In the news, I'm Pen Thomas, the widow of Bow Biden testified in Hunter Biden's federal gun trial today. Halle Biden told jurors about the moment she found Hunter's revolver in the console of his truck. She described putting the gun into a leather pouch, stuffing it into a shopping bag and tossing it in a trash can outside a market near her home. She said she realizes it was a stupid idea now but was panicking. Callie, who had a brief romantic relationship with Hunter after Bow Biden died in 2015, testified that from the time Hunter returned to Delaware from a 2018 trip to California, until she threw away his gun, she did not see him using drugs. He's been charged with three felonies and pleaded not guilty, to lying to a federally licensed gun dealer, making a false claim on the application by saying he was not a drug user, and illegally having the gun for 11 days. I'm Hay up in Jwanney. Donald Trump returned to the campaign trail in Arizona, his first appearance in a battleground state since he was convicted in a hush money scandal in New York. We have to straighten out what's going on in these sports. We've got a rigged deal going in this whole country and we've got to do it and those appellate courts have to step up. The judge has ordered Steve Bannon to report to prison by July 1st to serve a four month sentence for defying a subpoena from the House Committee that investigated the Capitol riot. An authorities in Texas have arrested seven people suspected of smuggling migrants. It happened in Bear County where the sheriff said more than two dozen migrants were located after authorities were tipped off to a smuggling operation. They followed a trailer being towed into a residential area and found the group inside a home, about a dozen needed hospitalization for heat related injuries with temperatures outside around 100 degrees. The sheriff says the migrants had been packed into a false compartment beneath the trailer where they stayed for about three hours without any water. I'm Jackie Quinn. This is AP News.
