A.P. News. I'm Ed Donohue. The Justice Department says it will not prosecute the leader of the Justice Department, Attorney General Merrick Garland, after he was found in contempt of Congress. Garland had refused to give House Republicans audio of President Biden's interview in his classified documents case, infuriating House Speaker Mike Johnson and others. We have to defend the Constitution. We have to defend the authority of Congress. The House then held Garland in contempt. The Justice Department has told Johnson Garland's actions did not constitute a crime and he will not be prosecuted. The White House had blocked release of the tape by invoking executive privilege, saying the GOP simply wanted to chop up the recordings and use them for political gain. And Garland held strong while under threat of contempt. I will not be intimidated. And the Justice Department will not be intimidated. Saga or Magony Washington. Russian President Vladimir Putin is promising if Ukraine starts withdrawing troops from the four regions annexed by Moscow in 2022, he would immediately order a ceasefire in Ukraine. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin says Putin could end this war today. He is not in any position to dictate to Ukraine what they must do to bring about peace. The federal judge is ordering the liquidation of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' personal assets. He owes $1.5 billion for his false claims on his Infowars media platform. The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Connecticut was a hoax. I never said or did any of the things they claimed on Sandy Hook. Two judges in Texas in Connecticut found me guilty by default and then had literal show trials on how guilty I was. The Supreme Court struck down a Trump-era ban on bump stocks.
