AP News, I'm Jackie Quinn. The leaders of the group of seven nations are meeting in Puglia, Italy today for their annual Global Summit. They've agreed to use frozen Russian assets to secure a $50 billion loan for Ukraine to provide military aid. And White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan says, "The group will endorse the ceasefire plan for Israel that Hamas is trying to change." He says Israeli leaders are on board. "Israel has supplied this proposal. It has been sitting on the table for some time. Israel has not contradicted or walked that back. To this day, they stand behind the proposal that was put on the table in May that President Biden described in his May 31 speech." Sullivan also took a swipe at former President Donald Trump while discussing today's international cooperation. "Pass times when the U.S. has not been aligned and what you are going to see here in Puglia is something that can actually be measured from my perspective in improved American standing in the world and the improved capacity of the United States to deliver for its people." Trump has a breakfast today with House Republicans on Capitol Hill. It's his first return since the deadly Capitol insurrection in 2021. There's a lawsuit against the Biden plan to limit asylum at the U.S. border. Here's our Ben Thomas. "It went into effect immediately because the latest figures were at about 4,000 daily. The groups call it legally indistinguishable from former President Trump's actions. It's the first test of the legality of Biden's crackdown, which came after months of internal White House deliberations."
