At a ceremony marking the invasion's 80th anniversary, Ed Berthold read from a letter home. Dear Ron, just a few lines to tell you we are all okay. Berthold was a 24 year old bomber pilot from Chicago. We prove mission number 10 on D-Day. It certainly was terrific show, what we could see. This is what everyone has been waiting for. In the letter, Berthold also mentioned something lighter. His weekly rations included American candy. Oh Harry, baby Ruth. Berthold was among 14 Americans, whom French President Emmanuel Macron today awarded the Legion of Honor. I'm Sagar McGony. Former President Donald Trump's longtime ally, Steve Bannon, is being ordered to report to prison July 1st. He was sentenced to four months for refusing to appear before the House Committee that investigated the Capitol riot. Merrick Garland, Lisa Monaco, the entire Justice Department. In his first test flight with astronauts, Boeing's new capsule arrived at the International Space Station. The docking was almost derailed by a last minute thruster problem. There were also some leaks on the capsule. This is AP news. Prosecutors on Long Island are charging a former architect with the deaths of a fifth and sixth woman in the Gilgo Beach serial killings. District Attorney Ray Tierney says there's DNA evidence linking suspect Rex Hureman to two more victims and says on WABC, they found an online planner on Hureman's computer that allegedly details contacting sex workers, torturing and killing them. To hunt them down and to bring them to bring them under his control and to kill them. Allegedly with notes on how to do it better next time, Hureman was in court on these two latest charges. Also there, the cousin of Jessica Taylor, who vanished in 2003. 21 years since she was taken from us longer than the chance that she got to be alive.
