AP News. I'm Ed Donohue. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is back in the Middle East, trying again to get Israel and Hamas to agree to a ceasefire. Blinken says Israel is ready to say yes. If you want a ceasefire, press Hamas to say yes. If you want to alleviate the terrible suffering of Palestinians in Gaza, press Hamas to say yes. The visit comes after the rescue of four Israeli hostages. Their families are reacting. Here's the AP's Julie Walker. For it, my year, the mother of 22-year-old Al Mag. There will not be a political conflict in France with the Paris Olympics. IOC President Thomas Bakk says that the snap national election, called by French President Emmanuel Macron, will not impact the Paris Olympics. Bakk adds the Paris Games have almost had broad support across the French political spectrum, saying, "I have no indications whatsoever that this unity will break now, just before the Games open." Macron dissolved the lower house of France's parliament in a surprise announcement on Sunday. Despite the political uncertainty, Bakk says any election was part of a democratic process that's not going to disturb the Games. There will be a new parliament, a new government, and everybody will support the Games. I'm Charles D'letesma.
