This is Turley Talks. Who Donald Trump is and who he will be again. Well, the Biden campaign needs to set the narrative early that Biden is competent and capable, capable to lead going forward. And he absolutely cannot have a senior moment at this debate. That's what I heard from, I was in Wisconsin and Michigan, two weeks ago for a lot of focus groups. And what I heard from voters, Democrats who support Biden, is just that they are going to be watching, and they want to make sure that he's up to the task. They might still be planning to vote for him, but they still, they're uncomfortable about the age, and it really is an albatross that is hanging around this candidate campaign. An albatross that's hanging around this candidate in this campaign, even MSNBC is admitting that Biden cannot possibly have a senior moment in the upcoming debate, or he's done. You can officially stick a fork and a bunch of gang seriously, though. Don't worry. At least as far, well, as far as Trump is concerned, like you said in Philly, Biden's going to get a big shot in the ass before the debate. He'll be flying high as a kite for the hour they're together. But it does wear off. So we saw it at the State of the Union towards the end. He was sounding pretty loopy towards the end. So we'll see how it all turns out this Thursday night. But in the end, we will find out, as tonight we will find out, it probably doesn't matter. And you're not going to believe the latest polls. For the last several weeks, all the polls from Virginia have been showing Trump and Biden tied in a state that Biden won by double digits back in 2020. Then it was Minnesota. Same thing. Trump was within the margin of error in a reliably blue state, a state so blue that every single Democrat candidate for president, including Walter Mondale, has won it in the last four decades. Then to the utter horror of Democrats across the nation, it was New York. Where poll after poll of late has been showing Trump nipping at Biden's heels in a state where Biden won by nearly 25 points just a few short years ago. Now these were the polls that originally started to freak out the Democrats showing Biden and either tied or Trump coming within the margin of error. Now we've got three new blue state polls coming out where Trump is within the margin of error to Biden and one, he's even beating him. Now take a look at the latest from the McLaughlin group. What you're seeing here, especially if you're listening by way of our 20 million podcast downloads, what you are seeing here gang. Are three of the bluest of blue states, Washington, New Jersey and Oregon. According to McLaughlin, this just dropped tonight. According to McLaughlin, Biden is leading Trump in Washington, a state that has not voted Republican in decades, a state that Biden won by over 20 points in 2020. Right now, as we speak, Biden is leading Trump by two points. It's within the margin of error, two points, 44 to 42. In New Jersey, again, a state that Biden won in 2020 by nearly 20 points. They're now tied. 43 apiece. And then the shocker. Oregon. Again, a state that Biden won by 16 points a few short years ago. It is now according to McLaughlin. It is now Trump up by two. 45 to 43. Stunning stuff. Now, of course, this is going to have to get aggregated, right? And we always look at the aggregate polls. So it's going to have to get averaged out with the other polls and we're going to have to watch if we're seeing other polls of these three states. Washington, New Jersey and Oregon, illicit comparable results. But it is fascinating that these polls have come out on the heels of the new national poll. And it's the latest from Rasmussen. I don't know how many of you saw it drop this weekend. The latest Rasmussen poll now has Trump up nine points over Biden. 49 to 40. Now, when you factor in RFK junior, the lead goes to double digits goes to 10 points. It's, I mean, well, let's just let's just say what it's saying. I mean, the Western Journal is calling it blatantly landslide territory. Last president to win by double digit margins was Ronald Reagan in 1984. Now, again, that said, we have to obviously take this lead with a grain of salt. It goes way beyond the polling aggregate, which is about a point, by the way, Trump has about a one point lead. In the RCP polling average, that's from Red Eagle politics there, great, great Twitter feed if you haven't followed him. Trump is about a one point lead when you take the real clear politics polling average that aggregates all the polls out there. And by the way, what's so interesting here as he points out is that Trump's lead today is average lead is actually 0.1% higher than it was before the conviction. Imagine that. But if these polls are suggestive, the McLachlan, the McLachlan poll in the Rasmussen poll are showing Trump. Poll is possibly to be running away with this here. Again, we're going to have to see because what we're seeing again, possibly seeing according to McLachlan in Washington, Oregon and New Jersey. Fascinatingly mirrors comparable polling in the three states I started off with, Virginia, Minnesota and New York. Again, it's amazing stuff. And wait till you see what Trump is actually doing in those states. Obviously, his internal polling issue, and by the way, they spend big bucks on an internal polling, like the McLachlan group, for example, spending on the McLachlan group. We have now got reports confirming that Trump is actively expanding the electoral map. He's opening up field offices in Virginia and Minnesota. Again, this is unprecedented for a Republican in the last 20 years. He's opening up eight offices in Minnesota. He's opening up 11 in Virginia. Now, again, gang, this is huge. Remember, in order to make sense of what's happening here, Trump's doing two things in effect. Trump is forcing Biden to spend money in states that he'd rather not have to defend, right? I mean, no one in the Biden camp imagined in their worst nightmares that they would have to be defending Minnesota and Virginia. No one. I promise you that. As far as they were concerned, those states were safely blew. No one in the Biden camp imagined that they would have to be dumping tens of millions of dollars defending those states. That's number one. But number two, what's so key here is Trump doesn't have to win Virginia. He doesn't have to win Minnesota. He doesn't have to win. Well, actually, one poll shows he is leading slightly in Minnesota. But being tied in those two states or being within the margin of error means you're going to start seeing comparable polling in states like Washington, Oregon, and New Jersey. If we're talking about Trump possibly winning Minnesota and Virginia, it's obviously going to be part of the conversation that Trump is nipping at Biden's heels in other blue states. And that's forcing Biden to have to spend money in states that should be safely and reliably blue. And then we talked about New York in our second video today, Lee Zeldin, who came. He came within just a few points himself of getting elected as governor of New York, great Republican Lee Zeldin. He has a piece out today in the New York Post arguing that Trump does indeed have a very, very good shot at doing the unthinkable of actually winning New York. He's pointing, not only is Trump within six points of Biden, but he's pointing out that New York independents actually favor Trump by 10 points by double digits. So again, if he's within six points of Biden, he's just outside that margin of error. Biden won New York, just to compare, he won New York by nearly 25 points in 2020. This is almost now inside the margin of error in a state that Biden won by 23 freaking points. And what Zeldin argues is that if Biden, we talked about it today, if Biden's approval ratings continue to sink along with the economy, that could indeed make all the difference and put Trump within the margin of error in New York. So at the very least, Biden is having to spend money, even defending the bluest of blue states like New York. And if these polls from a Glockman are suggestive of some kind of trend, he's going to have to be spending money in Washington and Oregon and New Jersey. And again, to put it all in perspective, he does, it's not even an issue of Trump actually winning these states. Yes, he's coming within, like landslide territory here. Yeah, I get it, but he doesn't actually have to win. Because again, as, as our favorite poll analysts, Rich Barris, the people's button points out, if he's if Trump and Biden are tied in Virginia, if they're tied in Minnesota, if Trump is almost within the margin of error in New York, he's going to win Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. That's just, there's no conceivable universe where he's tied in Virginia, but he doesn't win Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Why? Because there's significantly more Republicans in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. If he's tied with Biden in a state that has nowhere near the amount of Republicans as Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, how much more than is Trump leading in those states, forget Arizona and Georgia and Florida and North Carolina. Forget the Sunbelt. I mean, that's gone. That's gone. You're not tied in Virginia, tied in Minnesota with coming close to the margin of error in New York. And then possibly again, we'll have to see more polls coming up, possibly even like margin of error, tied or even leading in states like Washington, New Jersey and Oregon, and you're going to lose all the other swings. That's just not going to happen. You're going to win. And so this is forcing Biden to have to spend money in states he never even imagined to have to spend speaking. Speaking of spending money. Did you see this? This is delicious. This is from Politico today. Look at that. Look at that. What's in quotes? Depression. Democrats are admittedly depressed. That's the word, Politico uses. And remember, Politico is just a hack for the Republic of for the Democratic Party at this point. Democrat operatives are openly depressed because they've seen their fundraising advantage that they were relying on vanish right before their very eyes and interestingly enough, it happened after the guilty verdict. Now, gang, remember, historically the incumbent always has the money advantage. He's the president. President can raise as much money as he wants. That's one of the advantages of being president. The challengers shouldn't even be close on the money side. That's why the incumbent, one of the reasons why the incumbent always has an advantage. The challengers shouldn't even be close, let alone a convicted felon. Said the people who refuse to say the term illegal alien, but as it turns out, Trump isn't just out fundraising Biden. He's literally crushing him by two to one. Two to one margins in terms of the dollars he's raking in. This is largely, we talked about this before in a video. Oh, last couple of weeks. It does look like the billionaire class appears to be more and more citing with Trump. We talked today about Kathy Wood, right? The CEO of our investments. She came out over the weekend so she's voting Trump. She said it publicly in front of an entire audience. And she said base solely on the economy. She said, I only the economy is my only gauge. I want my arc investments and my invest doors to flourish. So I, I vote base solely on the economy. Thank God. And she should be. That's what she is. She's a CEO of a major mutual fund. And she came out and said it's Trump. Trump all the way. Trump had the best record. His first three years, she claimed was the best record of any president ever, even Reagan, even better than Reagan's first three years. I mean, we were energy independent. We had taxes cut, economy was blowing away in terms of growth, whatever Obama never went beyond 3% growth with Obama. I don't think it ever went below 4% with Trump in his first three years. So this political article admits that right now as we speak, Democrat operatives are actually getting very depressed at how bad things are. And you just saw that with that MSNBC commentator there going, Joe Biden just cannot have a senior moment this Thursday night. If he does, he's gone. And with these latest polls coming out of some of the deepest blue states out there like Washington, Oregon and New Jersey. It looks like that depression may just be getting started. All right, gang.
