Things weren't really working out. There was some drama in the relationship. I believe it all started when she was complaining that he wasn't taking initiative to take her out in a lot of dates. (speaking in foreign language) He appreciated that she communicated this. What did he do? He took her out on dates. But he said, I was doing that. (speaking in foreign language) She was on these dates with a bad attitude, et cetera, et cetera. So anyways-- - Also side note, did we say she's a single mom? - Yes. - Oh, okay. Single mom. And next thing you know, he waits an hour, two hours, no text from her, no call from her. - Oh, I would have made dinner plans in that time. - I would have already been in my DMs. (laughing) - He said, I quote, "I started getting hella anxious, so I went on a two mile run." - Whoa. - Oh, nice. - Oh, me eats the winner maker. - We're so opposite. (laughing) - So, she texted him and said, "Hey, did you hear that AT&T "has some problems with our phones?" Not just kidding. She texted him and said, "Hey, it's been a month now. "When do you want to meet this week to talk?" - She was breaking up with him. - And then he said, "I asked her, "Hey, did you get my call?" (laughing) And then she said, "No." I was freaking out all day. He's gotta make the decision, and you really, life goes by so fast that you can't continue living in situations that give you anxiety, right? - Yeah, that's true. - And what I've learned, you know, especially from my mom and my dad, passing away and being in heaven now, is that there is nothing better in life and like true success is being at peace with the people you love, with God in yourself. So, that's my prayer for him, that's my prayer for you listening. Like whatever you gotta do to be at peace, do that. That doesn't mean that people are gonna be at peace with you, but guess what, that's out of your control. - Yeah. (speaking in foreign language) - To be at peace, that's it. - Yeah, and it feels so good when you're at peace, even if the other person doesn't reciprocate, it's like, whatever, I already did my part. And not in a bad way, just like, I feel good, you know? Sorry you don't. - And it's not that you're giving them the benefit of the doubt or that you're like being okay with that person that did you wrong, like it's not saying that you're like, oh, it's okay if you did that to me. No, that can still be wrong. That's a separate situation from you being at peace with that person. - Yeah, it's like, not even, I wanna say it's kinda like, I forgive you, but it's like, you know, I feel good about the situation or whatever it being over and I just feel like I'm ready to move past it and be at peace with whatever it is that happened or whatever that person's decision is, regardless of your feelings towards me or the situation. - Irregardless.
