're ready to tell everybody where you're going And so it was a really good time overall, but I think top-to-bottom Simons They think they kind of knew a few months ago where they were gonna go which I think correlates really well with what we were reporting Absolutely, we'll let Simon tell it to himself there from the outdoor deck at the W in Nashville where the festivities took place here on this channel yesterday In Nashville at the on three elite series with new Texas commit James Simon out of Calvary Baptist and Shreveport Louisiana Mr. Simon, you picked the horns. What was it about Texas that made them the decision? Absolutely, you said you're you know, you got close to C. Scarce Sarsa Sarkeesian. You got close to Tashar choice What was it about those relationships that you built with those guys? They were just real and genuine. It wasn't just football wasn't just why we want to hear it was just how we can make you a better person How we can make you a better new man on and off the field it was just regular thoughts regular things I saw how they were to themselves The shard choice is set five running backs to the NFL in the last two drafts Which is most in all the college football did that help in your decision-making a little bit knowing that he's kind of a an NFL guy If you want to get to the league and be a pro Yeah, definitely. I knew I knew to saw was that guy I knew I knew post shows was the But I guess it's all out there now everybody can see it for themselves So they know I'm not making a run. It's just they know I'm making a bad decision for myself So it's all moving so you were at the spring game and you got to see dual running backs Utilize and you told me before that was that was enticing. How do you see yourself fitting in this Texas offense? I mean like I said when I saw it, I saw the running back story touched on the back through I must go and touch down You're getting the ball here, and I mean this is the running backs and the best way possible So I definitely love what I saw and I knew I could be handled the exact same way in both ways Are you going to be able to enroll early a lot of people are asking are you gonna be a December guy? Would you get to come in to Austin a little early? Yeah, I will I'm taking my classes and I'll be able to go to Austin early Is that something that that you really you know, you're banking on is that something you were looking forward to trying to get in there Springtime early so you can you know get your get your heels in the into the ground. Yeah I'm definitely trying to go over my stripes early so I can get my legs settled and you know just put it out there Definitely I want to make your relations with my guys in the room because I'm honestly not gonna be the only one working for some But I definitely want to make a name for myself and prove something for sure because it's not over yeah Are there any Texas recruits you've talked to you know over the past or maybe since you've been here at the on three elites series event that you are any guys that you might help start recruiting Very good very good James Simon newest commit out of street port Calvary Baptist four star running back congratulations James We'll see you on the 48 years soon. Yes, sir. Thank you That was awesome great job on that one Justin Eric, I think on our live Yesterday with me and coach Williams you spoke a little bit about how he reminds you of Duke Catalan, right? So what are some of the traits that? the traits that Simon brings that helps you formulate that comparison Yeah, he's got good agility lateral agility to go horizontally on the field and find his lane But he's really only doing that so he can get north and south as quickly as possible So he's got the the feet to find space, but then he wants to get downhill So he's both got some east west ability, but also north south and then he I think he runs with a little bit more power than people realize Definitely runs through arm tackles. I'm not sure his top end speed is quite as good as Duke's was But you know, I think probably the the mental eval is gonna gonna carry him through a little bit better But yeah, he's he's a fun running back to watch. I just like he's all around game. I think he's a well-rounded Justin you caught up with another Texas target there at the on three elite series got a video with him of Michael Fessusi from Lewisville and Like like we mentioned some some difficulty with travel. You still got to catch up with him and hear about what His thoughts on the horns anything you got on him or you want to let the video do the talking again. Hey Not one player was 300 pounds and Michael was the last one they they measured and they were thinking, okay This is gonna be the one he's gonna we all had had guesses. I was thinking 305 Mike was 295 I gotta tell you guys. I can't tell you 295 has looked better This kid has shaped his body over the last 18 to 24 months And he looks exactly like cow flood envisioned He would look when he saw him for the first time as a freshman at Lewisville high school Michael Fessusi is an absolute joy to talk to loved catching up with his dad Please come to the inside Texas and check out some of those updates, but let's let mr. Fessusi do the rest We will do that right now On three elite series here in Nashville and that man five star offensive tackle from Lewisville. Michael fessusi has arrived Mike this is a this is a big event. This is exclusive only the biggest of the big guys here What are you expecting from this experience? You know, I think this part of the best thing you can do Before the future visit so just you know get it done with Absolutely, absolutely. You've always had such a great attitude when it comes to recruiting You got some official visits coming up. Why don't you just go through what your june is going to look like real quick? It's going to be busy. That's for sure showing out in Missouri tomorrow then we're up to A&M You know Texas or you Yeah, it's going to be a busy month What is it about Texas that's standing out with you right now cow floods been recruiting you since as he's a freshman Steve Sarkeesian is really dove into the recruitment. What stands out with the horns? So I got love man. The culture the culture stands out too. You know, so love when I go down to never add their visitations, you know Just seeing what um Coast shark and Coast Florida beefing up there That's for sure something you want to that's for sure somebody want to play for Absolutely. Absolutely. Do you have an idea when you want to make a decision? I know you told me before possibly july or august before your senior year Have you if you kind of narrowed that down yet? I'm still looking forward to august but you know, we saw those timing. You know, that doesn't work out. You know, good. It's a season with it That is another great video. Thank you, Justin for that one You got to see in here him talk about Some of the places he's going to go or the course of the next month But who do you think's really at the head of the pack in this recruitment or the two top target two top teams in this battle? That's a great question. Uh, I think texas is is definitely in the top two But that second spot understand michael really does like the recruiting process and and i feel like he's I feel like he's kind of slowing down a little bit I think he's trying to gather and get prepared for a very busy month granted. He's going to be in azure He's going to be in columbia, Missouri on friday And so I would give the second spot between oh you and a and m I think we've kind of maintained that with our reporting over the last bit about Those it's kind of it's going to be one of those three, but you know, missouri's making a very strong push That they're they've got his attention and so who's coming up for second is tough to gage to gage I would have said oklahoma and january february. I would have said a and m in march april and may Man, I'm not really sure but the one constant is the texas longwars And I do do feel like they still have the lead and that rp m from from eric nalene is still looking nice and tasty I know y'all don't like to think about comps, but i'll throw it out for y'all and see if there's a yes or no on that one 295 and his size kind of makes me think a little bit of brand and baker is that there or is there something off on that one Actually, he's not as that maybe not as athletic. He's got probably better man. That's I'm like eric. I gotta have this epiphany comp apparently do catalog came to him in his dreams last night He didn't tell me but that I have to kind of let it formulate before I do that But actually from a size standpoint joe, I think you're pretty spot on Just trying that one out see what works We're going to get to a few of y'all's questions and as always got to thank our buddy bret nelson for giving this super chat texas does have a camp this weekend on june first uh saturday morning so the updates will be coming With the 2026 quarterbacks coming in this weekend and one of them Most likely committing like lacy you see sark taking an underclassman quarterback every year And why not wait for a senior riser or eval? I think at quarterback sark definitely wants to to go Go with a high school quarterback every single year But eric i'm kind of curious what you think about the senior riser aspect of that because there's obviously the on field Part of it, but there's also the off field part of it. That's extremely important and recruit in recruiting classes as well Well, you don't you don't want to bake on a senior senior riser because you don't know that one's going to emerge that uh fits your needs Uh, maybe that could be you know waiting and uh like i think you know they they waited a little bit on treyones They definitely wanted to see some of his junior film, but even then they went in pretty early on him You like to get your quarterbacks early they often become the leaders in the class Quarterbacks by nature tend to commit early. Uh, and so you know you got to be uh cognizant of the timeline for a lot of these guys I'm not sure they're getting a commitment this weekend. Uh, we'll definitely be on the lookout for it, you know, whether it's dia bell or or choy hoon Um, but you know, I think you know, I think it's going to be a two quarterback class And so yeah, he he would like to get one in early and then find somebody that's not afraid to compete who with whoever the first guy is to commit Uh dream scenario would be dia bell and in hune, but I don't you know, I don't know There a lot of dream scenarios have actually played out for texas in the last couple of years. So so we can't rule it out entirely, but Uh, you don't want to wait on senior risers in in high school at especially at quarterback the position is too important Uh, and you know, most of them are committed early very few guys kind of come out of nowhere at the position just because it's so heavily evaluated So thoroughly evaluated those kids are attending camp since they're a freshman year high school Uh, most of them are are well known Um, you know, there's a couple guys that are going to come out of nowhere in this uh in this state. I think Uh, but it might be later than you know, they might be after texas already has a commit from out of state And I think with with a senior riser We have seen sart do it, but it was only once and it was to get devan brown Correct. They were trying to stay in that recruitment toward the very end and that was when the quarterback But he knew devan before That trans that's before he came so I he had an evaluated him already But I think since he that that was that was kind of roto right after his transition class, right? They already had it. They already had malike murphy in the class and there he go on for another quarterback Uh, cuz trey was our uh quinn was up at the Ohio state Then devan goes up there quinn goes up there and quinn comes back Uh, but devan was you know Devan was known. He was just not uh that well known until later in his career. He was a known prospect I you know, I saw him throw alive. He looked really good Uh, it was just then you know, I think on three made him as a five stars profile began to rise Um, but you know, I you hasn't done a whole lot up at Ohio state yet. Maybe this is his year You know, they get will hard can't cut it Uh, but it just not a lot of senior risers at quarterback Just because that like I said, it's so thoroughly uh recruited and evaluated these guys are in camps from the time They're out of diapers, you know, most of them got baby grok dads that are pushing them through all different all different Schools, uh, and so it's just not a lot of senior roger quarterbacks Got to thank, uh, Brett nelson for that question Brett Going to go through the uh inside texas message boards for a couple different questions Again, if you're not on inside texas head over there join us for just one dollar and get two months of access Got to use the promo code it one this one is from mb w six two nine Out of the prospects you met or interacted with in nashville Was there anyone not on texas radar that you wish was on texas radar Justin is there someone that uh fits the bill on this one? I know they had commits at from schools like to head in to north carolina some prospects that texas offered but never really gained traction with Uh, what's your answer to to this question? Give me a hot dose of six foot six 275 pound five star tackle david sanders That's who i was going to say man every time that guy walked by us or anybody you could see him going what the hell's going on here He looked like a million bucks. That's who i was going to go with i'll have to find somebody else Hey joe joe's too good at this eric he he puts us on the spot, you know, um, but i mean Sanders is the easy answer that should be the default on this the guy During the you know on the blue carpet for the dinner the the night before the night after He had crushed red velvet suit Like he he's big and his smile like that's a that's what that we're going to see that kid walking across the stage and get bear hug By roger giddell like he's just tremendous his parents. We're tremendous. I mean just absolute great people Uh great kid I have actually talked to him a handful of times, you know and just because we're around them so much and there's so much Hurry up and waiting sometimes when the kids come in and get processed and go through their Well the conveyor belt, but just interacting with them so much I gotta tell you man. David sanders look like a million bucks If you had michael fessusi and david sanders as book-in tackles buddy, you're cooking with greece I've never heard that one before you've never heard you cooking with greece. Hold on a second You've never heard that that saying before it's cooking with gas. I thought Whatever Maybe that's gonna be somebody in tech. That's probably gonna be someone texas faces I think tennessee's in that recruitment who i'm trying to think of who else is involved I think michigan might be so could be someone we still have for sanders. Yeah, georgia michigan alabama I think us. He's trying I think lsu's trying. I got a georgia vibe there, but I honestly I I think he's He's he's putting out. He's pretty open which is the smartest way to do it. He's he's he's using his Recruiting well eric you have a Another answer to the question are you gonna stick with sanders? Well, that was still you just come through mind just because um, you know every time we walk by I was like man, okay He's going to the nfo Just stay healthy Isaiah gipson Uh the usc commit from georgia defensive n edge He uh, he had very long arms despite being six three Uh, which is you know, that's not short, but it's not tall by any means Um, he had very you know long reach long wingspan So you kind of you put that together with this build where he's can anchor and play with strength But also he has the advantage of of arm length So he's going to get on the offensive tackles easy and guide him and kind of control the matchup Uh, that pretends very well for his his long-term evaluation Uh, you know, not you know, just beyond the natural athleticism that he has He's got these measurables that are he's going to have an advantage going up against almost every often even offensive tackles that have 34 inch arms his arms are even longer than that so Um, he's yeah, that that that just gives you can't miss vibes for him Eric How good did Devin Sanchez look? Yeah, that's another one he walked by and um, you know, I hadn't seen him in a while And I wasn't expecting to be looking up at him like that Yeah So yeah, he's he's clearly six two, uh, he walked by and it it looks like he looked more like a wide receiver, honestly So, you know, and if you're going to have guys like, you know that the texas is getting and maybe oh house state in texas meet up down the road Uh, that's a guy that you probably want on colleague locket and matching that length. Um, yeah, he's he seemed pretty uh, pretty Stout with uh, oh house state. I talked to his dad for a while Uh, we'll see but recruiting is always crazy. You just never know. It's going to come down the pipeline Joe, joe would have enjoyed that interaction because the dad was rocking the astros gear. Oh, yeah, we talked about strokes for sure Yeah, and you know that that's a kid that i've watched in recruitment for years, but i've never actually got to talk to a whole lot Man, he he was he was fun. He he was he was cool. And so that was another one that you're like man Devin says that looks like a guy that gets the bear hug from giddell. Yeah. Well, yeah Another good question Getting into this same subject from coach bobby finstock on the board new offer out who do they lead for? Who's the general feeling as to where each guy fits and he mentions? Uh phillips the auger caden phillip cave phillips, sorry the auburn commit Whose name escapes me right now and then aidan anding plus chester and bruce So where's i guess the fits for all those guys for a Chester Williams bruh and uh Well, bruh, let's just do it one by one bruce brain recorder, uh recruited as a cornerback He stood next to him just and he he had the same impression i had When he walked by like that's a big old kid. It looks like a linebacker, but uh he he moves like a corner Uh, and so that's where that's where everybody's recruiting them at uh cadefillips some schools are recruiting them at cornerback Which is what he prefers? Uh, but you know texas sees them as a safety texas has as a real chance with him bruh is is interesting because i don't think anybody has the right Uh line of uh information on that kid including myself. I'm not saying i have anything more than anybody else Uh, i've got you know, I have got good ties with a couple people tied in that recruitment But there's one that everybody needs to know and i don't think anybody knows what she's thinking so Um, it's you know if i see somebody saying hey ls using a good spot I I don't really fight against that just because I know that there's definitely a push for ls u Um oh how state I think it still has a chance given the the family's ties to that area or as mother's ties to the area That's a little bit harder for me to see him out west Uh, but then he got texas right here, too And I think texas might be able to emerge as a compromise school Between all the deciding uh all the decision makers so texas is going to be in that one till the very end Yeah, the interesting thing with him is he could commit as soon as june or fourth of july So yeah, uh, we're gonna have our hands full covering that one Um kade phillips texas texas a and m. I know ls u's been mentioned a bit in the past But I get more of an in state vibe there uh kaleb chester. I think texas leads Uh Might even go a little stronger on I think texas leads Um, I I you know, I think they've got a very good chance to get him Uh aid nanding likes miami and texas that kind of i wonder how hard it it's gonna You know, it's texas going to be able to push his heart Uh, and it's consistently as miami if texas is waiting for their cornerback board to to shake out They do like him obviously Um, and then who else devan williams the arbor commit now that kid yeah He's not you know texas is a kind of the size queens when it comes to most positions including corner He's he's on the smaller side, but he's electric Uh, I like it him to duke thomas. I think he's got you know duke thomas, but with better ball skills Um, and so you know, he'll he'll take an official visit right now. It's arborin versus texas Again, is texas gonna go all in on him or are they gonna consider continue to wait? Uh, but like i've been saying for a long time calib chester is a high priority I know fans are getting caught up on some of the higher rated guys Uh, but but he's he's far at the top of the board with dorian brew Um, it texas got it has a chance to get both of them I'm I have no I have zero concerns about how the defense of back class is going to shake out zero I also wish texas would have got dijon lee the california kid who's probably six four Just six three and a half. I mean just looks fantastic I wish they would have got him on campus more than once in the last 18 months He's going to take a midweek official visit in june Uh, you know how those midweek ov's go. I I really do think it's a georgia alabama battle at this point But that's another big kid But playing corner who can play corner I just got him on campus more and had more engagement Well, they're bringing them they're bringing him in for that I guarantee the sole purpose of bringing him in is to play the long game with them and go for a flip late If they if they think they can so Uh, yeah, it was weird that they backed off of them I think you know, we were talking about having to stay in touch with that kid like you know a year and a half ago Uh, and they never really nothing ever really materialized when we'd reach out to them Uh, but you know, they know something we don't know that that maybe that one could be uh one that stays hotly contested up until Up through december Uh, that that's you know the fact pattern there's telling us that that they think they'll have a chance for a flip Late in the game if they need it they want to get them on campus just to to build that relationship and say hey This is not not this might not be the last time you hear from us Got it to go to a question from our buddy, David Williams Which position class would benefit ut more? I guess the ideal defense of tackle class or the ideal wide receiver class Justin, what do you think on this one? Give me the big boys You want to benefit texas in the 2025 cycle. I mean those five those three wide receivers four Severs will be tremendous. You need big boys. You're headed to the SEC that defensive line That covered needs to be field. Give me give me give me some brand and brown some zion Some kevin win and a lot of joe size. Well, not too much of joe size charmer that dude is a monster Yeah, you can win a national you can win a national championship with portal wide receivers It's going to be very difficult to win a national championship with portal defensive tackles Uh, so give me the big boys. It's a scarcity thing. Uh texas is always going to be in it for uh For, you know, five star wide receivers Mainly because they can recruit nationally in ways they haven't been before Uh, I mean, look fans are going to love that five star wide receiver. Hall if they can pull it off I'll celebrate it as much as anybody Uh, but you know, you need the big boys, especially going to the SEC again You can't really find them in the portal. Uh, not difference makers. Anyway, got to get them early Got to get them developed and you really got to get that assembly line restored Uh, because it's you know that it's it's way too thin Uh, given the last couple classes Got another good one from spencer hogan with the campers coming in morrow Troy hoon or dia bell who do you all like more justin Both I'm not playing this game at this early not doing it. I both they both had a different skill set They both had a Great intangibles great tools big arm great fee great feel for the game great pocket presence If i'm a texas fan, I want either or I mean these guys are both really really good tip tip your cap to sark He's got two kids on the hook that are that would be tremendous. I'd be excited with either one I'm not picking one over the other not not right now I love them. I love them both too. I and I haven't really talked to dia outside of saying hello when he was on campus Troy, I've gotten to know a little bit You know, I think you can make a comparison where troy's like quin years He's going to try to carve you up from the pocket and dia is more like arch where he can do it from the pocket But also he's he's got some playmaking skill a little bit on the move or he could break down and run it Uh, so that would be that's actually a fair stylistic comp between how those two guys play and the guys that texas has on campus So you guys can pick which one you want the most out of them Uh in the end it's going to come down to probably whichever quarterback process is better And that's the hardest thing for us junior evaluators to get an idea and you got to trust sark on that one He'll get a good look at them both On saturday before we get out of here before we talk quickly about se se se spring meetings Gotta thank andrey the lawyer one more time. Make sure you call him at two one four four four four eight eight zero eight if you're in an accident slip and fall on the job injury wrongful death give him a call proud long horn two one four four four four eight eight zero eight guys i'm not in perese or tokyam in destin here at se se spring meetings and this is the the first time texas has sent like the full delegation between president j harzel ad christo conte steve starkisian roddie terry even vix shafer Is here and made some appearances on fine balm? But uh the the topic of the week here Is roster size in relation to the house case? Um, I think anything that we talk about we can kind of go ahead and off the top say texas is going to be fine Like they're there's confidence that they will be able to survive and thrive and whatever the next environment is But there's so many questions about this the the roster Size as a result of the the house case settlement that it's just dominating uh, the story lines and and one of the things is that You know, if you have a 17 game season, you have to have depth and if the one of the outcomes is you don't have walk That eliminates depth at a certain extent because now you're just practicing against your scholarship players So, um, you all have any thoughts on I mean, I feel like we're all in pretty strong agreement that texas will be okay But the idea just in of eliminating walk-on seems like something that um, it's just almost Unconsciousful for college football fans. They went to 85 scholarship limit roster size for a reason And it's because the blue bloods would bring in 120 kids a cycle And and and obviously most of them wouldn't see the field wouldn't play and so it it not only brought parody to the rest of the sport I think it streamlined people's programs. They weren't working they weren't trying to Remember 120 guys names or where they were at or what they were keeping up with you would have to hire more staff Just to follow those guys and keep up with it managed that time And so I think the roster size is a good. It's a great topic, but guys I think the 85 is that should be solidified I'm not a fan of of juicing up a roster just because I I think that to pick takes us back to the 60s and 70s Was obviously for texas fans, you know, that was a that was a golden era But man, I just don't think that's great overall for the sport Yeah, I think the idea of just saying you only have 85 As Basically a way to survive this 22 million dollars that you got to pay these players It's I think you're you're not going about salute He's about or excuse me spring meetings Yeah joe are you here in joe As say it again joe Yeah, joe breaking up anything else from sec. Yeah, let me let me take the mic for a second By far of my biggest concern is not roster size. I don't know why everybody's talking about that Especially texas fans texas fans should be most concerned about Uh, what the nil collectives the role of collectives are going to be going forward They'll contain mention that he'd like to bring those in house I need a lot more clarity on what that's going to look like long-term because nothing has benefited texas more than nil And this current current climate where it's it's uh, it's very free market-based Uh, the more the central planners get involved and bring it in house The more it's going to it's probably going to hurt texas and there's also a very good chance that uh, the next landscape Uh sees a return to Uh illegal inducements under the table, you know, just because they have so much to spend doesn't mean they won't spend more Uh, the boosters won't spend and act differently than texas boosters will we know texas is very Uh, very cognizant Of of compliance texas did not play the game like they used to if they used to play the game If they played the game like everybody accused of them of we wouldn't have seen this giant bounce just as nil became legal So, uh, by far the biggest concerns for texas going forward or texas fans should be the role of cla of collectives How they're viewed, uh, what they're allowed to do going forward Nothing else really matters if you want to win national championships and if you want to be competitive in the sec So texas leadership hopefully has a very good understanding of uh, of what could happen if uh, collectives are diminished Um, hopefully, I mean, you're gonna be go back to being eight and four Uh, if uh, if texas doesn't have this this legal, uh, advantage And then joe did did seiki say something about Private, you know equity getting involved in and how a lot of times those people want to return on investment And in this climate that's not always The the product at least right now I feel like that's an angle that didn't get talked about enough because once you get the private sector involved Like eric said you're gonna see more stuff under the table again you're gonna see more stuff behind behind the behind the doors behind the curtain rather and It's just a slippery slope and I love the free market part of it. I think that's probably capitalism at its best But there's a lot of there's so many little nuances to this that that really could could change a lot of things Yeah, he he was very He told people to tread cautiously when it came to private equity Um, and I think it if you have followed that story You don't really hear about sec programs You hear about florida state and why do you hear about florida state because they're trying to get out of the acc and catch up Uh to programs in the sec So I I think that's while that's something that could influence college people on heck They were talking about on field and maybe even on jersey sponsorships Which I you know if you think about college sports 20 years ago That would have made people look for a fainting couch Uh, but I think for you know private equity. I don't feel like the sec And it schools really has to worry about that and the athletic departments just because they're getting paid a boatload of money from espn Who is uh giving out some kickoff times today Uh, so make sure you track that over on inside texas Make sure you come and check out everything over on inside texas You can use a promo code it one to get two months for just one dollar And also like this video subscribe to the channel.
