Avalanche Draft Preview - Featuring Adam Kimelman of NHL.com - S4

With the draft less than a week away, Adam Kimelman joins the show once again to look at options for the Avs in the first round and beyond. With their highest pick since 2019, who could be available to the Avalanche at 24th overall? What's the possibility for another late round steal like Cal Ritchie last year? Where does this draft stack up to years past, and how does Macklin Celebrini compare to other first overall picks? Ultimately, will the Avs hold on to the 24th overall pick or move it? It is podcast your home for everything Colorado avalanche on the hockey podcast network. Here's your hosts Griffin Young's and Christian Boulay Hello everybody. Welcome back to another edition of the toad abs. It is podcast on the hockey podcast network I am Griffin Young's joined by Christian Boulay at as always it is draft season Still feels like we're in the midst of the craziest part of the year because we are but the draft is less than a week Away, so of course we had to bring back our old friend Adam Kilman from NHL calm to teach us Everything that we have fallen behind with with all the craziness that's been going on over the last couple of months So Adam, thank you so much for joining us once again. How are you doing today? I'm? Good guys just you know getting the last little teas cross and eyes dotted before we head out to Las Vegas for the draft on Well, I'll go out on Tuesday. So big night is Friday and Saturday. So it's it's been fun It is definitely the busy season right now We were just talking off the air where again game seven for today by the time you're listening to this Probably one of the biggest games of the century in our opinion Then you're gonna have all probably a couple of trades start to come through over the next couple of days Then the actual draft itself being in the sphere over the next Friday and Saturday then free agency So it's gonna be a crazy time for all of us coming up But I'm ready to just hop right in and talk about this draft coming up the avalanche are picking 24th overall this season Kind of the highest pick they've had in a minute here trading so many picks and Obviously going on to win the Stanley Cup and having some of the the two first round picks last year which we had you on to talk about but How do you compare this draft to last year in terms of like that late first round talent because we know last year was a bit of a Higher-end draft they end up getting Cal Richie and Gullyev and how rich she ends up looking like a steal Is there any possibility for that kind of pick again for the avalanche? Oh for sure I think this year, you know, it's hard to say I always tell people when they ask me how the draft is ask me that question five years from now because then I'll be able to know But if you look at the projection of it, you know, Celebrini obviously Macklin Celebrini the Boston University freshman center Who's most likely gonna go number one? He looks like he's gonna be a franchise player Beyond that, I don't know if there's gonna be a lot of of grand slam home run picks But I think there's gonna be a lot of doubles a lot of guys who who can be cornerstone players For a franchise, so I think there's gonna be a really good chance and I don't know where those players are gonna be It seems, you know number one is kind of in a tier in his own then you go maybe two through six and then you can kind of go six to 25 and and the value of those players the projection of those players all seem to be Pretty high not maybe superstar level high, but pretty good Contributing NHL players top six forwards top four defenseman So I think it's a deep draft in that regard straight through, you know Almost through the end of the first round where there's a chance to get a really good player Yeah, you have the abs taken in your weight is mock draft Igor Shouldn't shouldn't rough guys. Can I get that right? Sure in a chef you go turn it Yeah, you know there's a lot to like about him, you know He's a big strong kid think he measured now He was part of that he didn't come to scout in combine But I think he was part of that gold star camp down in Florida the week after the combine I think he measured in about six foot two and in Close to 210 pounds, so he is your we were typical power forward and you watch him he was dominant, you know in the lower levels in Russia you got into the KHL Looked, you know, it's hard when you're an 18 year old player those guys don't usually get the ice time Commensurate to what their talent might be if he was playing in say, you know the Canadian Hockey League or United States Hockey League where he would be a top-line guy he projects to be a top-line power forward a guy who's big and strong can take the puck Off the wall skate it to the net create chances, you know That's the kind of guy that if he's available again the the quote-unquote Russia factor is something that teams are gonna have to deal with but if you're patient and I think the Avalanche are in a good position to be patient because of where they are as far as their Stanley cup hopes their cup chances They have the opportunity to be patient There's a chance for them to really get a diamond in the rough here farther down in the draft that maybe some of the teams might not have the patience to to pick Yeah, Churnishov when I've just done my draft research and everything like that That to me of all the realistic options for the avalanche is 100% at the top of my list in terms of the power forward option And do you think even with the the Mitchkov stuff that we've seen started to come out over the the last couple of days here That he might just end up being with the Flyers as soon as next season is that still going to be a factor That's going to affect teams in this draft where they're still worried about potentially those long wait times And like the Avalanche might still be doing with Gullyev after picking him late in the first round last year Do you still think that could be a reason why you see a guy like Churnishov drop? Well, I think it depends on each organization, you know, obviously we talked to Danny Brier last week the Flyers general manager and he said a few times like We've shown that we're willing to take those big swings on players from Russia if the players talented enough and and I've seen all the Same reports that you guys have that that Mitchkov is maybe going to come over this season Obviously the goalie Ivan Fidotov did come over for them late last season when they weren't sure They had another young goalie prospect who they're very high on come over late last season They were able to get him out of Russia, you know, you look what Utah did, you know When they were the coyotes last season taking two Russia players in the first round Simisha, you know, Demetri Simisha and Daniel boot, you know, some teams have shown a willingness to Make that choice and to go down that route and to take whatever Patience is needed to get that player and I think, you know, obviously Colorado showed They were willing to take that chance last year with Mikhail Goliath and and we'll see what the status is of him If he's able to come over But I think one of the things that that I kind of look towards is if his name was Mike Smith and he was playing in London or if he was playing in Brandon in the Western League He would probably need two maybe three years of development before he's considered an NHL guy If you are picking in that 25 to 30 range Well, if he gets it in in Western Hockey League NC double a or Russia I'm not sure what the difference is there Other than you don't have eyes on him You maybe can't get hands on him to have that direct contact with him But he's gonna need development one way or the other so, you know I think that all factors into it what the contractual status is and you know again, how willing how patient are you how willing to be patient? Are you to get the player over here to allow him to have the development that he needs? So we'll see what happens But you know, obviously Colorado has shown that they're willing to take a chance at least they were last year with Goliath And when you look at some of these guys in that that 24 range Who would you classify as a realistic option for the avalanche that has maybe the highest ceiling? And the guy that would maybe be the safest bet to make the NHL unifits just in the bottom six role Well, I think a guy who could be there for them is uh jett lechanko the center from quell from the ontario hockey league He he's a burner. He is a speed guy Who stepped into a larger role this season on a team that really wasn't particularly good and he led them in scoring He was out there in every situation power play penalty kill Um impacted every area of their game. You only knock on lechanko from talking to you know In general manager out there george bernette was we wanted to shoot the puck more It's got a really good shot. We want to use it more be a little quote-unquote more selfish in the offensive zone and in in talking To lechanko for a story i did on nhl.com. He understands that and it's something he's gonna try to be more of you know Move, you know, give teams a little bit of something else to think about when he's got the puck in the offensive zone Be more of a shooter rather than a playmaker. The guy who i'm wondering about is trevor connelli From tri-city in the in the united states hockey league. He's a guy who's had some there are some question marks around his on and off ice maturity Uh, he's gonna go to providence college in the fall uh playing for a really good coach there and nate leman And if he's you know the talent on the ice is obvious He was think he averaged a point and a half per game this year in the united states hockey league, which is pretty significant if he can smooth over the You know the maturity issues. I think he's a guy that some teams are gonna have to do really do their homework on Does he what kind of person you're getting as well as what kind of player but if he's willing to Mature if he's able to mature and grow He could be a really interesting option there for the avalanche down in that in that range if they're looking forward Yeah, connelli is going to be a very interesting person to watch in this draft christian Looked like you had a question you were about to ask. Yeah, I was going to say we were talking about this on the episode Uh, I think yesterday when we recorded What's going on with co-iserman? What what happened to him where he was considered to be like a top five pick and all of a sudden Like in your latest mock draft you had him go into the capitals um Why why is that what what happened to him that he went from being this Right there with macklin cell bring you to now he's falling late into the first round Well, I I think with with iserman what you see is just that dynamic shot that amazing scoring touch But you haven't seen a lot more than that and and look That the hardest thing to do in the nhl is score goals and cole iserman might be the best player at it In this year's draft class. However, there is more to the game than just scoring goals And those are the areas that he needs to improve his off puck play is an issue And it has been an issue and and in talking the cole he understands it's an issue And it's something he got better at as the season went on and I talked to nick for his coach at us national team program And they and he said look he's not no he's not where he's gonna be Because he's not there he doesn't have to be an nhl caliber, you know 200 foot player Right now because he doesn't have to be he's not at that level. He's gonna go to college He's gonna go to boston university. He's gonna have time to continue to Refine those gifts refine those elements to his game that aren't just this shooting touch and and you know, we had a My partner and I mike moryell on our podcast we talked about he told this story that craig button from tss His father jack button relayed to him that you know, you go back to the draft in 1977 I believe mike bossy is sitting there at number 14 For the new york islanders and the choice was bossy or or some other player And the the legendary decision was well bossy can't do anything other than shoot and al arbor says al arbor says to the general manager bill torris is i can teach him to play defense I can't teach the other guy to shoot like bossy can well they take bossy and and history shown with history shown for Stanley cups and and You know 577 goals and 10 years later mike bossy was obviously the right choice I'm not saying that's colizerman But if you're looking for somewhat similar that's sort of where we are with him where can he be Just good enough that a coach can depend on him in other situations that he can be more of a playmaker Instead of a just sit in the circle and rip box, right? He's got to be able to Be useful defensively he has to care defensively and and nick for the the national team coach at the under 18's look He was the guy late in the game up a goal Layin out in front of shots and blocking shots He's get he's making progress. Is he gonna ever be a selkie trophy winner? Probably not But you don't have to be when you have that dynamic scoring touch that he has he just has to be serviceable And a guy a coach can depend on just enough to put him out there in all those situations So I think teams sort of had to see that growth And then they have to hope that that growth continues as he goes to a higher level So that's the real question mark about kohlizerman Do you think there's any way possible that he falls to the abs at 24 because to me I think he he reminds me kind of what kohl coffee was coming out of Into the draft Uh, if he landed with the abs, I think iserman could be a stud I don't envision him being You know, I don't see him getting at past the teens, you know, some he is going to take a chance and say, you know what? That dynamic scoring touch that Puck shooting ability that puck play. It is too good to pass on We can hope and work on the other stuff the other stuff you can coach that into him Because he's a determined kid. He's a pretty good natured kid But he's a determined kid, you know He he entered the program with the goal of being the greatest goal scorer national team program history Well, he did it right he he scored one more goal 127 goals in two seasons one more than kohl coffee old scored So the work ethic is there the determination is there It just has to be focused on something other than shooting the puck if you can get through to him Well, you know, that's then you're talking about maybe a top five talent that you could get Somewhere between 14 and 20 in the draft Yeah, and we talk a lot about iserman's defensive play which leads me to the other side of the puck where Defencement seemed to be a hot topic a conversation in this draft Obviously you have celibranie and some of the the top forwards going towards the top But then you start to talk about maybe lefshinov and silly of and there could be a real run of Defencement in the top 10 Where would you rank these guys in terms of how they would project to the nhl? And are there any Any solid defencement going to be available like later in the first round still if there's Gonna be such a run? Oh, oh for sure. Um, you know, I I think when you there's probably five or six guys That are going to go off the board probably within the top 12 top 13 picks even, you know when you talk about antonsilaeve Um from russia artam lefshinov who's who's at michigan state? Zebulium from denver sam dickinson from london in the ontario league zane peract from sagon on the ontario league who I think is Going to be a phenomenal player just with the offensive abilities and you know, I love this fact about him He graduated high school at 16 So like yeah, you know, you taught we talk about hockey IQ and hockey sense And and we talk about work ethic and and what goes into that. I remember talking to him You know, we started school a year early So he was already up one grade and then and I think it was seps sixth grade He's like well, I could just I could just knock off another year here and jump right into eighth grade And he did it and he graduated two years early. So to me, you know That hockey sense combined with insane talent 33 goals and 96 points is at the fencemen in the ontario league You know all the way to the moral cup championship He's a hell of a player. He projects to be a really special one um carter yackam chuck from caligaring the western league squirt 30 goals this season another guy who He's already six three and 200 plus pounds and he hasn't even filled into his body yet And he still has to do a little bit of physical maturity there, but you look at that offensive skill set That's off the chart. So you got those guys and then there's another group kind of behind them Um a guy who could be there for the avalanche I think he's going to go a little bit higher is stian solberg the norwegian defensemen who played in in their top pro league But he really opened it up eyes to world championship had a really good performance as an 18 year old there You know 22 plus 22 plus minutes of ice time Physical play not afraid of you know playing with contact against bigger stronger older competition He is a guy that you know, if he's there I don't know if he will be but there's a chance he could be I could see teams really excited to grab solberg. He's going to go play for far just uh the swedish league next season But he doesn't look to me a guy that's all that far away Because he doesn't you know, you're not depending on him to be a big time producer He's not going to come over and be kale macar, right? He's more going to be a guy who can play Every aspect, you know second panel second power play first penalty kill You know on the ice it's up a goal down a goal just a well round the 200 foot defensemen Who has some decent snarl to his game and as he gets older and and more physically mature is going to be even better So he's a guy that I think could be a little bit of a dark horse in this year's draft What about like an atom here at check who's he's someone that's kind of caught my attention Over the last couple of days as I do a little more research on the draft Like I personally think he's going to go higher than 24 But do you think there's any chance someone like that could drop to 24 For sure I do because there are teams that are going to have some question about the the injury Um, there are even some question marks before the injury, you know scouts that we talked to are like Yeah, yeah, he seems like a good player They don't put him in the same he he's not spoken about the same way his brother was in his draft year, which was 20 2022 When he went number when he went in the top five that a clump is blue jackets So there's some there are some question marks there about What his potential upside is and then you're coming off the injury So there's even some more questions what his timeline is going to be he certainly has a talent to go in the first round Whether you know, I've seen him go as high as 14 to san hose I've also seen him a little bit lower into you know into the range of where the avalanche could be picking I have him at number 22 in my mock draft and national predators So, you know, we'll see I think he's a guy that Could be certainly available in that range another guy that I really like a little on the smaller side We're talking about guys coming off injuries. Aaron kivoharu played in finland this season He he missed six months because of a dislocated kneecap He sustained in a weird practice accident didn't come back until the world under 18s in marty The injury was in october. He didn't back and play until the under 18s in april So he missed a significant amount of time But he's got a really mature game in all areas You know, he's a guy that had he not gotten hurt We'd probably be talking about him in that same vein that we're talking about Booyam and dickinson and yakim chuck, you know, there are some question marks on the size He's five nine and about 180 pounds But with a healthy season next year in in finland I think he's a guy that could really be an impressive pick and and I think he's gonna also be In that area where the avalanche are picking again, you know, you do have some concerns about the size But the skating the smarts the hockey iq It's all what you're looking for and and projectable to be the input to be nhl caliber Those are my favorite kinds of players the guys who are cut like cal richy last year Who suffered through a big injury couldn't show a lot Fall in the draft and the year before are projected to be higher guys even if he is a bit on the smaller side But there is one more guy christian i'll let you ask what you want to ask next But one of the guys i'm really interested in this draft that I don't believe in your mock draft You had going in the first round, but that was right or richy who has obviously that impressive highlight reel What is it about his game in particular that Makes it seem like he might not be a target for some of these teams even towards the the end of the first round on such a High potential swing. What are some of the downsides to his game? So I think when you're looking for that 25 to 32 areas so we're talking eight picks There's probably about 15 guys 16 guys that you could probably Consider for that area and richy absolutely is one of them, you know High end offensive skill set. I don't know exactly what the questions are, but I think it's more of Teams are going to look for certain things and and certain, you know Tiny little separations between player a and player b and all it takes is one team to look at ride or richy and go yep That's our guy whether it's 25 28 31 Wherever I think he's going to fall in that range to see What the upside there is and and look he's a guy who's going to need, you know A little bit more time to physically mature and round out his game But again like a lot of the guys that are going to get picked in that spot If you have the right amount of patience He projects to be a guy that can really help a team in a top six role When that point comes and and I think for colorado because of where they are in their progression With mckinnon and ran and still smack in the prime of their careers Drafting a forward whether it's a churnish ev or richy Icon of any guys we talked about is perfect because then you're backfilling behind those guys to give them young energy support Three years from now when those guys when the guys you're drafting now, you assume or NHL ready I like that. I I've always found this interesting because it's the most important position in hockey And it's always just such a crapshoot when it comes to it What are the gold tenders looking like in this draft? Like who's your favorite gold tender going in this draft? I didn't see one in either of your mock drafts going in the first round What is it about gold tending that we don't see these high end prospects for goalies get drafted super high? I think it's it's so difficult to project when it comes to goalies What they're going to be as they move up a level because the pace of play on the ice picks up And then how does a goalie? How is he able to read that play? How is he able to stay? You know with all the technical advancements. I mean, yes, it's very simple. See puck stop puck, right? But there are so many technical things that go into it from a size standpoint from a technique standpoint from a How do you defend the bottom third of the net how you defend the upper third of the net? You're always trying to play guesswork versus what the shooters are doing So it becomes very difficult to project how a goalie is going to develop as he moves up along the ranks And it's interesting central scoutings number one goal tender mccallia gorov who plays for oma holly United states league Had when I believe at 8 22 and 9 this year with a 3 and a half goals against But when you dig into those numbers a little bit you realize he's planning on the worst team in the united states league They finished last in the league, but you look at his top 10 his final 10 games He'll have three goals or less than nine of them played to a nine oh six save percentage So what exactly are you getting and how do you define? How good a goalie might or might not be when the team in front of him struggles? Carter geortrum Owen sound is another one He's a guy played on a team that I believe they were 19th of 20 or they were near the bottom of the league in in the ontario hockey league But then he goes to the the helenka tournament in all last august And he wins a gold medal as the starting goalie he goes to the world under 18s in april at the end of the season We he's voted the best goalie in the tournament can it wins the gold medal? So it's really hard to judge and project What a goal tender is going to be I think with you gorov he's got the size you're looking for at 6'3 George is a little bit smaller at 6'1 and a shade over 200 pounds So You know everybody kind of wants that 6 foot 4 6 foot 5 on revassal f ski type Who can just fill the net and he's super athletic. So you it's a hard package to get I to me, I think you look towards the late second round Before the first goal he's taken whether it's you gorov whether it's card or george Whether it's able vene who plays in finland. He's number one on the international list I think you'll see a run on goalies, but I don't think that run starts. So probably Middle the late second round I've always just found that so interesting because it is like gold tender is the most unpredictable position in sports and You just have so many guys who you'll speak. Oh, he was drafted in the seventh round. He was undrafted But he because what was just sturkin drafted. He was fifth round or was he undrafted? He was a fourth round pick fourth round. So it's like it's some of the best gold tenders in the world are Picked in the random positions and I believe Um vassal f ski was a first round pick. He went 14th overall, right? Well, just look at the goal is there to be playing in game seven. Um on monday night Stewart Skinner was I believe a third or fourth round pick and surrogate babrowski was undrafted So, you know and and the backups Calvin pickard for edminton was uh, oh gosh. He was a late round pick I always get him and his brother confused brother was a first round pick who never made it And Anthony stollars flart is back up with a second round pick And he's the backup. So, you know, it's it's really difficult to to scout project and and kind of figure What a goal he's going to be and if you have a guy who's able to do that You don't let him go. So it's it's just it's a very unique position. It's very difficult to get a handle on Yeah, it's so it's just it's the combination of You're looking at 16 17 year olds that are going to change a lot over the course of the next couple years and gold tending Even when these guys are 35 change on a game-by-game basis. It's such an impossible thing to predict But I think I have an interesting question I I want to ask about the later rounds of this draft where you get past the first three rounds and Pretty much most people are in agreement that after that kind of becomes a crapshoot Do you have a player outside of maybe the first three rounds of the draft that if you were In a general manager's here you would be pounding the table to take late in a round where you think that there is some kind of upside That's he's a worthwhile project to keep an eye on later in the draft So one of the guys I kind of got to see a little bit of um Towards the the start of the combine and get to meet him a little bit is kevin he from nyagra Either forward with nyagra in the ontario league just a uh dynamics score Great shot doesn't have a lot of size at five eleven and uh and 180 pounds But he squared 31 goals in 64 games this year scouts really like the hockey iq and the work ethic The skating is you know an issue that which is why he's number 78 in central scoutings final rankings If he can get the skating where it needs to be the head for the game is off the charts You know you see him you watch him on tape. He's always a guy who's in the right position at all times But if you can't get to the spot at you can get that you can get away with that as a junior player A lot harder to do that the nhl level. So if he can get the skating to a serviceable area and certainly it's possible He could be a really good guy, you know, you're looking third fourth round Somebody could maybe get lucky with a guy like that or or someone like just an porrier Who led the cool back league in scoring into the playoffs, but you know five seven and 180 pounds Without the dynamic speed component You wonder if that's uh, you know something that would replicate or project to being an nhl player He's another one porrier is number 82 on central scoutings final rankings You know again if you get the skating where it needs to be and maybe he's able to get a little bit stronger Could you find him martin san louis type? You know when the third fourth round either in teams are going to look at those guys because when you get past that point You're looking for all right. He's got a b But c could really hold him back. Can we as an organization? Development wise get c close enough to a and b where we get an nhl player out of it All the guys at that point they're deficient somewhere Can you get that deficiency up to a point where You can project him to being an nhl roster guy So that's where that's what the focus is becomes at that point in the draft And to kind of continue on that thought when you personally are watching prospects and you're putting together mock drafts and rankings and things like that What are the traits that you value the most when you're looking at prospects that when You prefer this skill over another whether it's iq skating shot What what kind of players do you find ranking higher over others? To me the the foundation of every good player is skating You've got to be able to get from point a to point b and especially You know in with the way the game is played today You don't have to be a speed burner, right? You you just have to know how to get from point a to point b in the most efficient way for you possible You know the quicker the better, you know and guys who can make that You know guys who were impressive in that way skating forward backward You know they call it with the fence but especially it's four-way skating four-way mobility Forward backward left right, you know guys who are good in that area to me or the guys I always kind of Spend a little bit more time with and think okay because if you have the skating down Then everything else kind of builds off of that the hands the shot the hockey iq You can think of the game, but if you can't get to those spots You're a coach Basically at that point to me at least if the skating is there That's the number one thing and then it's the hockey iq if you know where to go and you know how to get there Then you're looking at a really good player. You look at all the elite players in the league What makes Sydney Crosby special? What makes Nathan McKinnon special? What makes Conor McDavid special? Conor Bedard special it's not necessarily the fact that they're track burners It's the fact that they know where to go they can see two three steps ahead That's sort of what you look for guys who are in the right position at the right time To then use their natural abilities to make the plays they need to make and you can kind of pick up on that As you watch these guys go little things you'll see like okay that that's the thing That's something he did. Let me watch it again. That's repeatable. That's projectable I think that guy, you know should go a little bit higher than maybe somebody who doesn't have that same Read and reactability and the skating to then get them to that spot I like that what is Where would you rank uh maklin so greeny and like the recent number one picks because he's obviously not the bedard level hype Because bedard was once in a generation, but where do you think he falls as a franchise player like what number one picked you? I compare him to the most. Well, you know, I think the guy that I've seen Compare him compared to the most with was jon is jonathan taves obviously he wasn't number one overall pick, but he's got that same sort of high-end skill combined with high-end work ethic Where he's so determined to be the best player out there That he's gonna do the work and he's not gonna rely on his his god-given ability, which is off the charts That's what makes him special. It's not that he's not a guy that's going to rely on his talent He's a guy that's going to rely on his work ethic to maximize his talent and you know We had uh sam kazantino from sports net and nhl network on our nhl draft class podcast Uh, it's coming up. It's going to release on monday But he talked about You know watching sydney crowsby in his draft year in remuski and kind of seeing the same thing That you saw out of celibranie where crowsby wasn't just going to rely on his on his skills Which obviously we all know is top five top ten in the history of the game He was the hardest worker and we've seen that all throughout his 19 year nhl career Where he's the the hardest working guy on the ice not to mention the most talented That's sort of the trend celibranie follows where he's going to be The hardest worker as well as the most talented guy and you've seen that you saw this season in college He goes into school, you know a year early He's an he's the youngest player in nc double a hockey and arguably the best player in nc double a hockey Wins the hoby baker not to mention he did it Coming off shoulder surgery where we didn't even think he'd be able to play game one of the season He ends up playing every game of the year for bu plays the world juniors It has a fantastic season I think he was what third and third or fourth among it's a double a players and scoring and as I said he won the hoby baker award Imagine what he's going to do with a healthy off season to train I think we're just scratching the surface of what maclin celibranie could possibly be at the nhl level Hey, everybody. Hope you've been enjoying this episode so far interrupting to bring you a word from our sponsor at draft king's sports book We are this close to crowning the stanley cup champion and with the action heating up on the ice It's even hotter at draft king's sports book an official sports betting partner Of vnh shell and if you want to get in on the action before the season wraps up We've got a deal for you new customers can get a no sweat up to 1,500 bucks just deposit at least five bucks and you'll get a bonus bet back equal to your first bet if it doesn't hit So what are you waiting for download the draft king sports book app now and use code t h p n that that's code T h pn for new customers to get a no sweat up to 1,500 bucks if your first bet doesn't hit Only on draft king's the crown is yours now back to the episode And to go a little further down that list to a potential number two pick which is iven to meet off He played the entirety of last season in the m h shell instead of the k h shell What do you think that means for his development? Does that feel like he's a year behind where someone would usually be in this draft year because we usually don't see a ton of m h l crossover to the n h shell right away and if he Is he going to the k h shell next year and is that something that a team like chicago at number two could pass on him for that reason? Well, I think so all right. Let me touch on a few things there with damadov I would have liked to have seen him be challenged more at the k h l level You know you watched him in that junior league and to me he he was just dominant He was too good for that league in certain area. I think he was average close to two points a game He should have probably been playing at the k h l level for whatever reason You know st. Petersburg didn't didn't want him there. Not sure why but I think next season he absolutely Shouldn't say absolutely, but he projects to be a contributing player in the k h l next season. So What is his upside? I think For me, you know, when I was kind of going over if I putting myself in the shoes of the shaggle black hawks Who would I take and it comes down to lev snov or damadov? I have questions about damadov because he's not a big physically imposing guy Right. So how is his skill set going to mesh against men? And we talked about with churna chef. He didn't get the full season in the k h l But he got enough time where you could kind of make a judgment of what he could be You didn't get that with damadov. So to me it makes the projection a little bit more difficult now I've seen scouts say they believe damadov is more talented than matt vay mitch cop who we talked about her Who went number seven that a flyers last season. Yeah, so You know, how do you sort of square all that up? I think When you're making that decision, damadov is going to need two years of development. No matter where that is k h l north america wherever So you make that pick you're assuming he's you're not going to see him for three seasons right because you're going to need Eat the two season development then get him over and then see what happens Will he kind of make that make that jump in the k h l level where he's able to Use that skill set that he has to the best of his ability to maximize all those Things that he does so well the skating the offensive head for the game the excitement that he brings to the rink I would have liked to have seen it a little bit more this season in the k h l We didn't but if you're just judging off what he did in in the junior league He's he projects to be an incredibly dynamic player What team are you most excited to watch this weekend when it comes to the draft like what what team do you think is going to just Go all out and just have a great draft, which is impossible to predict. But what what team are you looking at most? Well, I think you've heard so many rumors for trades teams are going to try to move up move back You know, I look at what sandhose has a chance to do with one and four team if they keep 14 if they don't try to you know Expand what they want to do Get even more picks. You know, I I think they have I got to check my nose But I think they have like three picks and there are four picks in the in each of the two picks and each of the first three rounds They got a chance to really do a lot of exciting things I you know, obviously they're going to get celebrating at number one and then What do you do at 14? Do you find him a winger to play with a guy like kohl eiserman? You know, maybe a guy like back at sanica You know, someone like someone in that area. Do you look to find a defenseman? Do you look to say? Well, if carter yackenchock is there that's our guy if for some reason, you know, sam dickens and falls a little bit Well, that's our guy. Let's let's get that let's get that anchor on the back end It's going to be very interesting. I think they have a chance to really You know move their rebuild along. There's a lot of work they need to do They've done very well. I think drafting forwards. You know, you got to see william eklin's a little bit this season I really like what fillet beast that projects to be when he comes over next season from sweden You know quent musty at a fantastic year in the ontario league um, yeah, there's a lot to be excited about and getting the number one pick and having maclin cell librini sort of as the the guy it's all going to revolve around I think the future looks really really bright in san hose and Listen, are they going to contend for a playoff spot next season with or without cell librini? No But I I think you're seeing the foundation go in for what could be you know, we're talking that 26 27 season Maybe we're talking about a playoff contender that soon as these young players sort of start the coalesce and get their nhl legs under them Yeah, and I think one of the prospects that i'm i'm surprised hasn't come up yet because he's probably my favorite player in the draft And i'm definitely biased because he's the son of one of my favorite players of all time Tijiginla you had going to the flyers at 12. Do you think he gets past Calgary at number nine that they would pass up that opportunity? You know, it's interesting. I've had that debate with a couple of people You know to me. I mean look he he skated with that aginla name on his back his whole life Right being germ aginla's son There's a lot that goes into that, you know, and and I think he's touched on it. You know, everybody says, oh, yeah You know, you never will be as good as your dad blah blah blah that kind of stuff It's hard to compete with what 600 goals for sure. He's a hall of fame or he's an all-time legend to the game And you're wearing the jersey now You're going to put him in in the saddle dome or whatever new building they're going to build in three or four years And he's literally going to be skating in the shadow of his father's jersey 41 nights a year How does he handle that? To me, I almost think it would be better for the young men To go to somewhere else where look is the name aginla gonna be with him? Yes, is the pressure gonna be there? Absolutely Is it a little bit less than it would be in Calgary for sure? Now the other part of that is take the name off the back of the gym the back of the jersey Teach jones teach smith All day Calgary gets him the skill the head for the game the hockey IQ the hands the shot All top shelf all top notch all projects to be top six nhl forward You know, you know what the father's like and having met teach that apple did not fall fall far from the tree at all He is his father's son mindset Hockey ability everything. He's a good person as well as a good player Want those kind of people in your organization? Yeah, so you know, I think there's really really good arguments Both ways and you know, it was something that I really you know after talking to some more scouts I had some make some really interesting, you know I had to kind of look at it from some different perspectives when we're kind of putting together our last mock draft Which is gonna come out in a couple of days here. I don't want to give anything away but there was some there was some Real thinking I had to do You know with from my perspective versus from what you know, the scouts I talk through their perspective So just for my selfish inquiry How far would the avalanche have to trade up to get tijiguela? Because that's my favorite guy in the draft bar none So just for my own selfish knowledge, how far up do you think they would have to go? Top 10 for sure if he I from from listening to people who I really trust I don't foresee him being I don't foresee him slipping out of the top 10 at this point the the the The term the teams in that area have seen what they need to see and there's some real You know impetus to if he's there grab. I don't think he's top five But although I have seen a couple mock drafts have him that high up Um, but for sure you got to get into the top 10 if you want that if if that's the player you want Yeah, you got to get up into the top 10 for sure to me at least Okay, okay, who's your um like favorite player in this draft class that could go in the first round Uh could go on the second round like who's your favorite player that you've in your time scouting for the past Year and a half two years. Who do you like the most? Oh gosh, you know, it's like who's your favorite child, right? It's hard to pick just one I've had one of the things that stands out about this group There and you take the take the playing ability out of it Almost to a person. They're all good kids. They're all really personable fun interesting Funny kids who I got to spend some time with, you know what the combine I got to talk to um Michael brancic nigard and stian solberg the two Norwegian kids are going to be in the first round They were rooming together at the combine. So of course I had to ask them Who's the better? You know, what's Your buddy like as a roommate and I got some really funny answers, you know Solberg said to me, you know, I said what kind of roommate is brant is michael He's like he's on his lap. He's on his ipad all the time watching All the lights all he's on. I can't get to sleep, you know that kind of stuff He you know brancic nigard says solberg's the the dirty one, you know, always leaving his clothes on the floor So funny stuff like that, you know getting to talk to zane parek and finding out, you know His story and and again like I talked about how he graduated high school at 16 You know, it's fantastic stuff and then you know, macklin celebration another one who pushed early to graduate High school early to start college early whole eyes are men talking us through how you know He's a singer. He wants to be a singer. He loves, you know jumping on karaoke and he told us what his go-to karaoke song is a wagon wheel I forget who the Darius rucker. That's a good choice. That's a good choice That but that's his go-to song and you know when you mentioned that to some of the teammates and you can kind of see the eyes are No, it's like, you know, so it's hard for me to say, you know, this guy I really you know, I will say there was one guy I will mention and and You know his story really jumps out to me is michael hage the center from chicago in the united states hockey league You know, he's a guy that I one of my somebody else wrote and they quoted noel need him The general manager of chicago there who said that if michael hage had been healthy for two years We'd be talking about him as a top five pick so he he's from the toronto suburbs He goes down to chicago and he blows out his shoulder the first day of training camp last season Misses six months with a dislocated right shoulder in a weird little training camp accident first day Um missus six months comes back plays the last 13 games of the season Then he's rehabbing and he loses his father It's just a terrible story. Um Goes back to chicago after the funeral and he just immediately Right back to work tunnel visions and this is something he and I talked about because you know I also recently, you know lost my father about a year ago. So it was sort of Kind of almost therapeutic for me a little bit to talk to somebody who's kind of been through What he went through And he said, you know getting back in the gym getting back on the ice was something really really important to me Because it helped me like just kind of put that off to the side for a little bit And then you look at what he did as a player to fight through that level that kind of adversity Like and that's not something any 18-year-old kid should have to go through You know the on ice the off ice. I mean hockey's a rough sport. Everybody's gonna get hurt But then you then there's the other stuff that goes into it to me. There's a mental tough this there that Not a lot of kids are gonna have Because of what he's been through. So to me, you know, and I wrote about this story on nhl.com It was really impressive to meet him to see him You know talk to people around him who kind of watched him go through what he went through the last two years Not just, you know with one thing one of those two things Would be would be rough enough to go through to go through both of them at that age Yeah, the fact that he is where he is and he projects to be the player he's going to be it's incredibly impressive Yeah, I mean he sounds like such a great kid and like that's kind of the same thing i've taken away from a lot of Obviously, I haven't spoken to today them personally, but I feel like with a lot of them I'm just seeing a lot like yeah, this guy's just such a joy to be around people seem like such bright and And lively kids, but I got one last question And where do you feel? At least in the first round the biggest disconnect is where like you start to reach that next tier of talent In the draft where you get past maybe the top 10 or something like that Where do you feel that the biggest gap is in the draft between some of the the higher tier players? Well, I kind of touched on this earlier. I think number one is sort of in his own little class Right that's celebrating and nobody's touching him then I think you can go two through five two through six You know lefshnov Solaev Lindstrom demodov You know those guys. I think that's kind of their own little group Then you get to number six and I think you can go all the way through 25 And that's sort of that tier where you could look at you know 20 25 guys Maybe even 30 guys going in the one of those spots So there's a real And there's not a lot to separate those guys Defencement forward centers wingers whatever you kind of they're it's a real You know pope array of different kinds of guys different styles of players big guys smaller guys You know for his defense been power for types playmaking types You know, I look at a guy like kossehole enius the the finish ford Um, I think he had the fourth most points ever of an under 18 player in lega You know the guy only guys who had more bark of grandland and taco So that's the kind of player he is and he's a two-way player Um to me it's come from the same cloth you watch uh mark over austin minnesota You watch collage drew in adua. He's sort of that same kind of player high-end work ethic really good skill set um Really coach very well. Oh yoken in the former nhl player was his coach the last two years and all he had a great quote He said, you know, I watch jalenius. He's a top three percent talent in the world I play in the nhl. I was never a top three percent talent jalenius projects jalenius is a top three percent talent. He's a guy who could make that jump to the nhl as soon as next season Just because of how smart he is He could he's a guy who could start in the nhl is a fourth line center Five years into his career be your number one center Just as he kind of gets used to the game gets used to the pace of play Develbs more physically He's a guy who could be nhl ready maybe a little bit sooner than other guys and he could go anywhere from seven to 17 So that's the unpredictability of this year's draft Okay My last question not really related to the draft in a way Are you ready to go to the sphere? Have you been to the sphere before it looks like it's uh going to be a great spot to watch the draft uh Are you prepared for it? You know, I have seen some photos I did see some pictures from when fish played there And I did see some photos from when you two played there What I do know is This will be the first live tv event and the first sporting event held at the sphere And also what I know is steve mare who oversees all of our all of our content If you like watching if you like the all-star game If you like the looks of the outdoor games the last three four years arbor long steve's been with us If you think that's really cool and really good That steve mare and and his group the events the event NHL event staff All the people the broadcast staff all the people at steve kind of overseas Now you're going to put him in the sphere, which is state of the art Inside and outside screens something people have never seen before unlike any other building in the world I can't even imagine What that group is going to have cooked up for the draft what it's going to look like On tv live in person. Yeah, it's going to be it's going to be pretty awesome like I can't think of Whatever like you can picture in your mind Which is really difficult because it's such a unique building. I think they're going to over over deliver Okay, are you going to are you going to miss the experience of the the draft with the decentralization? Do you think it's going to affect much of anything? They're we still going to be able to have those kinds of draft experiences or do you feel like this might be a last hurrah I do have that last hurrah feeling where you know to the draft to me I always kind of equated to the last day of school Right Everybody's together and then when the draft ends everybody's going to kind of go home for the summer And you'll you'll see your friends in september when the season starts again or when trainee camp starts again So you're going to kind of lose that specialness when we go to the decentralized draft then I understand the reasoning behind it There's pros and cons and and listen I'm biased because I've covered the draft in every year since 2008 So I kind of enjoy the uniqueness of the of the NHL draft where it's the entire hockey world Pretty much is under one roof for however many days you are in whatever city you were in I think we're going to lose a little bit of something for that. However, if the teams are willing to be more active in their community to turn the draft into instead of one hockey destination 32 of them plus the draft site 33 Then all you're going to do is make more fans happier because not everybody can travel even to las vegas Not everybody can travel to vegas not everybody has that opportunity to get to the sphere to be there in person But you can be at whatever you are your hometown team if you are in calorado If you're in san hos today if you're in philadelphia in new york, whatever You can go to your teams wherever and be part of whatever Larger scale draft event they might have so I see pros and cons both ways Selfishly, I kind of like the way it is. I would have liked to have kept it that way But we'll see what happens. We'll see what the difference is next year when we get there Yeah, I completely agree I just I worked with the ravens for a little while it haven't involved in that draft experience Which is still a bit decentralized? They do and a lot of nfl teams put like you said that extra effort into a more local experience for the fan bases And you even saw detroit for the nfl draft is born at most Electric draft environments. I've ever seen still it just still takes that little extra effort and I I hope the nhl still Will put that and even after they decentralized the experience but christian do you have any any other last questions? No, I think i'm good All right. Well, adam, thank you very much for joining us today if you have any closing thoughts You want to tell people where to find your work. You've got the red carpet Well, anybody who wants to see or listen to any of the stuff we've done nhl.com/draft is our landing page for all of our draft content Stories mock drafts. We have the nhl draft class podcast that I co-host with mike moriel We've got our draft preview show dropping monday Very excited for that. You can go back and listen to any of our older episodes. We've had on Oh, goodness. We we've had on macklin cella brini. We've had on zebooium kaden linstrom colizerman We got them at the combine. We had sharks director of amateur scouting chris moorhouse Oh, we've had all the great minds men hl central scouting the guys who run each region the ontario league the quebec league the western league We did shows dedicated to each of those regions. We did um, yani vorannan who oversees international stuff So he was on our most recent show talking about some of the great prospects over in europe So definitely nhl draft class is the best place to go if you want to listen to our stuff nhl.com/draft You can follow me on twitter at nhl adamk or or x or whatever it's called now Um, yeah, definitely if you want to again, I'm biased But I don't think there's a better outlet for draft covers and what we do at nhl.com nhl.com/draft in the nhl draft class podcast Well, we completely agree with you on that because that's where I get 99 of all of my draft knowledge Again adam we really appreciate you coming on and and sharing all this with us because as our listeners know Prospects are really more of a blind spot for me So we appreciate you educating us and we're looking forward to this draft and I kind of hope the abs get a first round pick Just so we can have this conversation again next year because these are some of my favorite parts of the year Getting to learn all the prospects having you come on teach us all about them So I hope that that still works out for us in the future. But again, thank you very much for joining us today and hope to see you again soon absolutely guys was great stuff And thanks again to adam killman for joining us for another draft edition of the show It's really just better to have other people into all this force I cannot sit here and pretend that I know and have scouted every single prospect. I watch tape You know, I read scouting reports. I do my best but at the end of the day adam in particular a guy who was like Met these people in person and scouted them and knows a lot more intricacies to their game is much more fit to tell you About these kinds of things than we are But I'm very glad he had turn a shop to the avalanche of 24 because of all the realistic options like I said That's just a guy that fits right just based on everything i've read every tape that i've watched That's just a guy the abs love and if they have to wait a couple of years because of the russia factor I have really no problem with that. Yeah, I don't think that we're going to be in a rush to get players over here as quick as Like we we kind of touched on a little bit with adam but like matt they michkov Coming over a year after he's drafted. That's just hilarious because that guy should in the second or third pick But he was like half the episode with adam last year is what's going to happen with michkov he goes seven of the flyers And now he's probably going to be over there within a year So just take the best player and work out the wrestler Sometimes with like a caprisov you get screwed, but who was the van kuber one a couple years ago? He went like 10th. I'm blanking on his name The russian guy who was going to take forever to come over and it was such a high swing Wasn't kuzmenko was it wasn't kuzmenko i'm blanking on his name right now Oh, this is embarrassing because I I should totally but Colson. Yeah, it's a little In 2019 was kind of a michkov thing where this guy is going to take forever to come over He was over in 2021 Yeah, whereas like you see all the time like this guy's going to take five years to come over at the nichl's the best league The players are going to find a way over there eventually We're very rarely do you see these contracts fully honored for a guy like kova lego Maybe because that's more of a different situation, but for these higher-end picks Like even kuznetsov found his way over eventually and the caps want to Stanley cup in large part due to that pick So I don't think they regretted all that one It's gonna be interesting for sure because I think You look at michkov and he's maybe setting a trend for a lot of these russian players Yeah, well, it's just that's just kind of the the trend like you said that's been going on lately where Guys just are coming over faster nowadays and not to get fully laser-focused on churnishov Because I think there are a couple of of interesting additions where If the guy that he was talking about michael hague falls them at 24 somehow I'd be fully on board with that. They're one of the guys. I really like his nigh guard the norwegian I don't think he gets to 24 But I think he's a great two-way player that the i love co-iserman co-iserman's my guy But I don't think he's got fall. I saw your face slide up a little bit when I said that uh adam had him go into the caps Yeah, I was like, hmm But I think the caps they're gonna take a defenseman I think I think they're probably gonna go with euro check if he's there at 17 But I think co-iserman to the sharks Yeah, very tasty prospect. Yes, you get him And celibrania in the same draft who win will smith and will smith them just this draft Iserman coming into the year was top five. Yep, and some people said top two in october If you're getting him at 14 and you're getting celibrania at one That's scary and I liked a lot of what he was saying about iserman where yeah He's one dimensional, but his one dimension is so unbelievably good that if you get his other dimensions to okay That's a very high-end player and again My hottest take that I think the hottest take that I have is drafting kids at 18 is insane Where you don't you're not letting them grow into their bodies They haven't like they've just in a normal life. They just graduated to high school Where their bodies are still maturing and they still have a lot to learn about the game Where I see a project like co-iserman and if i'm running a team I ask myself how much faith do I have in my development staff to be able to get this player who is So good at the most important thing in the sport Which is scoring and if you can get him to move the puck better play better defensively Because it sounds like he's got a good attitude for it that he's willing to learn because again He's currently 17 years old. He's not even 18 yet I look at someone like that and I'm less talking about him and more talking about us How can we get him to where he needs to be? Because I loved what he said about mike bossy mike bossy You can't teach someone to shoot like mike bossy But you can get him to defend at a level that is acceptable You don't need him to win a selkie But if he's a guy that can score you 40 to 50 goals You take a chance on that They don't have enough faith in your organization to get a guy there a 17-year-old kid there Then the question's not about iserman. It's about you. Right. Right. So It's gonna be fun. I'm looking forward to it next week Uh, but I I think I'm pretty much tapped out man I don't think we're going down to two episodes of two days for us Which recently is just lunacy Questions too tough to admit it, but he is sick currently and he is kind of battling through it Yeah, no, I mean, I I've gotten sick twice this summer and uh, it fucking sucks I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy um I'm a fight through it though. And uh, I found like It feels like cough drops have become my best friend, but also they're like Gross, I don't like the taste of cough drops I when I when I had covid a couple years ago. I was relying heavily on the cough drops just so I Like drink water because it was unbearable Yeah, see I got a sore throat, which is pretty much all I got right now And a sore throat is probably the worst thing you can have I would much rather be congested because at least you can get minimal relief after that But the sore throat is just constant pain in the ass So the other thing where you reminisce on when you didn't have right? I keep wanting to wake up and be like, oh, yes I can actually just like drink water and not be in pain Every every time you swallow you just you have like the the sunshine and flowers memories like uh, remember when I could be normal Right. I could just drink water and eat food He never gonna take any of these things for granted again. Then the next day you're better and you forget all about it But exactly exactly But yeah, I mean for christians sake I think we're ready to to wrap this one up here again Thank you to adam for for joining us on this show But I have to give a single prediction for the abs you're gonna take a 24 I'm really hoping it's turn a shove which tells me he's not gonna make it there Correct the fact that we're all In fact that we're all in agreement that turn a shove is the aspect of 24 tells me he goes like 18 He's not even really gonna come close honestly and in terms of positional need I don't believe in that in the nhl like a little bit if you have nothing, but center prospects Okay, maybe it wouldn't hurt to take a defense man Like the caps have taken six forwards in the first round in the last couple years Probably wouldn't hurt to take a defense man here because they haven't taken one since 2018 But in the avalanches situation If you're getting the best player available, whether that's turn a shove I have my reservations about trevor connley because we're talking about character issues, you know Don't post pictures of swastikas. Yep. That's okay, but you know 16 We all do incredibly stupid things when we're 16 not that dumb Obviously we all have regrets when we were 16 I think some people larger than others trevor connley towards top of that list currently but playing in the nhl is a privilege and Yes, you're a dumb 16-year-old, but This is the high end of high end the best of the best the elite the elite if he's available at 24 I just don't the headache the headache is just not worth it to me honestly just my personal opinion I don't know anything more about the kid. He seems like he could be an almost top 10 talent in the league but playing in the league is a privilege at the end of the day and I'm not sure how thrilled I would be about it. I think I could get over it but Still turn a shoves my guy if hagefaul's that'd be great nighard I think would be my dream if he fell to 24 and Best-case Nara the avalanche trade-up and get tichuginla and I will buy his jersey day one I like it. I love that. I would love that more than anything I don't think it's gonna happen. I don't think so either But you can let me dream you don't have to be such a spoil sport all the time I like what he was saying about kibir you too were much like richy last year he was hurt Pro himself could be a much higher end prospect in the draft if that didn't happen where that just screams the kind of value the avalanche like to take in the draft and They're outside of ghoulia. They just don't really have Much coming they've traded a lot of guys over the last couple of years where It's a very depleted prospect core. Just take the guy who you think is the best You know, I'm gonna leave it up to the scouting staff that they're gonna be able to handle that Agree. I think they've done a better job in recent years I know the oleusan pick doesn't look like it's panning out too great, but It's also a draft where there was still all the pandemic stuff going on Everything so that's why why johnston went 24th. I don't think that happens in a normal year. So I still have faith in the scouting staff that they're going to pick the best player available And I think we just have to accept the fact that we're probably not seeing this guy regardless for probably three to four years If he ever plays here at all Because when you're in an avalanche or when you're in a window like the avalanche are Lotties picks get traded the penguins did it pretty much every single year trade the first even if they pick they trade that guy For immediate help So maybe cal richy ends up being exception that they hold on to but I wouldn't be surprised I've never played here and whoever they pick here Never plays here. I think they do it. I think they make the pick. I don't think they're trading 24 But I also wouldn't be surprised. We're talking to you down the line. This guy's just moved Yep, I mean, it's that's very likely the case It's tough to get like attached to prospects when you're in a window window Because it just typically doesn't work that way. Yeah, those two words don't come mind Yeah, especially guys lover cal richy might just be an exception to that rule He might be so good that he might but that might is load bearing Where he's gonna have to have that same season again Because if he shows any sign of aggression in the avalanche need help at the deadline if his value is still high Again wouldn't be shocked if cal richy never plays here either That's just the window that the abs are in it that they can get high end players that help them when now they're gonna do it Yep, gonna do it. Yep It's gonna be interesting to see what the abs do this next week. Yep. Okay because just to finish 100% they're making the pick because they already don't have their first next year They want to be able to get high end prospects into their system as soon as they can. They don't have a second They don't have a third They might trade back. I wouldn't be shocked by that if like chernoshov comes off the board and all the guys they like are off the board at that point, but They're gonna make the Yeah, I think so too But christian's suffering for his sake Ready to wrap this one up here and then let him off the hook for a little bit We're gonna be on standby like we talked about last episode for anything emergency that happens Happy game seven to all who are celebrating and all like me who are not excited for this or i'm excited But i'm not excited for what I think is about to happen. So Enjoy game seven. If anything happens on Monday We'll be back if a big trade happens on monday. We'll be back probably before game seven for the rest of the week emergency episodes if necessary will come out at night and We'll probably be back at some point during the week as well And we'll be back right after the draft and figuring out what we're going to do with that But That's going to do it for us on this edition of the tel dabs at his podcast on the hockey pod cast network You can use promo code teladabs it is on seat geek for 20 dollars off your first order of 50 dollars or more You want to follow us on twitter not x still not calling it x No adam was talking about i'm still not calling it that because it's a dumb name You can follow me at g-youngs and h-shell you can follow christian at christian underscore belay And you can follow the show at teladabs it is but again Thank you also very much for tuning in and we will catch you all next time button until then Let's go abs You You (upbeat music)
