AP News, I'm Kaya Kundjwani, AP correspondent Charles Del Adesmo reports on an attack on a bus carrying religious devotees in India-controlled Kashmir. India's probing an attack in which suspected militants fired at a bus carrying Hindu pilgrims in India-controlled Kashmir, killing at least nine and injuring over 30. The attack caused the vehicle to fall into a deep gorge on Sunday in Jammu Province, a team from the National Investigation Agency has reached the site of the attack, the Press Trust of India News Agency reports. Security forces are trying to track down those suspected to be responsible. A police officer says some of the victims had gunshot wounds and blamed the attack on Muslim militants who are fighting Indian rule in Kashmir. I'm Charles Del Adesmo. French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that he was dissolving the National Assembly and calling a snap "legislative" election. The announcement came after his party suffered a heavy defeat in elections for the European Parliament. When addressed to the nation from the Elissee presidential palace, Macron said, via French broadcaster Téaphan, "I've decided to give you back the choice of our parliamentary future through the vote, and therefore dissolving the National Assembly." He added that the vote will take place in two rounds on June the 30th and July the 7th. The move comes as first projected results from France put the far-right National Rally Party, well ahead in the European Union's parliamentary election, defeating Macron's pro-European centrists, according to French opinion poll institutes.
