A.P. News, I'm Jackie Quinn. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is in Qatar, where he says Hamas has again demanded changes in the terms of a ceasefire proposal. Our Sagar Magani reports. Blinken is not saying what they are, but some of the changes are workable, some are not. The secretary is in Qatar, pushing a plan that has global support, but not full-backing from either Hamas or Israel. He says the U.S. and fellow mediators will keep working. "I believe those gaps are bridgeable. It doesn't mean they will be bridge, because again, it ultimately depends on people saying yes." Sagar Magani, Washington. In Kuwait, a fire sweeps through a residential building. At least 41 people have died. A new report finds inflation in the United States eased in May for a second straight month. A hopeful sign the worst is over. And if the trend continues, the Fed could move toward lowering its benchmark lending rate, now at a 23-year high. An execution in Missouri last night, 69-year-old David Hoja received a lethal injection for killing an ex-lover and her husband in 2009. Atlanta authorities are investigating a fatal shooting on a transit bus that was the object of a police chase. Our Julie Walker reports. Police say the county transit bus took off after officers responded to a report of gunfire and a possible hostage situation. It was eventually stopped in DeKalb County and 39-year-old Joseph Greer was taken into custody. A fleet of Russian warships and aircraft began entering the Caribbean in what some see as a projection of strength. Tensions have been growing over Western support for Ukraine. A Virginia church has been booted from the Southern Baptist Convention. This is AP News. Several candidates endorsed by Donald Trump have won their primary races, including retired Army Captain Sam Brown of Nevada, vying to oust incumbent Democrat Jackie Rosen. And our Jennifer King has results in South Carolina. In South Carolina's Tuesday primaries incumbent Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace defeated challengers Bill Young and Catherine Templeton, who had the backing of former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. In Mace's second term, she went from a critic of Donald Trump to receiving his endorsement. She'll face Democrat Michael Moore, a businessman who founded Charleston's International African American Museum. The first district was redrawn to be more Republican. And in the third district, a Black pastor endorsed by Trump, Mark Burns, has a June 25th runoff against Sherry Biggs. The winner takes on Byron Best, a Sherman Williams paint store manager from Greenwood. Democrat Jim Clyburn takes on Republican attorney Duke Buckner in the sixth district. I'm Jennifer King.
