It's Saturday morning, Scrap City Podcast. I'm here with my brother, co-host, Philip Lindsay. It's a week, Phil. It's been one of those. It's a lot going on, consistently. So, yeah, I'm just trying to get to this pod, talk some wrestling with my brother, because it's been a long week. I guess I could just start out with the elephant in the room. Rest in peace to my uncle. A few days ago, I found out that he passed away unexpectedly, I'd say. Last couple of years, he's been going through some stuff, so hearing this wasn't the best news. And you just know how death is, Phil, and how it surrounds it, and the feelings you have, and how do you express it. And family, and all this stuff kind of attached to it. It's like, it's a lot, man. So, rest in peace to my uncle, Marcus, he was that uncle. Street Fighter was his game. Like, he introduced me to Street Fighter. He would play all the time, every single day. His friends would come over. I remember one time, he was playing Saturday Night Slam Master, shout out to Pro Wrestling. He's playing Saturday Night Slam Masters against one of his friends, and his friends were getting in. He was giving it to him. And so my uncle gets really pissed, runs, turns the game off, throws Saturday Night Slam Masters out, puts Street Fighter in. And he's like, this is where, if you want to go, we could go. And so he just starts tearing all of his friends up in that. He's the first person I ever remember going to a video game tournament. He went to a Street Fighter tournament in 1995. And I remember just being like a video game tournament. Like, all these, like, I didn't even know that was possible, so he goes and just has the best time. And he was just kind of that uncle that he was, he was just, it's just some stuff, man. One time he chopped a gopher and a half with a sword. A gopher came out of the ground, and we're all just in the front yard, just like laughing and playing around. He runs into the house and comes out and just like swing, and just chops that gopher and a half. And I just like, that all week, that memory has been playing of us in the yard, him running in, him coming out like a fucking ninja, and chopping a gopher and a half. So recipes to Michael Marcus, sending a love out to the rest of my family. Tough time right now. But yeah, I'm here, man. It's another one. You got to keep it going. It's, you know, when they say like, he wouldn't have wanted you to sit and soak, and that's what I feel like Michael Marcus, like, you're not going to want me of all people to sit and be like, oh, you know what I mean? Yeah. Totally understand. Definitely been that kind of week, the kind of month, that kind of year. Yeah. Come in with, come in with the moods, guys. Sorry. Yeah. July 5th was my grandmother's birthday, talked on here quite often about my grandmother, her passing away. That was yesterday. That was yesterday, her birthday is five days after minds. I told you guys last week, my cousin was sick and got the news that she passed away yesterday. Just a lot. Just been. I agree. Just a lot going on, but we're here. Graphity, as, as, as people that are just trying to exist and push through and like consistently getting stuff like that. It's tough, man, but like Phil said, it's gravity Saturday morning. We are here on that day, Philip Lindsay, I was having a rough one, very rough one, but a light shined from the sky West coast represented so hard, the best rapper in the game. Gave me a gift. Kendrick Lamar dropped the video for not like us. And he set the entire world on fire on the 4th of July on the 4th of July. It was great film because I hadn't, um, I wasn't on the internet all day, you know, just like taking it in. So I didn't even know it was out, honestly. And so I get on and I see every single tweet, somebody's like, this part of the video, this hitting meaning this ball, but I'm just like, what's everybody talking about? So I go on YouTube and I pull this video up and I'm just like watching and amazement. It's like art. You know what I mean? Yeah, he hit us with another, another snippet like he did with the alright video. And he's already driving people crazy. And all I can do is like, please put it out, Kendrick, please put this record out. And it is hard, like every time I hit a snippet, I was like, oh, this is this. Oh, he got dropped something. Yeah, it was pretty much what I expected from the internet when it dropped. People were analyzing, get picking every piece up with the like, oh, is this a shot of Drake? I'm like, I mean, I don't think we need to do the is this a shot of Drake thing. I mean, he threw all the shots that he could. The record is an outright diss track. Is this a shot this video? Are there shots in there Phil? Yeah, there were certain things people were picking out like, oh, I think this is this is a reference to Drake. I'm like, yeah, if you think it's a reference to Drake, it probably is because this is a diss record. Oh, is this shot referencing Drake where he's doing pushups? Yeah, probably this shot too. Yeah. All of it, I think. Yeah. I don't know if you're one of those people now, like, I have a bunch of friends and families that are like, I don't celebrate the 4th of July. I celebrate Juneteenth. And I'm sure you have people in your life that are saying way like, that's not a holiday. I live in Oakland. So, yeah. Yeah. But the thing that I was reminded of this 4th, but it's just kind of funny to me is that, no, you give us a chance to get together and barbecue and just do Black people things and we're going to do it. It's a little better. Like, you know, I can't say that I'm like, oh, yeah, Independence Day, America. But listen, man, there's a new Kendrick video. There's a new Eddie Murphy movie out on Netflix. Come on. And this grill's going, like, cut it out. Like, I'll get together, bro. Black people don't care what the celebrations for. There's a grill. There's food. We're partying. There's music. We're having a good time. It doesn't matter what the celebration represents. So, yeah, that part of it is like, yeah, we're not really celebrating the Independence Day, 1776. We really did it. It's like, no, we're celebrating, like, having a day off in the middle of the week, seeing our friends and blah, blah, blah. That Kendrick video came at the right time because people were having, like, they were at the barbecue, so they're having, like, watch parties and stuff. I'm like, this is so funny. Yeah, it was very funny. I, uh, that before I left and went to barbecue, I had, um, I had the TV on and there was a bunch of Eddie Murphy movies on for some reason yesterday. Like, almost every channel, there was, like, some Eddie Murphy movies. So when I left, I think it was like trading places with on. And then when I got to my family's house, they were watching Beverly Hills Cop 4. I was like, I guess we're just, we're in Eddie Moody. So that went off and like, we actually watched all of trading places because it was, it was on another channel. I was like, uh, there's, there's several things in, uh, trading places. I don't think you can do anymore. Classic movie. Yeah, still very funny, but there's several things. I'm like, yeah, I don't think you can get away with that. They was treating Eddie crazy in that movie. A lot of, a lot of, uh, lot of not even veiled racism, but I was part of the story. Um, but yeah, just even Dan Aykroy doing blackface. You can't do that. I get to, it was part of a business joke, but you can't do that. That was comedy in the 80s, brother. You don't get it. I'm like, no, I get it. You just can't do that. No, and I mean, listen, classic scene, uh, still very funny, but a bunch of stuff in there that I'm like, oh, you can tell this was 80s. So you ended up watching a par four. I didn't get around to watching it yet. Yes. It's good. I think of the fun movie. It's, uh, definitely better than Beverly Hills cop three. Uh, that is widely considered the worst one. That's all I needed to hear. I'm sold. Yeah. So it's fine. I think it's, I think it's fine. Better than three is all I was hoping for. Like, if they could just do better than that last one, we're, we're here. These, uh, we do a reunion or a reboot type thing after 10 years and include the old actors. Like, how did you feel about coming to America to coming to America? Yeah, that one's harder because like Beverly Hills cop is like, it's a franchise and we all love it, but like coming to America is like. The blackest culture there. Like that movie, like I can't even put it towards what that represents. It's so quotable. I firmly believe it's the best Eddie Murphy movie. Um, and many people do. It's hard. It's hard to come after that one with a follow up. And I get what they wanted to do with a lot of the nostalgia in it. But some of it didn't really land for me. I mean, it was fun for what it was, but. Yeah, it was cool. All the guests depend. Like everybody in it. You wanted it to hit, but there was something missing. I don't know what it was. It just didn't really hit the same, but it was cool. Mm hmm. But yeah, I'm definitely check out a Beverly Hills cop for because, you know, we're Eddie Murphy people around here been watching Eddie Murphy my entire life since birth. Like it was Saturday night live and then just Eddie Murphy all the time. That's why you can do it. Eddie Murphy day of movies because he has that many grateful to still have the legend with us. Uh, that clip going around about, um, him going in that room and Jim Balushi and Robin Williams offering him Coke. And he said, nah. Mm hmm. Then when you look around, both of those guys are no longer with us. Right. And Eddie is still here at the ripe old age of 63 years old straight up. I saw another clip of, uh, of him talking about his laugh. Did you see that? Yes. Yes. I was like, yo, I wonder that for a really long time. Cause like the bit growing up is the age of 63 years old straight up. He was like, no, they're not going to be making a mockery of me. I'm going to change my entire laugh. And bro changes like his whole thing was based off of laugh. And he's like, nah, I'm going to change that. And like, we don't talk about that anymore. Yeah. Uh, yeah. I just love the idea that he's like, no, you're not going to out comedy me. You're not going to go around doing this goofy impression that you think it's me doing doing my trademark laugh. Like, no, no, I feel like he was like, I can't do an impression of you. You can't do an impression of me. Like, if I can't do an impression of every single person in the world, y'all not are going to do it to me. No, no, I'm going to immediately take your big joker away from you. You're not going to be able to do this impression. Those other things I saw yesterday in black culture, people were arguing about what is the big joker. And I was like, it's the actual one with the big joker on the front. That's the color picture. Yeah. The one with the smaller joker and the text on it and like guaranteed. That's the little joker. And people were like, no, if it says guaranteed on it. That's the big joker. I was like, no, I have never seen your joker. It's the, no, it's the, it's the way with the big face on the front. Yeah. I thought that was pretty normal. Yeah. I thought that that was standard as well. But I learned yesterday that it wasn't. I was like, no, it's, it's the one with the big face on the front. That is one thing that I do love about social media. A lot of times you and I come on here and we talk about how awful it is, but like discovering things like the Uno draw for reverse car thing is gotten black people in shambles. When Uno came out and was like, this is the officials and they were like, no, it's not. How are you going to tell the official people know it's not? Yeah, you still have people like, no, this is the rule. Like, no, just because you made up your own house rules doesn't mean that that's the rules for the game. Here are the official rules. No, that's not how we play. Well, why did you ask me? Well, if I could be wrong and be like, be absolutely wrong and acting the official facts with the paper on print. We asking you, and then you're telling them, look, look, you're wrong and it's like, no, no, no, I'm not. Yes, you are. It's cool. Yes, you are. Why do we have this argument for three hours, then? I got the official Uno people to say that. That's hilarious. So, do you get it while we're on this game? Do you play space? Yes, every now and then. You do. Yeah. Interesting. I don't listen, mate. You got it. I feel like that's a part of coaching. You got it. It is. I know. That's why I'm like, damn, man. You got another place. Are you saying you don't have a place? I don't know how to play. Yeah, I can't believe I'm admitting this on camera. Yeah. Yeah, man. I know. I know. You know, they be waiting to snatch some white black heart, man. I know. I know. Tommy knows I'm all in, but spades just like they've been waiting to get us about to cook out. They've been waiting to snatch out and revoke our passes, man. If that's the reason they're going to stop me at the door. No. I knew it was something about those guys over there, man. You can not come up in this cookout. No spades. I knew it was something about those guys. The internet's just blowing up right now. Red can't play space. All of its credibility. Somebody in some group chat right now. They like that one dude is champion and a homeboy can't play space. I knew it. I knew what it was. Do me dirty out here, man. Come on, man. I can still learn this time. No, man. I want to be on the old nigga table, like eventually paying space. I just saw a video for old nigga playing space and it killed me. They go so hard, man. No, I know. I do not play space. I do enjoy playing space, but I do scan the room and see who's playing sometimes. You got another game. Oh, OK, if those if it's if it's that couple that takes space too seriously and I know it's going to turn into a fight with that couple, I'm not playing with them. No, there's not one episode of South side where they have the space tournament and they fight. So she ends up going with her dad, but her dad is now too. Yeah, man. South side, man. What a great depiction of the city, man. What a great not just a great depiction of the city. What a great depiction of what it's like to be black in the city. That's what makes the show. The show's great. Like if I just watched it in the vacuum, not knowing anything, I'd like this is a great show, but to know, like, I have a friend that's Chicago as hell and for him to be like, this is a great representation. Makes it even better, you know? Yeah, I have finally started to bear, guys. Leave me alone. You know what I finally started, Phillip Lindsay? Winning time. Oh, great fucking show, man. Great show. Yeah, I started to bear so people can stop asking me, you're from Chicago. Have you not watched the bear? Oh, that's based out of Chicago. I haven't seen it. Sorry, you guys. Yeah, I finally started watching it. A friend of the show tried to give me to watch it in New York. That sounds about right. And when I watched it, I immediately recognized what he likes about it. The main character is like a very anxious Italian guy. I was like, do I just look familiar? I didn't know. I haven't seen it and I know why he likes it just based off what you're saying. Like, you seeing the what the how it is, like kind of the artistic thing behind it and the main character. I'm like, Oh, yeah, of course, I immediately realized why he liked it. But it is very Chicago as well, like, like Italian beef. There's nothing more Chicago than Italian beef that is a part of, you know, food culture in this city. There was a sign that dynamite was a dynamite. Yeah, I think it was dynamite. Portillo's is mid. All right, listen to it. That was in Chicago. Went to Portillo, Portillo's after the show. Former former co-host of this show. Mutual friend of the show. Smiley and a few other people were at Portillo's after this show. So I saw your tweet to what was. What was that about? Every time he gets a chance to do this, it shouldn't be two belts thing. You guys are still having the two belts to bait? Oh, my God. I'm just like, bro, it's, it's fine. I was proven right because they had to establish another belt. And he's just like, you weren't right, though. And I was like, they had to establish another belt because it didn't work. It was true. It showed that it did not work. He was like, yeah, but it only worked didn't work because Roman didn't come to work. And I was like, yeah, but it doesn't matter why it didn't work. And it's like, I cannot believe you guys are still having. We went into that and we went into also the other usual debate of his that the money in the bank concept is bad and it doesn't work. And I was just like, he hates it. Yeah, there was there was a surprising one that he said wasn't a good cash in. And I was just like. But that was like the highlight of this guy's career. Like this is the thing that made him him. I'm guessing Dalsickler. Yes. Yeah. And he was like, that wasn't a great cash. And I was like, that's one of the best caches of all time. It's the highlight of his career. I, I have been going to WrestleMania for a few years and I went to a few. Raw's after manias and that one, I did it. I was like, I'm just going to go home. I don't think anything crazy is going to happen. And that moment happened and I regret that almost all the time. Like, that's one of the best wrestling moments in history. What do you mean? Yeah, I was just, I was so thrown. I was like, dude, I get if you just don't like the concept at this point, because there have been a lot of bad money. It's not the greatest and concept. Like the percentages. The percentage is what it is, but like, bro, like to be like, well, you know, what did they really do for Dals? I'm like, dude, like I said, highlight of his career. Like, that's pretty much, that's it. That's the peak of his career is that money in the bank cash in. And he was like, yeah, but it's Dalsickler. I'm like, dude, what are you talking about? I see both sides, but now I think that to use that as an example is crazy, because that that was actually a good one. And actually, I don't know if it did anything. I mean, I guess that's the debate. Did it do something for him? Yeah, because he's still kind of riding that wave, but like, he just like didn't add on to his wrestling career and make him like the Mount Rushmore. That's a different story. No, I don't think I don't think it made him one of the greatest of all time or anything like that. But when we talk about money in the bank, when they make like highlight reels of money in the bank, his cash in is always one of them because he's the top greatest cash in of all time. Definitely. Like, I'd probably say top three, honestly, that one like the crowd is insane. It's Rollins. It's Ziggler. Probably Edge, of course, the original one. Um, probably the second Sam Punk one. The Damien one from this year. I mean, as far as like, he did it and he benefited off of it. You know what I mean? Yeah, you got to give Miz his credit for his cash into. Miz, this is, I hate the Miz, but yeah, put his up there. Yeah, I just was like, but yeah, it was, it was very interesting. You guys had a crowd too. It was very interesting. Like, just everything about it. The fact that we were having this conversation and people were like, like almost huddled around us, walking just after the conversation. And I was just like, and so it was like, and like, like when I explained all the people that were there, it makes it even funnier because it was like, it's like Brock Lesnar guy was there. Uh, Exenio was standing there. I'm already dead. Brock Lesnar guy was there. Like I said, Smiley was there. For some reason, a wrestler was there. I don't know if she wants me throwing the she was there, but it was like, it was a lot. I was like, what? That is an interesting cast of characters. No, no, no, no, no, no, Josh Jones. I liked the priest cash in a certain other guy that used to be on this podcast didn't think it was good. No, I thought that was great. I was there. I thought it was a great cash. Yeah. No, we're talking about his combatant for the night. Yeah. Yeah. So just in case you guys wonder, him no longer being on this show was at a bit and we just didn't agree on certain things for this show. No, no, there's certain things that he says I'm just like, what are you talking about? The group chat is still grabs a lot of the times, you guys. Nothing has changed. We just aren't on the air anymore, but the three of us together. It's great. I love it. That sounds amazing. So you had a good time at Chicago Dynamite. Yeah, it was great. It was a great show. Good crowd. Two really good back-to-back shows, man. Two fire ice braid matches within a week. That's sick. Yeah, it was a fun time at Dynamite. We got some returns. Got some. Got a lot. Chicago crowd was great, even though, you know, sometimes Chicago crowd tries. Yeah, that's what I wanted to get into. They try to be too smarky, and it's like, dude, like, just boo the things you're supposed to boo. That's it, man. I get it. They want to be like the Bizarro, like, Canada-type, like, we're smart. We know things. We can do this to him. And it's like, in these moments, just maybe just live in the moment right now, man. You don't have to try to do the opposite of what's going on. There was like, I want Max to get heat and he's not going to if you guys are just in love with everything that he's doing. Yeah, the Max turn, it was funny because certain people were doing the trying to start the, he's our scumbag chant, and I was like, let's see, that works in Long Island, because that's where he's from. Right. The whole point of the punk storyline and you separating these two worlds and punk creating heat in Long Island and certain things happening in Chicago is because he's not our scumbag. Yes, he's their scumbag. Like, yeah. But people are mixed up because he's became a babyface and it kind of expanded throughout the country of, like, I'm scumbag everywhere. But no, it's Chicago of all places has to be the opposite of that because that was where that's what the whole thing was based on. That was the whole point. I could, I was very confused why people were trying to start chants during that when he was very much like doing all this stuff to get heat. I was like, guys, what are you doing? But, you know, Chicago crowd understood the assignment for the most of the night. It was just in that moment. I was just like, what are you doing? I mean, I guess we can get in to Forbidden Door and get into this dynamite. Forbidden Door was fun. It was a great show. I was in the building. I went back and watched most of the Zero Hour because I was in and out of the room for us. I didn't see all of it. But what a great pre-show. One of the best Zero Hours they've ever done, I think. That Lucha Six man, I've watched it probably three times and like, yo, like that shit. Again, like I said, when they announced it and the Forbidden Door concept, that's what I'm talking about right there. Those six guys going crazy doing one of the, when you have pre-show matches, this is what it's supposed to be like. This is how you get the crowd ready for the show with stuff like that. But yeah, I thought the whole thing was sick. Yeah, I think getting the tag match with Willow and Tam versus Kristat Linder and Momo, that was a fun match. Fun to see Tam in that environment. They got the win, of course. Tam picked up the win over Momo. Like you said, the three hours match was super heat. Mr. Cole coming out with the mask that was like a mix of his mask and the pen too and rape Phoenix and like just the L.I.J. guys going back and forth with them. Awesome. The start of the match just teetun and rape Phoenix changed just to kick it off was crazy. Yes. And the match just kept getting better and better. I was sitting there with re-washing and I was like, man, this might have, might have needed to be on the main card. I'm soon. Yeah. Yeah. As they're going crazy, I'm like, Oh, I see this because when they announced to people, like, they should be on the main card and I was like, yeah, but you kind of want to get a warm up match to the crowd. Like not in a bad way, warm up match, but just a, you know, a match to get the crowd ready. And then this match is going in the high gear and I'm like, Oh, no, this might have been on the main card. This is absolutely insane. The stuff that Mr. Co is like one of the most interesting wrestling stories of all time. You know what I mean of him being a super huge star in a Mexico, then going to WWE and just having the weirdest run of all time. And then coming back to Mexico and becoming an even bigger star and like, he's just so over and it like really translates to wherever he goes because like instantly in a w's like, damn, that fool, he feels like a bigger star than all the other luchadors. And I thought in this match specifically, like, he felt like a huge star. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I just love like how much they put over a CMLL guy being in that ring with Penta and Phoenix. And it lived up tonight. I thought it was an excellent match. We got a lot of good storytelling out of both of the women's matches. I think that they helped a lot. The Owens heart match between Saraya and Mariah was solid. Tony coming out in her curlers, like she was still getting ready for a match and she had to start them track jacket and stuff on. I thought that was a nice touch. All the storytelling they did from the other Saraya match that people were mad at, like, how dare you guys book this match for Mariah loses to Saraya. Saraya almost did the same finish, but this time Mariah learned, got out of it, picked up the win. And Tony again, Tony being Tony was Tony Saraya the whole time, throwing up the big L and tonic her and running away afterwards was really, really funny. Saraya is so funny because like, she, her big matches are, I don't want to say all the same, but she kind of, there's kind of like the same formula of her like she'll, they work in the ring for a little bit. Then they always go to the outside. They work the outside every single time she has a big match. And so she goes out there. She interacts with the crowd, blah, blah, blah. And then the baby face takes over. And this was that kind of match. But like, the thing that I love about Mariah the most and why she's getting so over it, she kind of forces everyone into like her style of match. Yeah. Yeah. I thought Mariah was great in this match and in the ring. She's been great in every, yeah, I was going to say everything she's done recently. She's been killing it. Yeah. We also got the tag match as well. We got the 14 tag match. That was pretty good as well. Like I said, really good pre-show. I thought this was the best use of Zero Hour, the best attempt to get people to buy this pay-per-view if they hadn't already bought it. And I thought we got a good show. We're still in the discourse mode. Oh, I left out. We randomly got a Kyle Fletcher match at the beginning of the show. It was supposed to be 14 matches that I got there and heard, "Oh, we got Kyle Fletcher match." I was like, "So there were 15 matches. All right, cool." So, Prentico and Kyle Fletcher are here sending them out. All right. Yeah. Every year we've got to deal with the same discourse of, "Is Forbidden Door still a worthy concept? Does this deal feel special?" Let me tell you, as a New Japan fan, yes. And that might just be my bias as a New Japan fan. The company is not in the greatest position, but no, I still was excited for this. When I walked in and we had the dual announcers, I still popped for all of these things because I'm a New Japan guy. I think it's just getting to the show. Even though we felt like this year was the best build that they've had, there's still a lot of disconnect for some reason. And it's just like, maybe it's because the different schedules, you're trying to get the New Japan with CMLL, starting to get all these different people together at a certain time and it just doesn't work out. But then the show happens and all these, everybody interacts in one building and you're like, "Oh, this is amazing. This is awesome." Like you said, they have dueling ring announcers. They have different people have their music that they usually come out to, restless from all over the world. When you get to the actual show, you understand the concept so much more. Yeah, we opened the show with Long Island native, Maxwell, Jacob, Freeman, taking on Etchissero. I did not realize how unpopular this match was online. And so I was reading things after this show in the next few days. How was it in the building? I thought it was fine. I mean, the crowd was, of course, hyped for Max. I don't know if it was the best match to go with for an opener because it was fine, but it didn't really, like there were at least two matches on the zero hour that were better. And so starting so hot with all of those matches from zero hour and then opening with this match and people were like hyped for Max. It's his hometown. And then it was kind of slow and plotting. I mean, I know you're supposed to expect that out of like a technical wrestling match with Etchissero, but it just, I don't know, it wasn't bad. I enjoyed it, but it just, I don't know, it might have been the wrong match to open the show with. It should have been that Lucia six man we just talked about because that was the match right before it. And like you said, the crowd was hype, which means if you would have put that as the first match, it would have started out crazy. Yeah, this, this match was kind of expected. It's worked how I expected them to work the match. It's like, Etchissero is going to do his thing. Max is going to try to, I don't want to say match that, but he's going to try to get into that element, but also do the max thing. It's going to, it's going to be interesting to see how everyone reacts to it. And they kind of reacted to it how I expected because I don't want to say it was a styles clash because like Max and they can both work with anyone, but it just was it with the point that they tried to get over. I don't think they really got it over. Yeah, the story they were trying to sell coming into the match. I don't think that it really came across well. Right. But I, I enjoyed the match as fan of those two guys. Yeah, probably not the best match to open the show with. And I think the concept of Forbidden Door sometimes with this company versus this company, you'll get matches like this. Like, Hey, what if we just do this type of one and this but like, Oh, okay, I see what happened. Like, I don't know if we would do it again, but like, I like the attempt. Yeah, but it was fine. Then we got the trios match, the elite taking on the civil race, Tanahase, and the claimed straight out the door, coming down with the entrances. And just seeing the vast difference between the Bucks coming out and Okada coming out. Again, at one point on Twitter, there was a conversation about this guy's aura. And this is the second time I've been in the building to see this guy come out and the crowd loses mine for this guy. This guy is a massive star. I don't know why anybody would doubt that at this point. Yeah, because there's still that discourse coming out of it, I guess, of like, maybe not that he's not a big star, but kind of like, what's going on? Why is he him and the Bucks? It's like, you guys need to get more serious maybe because like, you got Okada still as Okada, the fans, he still is over as he can be. He should have been in a big one-on-one match, I think maybe, right? Yeah, I would have rather to see him in a one-on-one match. And that became very clear to me throughout this match. The entrances were fun. The Tanahashi and the clan came out, Max did one of his raps, and Tanahashi was having the time of his life. Ergotar, next to him, you would have thought like this, he was just having a blast. I thought that was hilarious. Tanahashi as Max is a quiet Ergotar hype man, hilarious. Yeah, but the match was fine. There was a bit in this match where I was just like, this is why I was concerned about certain things coming out of A airing the footage and certain things that you played into with Jack and the Elite. Because this is again where you did certain things for Heat, and we got the Sam Punk chant, and I was just sitting there like, I just don't need this. I don't care, we don't need this on your show, and I just think it takes attention off their characters for his company. It's like, why are we still? That keeps happening to Jack too, like every time he has some kind of video package or they show him, like he's getting Sam Punk chant, and I'm like, I don't know if that was the goal of doing that, because that's not what I would have done. It just didn't work, and it kind of makes me feel like some of this stuff with the Elite as heals, it's kind of jumped the shark a little bit. Some of it just doesn't work for me. It doesn't get the intended reaction. And it's not just you because coming out of that match, a lot of people are like, what are the Young Bucks doing? What's going on? Like, why is it? It doesn't seem like they're really serious, and that's their characters, they're playing into that when the matches happen, of course they're into it, but it's like, you guys should be doing more. The Young Bucks, the World Tag Team Champions, when people talk about the problems or whatever that they have with AEW, we should be getting big main event Young Bucks Tag matches. Again, just like Okada, you have these people in their primes, essentially, or maybe bigger, and we're not utilizing them as good as we should. Yeah, yeah, I think that they started well with this Elite Authority figure thing, but I think it's lost quite a bit of steam since Andrew here in Arena. I think it's because you've had more than one build going at the same time, you've had to build to this pay-per-view, and you're still simultaneously building to a blood and guts match this month, and it's just lost a lot of focus. And that's not to say that I don't like this iteration of the Elite, because I do like these four guys together a lot, but I just think some of it is just not really hidden. I like them together. I love them as a group. I just think the execution and kind of what they're doing is, they need to be doing more. And like you said, that could play a part as we're building a lot. There's a lot of moving pieces involved in this. You know, there's not a like a focus of like, this is what we're doing. It feels like we're doing this over here. We're doing this over here. We're trying to tell a lot of stories and like, that's a good thing, but we need to get it like together. We need to get it cohesive. Yeah, but this match was fine. I think this has also been hurt by FDR having injuries. And so you can't really have FDR to play off of. And this is, again, why I'm like, when you play in a certain thing, keep forgetting about that. Like they would have been in the place of the acclaimed. Yeah. When you play into certain things for heat, there has to be a payoff. And when you don't have specific people there to get the payoff for. It kind of doesn't work. And so, you know, I'm going to see how they're going to pivot with the blood and guts match because there's clearly some kind of pivot going. But like right now, it's like not hidden for me. And then they're not defending the titles either. It's like, can we get a tag match? Like, I would have liked to see them in a tag match on this show and Okada and just a singles match as opposed to the trio's match. There's got to be something going on because every year we say this about the young bucks. Why don't you guys just do a traditional two on two tag match against some other amazing tag team from another company. And every time they're involved in like a four way or eight, like they're always involved in something not just two on two. And I don't know what it is, but I want it. So like, give it up. But I think if they, if they could use blood and guts as a payoff maybe or a blow off to this whole thing, they could on the back end of that make some good things happen. But it's just like this slow period. We're trying to sell blood and guts, but in between that we're selling for but indoor kind of muddy. It was just a little muddle. I think that all of this was better going into the last pay per view because you had the anarchy and arena match and you had things to pay off. And now it just kind of feels like, oh, we're still doing this, but it kind of feels a little directionless. Yeah. But this match was fine. The highlight of the match was Kazuchko Kata, Okata at one point, Tawning Max and doing the rap hands and all of this was all that was very funny. Again, I think those guys together are entertaining. Even the vignette that they aired before the match was very funny of them talking about how they basically opened the door and they made history. And it's the Bucks next to Kenny Omega and they're blurring Kenny's face out the entire thing. All of that was funny. Also, even like the way that they talked about the acclaim in that clip and it almost felt like one of those campaign ads that are on everybody's TV now. Like these guys that are quote unquote rappers. All of that stuff was funny, but it didn't translate as well to the match I felt. But it was fine. It was fine. The first two matches on the main card were they were funny. Okay. The first half of the show was a little bit slower than I would have liked, but I thought there was some good stuff in this. I mean, that right there, we're talking all this about this angle and stuff and they're doing these Kenny Omega teasers. I'm like, all this could lead to a cotton, Kenny Omega and then we'll kind of be eating our words and who will care. I don't care what happened with that. But I mean, get get to that. Like I don't really need to get to that. I don't really need like to try and get the heat off or crawl out and stuff because it just kind of feels like it's too late for that. Like if you were going to do that, you should have done that before. And now it's like, I don't really care anymore. That guy somewhere else. Like, move on. Yeah, I think we shouldn't move on. But yeah, the match, I felt like it picked up when we got Brian versus Shingle. Of course, that was one of the hardest matches on this show. Lived up to all expectations. Brian is still Brian still hyped the crowd up several times. I thought the finish was really, really good. Strong match. Brian Danielson, he did it in the match, Phil. He did our least favorite thing. He got the doctor to come in and check on him and like, I'm doing this to it. Why are you? Why? Brian, why? We don't. We don't like this. But yeah, I think the thing that I noticed in the match, Phil, is like, we see Brian wrestle often, like he wrestles on collision pretty often. And he don't be throwing strikes 100% all the time. But then he gets into the ring with Shingle and he throws strikes 100 and you're like, oh, yeah. I remember now. Some of those slaps in there, some of those forearms in there, some of those kicks in there. I'm like, Oh, Brian, don't be really doing what he be doing in here on a normal basis because wrestlers would be mad at him. The way that he turns into a different wrestler when he gets into a big Japanese wrestling match, essentially, is a sight to be seen. Shingle is. I've noticed something about Japanese. The big Japanese wrestlers, some of them, when they come over to the other side, we'll talk about it very soon here in one of these matches. Some of them, when they come over to America, it's like, I'm just having a nice little vacation. I'm going to come over here. I know you guys like this, but like my home promotion is new Japan. I don't feel like she goes like that. Maybe it's because he's had the, the US connection before with Dragon Gate USA. He just like, there's a different representation here in America. When he comes over here, he's like, I'm going to go over there and have fun. Like, I'm Russell Bryan Dalesen, you're going to get the Shingle that you know. And this match was exactly that when they announced this match, it was like, that match is going to be fire. And I think it just was exactly what that was. Yeah. Yeah. Great match. Got the, the women's championship match after that. Tony Storm took on Mina Shirakawa. Tony came out with a fire entrance dressed as the Statue of Liberty to play off all of her stuff over the weekend. I thought that promo, she cut on collision, standing in the glass. And I thought that was really, really dope. Tony Storm, currently one of the best women's wrestlers in the world, she has to have the entire package, character, promo, and the matches are hidden. Go figure, she's out of here. And I thought Mina got a lot out of this storyline. This is definitely the most popular Mina has been in the US. She got a lot in this match. She got a lot of offense in. She had Tony on the ropes at one point, I felt. But I thought that this was strong. This was a strong back and forth. I thought, honestly, the women smoked it on this pay per view. This was the first time I've seen an AW pay per view and I felt like the women kind of stole the show. Yeah, I think as far as like what this concept represents and if in the end you want to get some wrestlers that aren't an AW over with the American crowd, the women's wrestlers, Stephanie and Mina I think might have benefited the most out of everyone. Because like coming out of that pay per view, everyone was talking about them too. And we knew that it's crazy because Mina had only been around for three or four weeks, we interviewed her like she just made such a huge impact on this. And then to do that match with Tony get offense in, feel like a real threat even though we know what time it is. Like that's a real feat. Yeah, I mean, they have been building this match since April. Yeah. Right, because Tony showed up at the start of the show during WrestleMania weekend and they started to build there. But yeah, I thought this was strong. I thought saxabra Orange Cassidy was also very good. Go figure. Two very good wrestlers had a good match. Zach saber during this match doing all of his I'm going to tie you up and I'm going to, I'm going to wrap you up like a presso and Orange Cassidy struggling to get out of it orange, targeting his knee several times with that a dragon screw that he did. There was one of them he did where Zach didn't fall down and it looked like I was like that looked very scary. I hope he's okay. But I probably just sold it well and I just felt for the sale, but he's good. It looked, it looked really nasty because he's like did not fall. He just stood up and took it like turned up. He's good. He's good. He's good. Orange Cassidy, I'm on to you, brother. I think you were capping here a little bit if you're watching this in this. I know where you came up Orange Cassidy. I know you came up in Chikara and they were training all this time up like a pretzel grapple stuff. So you need to reverse it on them. You need to go back to the history of where you've been and get back to it. But no, I thought this was another one of those when they announced it in this crossover. And this is exactly kind of stuff we wanted like Orange Cassidy's Orange Cassidy, but Zach Sabre Junior just trying to turn him. He's grabbing every limb that's available. He's just like really getting Orange Cassidy out of his element. And that's what that's what played into Zach Sabre winning is like, Oh, he's just out Zach Sabre him. Yeah, Orange Cassidy is one of the MVPs of this paper view. I feel like every year he has a fire match. Tony's another one. Tony has been on every forbidden door card. And I thought the way they fire. I thought the way they played into that early in the show with Mariah wearing Tony's gear from Forbidden Door. I believe the first Forbidden Door. She wore that gear. But even her coming out with the starting jumpsuit and everything and then having a fire match this time is champion like those two have really been like constants at this paper view. Yeah. Yeah. Orange. He just represents Forbidden Door like crazy every time like people still talk about that Osprey match. And I think he did it again. It's insane. It's crazy. Like Tony's also another one of like we wanted to see that crossover. As soon as she came over to aid that was like, well, the coolest thing is she's going to get to interact with all these startup people again. And every interaction she's had has been amazing. Yeah. Yeah. She's also really, really funny in this grum. And she comes in and didn't really answer any questions. She just kept a bit going. She brought Mina in to do her dance and it was like Mina and Mariah were doing it perfectly and she was next to them like confused like trying to do it with them. Very, very funny. I'm sure some people that want the serious questions and stuff out of the scrums were very mad at this like how dare they like. There's there is somebody on the other side. That's not funny to like I came in here to get some questions. I need content and tell me something. I don't care about that. I'm not answering any of your questions. I can't. She came in there to basically read the words from a beautiful. And just jumped into like all the other things she kept a bit going. I thought it was really cool. I love it. Yeah. No, her having every press conference kind of being like, this is about me. I don't care about your questions. This thing and get out of here. I think it's amazing. Yeah, but coming into this paper view, I think I and a lot of people expect to exact to get a big win here. Yeah, I think Zach has to be one of those guys that are earmarked to win the G one. He's personally my pick to win the G one and I want him to win the belt at Russell Kingdom. I think he's overdue. He's a former New Japan Cup winner. He's had big matches with everybody you can name at this point. Okada, Nido, Brian. And he just still hasn't won that big one yet. So I think it's I think it's time put that thought on him. It's interesting because it feels like New Japan has been trying to get a star that can cross over to America and like you guys. I think you got one. His name is Zach Sabre Jr. Dude. Let him win this tournament. Let him get that huge win at Russell Kingdom and let him carry that championship around the world doing exact Sabre shit. That's just going to build prestige like crazy. The way that he is just constantly over in America. Every time he comes over here, people are so excited about it. It's like, yo, New Japan's looking for new stars. They need somebody to take them into the future. Like Zach Sabre Jr. It needs at least needs a chance, you know. Yeah, I mean, he's got big wins. It's just I don't know. I know he's put on on more weight, but I don't know if it's a does he fit in that heavyweight scene. And that might be part of it. But again, I think I think it's time. I think you got to put that button on them, especially like there's a void of big stars. I know you can build up Shingo and Suji showed us like right on the cusp. You got guys, but like I feel like in the vacuum, this is the perfect time to give him the win. Right. They have some guys that in two years are going to definitely be the head leaders of this, but like right now we need to start going for it. Zach Sabre Jr. He already has the complete package. Like you said, he's put on what he's tried to become that new Japan heavyweight that they know. So he's doing the work. It's just time for him to get the payoff. Yeah. Very funny. After the show, I was sitting with somebody and Zach Sabre walks in and I'm sitting there like, yo, this is Zach Sabre Jr. Big fan and like he walks up to mutual friend Emilio and he's talking him about music and all these other things. And I'm just like sitting behind him with like the big stars in my life like this is Zach Sabre Jr. And like just like I got some new vinyl. Just not caring about it. The old time he's talking to Emilio about about hip hop and like how he discovered some of his music overseas and like Tim Westwood and all these other things. And like, hey, I'm like, like, yo, this is Zach Sabre Jr. But I'm also like my friend, like one of the most interested guys in the world. That's crazy. Like where he's been and where, you know what I mean? And like, Zach Sabre Jr. just comes out and marks out for him. And you're just like in the back like Zach Sabre Jr. and Zach Sabre was like, no, Emilio. That is really funny. Shout out to Emilio. We referenced him a few times here, man. What a guy. Yeah, what a guy. I spent quite a bit of time in Staten Island while I was in New York with my friend. Very funny guy. Staten Island with Emilio sounds like a movie. I promise I was not saying all this stuff to stall to before getting into this trio's match with the learning tree. The learning tree and Jeff Cobb taking on Samoa Joe hook and Katsey or Shabbata. I continue to be a big fan of this trio hook in Samoa Joe, there are a lot of fun. There are a lot of fun this week on Dynamite as well. And I'm kind of like, man, get to the get to the match with a bullet club gold at this point, like these guys are a lot of fun. This learning tree stuff man, it continues to not be for me. This match was fine. It was what it was, but it was kind of the same thing I was saying with the MJF match where I felt like there were other matches that were better that probably could have been on the main card instead of this one. So it's not that this match really, there was nothing offensive about it. It wasn't bad, but it was just kind of like, man, you had this fire lucha match on zero hour that could have been in this spot that was just gangbusters and you went with this that could have easily been like a dynamite match. Listen, first of all, I'd just like to say, God, I like the learning tree. I'm a big fan of the learning tree. I just want to say that the interactions with Samoa Joe and Jeff Cobb were awesome. Like I want them. They should have just did a one on one match. Jeff Cobb tweeted yesterday, also trying to sell it and be like, he said I've been in the 12 years, and Samoa Joe has been ducking me for that whole time. Oh, no, we're doing that. I think we're going to get to it. So like, just get to that one on one match because that's really what we kind of wanted out of it. I like the learning tree and I'm really excited about Wednesday Samoa Joe taking on Chris Jericho and a stampede street fight. We are getting that match coming up. But I did kind of want to Joe, Jeff Cobb television title match instead. It would have made so much sense because, you know, Joe has been the king of television and he's all there. He's held both of those kind of titles for a w. And so I thought that that's what we were building to and then we got this tree. It would have made so much sense just because like that title has a time limit on it. These two guys would have just went at it for less than 15 minutes like, I just don't understand. But I mean, you're not going to, you know, they're not going to put Chris Jericho on the pre show, though. No, they're not going to do that. Imagine, hey, Chris, we're going to put you on the pre show. Yeah. All right. Yeah. Yeah, but, but yeah, this Lucha match should have replaced that. Sorry. Yeah, but we got, we got a much better match in Mercedes Manet taking on Stephanie back here. This was my first time seeing Mercedes wrestle for a w in person. And when people talk about like her star power and everything, it's the same thing I've been saying with a cottage seeing it in person and seeing how people respond to her in person. It's different. It's just just out of this world. There was a, there was a girl. There were a few sections down from us close to the ramp. And the second Mercedes came out. She was just screaming to the top of her lungs like screeching. Like you can hear her all the way down by our section. And she continued to do that for the entire match. Like, I know that it turned into booze later, but the initial reaction to her when she came out was crazy. Like, so it's a, I noticed it at the collision before double or nothing. She wasn't on the show, but Willow was there. I was trying to show support for Willow. And there were Mercedes fans in there that were like staring daggers through me and like the energy that they bring the energy that they bring to a wrestling show. People don't understand, man. The Mercedes crew dog, they like, they come to represent for this lady. And I think it's funny because in the match, like, I think that it was on purpose that she got them to turn all the way on her to get the big pop for like, you know, because they played into like, if you start booing Mercedes, then you're going to really cheer this person that's going to come out here. Regardless, I thought the match was awesome. Stephanie, like I said, coming off the backs of this, everybody was like Stephanie occurs like the greatest of all time sign her she's great. She's great. She just came in looking so confident. She looked like this is just a regular Tuesday. I don't care about any pressure. Like, y'all are not going to get me off my game. I'm the baddest motherfucker in here. Man or woman. Her gimmick was on point. Her gear was great. She looked like I belong here. I could be in the main event and I would still be as great as this. That springboard cross body. She hit was just so clean. Her offense the whole time was just. You guys, if you've never seen me before after this match, you're going to think I'm the best like she just was on fire for this like Mercedes bumping and selling every time feel. I see it again. I'm like, this is why Mercedes is Mercedes like she's great on promo. She's great with the characters gear. She always the presentation is amazing. But when she just takes a bump and she sells and the rag doll effects that she has. It's like there's not a lot of people that do it like Mercedes. No, and it seemed like there was a concerted effort to make Stephanie look like a big deal here. Stephanie walked in with three belts and look like a massive star. I think her offense looked tremendous. All of her transitions into her submissions were incredibly smooth. That dragon screw. She hit on Mercedes in the corner. Oh my God. Coming out of that pen attempt and going into the submission move. She did a few of those that just clean. But yeah, at some point in this match, the New York crowd, which the New York crowd was great. At several points in the show, somebody would just like go, you're, I did the rest of the crowd would go, you're, it was fantastic. It happened several times. I love New York, man. Y'all are so funny. Yeah, I was sitting next to Krusty at one point. And man, Krusty couldn't have loved it even more anymore. It was, I imagine what it must be like sitting next to me at a Chicago show. And like, she just loved it. Very, very funny. But the New York crowd at some point was like, wait a minute. You were at the Boston, you're at the Boston Championship where you're a beer show think fan, boom. It's like somebody was much more Instagram, like one person in the crowd went through Instagram and they were like, she was in the front row when they won the championship. She's from Boston. We don't like these people at all. Everybody start booing. Yeah, boo. Very loud boos at one point. Like it was like, it gradually got louder and louder. And the great thing about Mercedes is like, soon as they started booing, I know people were like, Oh, these wrestlers in their ego. It was like, she got up and she saw those boos and had like the biggest smile on her face. She was like, Oh, we're here now. That's the energy. I'm gonna get y'all something to boo about. And man, it just like the more she played into it, the more that crowd booed. What a great atmosphere. I know some people are going to say the crowd tried to take over the match. But no Mercedes is a professional and she played it very well. I thought it was a good atmosphere for Stephanie as well because it made her look even better. But Mercedes in that atmosphere. What a what a blast to watch that. That's where I'm conflicted at feel because like we stated when she came out. Like, it's crazy like people love her. Her crew is out for her. They're so excited. But when she turns that heel shit on, man. I love that. I want her to be healed so bad because when she gets into that like, Oh, I got y'all. Oh, y'all think I'm doing some hell shit. Watch this. Oh my God. I love it. Yeah, very, very funny. I thoroughly enjoyed this match. It had a few hiccups in it, but I thought that it was it was a very, very good match. I think Mercedes playing into those booze made it even better. I'm just so ready for it to turn heel. She just, she just better the heel. She just is her confidence level and everything else. That's what I'm saying. The confidence that she gets in the way that she starts working of like, I'm the, I already thought I was the best. But now I'm going to show the crowd that I'm better than they think I am and I'm going to prove them wrong. Trying to boo me. Who are you to boo me? It's like, who are you to boo me? Mercedes is way different. Yeah. And it's New York. Of course, she's got a history of being a heel in Brooklyn. The Vise was there. I love it. I don't even make that connection. I love it here. The Vise was there, man. Loved it, man. Very fun match. Of course Mercedes picked up the win and got her to belt celebration off. But before she could live the ring, we got the return of Brit Baker, DMD. I thought that this was a great return. She got a very, very good reaction from the New York crowd. And then she proceeded to snare at the top of the ramp. Got the pyro and I was, I was wondering if I was wondering at one point, because she starts walking down the ramp and then she stopped. And then she headed back up the ramp and I was like, well, wait, are you going to get in there? I thought she was going to head in the ring and it was going to lead to like a stare down or something. But they pretty much just like stay worlds apart, which played into some stuff we got later on in a week at Dynamite. But I thought this was a good return for her. That part of it was a bit awkward to me because I was like, why didn't she just get in the ring? It was so weird. So she comes down, she stands at the top of the ramp and it's like, she's standing up there for a little too long. And so like the pyro starts going off and she does, she walks down to like the middle of the ramp. But then she turns around. It's like, wait. Yeah, it was a little awkward. Are you going to get in there? I thought they would at least do a stare down. And then she just leaves. Yeah, a little awkward. But massive pop. And this is again to my point of how big the women felt on this show. Tony felt like a massive star here. Mina got over very well. Stephanie felt like a big breakout star Mercedes Mercedes. And then you added Brit to the mix. Like, I thought it was a very good night for the women's division. Wow. Yeah. The women kind of killed it. Huh? Yeah. But no, Brit came out and got a super huge pop. It was a little bit weird. But yeah, we'll talk about it a little bit. They got into some more on Dynamite that kind of type of story. Yeah. I think if you were upset at Tony Khan for his quote coming into his pay-per-view and him saying we have the best women's division in the world, he's a little bit vindicated here because, like I said, the women really stole the show on his pay-per-view. I felt like other than the main event, they had a very good showing on Sunday night. All their matches were heat. They were all different. They all had character work. They all had stories involved in them. Like, yeah, no, this was a home run night for the women. Yeah. More. We got the Naito match with Moxley, which was also very unpopular online. I was here for it coming in. The entrances were fire. Naito giving us big match entrance with, like, the suit and everything. Naito Mox come again with his New Japan thing, which I absolutely love. And he had on the New Japan tracksuit, basically rub it in, like, no, no, no. I represented that company. This is my belt. Take it from me. The match was fine. I think that their Wendy City Riot match was better. I've seen people say that they don't have great chemistry. For whatever reason, there were a few miscues in this match, but I don't think it was awful. It didn't feel worthy of this card. It didn't feel like worthy of all of the hype that we got into it. That's crazy. We're talking about the IWGP Championship, though. Yeah. I don't know. But we've seen, like, Naito is great, but Naito. That's what I was talking about earlier when I said some of the Japanese guys come over and they're in cruise control. Naito is like, yeah, we've seen, like, Naito has had great matches, but Naito also, he has some where it just doesn't really hit. And this wasn't very good. This was fine, like, it was fine, but it wasn't. And sometimes they work like this match would have been better than the Japan match, and this kind of felt like that. Like, this crowd was not ready for that match at all. You know what I mean? And the placement on the guard, it was like, they're fighting uphill battle that they're not going to win. I mean, I guess it was like, well, we'll get Naito the big win. It's the semi-man event. Like, we're telling a story with it, but there was a couple of different disconnects in this presentation, I think. Yeah, and Naito, his matches are kind of slow paced all the way into, like, the final sequence of it. He's had a bunch of matches this year where they've been kind of slow and plodding, and then, like, the last 10 minutes or so of it, it really ramps up and gets better. That's kind of his thing in general, though. Yeah. And so I feel like just like the time they were allotted and just like, for whatever reason, it just didn't really hit. Like, American fans aren't going to take that 15 minutes of him getting to the ship. You know what I mean? That 15 minutes is going to take them all the way out. And that's kind of what happened here. Yeah. But it was fine for what it was. Naito is your new IWGP World Champion. It's taken that belt back to Japan. It's going to be part of the G1 as well. Stacks feel for that G1. Very curious to see who comes out of it. Again, my pick is Zack Saber Jr. But somebody in our chat is saying to Kesta is also in that. Do you think that Naito makes it to Wrestle Kingdom as champions? I think so. Yeah. I'm going to assume so, but we'll see. But yeah, speaking of to Kesta, we did not get into a ladder match. Ladder match was a lot of fun as well. Oh, the ladder match. I feel like to Kesta was the highlight of this ladder match. He was by the end of it. I wanted him to win. The crowd wanted him to win. There was a big pop when he got to the top of the ladder. And we all slowly realized, oh, yeah, that Jack's probably going to win this match. There's been a couple of shows in the last year where if it wasn't for like Swara or Osprey or Brian Danielson to Kesta would be the most over guy. He would be the most like he feels the most protected. And even though he loses so many matches, like the fans have some kind of crazy connection to Kesta that always comes out in these big matches. He's an incredible wrestler and the connection that he makes, the way that he does spots. And I don't know as a big match wrestler, he just turned into something else. That blue thunder bomb from the apron through the double tables is like crazy. That's pro wrestling art to me. Crazy. So the sun is he pulled it off. I was like, all right, let's go put this button. What are we doing, man? Call an audible like those fans sometimes. Yeah, he was he was incredible, man. He really was the highlight of that match. I thought Leo was great. Jack doing all this stuff for heat in the match, doing very silly things like bringing out his black ladder. And at one point, when you bring the table out, I was like, is it going to be black too? No, it's a regular table day. Would you feel about a Mark Brisco almost doing an edge? I'm glad that he's okay. I thought that he made light of it in the best way afterwards. And it was very funny. What do you call it? Miss trajectory or something like that. Miss guided trajectory or whatever he called it was very funny. Dangerous, but yeah, I said it on the post show, Phil. I think this shit is so dangerous, man. Shout out to Jack Perry, Jack Perry got the win. These ladder matches. I don't know if the reward is as good as what it's the risk. You know what I mean, these matches, we've had so many ladder matches that are just dangerous. Somebody gets hurt. I don't think the big spots are big enough to warrant what kind of comes off of them. I think I just might be over ladder matches, if we're keeping it real. Yeah, just having to have a ladder match tonight. Two ladder matches. Oh, God damn it. Catch me later on the post show with Denise. I'll be covering this unbiasedly. Well, Leo was great. Apparently, he got an injury in this. I haven't seen much reported about it. I don't know what happened there. But Dante was fantastic. A fun ladder match all around, but yeah. It's so dangerous, man. Yeah, ladder match. I feel like we see ladder matches so often now too that it's kind of like. She's seen a ladder match. I feel like you've seen a lot of them. That's what I'm saying. You've seen one. You've seen them on there. They didn't do any super crazy spots that were different than they always do. And I'm like, if it's if we're not going to see something totally innovative and that's going to change the world. What's the point? Yeah, I think we don't see too many one on one ladder match anymore. We see see a lot of those multi men and multi women ladder matches now. And the multi men matches have kind of we've seen so many of them that is kind of like, okay, it's like get your spots in. No, it's somebody's on the side resting for five minutes. It's like, all right, you guys. Yeah, the flow of the match never really it is not for me. Yeah, like the last one on one ladder match we saw what I think was the Sammy Cody match was extremely well done because we just don't see that that often. Yeah, I mean, you're bringing up a great point. I guess I hadn't thought about it. Yeah, that's right. I think that is part of it. It's just like the cluster and the plunder is like, I'm not really into it. But if it's just two guys trying to get up there, it changes the whole trajectory and the difference in the match. It's just totally different. We just don't see a lot of one on one ladder matches anymore. So when we do see them, it feels more special, because, like I said, we see a lot of multi men ladder matches. So many feels like once a once a month at this point. Yeah, yeah, close the night with a incredible match. It was everything that I hoped it would be a more kind of over over exceeded expectations to me. I thought came out right away with Jim Jones opening for Swerve. It came out and with the belt and a very Jim Jones way led the crowd in a balling chant. And then I thought even funnier, he started doing the nine ideas coming down the ramp and Jim Jones way, which made it even funnier. What a hip hop character, Jim Jones. That's the best way to describe him. He's a hip hop character and like the way that nobody does it like Jones. He did everything in a such a Jim Jones way. It's like, Oh, do this. He's like, I got it. Like he, I love that he did the Wi-Fi hide a ball in and I'm thinking about it there in New York. That's why that hit and New York big, big pop for Jim when he came out to it was like, you, when he first started talking like the crowd was getting a bit louder and then when the light shined on him, you can see it was Jim crowd got very loud. Yeah, that was a really, really dope entrance for Swerve. We don't see this. And I think that's what made it so cool is that we don't see black wrestlers on this kind of stage. There aren't a lot of, well, not even a lot of, there aren't any black main inventors in Japan. And so we don't see them get this kind of platform and then to do something as black has come out with Jim Jones and New York and the headline this kind of show representing a W and all these other promotions around it. And these two guys immediately felt like the biggest stars on this entire card. I just can't say enough just how incredible this match was that opening sequence they did where they were going back and forth. And Swerve did like that matrix like move was like, we're, we're in for some shit. I was like, okay, we're here. They did though that sequence where Swerve went to the top rope and he looked like he's trying to go for the swerve stomp and I spray immediately kept up so by the time Swerve turned around to do the stomp he was already standing there waiting for them. And Swerve just was like, all right, let me just get down. Yeah, this was the counters in this match were insane. It's like credible. They say that wrestlers study other wrestlers so they can know what to do in the match. This is like, oh, both these guys knew exactly what the other was going to do them a step ahead of the other group. Osprey, the way that he had like confidence but also a little bit of doubt but also I'm Osprey and it doesn't matter if it's a big match. A main event, my first ever AEW main event on pay-per-view. I'm going to just try to murder you the whole time. Swerve had that like, confidence of like, I know who I am. I'm already the world champ. You got to beat me. I don't have to beat you, but I really want to beat you also. I thought that there were so many elements of this match that I really love. The Swerve stomp from the top through the announce table. Phil, what? Crazy. That looked like amazing. Watching it in person, I was like, this what? The fucking, the rhina on the barricade. I'm just, first of all, yeah, yeah, how? First of all, how do you have that kind of balance to pull that off and then have that balance and to make that jump and execute that like, what? Tight rope walk into a hurricane rhino on the barricade. Okay, yeah, that sounds like a normal wrestling thing to do. Yeah, that was insane. So many spots in this match that were insane, but just the storytelling as well was really, really good. I think playing off of what we saw in the Brian match at Dynasty. And of course, that was first crowning moment. At one point, I spray was pulling his sleeve off the same way he did in that match. And it's night and day, the differences in that match. Knowing I got, I got Brian. Look, I'm faster. I'm stronger than you. I'm going to beat you. And he's pulling that arm band off confidently like, yeah, I'm about to knock this man's head off. And this match, he's tired and he's like, he's like, when did he's trying to pull it off? And he thinks he's going to get that one last stand and he can't even pull it off. And it's worth just like mercifully put some out of his misery. The house call that he hit some with right afterwood, nasty, absolutely nasty. Yeah, that might have been my favorite part, my favorite story of the match feel of every match we've seen of Osprey in AEW. He's looked like a god. He's came at the end of it. He's fired up. He's big. Like his opponent is dead. At the end of this, he tried to hit that hidden blade and did nothing to swerve swerve looked at him. And this was like, Oh, nice try, young man. Like, that was it. Swerve looked like a Super Saiyan at the end of this, like a killer. Like, he looks like he got his place in the main event scene. Like, that was my favorite part of his, like, they did this match. And there was all this controversy of like, Swerve's going to be a transitional champion. Osprey's going to beat him. This Osprey's belt and all this. And for Swerve to, we just saw Osprey killed Brian Danielson, our beloved guy. And Swerve took all of that and said, Nah, I'm the man around here. I'm the captain of this ship now. And beat him handedly ended him so hard and made Osprey look like a mortal man. Like, what a great story to tell. Made Swerve look like, yeah, you deserve to be world champion. You deserve to be the main event. You deserve to be exactly in the position that you are. Yeah. I like that they continue to play up the story of, hey, you beat Kenny Omega because you came into that match with a killer instinct. You wanted to hurt that man. It wasn't like I just want to beat him. I hate this guy. I hate everything he stands for. I resent the idea that he considered talking. I resent that you're considered the best guy in in New Japan. No, I'm that guy now. You're gone. This is my spot. I'm going to beat you. I'm going to hurt you. And I'm going to take your title. And he didn't come into this match with the same energy. He came into this and was still treating this like fun and games. Like, I've been everybody that have come across in this company. You're my friend. Like, I know that you're trying to throw this personal stuff in here, but ha ha ha ha. We've danced together and dub x dub. We're friends. I'm going to beat you in this match and I'm going to take your title. And old times where it's just like, no, no, no, you don't get it. This is personal for me. And if you give me a shot, I am going to beat you. And he very much did it. He hesitated in this match. And because he because Don came now with a screwdriver and tried to get him to cheat. And that little bit of hesitation. That was enough. And it was everything the swerve had been saying coming into this match. Like, look, you better come into this match ready to kill me. And if you don't, I am going to beat you. And that's what happened. Yeah, I think that's what's a really cool thing about swerve's character too. Cause like, if he was put in that same position, even though he's supposed to be babyface, he probably would have used a screwdriver because he said he'll do anything that it takes to win the world champion to continue to be world champion. And it shows that I told I'll spray this. If you are given the opportunity, you probably won't pull the trigger and you didn't pull the trigger. And that's what ultimately lost you the match. Great story telling, man. This match was this is the first time I felt like in a while, usually when we get to the main event of an AEW show, we've seen so much craziness. It's like, how was this main event going to top what we've seen? I thought this main event blew everything else out of the water on the show, honestly. By far, the best match on the card, everything about it. The ring action, the counters, the storytelling, the ending sequence, the ending of swerve whispering in his ear when he was leaving. Not only did just swerve just feel like a big star, but it just feel like he big brought him to it just like, man, just great all around. I just, I left this because again, you know, me and you are kind of biased because we've been saying all along, we're big square of guys. And so I've been watching people in this go, well, swerve really that greater, you know, bringing up all this other stuff, blah, blah, blah. Listen, man, I want to hear no more. Let me tell you right now, I don't want to hear no more of that. That guy is the guy. I don't want to hear no more, man. There's so many things that came over this weekend that I completely forgot about. Somebody dug up the Fightful Select report when it was announced that he was signing with AW and they brought up a quote tweet of me saying whose house when it happened, I was like, listen, I have been from day one, a swerve guy. And not just from day one saying, I'm a swerve guy. I've been saying, give me this match from day one. And so to be in the building. And like I said, big new Japan fan, don't get to see black guys main event these shows and it's worth. I was like, listen, man, I don't want to hear any more of what the fuck you are talking about. Get that shit the fuck out of here, bro. This guy is the guy, man. Ain't nobody doing what he's doing. Ain't nobody. I think the point that you were making earlier about him bringing out Jim Jones, that's what's been getting me is like, he's taken every big moment he's had to do some hip hop shit. And like, that makes it like anytime he has a big moment like, here's a who kid, here's Kevin Gates, here's Rick Ross, like every moment he's had to like show the world, why he's here, he's brought some hip hop along with it. And like, you think I'm not about to tear a champion that's catered to me hip hop and wrestling, bro, you're out of your mind. I think that just what he's represented of like, I've always wanted to see a black world champion presented. Like me, and this is it. I'm sorry, guys. What do you want from me? No, this is, listen, everything I want. Amazing. Listen, man, again, in New York City, I'm sitting there. It is my birthday. It's the match that I wanted. It's so many things that I wanted. And there's so many other things linked to this, like, come on, not only is like this a guy I'm a big fan of. This is my friend family. This is like, not, bro. I don't want to hear no more dog, like enough. This guy, listen, I seen that list, power ranking, top three, he should have been second. I don't want to hear it. I could have been argument that he should have been number one. He's the guy. I'm not trying to hear no more. Oh, my God. I got some list, uh, list duties happening tomorrow. We're getting into PWI 500 talk, you guys. It should be so fun. Who's your number one feel real quick for this year? Yeah. I think it's between Swerve and Cody. I think you can make a very strong argument for Cody. Um, but you can also make a strong argument for Swerve. I mean, Swerve has not been penned this year. Um, this is about to be a fight rather. And I think that that's the two. That's probably my two biggest, um, ones. I put Osprey in there too. And I got a couple of there. Yeah. Uh, but yeah, what a what a way to end the night. What a great show. Amazing. Uh, you could argue that some of the stuff coming into the main event didn't hit, but this main event absolutely delivered. I feel like it made up for some of the other. Uh, misses on this show. Uh, not the learning tree. The learning tree thing was great. But yeah, what a what a fun night of wrestling. I'm so jealous and sad that you got to see that main event and fill those emotions and like, there was moments where you guys in the crowd were like locked in like, I felt like. For most of the show, it was great. Like, you know, they're there in New York. You're always going to get a good crowd. But that you guys during the main event was like, Oh, this is a crowd that kept their energy till the end and it helped the match and enhance the match. Yeah. I know some people might feel the way, but I said when he won the championship, listen, I don't care. I don't care. Some of this is I'm biased. I'm sure some people like, man, you riding very hard for this guy. I am. We're here a long time. I want to hear no more. There's no more excuses you can make. I saw people doing the whole. Oh, well, you know, he's not featured on the show enough. Guys, he's the only champion that has been featured heavily on Dynamite and collision. He wrestles more than most people on the entire roster. I don't win. People don't understand how present this guy is and has been since joining the company. Like, you like, why isn't he? I'm like, dude, he's always on the show. He's like, almost every taping. Like, he's, he's one of the most active champions that they've had. It's crazy. And going in the shows and I'm still amazed going to shows how over this guy is. It's crazy. Somebody pointed it out to me. But at one point last year, when you used to go to a w shows and it was just that dead air before the show started, you have all of those mix of chance going again. Like, sometimes you hear like, people doing the, yeah, yeah, there was a lot of the couple of them. There's a lot of LA night. Yes. Yeah. But now when you walk in the building from the beginning, you hear whose house is worse house. And from the beginning, you see his sign coming in the door. You see a lot of his shirts. Yep. This guy is over. I don't want to. That's a great point. Phil, man. That's a narrative. Like, I remember going to some shows and they were doing. Yeah. And woos. And I'm like, I don't really think that's what you want to start the show with. Like, you want to. You want to feel like the fans are there to see your people, the people that you present, the people that have sayings in your company. So why are they doing this? And yeah, when I went to double or nothing, the last couple of shows I went to. I had double or nothing. I watched a whole bunch of people walk in and I saw so many whose house shirts. I was like, yo, this is kind of different. And then when you get in there, it's a bunch of whose house swerves house to start the show. And it's like, okay, they changed this narrative, a good narrative that needed to be changed because you don't want to be hearing. Yeah, I'll just start to show like that. Yeah, I mean, you still hear random things to start the show, but like unanimously, now you hear a lot more swerve chance to start the show. I mean, even before we got to the main event, there were people that were hyping up for that match and that were high and they were starting the square house chance, even way before it. Like, so by the time Jim comes out and leads the square house chance, we've been ready to. We've been ready to pop off since the beginning of the show and man for Jim to come out there and start that just crazy. And then he celebrated with Jim at the end. I'm like, this is crazy. This is it. Damn dash was in the building as well. I saw him walking around from my seat. I was like, damn, don't you? Not a bunch of people shot now, Dame. I'm like, oh, Dame's out of the Navy show, just like kicking it. Interesting. Wrestling is weird, man. You're the fun night of wrestling. That was a really great night. I mean, I don't want to say that was a one match show, but there was a lot of crap and a lot of people in the crowd that were, they were like, we're coming for the main event. Everything else is a cherry on top. And I don't know if that's a bad thing. Like, we should put extra emphasis on the World Championship. Like every world title match should feel like that. Like, damn, this is the biggest match on the show. This is the best match on the show. That's kind of what sports and entertainment have been based off, you know. Yeah. And we got a very strong episode of Dynamite. I feel like they've officially killed this narrative that they don't know how to do the episode after Dynamite because they've done so many good ones after pay per views now. Yeah. They're on a streak. Yeah, this was a very, very good episode of Dynamite in the City of Chicago. You had a lot of things going for it. You had the Owen Hart tournament matches ready. I think that made this show better opening with the Brian Pack match, which was fantastic. Um, the brothers are fighting. Yeah. Very, very good match. I thought the ending sequence of that match was so, so good. Those, the, the pen attempts and the submission attempts in that one. Really, really good match. Yeah. The reason that I like, I mean, we all kind of knew the result, but I was thinking as this match is going on. I'm like, this is kind of a, a whack story to tell about pack of like Brian just had this hard hitting ass match against Shingo. And then he's still going to come in here and beat pack who's like, hasn't had a match and his blah, blah, blah. But like, I think the story that pack was coming into this of like every big moment that I've had, I haven't gotten the win. I needed to change. I need this killer instinct and showing that he still hasn't gotten there is part of the story. Yeah. I think doing all of this storytelling to say he wants to earn his spot on the Wembley card and get his moment there. And this was going to be the way. And then he just lost straight away to Brian. I like it, but you've got to pay this off. Well, you got to give him something at once. You got to be on that card. Yeah. So hopefully they get something. I'm crossing my fingers. That's going to be the ricochet match. If ricochet is coming in and you want something big, I think it should be ricochet versus pack. Who do we determine with Osprey? Oh, Max. Okay, we're going to be Max based on some things we saw later in the night. But yeah, I'm super excited about Brian getting the victory. The match is awesome. We're one step closer to Brian Danielson, headlining all in against. Phil getting close there again. This is the other thing about that match. That match and that win over Osprey, it changed everything. It put him in the upper echeline of wrestlers. And they're not a black, black, black people in that upper echeline of workers, man. Like, what about the article that came out that Tokyo. Yeah. Listen, I'm trying to see that guy at the dome. We also got that announcement that Russell Dynasty will be taking place in Japan. The day after Russell Kingdom on January 5th, I'm trying to see Swerve wrestling in the dome on January 5th. You trying to go to Japan? I would love to go to Japan. I don't know if I'm going to be able to do that, but I would love to. I definitely looked up flights this week, so somebody sent me 1500 bucks. But yeah, man, just all of the hype around that, like I said, he's in a different echeline. The last match that I want him to get that's going to just completely kill some of these conversations. When he's ready. Swerve versus Kenny Omega. That's the match. Whenever we get it. Just know that. That's that's one of the ones. Every time we have like a long AEW talk and we talk about how great everything is. And then I'm like, damn, that's amazing. And then Kenny Omega's brought up and I'm like, Oh, yeah, Kenny Omega still here to add on to this greatness. And I think about that Swerve and Kenny match often. And I'm like, I just, I don't know what they're going to do. And it just excites me. I'm very excited about the potential of that happening insane stuff, man. Yeah, but shout out to Swerve. I think he's been, he's like, what a championship rain is supposed to do for the champion and elevate a person. I think he's elevated past like if he lost the belt today, he would. I think the goal of what he was this champion has been achieved. You know, yeah, I think this rain is absolutely elevated him. I don't see how you can argue otherwise. But yeah, even going into this dynamite, there was a lot of who's house, Swerve House chance in when trust arena. And we did not get Swerve. I'll swear. He was not there. But yeah, several times during this show, there were a Swerve chance. Notably, during the Owen Hart tournament match where for some reason, people thought Jeff Jarrett was going to go over the wild card, but a wild card. Not the discourse this week. Brother, brother, brother. The wild card was a returning hangman at a page, came back with a new presentation, a new theme music, got a pretty good reaction coming out initially. And then he crushed everybody's hopes and he healed it up. This is where I thought the Chicago crowd played very well off of the match because they were booing hangman out of the building to get one point because Jeff was doing what he was supposed to do. He worked a great match. Every time he tried to go for that sharpshooter, because the storyline of him and Owen, the crowd was up for it. And it hit man, shout out to Jarrett Jarrett, man, because I thought he worked a fantastic match. For somebody that at one point, people were like, "Why is Jeff in this? Why is he in Owen Hart?" And then they put that vignette out and people were like, "Oh, this is really great storytelling." And he came into this match as a complete underdog, worked very well with hangman. And I thought it was a strong match, very well marked match, but of course hangman won. And people for some reason were upset about this, but of course hangman was going to win. We've been talking on this show about looking like a big star. Talk about looking like a big star when hangman page was at the top of the ramp and the lights were low and his lower third came in. I was like, "Oh, my God, hangman page is one of the biggest stars in this company." The new song, the new Tron video, I felt like, "Oh, wow, he's really being presented. He should have always been presented." Initially, the Chicago crowd was like, "Oh, hangman page back. We're excited about this." But I love him immediately having the face of, "I'm not here for your bullshit. I'm not here to play games. I'm here to win the Owen Hart tournament. And I'm going to have to beat up Jeff Jarrett to do it." The story of people being like, "Why is Jeff Jarrett into this?" Transitioned into Jeff Jarrett should win or at least get to the finals of Wembley was one of the funniest stories of the week. They don't understand how much that played into making hangman page and how much that played into the progression of this story. People being like, "Well, why would they even show the video if Jeff Jarrett didn't win?" I'm like, "Yeah, this reaction right now is why they showed it. I think you're telling us why they showed it." But I love the finish of this, hangman hitting the buckshot, but still beating up Jarrett after all. Yeah, I thought all the day was great because you're supposed to not like hangman here. That's the point. So I see people say, "Well, why did you need to do this?" And I was just like, "I'm so confused. Maybe I missed something. Maybe I'm one of the people that has been watching this company from day one and recognizing that hangman is one of the most beloved baby faces in the history of this company. And you were going to have to do some pretty drastic things to get this guy booed." And so... They didn't do it when they came out. They had to do something, you know what I mean? I understood all of this. I was very confused getting online later this night. And seeing people that have been watching wrestling longer than I have that are like... And they didn't get it. I was so confused. I was like, "Wait a minute, guys. Y'all can't be really mad at this, right? Did y'all really get work?" And Phil, the feminist part is... It's Jeff Jarrett. Dude, you just like, this guy is... Natorious worker. What do you mean? Natorious worker. Natorious, Carney, Jeff Jarrett. I was so confused by this. I was like, "You guys are really mad at this?" And I'm pretty sure that Double J was all in. He loves shit like this. We've been watching him do this for 35 years at this point. You guys get us to a point and then take it away. And Jeff Jarrett was never going to win this tournament. I'm sorry, you guys. They got an extra element. But now he has all this extra story and he off a tournament he wasn't supposed to win. It was so wild because, again, we have this discourse every other week of A.W. Doesn't tell stories. They created a perfect story for the reason why Jeff Jarrett was in this tournament. And then, they tied that back into the hangman and elite stuff and they followed up on it. And people were like, "Oh, this is bad booking." How? What do you mean? I'm so confused. I was super confused. And that's the funniest part. You said people that have been watching wrestling are like, "Yes, people that have been watching wrestling for like 35 years are like, "How could they ever do this? Why would they show the vid?" I'm like, "Dude, you are getting work? Are you not hearing this?" What's going on? I mean, it's great though. I love it. I want to be worked all the time. I think that adds on to it. It's just so funny. Yeah, I could not believe some of the reactions to this. I was like, "Guys, this is how you're supposed to feel. You're supposed to be mad that Jeff lost." I don't know. They do an ankle and it gets desired reaction. Why would they do this? I think they did it. That was right. Wow. Yeah, but I can't believe they would do this to me. All right. Really, really well done return. Really good match. Looking forward to what Hangman is going to do in a rest of this tournament. He's got Jay White coming up. Of course, Jay White also has history with Hangman. I believe Jay White has a pretty winning record against Hangman. That should play into the match. We also got some continuity stuff of the Bucks interacting with Hangman after the match. Saying, "Man, no hard feelings on us having to suspend you, buddy. We just chilling out to do." And Hangman wasn't trying to hear none of that. He was like, "I'm tired of all your games. Blah, blah, blah." People were like, "How does this get us to Hangman possibly joining those guys in a blood and guts match?" The common enemy is going to make him side with them because it doesn't matter how he feels about those guys. He hates Swerve more. I know a few weeks ago Swerve was like, "If you guys do another match, Team AEW, I'm Team AEW." Yes. And so the second those lines are drawn and Swerve is on the other side of it, Hangman will side with whoever is going against him because he hates him that much. And we've seen that throughout the build to this because I mean, the last time we saw Hangman before this match, he cost Swerve the match. He would rather tap and lose the match than let Swerve win. And coming into this match, there were a lot of Swerve chants during this match. And you can see all over Hangman's face that he was getting pissed off the entire time. It made him beat up on Jeff even more because he was like, "I hate this guy. I hate that you guys are cheering for this guy. He's not a good guy. I'm a good guy. This guy ran in my house and like talked to my kid like, "No, no. How dare you?" I'm telling a lot of good stories out of this because I feel like as a character, Hangman's like, "How can I get back to the World Championship? How can I get back to Swerve?" And then they're like, "Oh, the winner of this tournament is going to get a title match." She's like, "Oh, that's perfect. Now, how could I finesse my way back into it?" "Oh, yeah. My friends are now doing this power trip thing." "Oh, yeah. I'll scratch your back. Come in. Put me in that tournament and I'll do it." And then they're like, "Hey, we scratched your back. What are you going to do for us?" He's like, "I'm not doing nothing for y'all. I'm going to win this tournament and beat Swerve up." That's the only reason that I'm back here. Great storytelling. And the Chicago crowd being like, "Damn, we really like Hangman." But Jeff Jarrett has convinced us that we want him to win this tournament. So like, what's going on there? But the punches at the end just like added on to the character. Hangman keeping that face of like, "I'm in business, you guys. You're not going to get me off my game added on to it." Yeah. But that's why I also didn't understand people. The second the wild card was announced and we got the vignette for Hangman. I was like, "Okay, well, Hangman is the wild card." Right. And based on the story between Swerve and Hangman, Hangman is going to win. And so I didn't understand people like, "Well, just got to win." No, of course the guy that's had like almost a year-long feud with Swerve. That is now it's personal, it's bitter and all these other things. No, I'm going to do anything to get my rematch because that guy shouldn't be champion. I've been telling you that from the beginning. The entire beginning of our feud with Swerve telling him, "Hey, man, you've wasted your opportunities. When I get the opportunity, I'm going to be the first Black AW world champion." And he's done that and he's had to sit at home and watch that. And when he came back and he's like, "No, no, no, no, no. Get this guy out of here." You put me through all this and you guys are cheering them. Everybody's slapping hands on his shirts now. What the hell's going on? All this work and you guys are all happy to see him. He's coming out with rappers now. He's like, "Get this out of here." Are you serious? This guy's a bad guy. And everybody's like, "No, we love Swerve. Hey, man, I'm sorry, bro. I ain't trying to hear it." Yeah, it just, yeah, it very feels like a hangman is Frank Ryan. He's like, "How do you guys like this guy?" Shout out to him and I love the story that they're telling. Yeah, tonight he's facing Jay White, which is going to be an incredible man. And then I'm sure they're going to give him time. But it's looking like it's going to lead to hangman and Brian Dangus. And I mean, I can't see Jay White beating hangman. How many crazy ones have we seen with Brian and hangman? Yeah, you know, historically had two big AW world title matches, arguably two of the best AW title matches ever. And they could possibly get a rematch in the finals of this tournament. Makes this tournament feel like a big deal. Makes the, it has like some really good storylines in it this year. Who knows? Who knows who's going to win this? I think it's going to be Brian Dangus. How do you feel that it was kind of a smaller field than like, it's over almost. Like on Wednesday, it's done. Like, does that enhance or take away from the prestige of the tournament for you? Yeah, it doesn't really bother me. Yeah, because it feels like they're trying to get it so it lines up with the Calgary date. So that makes sense. Yeah, strong match, strong, strong return. We've got more of the Brit return on this show as well. Really, really high segment. The crowd was very much into this segment. Brit came out and did her. I'm back speech. She got into some injury news. She got into what she was going through while she was away. Surprisingly inspirational. It went a little long for me. Just her part of it went a little long, but I got it established where she's at and established where she's been. And it further got the crowd behind her for the stuff later in the segment. But it took a long time to get going. Brit Baker is female Maxwell Jacob Friedman, standing on record. That return that she did at the pay-per-view with is uncalled for. We could have just saw this at the show on Wednesday. Why are you doing this? And then she comes back and does a 20 minute promo. Yeah, I think you're great at promos, but this specific promo off your comeback. I don't know. It's kind of become a trend with AEW. I've been out for a while. I have to tell you guys while I've been out. Like, no, not really. I don't think so. Yeah, I think there were parts of this that would have worked better as a video package of her talking about her time away. Exactly. It felt like that Serena D promo from a few weeks ago, a few months ago where she was like, "I had of all these seizures." And the crowd was like, "What?" You know what I mean? It's like, a live crowd don't want to hear an inspirational type promo, especially when you're not known for that. Brit don't be doing inspirational. Why are you out here talking about that? You be calling people bitches. You be blah, blah, blah. But they did get to the shits when I like what they did, because it felt like at the pay-per-view Brit interrupted Mercedes celebration. So Mercedes comes down. They start putting the celebration of Wild Brits in the ring. The young bucks are attached to it. They're putting balloons in, setting up all these decorations. Wild Brits in the ring talking. And Mercedes just comes down. What do you think got the better of this little back and forth? Because online has been very funny. I'm like, because people are really like this standing line, and Brit's like, "That line?" And it's like, "All right, but like..." Yeah, I think she... Like I said, it took a minute to get this segment going, but the crowd was very much into it. Once she got into the "I've been here since day one" stuff, and you know how an AEW crowd is with their home growns and their day one guys? And so she got the crowd over with that, but when they started pouring those balloons in there on the floor, and putting the balloons in the corner, and they put the big Mercedes picture up there, I was dying laughing. I was dead. I almost felt like I was like, "It's not enough balloons. Pour some more balloons in there." I don't know the ones that come down from the top, like drop it on them. Just drop some confetti, like, "Oh man." And so then we got the video of Mercedes outside talking to the bucks, and they were like, "We acknowledge you as our CEO. It's only one CEO at this company." That's Mercedes. And that just made all the sense in the world. If you're going to make Mercedes a heel, and the bucks are already a heel, and she's already doing this bit as CEO, it just makes sense. And again, you can see all of her Mercedes face when she got up that car. She has been ready to be a heel. She has been ready to call all of you bums broke. She has been ready. And so she came out, all confidence. And Britt thought she got some off on there, like, "Yeah, you know, I wrestled at the first all in. I'm challenging you at all in. I've wrestled at the first all in. I was at all in in London last night, last year, when you were in the crowd with a broke leg." And she said, "Hi, Britt. I've never broke." And I was like, "Oh, it's over. It's different over here, man. Are you not going to be able to get one over on Mercedes? I'm sorry." Bro, that and the way she muffled her, like, you're too close. Yeah, you're not peck up. You're all in my space. I died laughing. Most of the crowd around me were Channing DMD. I was not. I'm sorry. I was with the CEO. And there were several bits of this that worked. Like I said, it took a while to get going, but I thought once they started, like, interacting with each other, it got much better. The crowd wasn't into it. It had very good heat. Mercedes was getting booed very loudly throughout this, especially because, like I said, once you make this outsider against home-grown wrestler, you know, where the AEW crowd is going to go. Simple formula. And the crowd was very much on Britt's side, especially when she was laying out, you know, she was the first female wrestler signed. And then you put all those other storytelling with it. And that's why I think the Willow feud was important because Willow set up straight away of like, all right, well, the TNT title is a belt for home-grown AEW wrestlers. That might not have ever been explicitly said, but all of the women that have held this belt are home-grown talents that have built their way up. And so for you to come straight in and beat me and take it before my reign really got going, yeah, the AEW fans didn't like that. Then Stephanie Fakara comes in. She's like this new name, beats her too, takes her belt too. No, crowd didn't like that. Nope. And so now you're looking at Britt of all people, the day one female signy to come in and stop her reign of terror. Buddy, let me tell you, she ain't going to be the one to do it. [laughter] Let me tell you, it's not going to happen, buddy. I know you guys want it, and I know you guys are cheering. But that's what makes all of this so good. And Mercedes was not having it. I thought her telling her to get back to the line, and of course, hitting her with the what-line bitch, which is a reference to the Sasha and Naya promo. I thought that that was a good touch. I thought Mercedes laughed in her face when she said that immediately like, "Yeah, good, you're a fan." You've seen my work. [laughter] I thought all of that was great. I thought, you know, no matter what you think of any of this, I thought both of them look like massive stars. And this is, again, women's division is cooking, man. Like, we've never seen the women get this much time in like an on-screen segment. I mean, the best I can think of is Brett's back and forth with Ruby, which was also good, but this just felt different, like the star power in that ring. At one point, we debated about what is the biggest match for Mercedes, and I was sitting in that crowd, I was like, "Yeah, this is huge." Unfortunately, I have to concede, and that is the one. Yeah, I didn't like the beginning. I thought it was a little too long. That's why I compared her to my homeboy Max. But when they did get to it, when pretty much from Mercedes on, I thought it was super heat. Brett showed that she could keep up in a promo battle. First of all, which most importantly, I think people thought would be the case anyways. And if we're going to get a lot more of this heading into all in, by the time we get there, it's going to be a heated ass matchup. Yeah, and I thought, you know, I'm sure most people knew that this is where Brett was going to excel on the microphone. Yeah. And people thought, "Oh, well, Mercedes is the one that's not a great talker, so we're going to see how this exchange works." But again, once you boo her, she turns into different. And Mercedes as a heel, all she has to do is rebuttal. Like, and all of her rebuttals hit like the, "No, I'm not broke. I'm never been broke." Yeah, like, you can't, like, she doesn't have to do long monologues because she could just do responses like that. And that's going to enhance your character, you know? One of Brett's retorts is one of her most famous replies. So it's like, you can't be like, "All right, well, Brett's the better mic worker." And that, you know, she's not going to come back with some heat. Straight away, you saw it! She came back with her heat. She's got to use her heat against her. That's what it says about her. But yeah, I think just that them getting that stare down, you guys in the Chicago crowd being so hyped for it, it's like, "Oh, the women are getting into a different place." Just being able to get more stories and get more TV time is important to the development of the division. So I think this is important. I hate that people are like, "The TNT belt, the secondary belt, it makes me so mad." I'm like, "Well, how will you ever build up a belt if you keep trying to put take prestige away from it?" You know? I mean, well, I immediately thought of the Cody quote of, like, "There's no mid-card title." Yeah. Like, it's whoever holds the belt, it's what they bring to that belt. And I feel like that's happened a lot with the TNT title. Those TNT title reigns have been different depending on who holds it. Like, Jade felt like a big deal when she held that belt. She made that belt her own. Willow felt like a massive baby face with that belt. And that later was having the work rate matches. Yeah, you're right. These are all like super completely different reigns. Super, super different reigns. And I feel like right now Mercedes is just doing something different and making that a prize that other people want to carry. It feels like kind of like not just when Cody was holding the TNT title and it felt like a belt that could main event shows. And then when Darby had it for a minute, he felt like a main eventer and all these other things. That's why I'm like, "Why would you immediately go?" Well, it's the secondary belt. That feels like a complaint for people that don't watch the show and isn't watching the history of those two titles. And as Mercedes, Mercedes don't carry no secondary belt. If Mercedes got it, it's a big belt. Yeah. But yeah, I thought this was very good. Very good segment. Very good way to continue to hype up all in. It is what I think about that all in is next month coming up very fast. I'm saying, bro, these things come up. Hell, I fast. Blood and guts is in a few weeks already. It's like back to back to back to back stuff, though. But yeah, I thought this was a good way to start to that. The only worry I had is that once they started the interaction and they started the bars back and forth, I was like, okay, you've got more weeks to build to this match. So you could have probably saved some of that for some more segments, but for a segment to kick this thing off, I thought it was really good. Because we're going to get into a blood and gut. I'm sure they're going to try to build to a big Mercedes match for blood and guts. You know what I mean? That's kind of like a show before that it's going to get. You don't want it to be like, how are they going to tell the story essentially for two months? Maybe. No. Right. But building up Brit with some big wins, Mercedes gets some wins. It'll be, I don't think it'll work. Yeah. You got some more Jericho stuff on Dynamite. He brought the fire ball back. Yeah. It was cool to see Shabbatah and Hook and Joe again as a trio again. I feel like let's start building to that Bullet Club gold match. Get to the trio's title match. That makes the most sense for those three. But the main event was again the main event. The second big story coming out of this week. Osprey versus Garcia felt like a huge deal. Garcia had this big build coming into this. So wanting to go to distance with Osprey. And I thought he did. He had a really great match. He worked really well. He did the character stuff that he does well. When Osprey did like the Kawada kicks and he would have said down for Garcia to do the Kawada kicks back. And he started to dance on Osprey's head. I was thinking you're about to pay for this, Dan Garcia. I think you're going to pay for this. And then Osprey hits him with the hard-ass job to be like, dude, get serious into this. Yeah. I thought all of that stuff was great. That crowd loved both of these guys. I was actually going to ask you. Did you watch the main event of Forbidden Door or back with Osprey and Swerve? I've watched some of it. I've been watched the whole thing back. I've watched it one point because you were there live at one point during the match. They just shoot to Daniel Garcia, like in the crowd. And it's like so random. Like the match is just happening. Osprey and Swerve are cooking, cooking, cooking. And they just shoot to Daniel Garcia in the crowd, like sting. And it's like, well, why are you guys doing that? Like it didn't make any sense at all. And then they shoot to Max too. So it was like a super weird thing. I guess they were trying to add on to the story of this match, but it was so weird. Yeah. Yeah, I didn't see that. Well, yeah. Not up to Daniel Garcia. I thought this match was awesome. Yeah. I thought this made Dan look like a up-and-comer. He's continued to look like that since the content of the classic. And he looks incredible. I feel like sometimes in the build to this match, there's a lot of tell and not enough show. And in this match, he showed he belonged. He was great. Osprey, of course, is great because Osprey is. Osprey at this point, he don't have bad matches. But we got the max stuff in this match because Max was in Dan's corner. At one point, he tried to give him the dynamite diamond ring to help him win the match. And he turned him down and he proceeded to lose. That was the thing that kind of cost him the match, which mirrored, oddly enough, what cost Osprey the match at the pay-per-view. I thought that was a nice touch. That was a good touch. So afterwards, Osprey consoled Garcia in the corner. Then he left. Then as soon as Max got in that ring, I was yelling the whole time. I was like, "Dan, get out of ring, man." You can't trust this guy. I've been saying this for over a year. I know you guys like that brochacho stuff. I know you wanted to cheer this Adam Cole stuff. But I've been telling you guys all along, you cannot trust that guy. And so the whole time, I was like, "Dan, get out of ring." As soon as he started beating him down, I was like, "I knew it. I knew this guy was going to do this." I immediately started booing him. There were people around me that were trying, like I said earlier, to start. He's our scumbag chant. I was like, "No, he sucks. Get him out of here." I thought he... Also, I felt towards the end, this beatdown went on a little long. It was a little long. It's Max. But he was trying to get the most heat out of this as possible. Before then it worked, when he started working, going out... Wait a minute. Before that, I thought also a good touch when he was beating him down and he was saying, "I restored the feeling." I thought that was a great touch as well. It does feel like old AW is back in some ways. It does. Just having Brit back, having Max back. We're only missing Kenny, man. We're back, Ken. It feels like a lot of that same energy, like a lot of wrestlers that made people fans are back. But yeah, we're definitely back to old Max, because he headed out past the crowd and he got in some people's faces. Not until the Chicago homeboy out there who was not having it. Rob was not having it. He threw some garbage on dude, turned around. He went nose to nose with him. Bro, it's arching at him. That was wild. What a wild atmosphere for that? I should say immediately. Don't touch the wrestlers, guys. Don't do that. I can't believe sometimes you have to say this, but don't touch the wrestlers, guys, because you didn't get what you're asking for when you get your ass kicked. Don't touch the wrestlers. Because wrestlers take, if you touch me that you're threatening me and I can fight you and they will fight you. Yes. Because do not hop over that barricade. Do not try to become part of the show. Don't get in there. Stay on that side of the barricade. You are a fan. Stay over the internet. You should have this reaction, but like, it's a show. Let's just, let's calm down. Now, did I think it was very funny? Yes. I laughed very hard at it. I loved it. We also have to keep these things in perspective. Stay on that side of the barricade. There's a side for you. There's a barricade in guardrail for a reason. So you're not over here. Yeah. But yeah, don't try to make this a habit where everybody's, yeah, don't do that. Yeah. I don't want anybody to see this and go, all right. Yeah. I can, I can jump bad at a rush. I turn here. Relax. Relax. There's been plenty of examples of this going bad for a fan. Don't do that. It doesn't ever go good. No. So, but yeah, I thought this was a great way to end a really, really good episode of Dynamite. Strong. This was, I feel, one of the best episodes of Dynamite this year. Yeah, well, we got some of everything. We got great matches. We got good stories. We got promo segments. We got good stuff with the women. All the best, all the best Dynamites of the year have ended with the big cliffhanger type angle. And because I think that's, that's so important in pro wrestling TV culture of, well, what's next? What's going to happen next? Like, what are they going to do with Max? Like, if you end on a big heavy ass cliffhanger, it's going to be a strong wrestling show. And I thought that that's what this was. Now people are looking for Max on collision tonight. They're trying to see what's next. Really strong stuff. It's been a long time coming. Max, Bill and I have never believed you that you are a baby face. You should be. He'll always been when he came back and did that promo. I'm like, I'm not going to bubble balls waiting for the shit. And you finally got to the shit. So I'm excited. Yeah. He kind of warned us in his promo. There's nothing that he was no more fun in games. He was back to the old Max. He ain't nobody's friend. He's nobody's friend. So he, he pretty much played this up from the beginning. He warned people this was coming. Honestly, it's kind of Daniel. Dan Garcia's fault. He said I'm not going to be anyone's friend. And then Daniel Garcia thought he was his friend. What happened? I knew immediately you can't trust this guy. But I thought that that was a good way to play up some of the stuff with him and Garcia from last year. And Garcia, the title match, when he was champion. They did that, that a freshman cover thing. And so. Oh, yeah. Let's try it. And continue to push that Dan is going to be the future of this company. I have to assume at some point we're probably going to get Garcia versus Jack. Could be the all end match. Maybe. I don't know. But now Phil, I was very confused after Dynamite. A hell of people were like, oh, well, Dan Garcia is leaving A.W. I'm like, wait, what happened? This one went off in an ambulance and then people got the idea that he's now leaving A.W. I'm like, wait, what? How did, how did we get here so far? Okay. So we've watched the ascension of this guy. We watched him have great runs in the conduct of classic. We've watched him built up his stock and become one of a beloved character in this company. And he's going to leave. Why would he leave you guys? That doesn't make any sense at all. Yeah, that was another one. I didn't understand. That came kind of a left field for me. Why do people all of a sudden think that I know we just saw Rick Shake getting written off TV and free agency. Oh, that's supposed to be like a write off now. That's the next man got you. I just didn't feel like them writing Garcia off to me. This kind of felt like a play off of something that they were already building towards with Garcia and Max. This wasn't like, because the stuff with Brian, they had already started that and it was a good way to write. But this felt different to me. Right. Maybe I'm just off. And we didn't even hear anything coming up about his contract. I know that there was a fight for select reported about it. But I don't think he's going to win. No, where's he going to go? I like Denver is made for they built his stock here in AEW. Like he's like he would kill all the momentum that he had if he went somewhere. It wouldn't make any sense. Like you can go to WWE. Yeah, but why would he do that? Well, I mean, you know, he did have the whole thing with Jericho where he's a he's a superstar. And, you know, the trademark Garcia clip of Jericho saying that he's a superstar and he says, well, so am I. So maybe he's just going to pop up at NXT. No. That'd be so dumb. That'd be very funny if he popped up at NXT. And I mean, funny enough, like with his was his skill set and everything. I actually think he would do very well over there. You could immediately shoot him into the main title picture. Yeah, I don't think it's about him. I think he'd do well anywhere. But like he hasn't gotten that big win in AEW and he's going to get it. So why would you leave? That didn't make sense. Yeah, I don't buy it going anywhere. Super funny though. But yeah, that's leading to when they first, when Max started first eating the thing, like, are we going to get Max in Daniel at Wembley? And I'm like, no way, you guys. We know this is leading to Max in Osprey because Osprey came in and tried to make the save at the end. And now they're telling that story. So that's good. I'm loving this. I've been wanting to see Max as a heel for a long time. Yeah, I was ready for him to go back to heel stuff. Babyface, Max never really felt real for me, man. I just never really trusted him. Not that big of a fan. Yeah. But yeah, what a strong week of AEW. And we talked about AEW for like two hours. I'm like, look at you guys. Show, show, shows. You got pay-per-view tonight. Starting now with Grapple Geekery who says just wanted to say that every time Red says he likes a learning tree, Mama Wayne cries. Mama Wayne is actually a big fan of the learning tree, too, if you guys didn't know. It's just a fact. That twin place says Kendrick is kicking a corpse at this point. Yeah, now when he gets to the end of the video and he gets to the family matters line and him and Whitney are in their house with their kids, Crip Walking. I was like, that's it. Checkmate. It's over. She's already checkmate, but it's definitely checkmate now. Kendrick, Whitney and their kids, Crip Walking in the living room is like a visual that I've never imagined could come out of this. But like, yeah, it's over. You're done. You're done for. Amazing. Whitney was getting a shit off, too. Yeah. Now she was really going in. You said zoom in the camera on my Crip Walk, too. Grapple Geekery says, geez, you and yours have the deepest condolences, Reg, which I heard this before. I posted the joke chat. I'm sitting positive ways your way. No, it's fine. Grapple Geekery. We love jokes. Ad onto it. We need jokes. We need the jokes, buddy, because I was in a very not great place before we started this podcast. So we needed the jokes. Brother, brother. I was almost like, oh, I should, but no, the reason that we do this is because of that. Like I feel so much better, honestly, doing so appreciate y'all for being here with us. Our friend, Aaron Busby says prayers up for your losses. My geez. I hope that not like us video brought y'all spirits up. It brought mine up for reasons. Also, the WrestleMania 40 Doc was a rock puff piece trash. Nobody has had more fun with this Kendrick stuff than Aaron Busby. I did not see this WrestleMania doc. Did you watch it? Oh, I haven't watched it yet. No, it's just been a lot going on. I've seen people. I was saying whatever means have came out of this with the rock. And I'm like, I don't know what's going on here. Yeah, I've seen the jokes. I've seen people talking about it, but I wasn't at home to watch it right before dynamite. And then I got back home pretty late after dynamite. And then, you know, fourth of July was the next day. So I just haven't had a chance to watch it. I might end up watching it today or something. I appreciate that nice, generous, super chat Busby. You're cool. Yeah, they made y'all wait all this time for that. And that's what y'all got. I got the rock explaining that it was my idea. It was me all alone. It was me the whole time, Austin. What did they expect? There's my thing though, Phil. Like, what did they think was going to be said in this? Like, we all knew that what happened. Oh, yeah. Rock came and then, like, he started trying to some shit. Yeah, it was a really good trailer. Catch you guys. Yeah. A bit on a trailer, man. Bit hard. Yeah. And then they made them wait to fill. God. Yeah. I'll check it out. I've been going to watch it though. I'm sure it's funny. Uh, Will Chisholm says, "Rich, I'm surprised you didn't pop up in the Kendrick video. I wish." It was a lot of cameos. We got the Duros and Cameo. Oh, it's like, Dagg, man. You see, he's fine. No, that was the D-rosies talk about in the song, but that was the D-rosies song. Do people not know that? Yeah, people didn't know that. Okay. I feel like the connection, the Compton, and I thought that was pretty cool. I thought that was pretty obvious. Well, people don't. Connections. Yeah. Uh, yeah. Uh, but yeah, D-rosies, D-rosies was in the video. Might not be a Chicago bull for much longer. Uh, if, if the Lakers had got this right and this was all a rollout for him to be a Laker, that would have been fire. But I don't think that that's where this is going. I don't think so. Um, yeah. That would be insane though. Yeah. Uh, but yeah, a lot of, a lot of, uh, cameos in this video that I was like, man, Fonte retweeted it at one point. I was like, dang, Drake. It must have hurt. The homie eloquent says, "PCL been fighting M&M stands in my mentions all morning." Why? Thank God for grabs the my condolences for your loss range. I appreciate you eloquent. I haven't heard the new song. Have you heard it? No, I have not. Um, what has happened off of the backs of this beef for some reason, Phil? Or people are like, well, Kendrick couldn't do that versus M&M for some reason. Like, would it happen if M&M battled Kendrick? And so eloquent this morning, which I agreed with was like, well, who has M&M really beat in a battle? And then he went down the list and the list was super trash. It was like Ben Zino, MGK, Mariah Carey, the Backstreet Boys. And it's like, you guys keep talking about M&M's, war-ready M&M's all this. But who has he went to war with that was fighting back for real? Ben Zino has been trying to fight back for like 10 years. Ben Zino only had the source. That's the only reason anybody cared. Other than that, we're like, Ben Zino, shut your ass up. But yeah, I fear for a eloquent. Some of those battles, I'm like, I'm not. I laughed earlier this week, too, because there was like this report about Metro having to cancel some shows because of low attendance. And I was like, dang, it really is shut your ass up and go get some drums. [laughter] Guess I'll go make some drums then. Nobody wants to see me in this show. [laughter] Or shut up, the Metro. Also that this week, we got the homey Rick Ross got into a little bit of trouble out there in Canada. [laughter] You saw that video? I didn't see the video of the jumping, but I saw a little bit of his video talking about it. I'm just like, it's the same thing I've been saying. Like, man, I just don't want this to turn into some dumb shit. That's it, yeah. And all of a sudden, you got to have clearance to come to LA. You got to have clearance to Toronto. I don't want it to turn into that. And that's exactly what it is. It's not going to be Drake or Kendrick or those people do. It's going to be the dumb ass people that think they're riding for Drake that are going to do. That's how it always happens. You know? Yeah. Like, those guys think they were riding for OVO even though they're just some... Who knows what they were, but they think that they're doing something for somebody. Listen, again, it's there for that, bro. The guy was in there beating the Al Pancho. He had the Al in a cave. Listen, man, it's over. It's over, man. That's crazy. And the connection of LA culture and pinatas and stuff like the, like, it's pretty layered, multi-layered. It's a way dog. Grapple Geekery says, damn, damn, the same to you in your spill. My condolences. Yeah, it's... Thank you. Nick is tired. I think we feel... Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, because they're tired. Ooh. Deante Swanier says, "Tam, Tam, Tam. Mina, DMD. Love wrestling. All love to y'all." Yeah, man. I know that Deante was happy to see Tam as a fellow Tam, the kind of fan. Big representation for the homie Deante. I forbid indoor this year. Yeah. Mina pulled up and had a great match. And then, you know, DMD showed up as well. So, sure he was happy. Mm-hmm. Good time. Good stuff. Women, again, cooking. Van Twindblay says, "Phil, you got to check out this week's tasting history with Max Miller. It's about Chicago deep dish. And if Max sources are right, modern deep dish exists because a black woman changed the dough to a more biscuit-like dough. A black woman can't create a deep dish pizza? What haven't they created at this point? Oh, man. It's Chicago. A lot of things are linked back to black people. That's true. Yeah, listen. A black man discovered this city. That's true. I didn't know that till you took me to the homie statue. Yeah. I was like, "That's hard." Well, Chisholm also says, "Roman saw Solo's promo." It's like, "Why you say something for me?" Oh. Yeah, I thought that was a good promo. They ended "Max Down" last night with the Solo promo. I thought the presentation of it and everything was cool of them in that dark room. Once again, explaining what the lays mean and saying, "I'm the tribal chief now." And if Roman don't like that, then he can do something about it. And then afterwards, he'd get that visual of Jacob putting the lay over Solo. I thought that was hard. Yeah. Dex Baxter says, "Phil, I have to ask the question. What did you think of Suji?" He seemed like the least impressive guy in the trio's match by a mile. Teton was showing him up. I think that that was Teton's wheelhouse, like the big flippy. It was. Luchador Max. That's his stuff. Yeah. I think Suji's incredible. I think he's a big star in the making. I think he's a great wrestler, but that wasn't really the avenue to see what he does best. I thought his presence was good, though. He looked like a big star. He looked like he was out there, but he was just kind of mixed up in a match that's not really his wheelhouse like you're saying. Yeah. Teton was just like, "We about to have a good time out here. Let's fly." He looked around, bro. I saw it when he came out. He had the mask on top of his mask. Like, Bushi does. He ripped that mask off. He was like, "Let's get to it." Yeah. It's time, bro. Like, "Y'all trying to have fun? Yes or no?" Yeah. And also Haramble, too, because that's kind of like their style of, like, matches against, like, junior heavyweights or crazyweights. Right. So they were going to look better in that atmosphere than the bigger guy like Suji. Exactly. That's why when they did the initial announcement, and Haramble was like, "Mystico, oh my God. Like, it's for a reason. They have, like, these connections." Haramble was great in that match as well. He did the Sunset Power Bomb to the outside. He jumped right in the camera and was like, "Bye-bye, Mystico. Bye-bye." Well, funny. It was great to see him there. Josh Jones says, "I didn't love Forbidden Door, but who, brother, swerve versus offspring?" Instant Classic, in my opinion. Yeah. Um, Kamal Steven says, "I hear you feel, but I think those CM Punk chants have killed now. Also, I think the at least story is going to pick up." Um, yeah, I think it was just certain things that I'm kind of like, "Why are we still doing that chant now?" That's it. Just stop. Like, it's, it's done. I would never go to a wrestling show and chant for somebody at a different wrestling company. That's it. I just, yeah. I have no interest in doing that. I, I've been, I felt the same way even when he was suspended and we had that, uh, infamous trios matching Chicago and people were doing the, the fuck's the elite chants. I'm like, I just, I don't even want to sit doing that. Yeah. Uh, Coach Darling says, "I'm sorry about y'all's losses. I'm right here with y'all, sending good vibes. My fiance's mom died yesterday at 62." Sorry for your losses. Yeah. That's tough. I'm not sure if you're going to get to the end of the show. I'm not sure if you're going to get to the end of the show. I'm not sure if you're going to get to the end of the show. I'm not sure if you're going to get to the end of the show. He looked real tired, man. He looks like he's had a lot of sleep with nights. He was on the bout with the rich folks out there at that all white party. Those parties always creep me out when those billionaires are there. I'm like, there's too much money in there. Yeah, Tony Khan was in the building. He took a good first. But you're skiing. Shout out to rich people. Yeah, apparently Nick Khan was also there. There's a lot of people in it though. A lot of Khan's there. I'm sure they were. Hey, not C-O-N's. There probably was a lot of C-O-N's in there too. I think there were some other cons in there too. There's definitely some C-O-N's in there. See, more from Tony P. Also, I was looking at the old push interview after his diss. He talked about how this man used his son as a tool to promote his shoes. When work got out about him, the master manipulator. Now, before I go deep into wrestling, get Will Mertigram Pie. Yeah, I guess like there was some injury scare with Suzuki at a show last night. I don't know enough about it, but hopefully he's doing alright. Oh, damn, that sucks. Shout out to Suzuki. All over the world. I don't need to know where he was. Yeah. Now, for Petty of the Week, it's Max Jacob Freeman. Since Dot is in Hall of Fame, if Petty already. The ending to Dynamite was Chef Kiss. So many layers to the story already. We're wondering if it was going to be a three-way at all then. If not, how they would pivot to Will/Max. Yeah, I still think it's probably going to be just Will versus Max. Yeah, I don't think it's going to be a three-way. I've seen a lot of people talking about this this week, but I'm like, "No, I think they..." I don't want to say he was used, but Daniel played kind of a tool into enhancing the story of Max and MJO. Yeah. Or Max and Osprey. I hope they have something big planned for Garcia at Wembley, though. Me too. 'Cause he missed it last year. And now, like with everything building up to it this year, I feel like they've got a chance to do something really special with him. Yeah. Fuck it, run him and pack. I don't know. But yeah, I think maybe we'll set it early. Him and Jack. For the TNT title makes a lot of sense. Maybe Jack will get on the actual show this time and not ruin it like last time. We'll be on the pre-show. Getting into trouble. It's fun getting into trouble. It's not fun getting into trouble and some circumstances. Sometimes it is. Yeah, sometimes it is. Speaking of an all-white party, you see that they turn money into banking to an all-white party too? You hear about that? No. Yeah. Michael Cole yesterday at the press conference said he wants all the fans to wear a white. Yeah. It's a white party. Okay. What'd you think about that? I guess. I don't know. A bunch of wrestling fans in all way out. Probably should have been an all-black party, I think. It's not. I'd be seeing how some people, I see what some people's wrestling team look like after those first few wears. I don't know. See a punk shirt? Don't be quite happy. Don't call her me looking crazy. And you want everybody to be an all-white? I don't know who up is. Oh, no, man. But yeah, I guess they're trying to have some sort of visuals for the night and I'm like. Get out of here. Somebody said they saw Druski and Tony Con take that picture on life. We got to do our thing. Remember the road dog tweet where he's like, man, y'all looking super, super fly. Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. Super sharp. Maybe that's why I do it. Road dog want to get in on the mix. That's a lot of money, man. Road dog's like, I got this idea, you guys. All white party. He shows up with like his, with all white outfit on that looks like one of those Backstreet Boys stuff. With his old hairstyle. Oh, my God. He can't go in on that. That would. That would be really. Oh, man. Ryan, he would want it to all be party party party party party party party party party party. Oh, you didn't know faces. One for Tony. This makes me curious how they will handle the lead up to Tony Mariah and the fallout in my opinion. I think there shouldn't be any backstabbing or heel turn at the end, but wouldn't be shocked if it happens also for Ben Dora with fucking fire. Why do you get ready to have your heart broken? Mariah is a thousand percent going to turn on Tony. It's the only way to end this story. I've been watching this fester for a while. I watched how she acted for Ben Dora where, you know, everybody's making this like, oh, well, Tony has just been using her all this time. And slowly and slowly Tony has grown to like her. And Tony really cares about her, but it's looking more and more alike. Mariah may possibly be just using her. When they first started as a crew, Tony would never let her say her saying. Now she lets her say her saying. She lets her talking, her interviews. She's there supporting. She was there at Forbidden Dora with her track suit on supporting in her corner. Like it's such a big difference from how they started. Yeah, even the stuff after Rampage last night, when she said she immediately was like bosom and then she went to lay on her chest and she was like, no, no, I want to lay on your chest. And that's why I'm like, no, she's going to turn on her. Damn, damn, damn. It's going to be, it's going to hit really hard though. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, even if you just look at the story of the Forbidden Dora match and it looks like, all right, these two women are fighting because like that's my mentor. Like that's my mentee. I, I'm her mentor. And then it turns out like towards the end of this, Mariah's like, no, no, no. All three of us are fine together. I want it all. Just like, yeah, just looking away. Oh, oh, I hadn't thought about that aspect of the story too. Mariah bringing one of her old homies to essentially soften up Tony Storm. Do a lot of things here that she can do that. And I mean, she has all the motivation in the world to feel this way because for the beginning of their relationship. She was basically treating her like a joke. She's treating Mariah like a joke. She's treating her like she was a kid. It's coming man. Mariah's going to turn on her. Mariah's been playing the background like, I'm glad that you think of me that way. I'm glad that you're kind of planting seeds the whole time. Look, look at how Luther has been watching Mariah the whole time. Luther has never been feeling Mariah. He's been like, bro, get out of here. Like she's not your friend. Mm hmm. She had like every time, like even this week during the segment. Luther's in the background, shining up the championship belt. He's not feeling none of this. Mm hmm. It's a layered, layered story. That's all coming, buddy. Like, I know you guys don't want to see it. It's going to break your hearts, but Mariah's definitely turning on time. Their friends. Uh, Tony P says, Swerve Will was as good as we thought it would be. Mercedes did the job and made the world know the stuff was good. Uh, now about her wage, I think we are getting signs. Big changes are about to happen for it. Uh, this may, maybe Athena's final. Maybe this may be Athena finally losing to another black woman. Um, yeah, that match looks like it's going to be heat. Um, very excited about that. Um, yeah, very exciting stuff. They announced that, uh, Mercedes, no, I mean, Athena's going to be defending her ROH women's championship against Queen Nominada and Billy Stark's going to be defending her ROH women's television championship against Red Velvet and double awesome women's made of it for Ring of Honor. They also announced that they're going to be doing tapings at this, uh, Texas venue that they have this going on this month. Uh, extra just Ring of Honor tapings, which makes me very exciting because they've been attached to AEW tapings for so long. So yeah, hopefully there is a new added effort put on to Ring of Honor and in the future, it'll be some more emphasis put on it. Yeah. Uh, Lady B, I'm seeing in our chat is saying I'm new to Mariah. I can't see her as a heel. Hope she surprises me. Um, Club Venus. Well, the heel faction, everything she was doing with Mina in Japan, they were heels. Once she initially came over and she was doing the stuff with Tony, they're heels. Tony is turning face now. They were initially heels. Yeah. I mean, this whole Tony thing that she's doing now, she started as a heel. Like this just like, she's so great as a character that is flipped. And that's kind of exactly what happened with Mariah too. Like she's so great as a character. People are saying they can't even imagine her as a heel. And that's great. The whole start of her doing the Tony cosplay thing was her coming out and cheating Deanna out of that match. This is a deep ass story, man. Yeah, tell him it for a while. It's pretty much since day one of Mariah coming in. Uh, I would love somebody that, uh, is a little bit smarter than me and I really want a woman to do it. Uh, to write an entire breakdown on the complexities of Tony Storm's character. Um, because it's very smart. And I think it's more smart than people are giving it credit for because I think she's doing this thing where, uh, for a long time, uh, women were sexualized and wrestling and they were kind of forced into these roles. And she's doing this very sexual role in her own way and she's doing any windows in this way that it's kind of like if you know, you know, if you're paying attention to certain things, um, it's, it's, it's very brilliant. I just think it's more layers to it than people are actually paying attention to. Yeah, it's way deeper than what's on the surface and what it takes to Tony essentially flipped her whole gimmick, her whole everything we previously known about her into this new thing. And it's more over than she's ever been one of the most beloved characters in the entire company. Like she needs some like, do they give out awards or something like she needs to be commended for like the tremendous amount of everything it takes to get to this point. I mean, currently for me, Tony Storm is women's wrestler of the year. Yeah, I don't know. Like who could you put over her at the time? I don't think it's particularly close. Like, I know he is being put out there power ranking and she was on there. I thought she should have been number one, to be honest. Oh, baby was number one. Yeah, shout to Bailey. But yeah, Tony Storm has been incredible this year. Was Tony number two? I think she was second. If Tony was a number two, y'all are smoking. Yeah. And I mess up Bailey, but she shouldn't have the number one. What was this ranking is baked off? I don't want to get into it. It's probably voting. I, you know, it seems like it's like probably like a panel of people that vote on it. I don't know. Panel of big WWE fans. I don't know. I don't work there. And was it just a EW in WWE? That's all the questions that I have because like the tag team list was fucking abysmal. I'm like, these are the best tag teams. I don't think I sell all the tag team list. I saw that the bucks were number one. Yeah. Like, yeah. But like it's kind of the pattern of like they don't defend those championships. Half of these tag teams don't even wrestle. Like the tag team was not good. Honestly. Like these are the hottest tag teams in wrestling. That's not true. That could just be the type of shit. I don't know. But yeah, Jordan was on the women's list. So she was they included some DNA wrestlers. Yeah. I know that if you're going to do that for all of them, like with ABC on the tag vote, tagless. That's a shame. They should be on it. They have like Waller and. That was why. Yeah. Like no like grisly young vets or. I'm gonna look it up. I mean, I don't think that's. I mean, w w and a w are just like starting to get get back to basic so to speak with the with the tag team wrestling because that had been great this year. Okay. Here's the list. Number one was the bucks. Number two was FTR. Number three was Finn Balor and JD, not the third best tag team in anywhere. Number four is Nathan Frazier. Yeah. Yes. Number three. Number four was Frazier and Axiom. I like them. Number five is eight town down and under. Six is Bianca and Jade, which is like they're not. I honestly think Bianca and Jade should have been a little bit higher just for this year and as a tag team. I think they could have been higher within that, but. Number seven was DIY who like before last night, what? Eight street profits house of a house of black and a claim. You would have liked to seem like, I don't know, like. Or dogs or something or like. No, and LP. Yeah. Like what are you doing? You should have been on there. Definitely the best tag team in that whole company and one of the best tag teams in all of wrestling like. Facting, tag team is a little bit tougher at the moment because like I said, both companies aren't doing great with tag team wrestling. They're not. That's why I'm kind of giving a pass on that list, but that list is not that great. Yeah, but I'm assuming it's just people voting. Mike, who is their favorite tag team, who they think is best right now. The JD. JD. Finn is kind of a head scratcher. It's just like, it almost feels like you're just voting on them because they're current champions. Yeah. It feels like. Yeah. There's some of that. Yeah, but I don't know how these things are constructed. So, you know, I know a few people that probably voted on it. I'm trying to get some good, some good lists, good will off of this. So let's go see this and go. Just you just wait till I see that VW pop up on my feed. Oh, I'm a Friday boy. Red. I'm dead. I love this. Whoever the process. Great, great job, you guys. Just like to learn. Let's see more from Tony P says, M and X has been signed to. Oh, yeah. And it will be a big deal part, big part of wrestling dynasty in Japan. And outside wrestler has its TV belt. Hopefully this isn't hyped up depth before it goes back to what it is now. Missed the Orlando shows. I wish they would go back to doing the Orlando table. Yeah, but they just announced the maximum male models are coming in. They're both of them to ring of honor. So they're trying to do something. It feels like they're making an extra effort. We'll just see if it's real Mason Mass or popping up. Mm hmm. Shut up to them. They're good. Uh, he also says, now let me say this. I think Punk shouldn't cost you tonight. He will, but he shouldn't. Uh, he got over on you too many times. It is starting to get to the point of it makes him look dumb. Um, if he went, let him, let him miss catching again or let him win the belt. Um, yeah, I don't think they should do the whole punk screwed him again angle. I think if, if you're going to put the briefcase on him, let him actually have like a run with the briefcase. And, but what if he, cause it sounds like they're saying, he doesn't from tonight, but he screws him out of the briefcase though. I don't like that idea. Yeah, I don't like that idea either. No, I, I would prefer the idea of him actually using the cash in the car. Somebody else and then celebrating hard because of course he would do that because he's a hypocrite. I mean, the very idea that he was mad. Ah, yeah, yeah. Because somebody cashed in on him and then him using that exact thing to become champion again. Perfectly fits his character. That's probably honestly sounds kind of like what might happen. Yeah. Uh, he also says, uh, uh, but we know Jay is winning. So who you think will be champion when the cash is in and who's TK sending the startup. Don't think it's adding more, uh, ending now by saying, great ending to smack now with solo package. I'm glad to see, hang her back and DMD/CO is going to hump. Um, yeah, uh, I don't know, like the women that they might send the startup. I still think Anna Jay makes the most sense. Uh, I don't know. Um, if it's not Anna, well, it's not that roster could benefit from that. Uh, maybe Sky Blue. I mean, uh, you know, her boyfriend wrestled in Japan for a while. Um. Um. Uh, feels like everybody I'm going to say has already been there. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like Dunderosa is back and forth to Japan. She's done stardom. She's done Tokyo Joshi Pro. She hasn't had like a long run over there. Um, Deanna. Deanna's done stardom as well. Um, maybe Layla, Layla makes a lot of sense. She's been getting in back an incredible shape. That. Yeah. Layla might. For what they like, what they like, I think her style would actually hit pretty hard there. Yeah. She worked pretty well. She has a tiny pack. Like that actually is a pretty good one. Yeah. Uh. Yeah. Yeah. You want to get into some of this money in a bank card? Yeah. It's happening tonight. Before we get into Jay, I'm like, damn, I really thought that, uh, Drew could do this, but they really might put it on Jay, man. They like that entrance so much, Phil. Watching last night. I'm like, man, they love this entrance so much. He's on a poster. Uh. Yeah. But who's he going to beat though? Oh, I don't, I just, I don't know, man. Uh. Yeah. I don't know if I believed to Jay's money. Um, I can see why people would think that. Of course he currently has the best odds to win on bet online. And he's over like Rover. Yeah. Uh. Yeah. Uh, we've got two money in the bank matches, of course, the men's and women. Uh, there, there are no women's title matches on this card, which is an odd choice. Neither of the main women's titles are defended. There is no women's tag title match on this show. There are no women's title matches on this show at all. That's a very odd choice. What's, what's the, let me pull up this super tight and then we'll move over. Uh, Steph the writer says, "Living Dom stuff is helping live, but not the title. It feels like an afterthought." What is, why are they doing this with live and not giving her a match at the show? Um, well, two things are happening with live that I'm not the biggest fan of, but you know, we're now in let it play out mode. Uh, this trend started with Rhea, where the character stuff and everything else was more important than the actual wrestling part of the championship, and I was never the biggest fan of that. And so then when you put the belt on live, it's kind of like live is like straight away. No one thinks that live is going to lose that belt until Rhea comes back. No. Zero percent. Because that's the ready-made feud. And so- And you're building, essentially building to that. You're telling the story of her trying to replace Rhea. Like the whole thing is about Rhea. Yeah. So you're not going to do all of these title defenses in the meantime because nobody believes anybody's going to beat live until then. Um, so I get that part of it, but I don't understand not actually building up contenders, because this is kind of what hurt Rhea a little bit, is that you weren't building up anybody in that division that felt like a plausible contender. And now when you're finished with this live and Rhea stuff, there aren't going to be any contenders for either of them. And they've got it, they got to change that. So I hope that, you know, they do something with that soon. Currently SmackDown is really the place for women's wrestling. And there isn't a match for Bailey here, but this was also the problem with setting up the Queen of the Ring and King of the Ring winner as the match for SummerSlam. Because now you had two pay per views in between there, where you kind of need somebody to shout out for those belts and now you're not doing that. And so it's a hard choice, but it, um, it doesn't make sense with live. The thing that's confusing to me is because like with Rhea, it made sense. She's a big presence. She had came into being the champion as dominating. She had the amazing match with Charlotte. Like her thing is like, if you get into the ring with, with Rhea, she's probably going to kick your ass. Liv's story is not that she's like a believable, beatable champion, like essentially anybody that's in there has a chance with her. So they could just tell, continuously tell that story with her as champion, but they're not even giving her the opportunity to tell the story. When did they, was the, the Zelina match that was for the title? Why didn't they just put that? They keep trying to stick to this five match show thing, man. I'll get it. Um, but yeah, some of those, uh, some of those Becky takes have not aged well. I'll say that. Some of those Becky takes about her and the division and her holding people back have aged very badly, um, because when you just let them roam free, you see exactly what's like. Oh yeah. No, Becky's actually the glue that's holding this together. Oh, who would have thought that Becky is a star, big star, huge star. That's why they kept pushing her and making her time champion because she's a massive star and you can do any, you could do ready, made Matt, like you could just announce a Becky Lynch title match and it's going to be fine without the much story. Like you can't, they can't announce a match for live today and it would make sense because that's not the type of wrestler that she is. Yeah. Uh, so we've got, uh, the Money in a Bank ladder match, uh, the men's match, um, will be J.U. So Carmelo Hayes, uh, Andrade, Chad Gable, L.A. Knight and Drew McIntyre. Um, I'm back and forth one. I kind of feel like Drew's probably going to win this. Um, I know some people want J to win. And, but for me, I just think the concept works better as a heel, um, story device, flat device. Um, and it, it can work for a baby face, but I just don't think that J needs it. That's where I'm landing. I don't know it drew has way more stories to tell as holding the briefcase. J is over as hell, but like what, what is his story? Like who's he going to cash in and what, what? There's nothing really built in there. It'll just be because he's over, which I understand. And that is a way they couldn't get him to the championship in any other way previously to that. And this would be the way to get him there, but he's had title matches. He had a title match right after WrestleMania. Yeah. Oh, he did. Yeah. That doesn't make any sense. That's why I'm like, why does he need to briefcase to then get a title match? He's had title matches. He had title matches against Roman, and he had a title match right after WrestleMania. He's my least, my least likely choice on this actually at this point. He's not my least likely choice, but I just don't, I don't think that he should win. And he doesn't need it, like you said, he's already over and he gets the title matches without the briefcase. He doesn't need it. And everything I've seen of him in main event matches, summer slam main event was not good. The Drew match that they just had at Backlash wasn't great, the Jimmy match at WrestleMania wasn't good. Oh God. So yeah, it's like even if he like he can't cash in because you can't be world champion because you can't carry main events. I don't, I don't, I just don't see it in him to carry that belt. You're asking then of him to cash in and be the main champion overall. I just don't see that. And so I think it's going to be Drew, and if it's not Drew, I think there's a very good chance that Chad Gable is a good dark horse because they've already set the precedent that you could use the briefcase to cash in on a mid-card title. And if we follow the logic from Clash of Castle, Sammy has told him I'm not giving you another match. And I could very much see Sammy struggling and eking out a win against Brian Breaker finishing that match and getting cashed in by Chad Gable. Oh, would you think that a screw with the prestige cashing in for the mid-card title? I think some people, of course, are not going to like it, but I think that it's plausible. Personally, I think that it's probably going to be true, but I would think that the Wyatt six are going to cost Chad. Yeah, I would mind the Chad Gable story, like especially if this is a vehicle to add him in with the Cree, like if the Cree come out there and beat down Sammy, and then he comes in and cashes in on him, that makes a lot of sense. That is a good story. But yeah, my heart says Drew though, it should be Drew, but you know, sometimes you just shouldn't make that choice there, like they want to make it complicated. I think the time to give LA night the briefcase was last year and they whiffed on it. So I don't see them doing it this year. It seems like he's destined to have that Logan Paul match at SummerSlam. Good for him though. He's still super over. Like he's going to get big pops in this match, but I don't think it's his time. What did you think of him and Jay's little yeet and he out from SmackDown? Yeet and he out. It was a thing that happened, I was like, alright, I guess we're doing that. Yeah, but I don't see any night or Carmelo or somebody. No, sorry, no, no, you're going to have a good big spot, big moments in that, but not the victory. Yeah, but I think Melo can be a good briefcase winner someday. I think like currently I could see him winning it. I just think it's too early. Yeah, and I mean, he's shown he had the charisma to do that. He'll be a good briefcase holder. Yeah, because he essentially did it with the breakout tournament contract, so maybe someday. I just don't see it this year. On the women's side, we've got EO Sky, Chelsea Green, Lyra Valkeria, Tiffany Stratton, Naomi, and Zoe Stark in the running. Wow, this is missing money in the bank. Way different than the men's one. I want to say, it's tiffy time, but I think it is tiffy time. Yeah, right. I think Tiffany's winning. I think that that's why they're building up the stuff with Nia as well. I think it's tiffy time. Yeah, we got, we got to follow up. You made the homegirl that post videos without listening to the audio? Yeah. Follow up of the Tiffany Stratton debacle from earlier this year. Shout out to Adrian, he asked in a press junket about the IG clip, and her official answers that it was an accident. It was a mistake. She didn't hear the audio, and it was up for a few seconds, and she immediately took it down, maybe I don't really understand the punch line of that video. I don't understand what makes it funny if you don't have the audio to it, because it's just you giving her a form and not kind of apron. People are like, oh, the Anka's face is what's funny. When you posted, my thing is she posted it to Instagram, which means that's an effort to get the clip posted by that when you post on Instagram, it gives you like three opportunities to hear and see what you're posting. Three opportunities. When I post a video, it's like, hey, are you sure you want to do this? And then you go on, it's like, do you want to add anything? All those times, it's the audio's playing. So yeah, you let it go by five fucking times you didn't hear the audio? I can't. No. Sorry. Yeah. I don't know. But I just make the time that they've had to let this die down. She was off TV for a little bit after her queen of the ring. Then she came back, got Big Pop at a Madison Square Garden. Fans are still very much into her. Well, yeah, the live cause. I don't care about that. Yeah. So I think Tiffany's still winning here. I think Chelsea would be a good option as well. I think character wise, she has a lot of similarities to Carmelo coming into this that she can have a similar kind of run with that briefcase if she, if they want it to do that. Does our home girl Naomi have any kind of dog in this fight? I would love to see Naomi win. I think there's precedent for it. I think there's a good story you could tell. Because they've been telling the story with Bayley and stuff throughout the last couple months. Yeah. I would really like to see that, but I do feel like Tiffany's winning. But you know, I wouldn't be mad at it. I think like the rest of this field, it really kind of feels like it's in between three women here. It's really probably Naomi, Tiffany or Chelsea Green. I can't really see EO winning two years in a row. I wouldn't think so. I don't see Zoe winning. Lyra's had a good little run on the main ladder. She could. That could be a dark horse one. I wouldn't be super surprised if she came down with that briefcase. Yeah. I do like it's a little bit wider field than the men's because the men's is like, it's either Drew or fucking Jay at this point. Somebody in our chat said something that I absolutely think happened. Who was it? What happened? I definitely think that probably was something passed around in their group chat and then she shared it without thinking. I think that's probably exactly what happened. I would not be surprised if that happened. She's laughing at. She laughed in the group chat about it and was like, yeah. And then she was like, oh, I can't take it out of the group chat yet. I would not be surprised if that's what happened, but you know, could have just apologized. Way easier. Exactly. This was a mistake and, you know, I apologize for a mistake, but doing that. I don't know. I'm 25. I don't know how to use Internet. All right, lady. I don't. Yeah. I'm really buying that. But that leads me to even more to believe why she's going to win. They're like, oh, she's racist. Perfect, that's just how we like them. Sammy Davis is probably a little chaffy and shit. Who could go either way? I think that Sammy is probably going to retain here. I think Brian has got a lot of momentum coming into this match. Why are they given? If Brian's not going over, why are they giving him this already? Yeah, that's what I wondered as well, because it's pretty soon. Because it feels like I feel the same way. Like I think Sam's going to go over and I think that I think they're the story they're going to start telling with Brian is he's too excited. He gets to like, he lets his emotions take him over the edge, like he'll get disqualified or something for going too far. He's going to play that type of role. But it's also like, what if he just beat Sammy's name? Yeah. I don't know. Could he? He could, right? Listen, leave me alone with this tiffy stuff, and I'll chat with you. It's just, it's layered to this that I keep seeing them like, yeah, they know what they're doing. You know exactly what they're doing. But yeah, now I think Sammy's going to retain here. And like I said, I would not be surprised if this leads to Chad Gable either winning the briefcase or getting another match, because I don't think that they're done with that storyline. Which McCall is at the beginning of next month, right? SummerSlam? It's like August 2nd or something, right? So that's not that far away. And I feel like August 3rd, I think, August 30th. I feel like Sammy Zayn being intercontinental champion at SummerSlam makes more sense than Braun Baker being intercontinental champion. Yeah. You know, it could be like this big massive upset. Maybe you're going to come out here and squash Sammy and he's going to be our new champion. That could happen. I wouldn't be surprised at all if that happened. He became in and just spear, spear, spear and killed him. Yeah. Yeah. We'll see. I think that's right. Currently Sammy is my pick to win. Yeah. We've got the big sick band tag match, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens taking on the bloodline, which would be Solosicoa, Tomatanga, and I believe Jacob. I think Jake's in the spot. Yeah. But currently it just says any three members. But I would assume that Jacob's probably going to be in the mix. This will be his first official match, I'd assume. Yeah. I think bloodline's winning here to set up the SummerSlam match. And Cody is probably eating a pin. Good for Cody. You think they're going to do the one-on-one of him and solo? Yes. I think that's where we're going, buddy. I think just because I didn't believe that at one point, but everything they've been building since Madison Square Garden, it tells me that it's probably going to be solo. Even after Clash of Castle and well, at Clash of Castle when Cody won and solo came out immediately. Yeah. Now the way that they've been presenting solo and his energy, especially like how they ended the show this week and last week, like, yeah, feels like he'll probably be the one. Based off the promo this week, I am firmly in the belief of what I thought before that solo is going to lose this SummerSlam. And as soon as that's over, we're going to hit, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do. Roman's going to come back and retain his spot because, you know, you got your chance. You lost. You talked all that shit and you lost. And Roman's going to come back for a spot, which is going to lead to probably the Survivor Series match. That's fun. But that also makes sense that because I thought maybe they were going to run back Cody Roman at SummerSlam, but making, looking at it now, Roman not coming back and losing. He's coming back and getting the big baby face pops. SummerSlam is where he debuted the Tribal Chief character as well. Coming back in to another loss after you just lost that Manny in that. He's coming back and getting a big pot and he's going to come back and wreck everything in the belief. Yep. It's going to be a fucking massive pop. Oh my God. Yeah. Just the way solo is talking like, all right, well, this is mine now. If he wants it, he's got to come and take it for me. Yeah. That's where we're leading in. I have to assume that we're leading to Randy versus Cody somewhere down the line as well. They've been steadily planning all the seeds between Cody and Randy. Mm-hmm. Well, yeah. Good for the bullm on. They're going to get a big victory tonight. I think they need this victory right now to kind of submit the new bloodline, you know? Yeah. And I'm assuming, which will be our main event, will be what they're building at the last chance match, which is interesting. Damian Priest will be defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins. The stipulation is that if Rollins loses, he cannot challenge Priest for the belt again as long as he's champion. But if Rollins wins, Damian Priest has to leave the Judgment Day. This could go either way. I think he stipulates and has a lot to it because I think it felt a little bit pretty predictable before the stipulation. And then I think Seth is winning, man. Just based off-- I wouldn't think so. I'm like, I can't see Seth losing here, but because based on the SummerSlam match, because you've given us two options now, at one point, you gave us maybe Drew winning, and I'm not interested in Damian versus Gunther at SummerSlam as I am in Drew versus Gunther at SummerSlam. What about Drew wins the briefcase and caches in same night tonight? That's possible, but Gunther is already earmarked for the SummerSlam match because he can't get a ring. Right. And they've been telling us in so many words that Punk is getting the SummerSlam match. Yeah. So I can't imagine that Drew is going to win a championship here. I think we're still getting Drew as SummerSlam, and I have to assume whoever is facing Gunther. Personally to me, Seth versus Gunther sounds like a better match. Same. And it's not to say that Damian can't have a good match there, but just the story that they've been leading to for almost a year with Gunther and all this stuff, just aesthetically those two standing across from each other, that's the match up. And it feels like they've been telling imploding Judgment Day type story anyways. Like it feels like his SummerSlam match, Damian Priest would be some kind of Judgment Day tag team or some kind of thing, you know, or some one-on-one against Finn or something. Doesn't feel like he's going to go on against World Champion against Gunther. Yeah. I could see Judgment Day trying to help Damian win this match, and he's like, "I don't need your help." And then he ends up losing, and then they come out there and beat him down and kick him out of the group once and for him. So I, right now- I feel like Seth, yeah, Seth was winning here. Same here. And then we're heading to Seth Gunther at SummerSlam, which says way more appealing than Gunther and Priest. It's way more appealing, and Seth is Mr. SummerSlam, that's kind of his event, yeah. I think Seth's winning here. Yeah. It's going to be a good match though. Yeah. You know, five match cards, shortened to the point. Should be an easy one. Should be an easy one. I do think they short-changed the women here. I hate that there aren't any women's title matches on this card, especially you had Bianca and Jay come out last night and say, "We're gunning for those tag titles." All right. Why didn't you just put a tag title match on this paper? That's why this whole shortened match card, five match thing, it's like, for some, it's great. So some matches get extra time, and even though they don't, some angles get better time to develop even though they don't. They should add more matches because some people all have to deal with it like the women in this case. Yeah. I mean, you're in one breath telling us that you don't have enough matches for this card, so it's five matches, but then you're telling us next year we have so many matches that we need tonight. I don't really understand that, but okay. Every time they announce a two night thing, I'm like, "Huh?" But you only want to do five match shows, though. Why are you? I don't really understand that. It's probably going to be like two seven match cards, if I had to guess next year. Yeah. In Indiana? Fundimes. So. Money in the bank is tonight, though, and again, I'm going to be on what Denise on the post-show later. Let's see. Yeah. People got announced that Toronto native Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will be the host of tonight's show. Makes a lot of sense. Maybe she's going to help Zoey win. Maybe. Maybe. She still got beef with Zoey? Maybe. Well, no. Actually, as a matter of fact, yeah, because Zoey actually jumped her. So. Yeah. Maybe. Yeah. Sure. She's going to be looking great on there. Last night, we got some confusion with Jay Uso. He was on IG, talking about somebody getting me Drake's phone number. And so people were wondering if he was having problems getting into Toronto and then on the show, Drew and B.D. was like, "How did you even get into Toronto?" It's very funny because Jay had put that out a few days ago and somebody was like, "Well, is he talking about like, not like us, like, get Drake some help, but no, he's talking about like getting into the country." I think. Yeah. Right. Cutting the promo where he targeted everybody that was in the field. It felt very CM Punk-like. That's super CM Punk-like. Yeah. That's something he would do. I mean, he did that in a Royal Rumble years ago, like, then playing up these parallels between him and Punk are very good, but I'm just, I'm ready to get to the match at this point. They've been building to this match for so long, just get to the match. There's a chance that Punk does screw him. We don't want it, but there is a chance that he does screw him tonight. There is a chance that he's climbing that ladder and Punk pushes it over. Yeah. I personally don't want them to do that, but I wouldn't be surprised just based on the back and forth that they've been doing. If Punk takes out Drew and Wyatt Six takes out Gable, have fun, Jay. They didn't kind of progress, program us though, shout out to them. Yeah. I believe we have some more Super Chats and Humper Chaps and we're going to get out of you. Yep. Hey, what's over there says, you guys think AEW could reheat Ricky Starks for a match against Pack on all end? I think that's possible. I'm very curious to see what Ricky does when he comes back. Ricky got into it with somebody on Wednesday and I from before I was like, what even happened here? And as somebody that enjoys laughing at things, I got a good laugh at it. Good chuckle. Yeah. But yeah, I think they could, Ricky Starks says I always talk about, talk about, he could do two or three promos and he's right back to exactly where he was. Yeah. He's always going to be able to heat himself up. Talkers usually have a better time of heating themselves up. That'll be fine. And people love Ricky Starks, he's still fucking over. People want him to get an opportunity. So it wouldn't be hard to do that. Yeah. And I would like to see him on the Wembley card. I don't know if the pack matches the one, but something, something. I like to see him doing something. And then I last super proud of the days from Killers 360Z who says Tiffany got to invest in better PR, lying answer machine. My eight year old cousin said cap at her answer. And that guy thinks Spider-Man is real. Dang. You couldn't even fool his eight year old? Yeah. His young cousin was like, no, I don't believe that shit. Appreciate you guys for all the super tests today. Appreciate you guys for all the support today, man. Y'all are cool. And he said, she's definitely telling the tale. Again, her duck tail's off. See, we got one last humper chat from Wager. He says, good day. Grapsey Fellows going to be weird. Not having the Yano upset match of the year, but got some interesting match ups. And this year's G1. I hope exactly say Virginia gets the win. Also, the two young fellas got in at the Kesta and LP are both in a B block. The table spot was great. I'm excited for the Kesta. I think he can really go a long way in here. Yeah. Very interested to see what he does in the tournament. Very interested to see how far LP goes. LP has just turned out to be like one of the best baby faces they got over there in the short amount of time. So very excited to see how well he does in the G1 this year. That is all of our humper chats. That's it. That's everything. As usual, I appreciate you guys. Sorry we both kind of started this episode in Downerville. But as I was saying last week, this getting older thing and other people around you don't come along for the ride at some point and less and less people, it's just like the life montage is like the people just started vanishing on you. It's like you keep getting these wins and you're celebrating, you're getting older and then all this other crazy stuff's kind of happening attached to it. It's like, "Damn man, it's a lot to deal with." But people like everybody here and our chat supporters and friends are helping us through. So it's dope. Appreciate y'all for reals for coming through. Happy Saturday. Appreciate y'all for all the kind messages on the internet. It's just like a really cool support system to have. So thank you. Yeah. Thanks for all the support we've got on the Vena interview as well. Super duh. Appreciate you guys. Appreciate anybody that I saw over the weekend and said hello. Always cool seeing people out and about. But you know what it is? This has been Grapsody. I'm Phil Linty, just right to the bridge. We're out of here. Why wear a seatbelt? The math speaks for itself. You have a one in 40 chance of being in a crash this year, but wearing a seatbelt reduces your risk of serious harm by 50%. Their rollover crash more than three out of five deaths are from those who weren't wearing theirs. Seatbelts save lives, over 370,000 in fact. Most passengers killed in crashes weren't buckled up. Nobody is above the laws of physics. Buckle up and shift into safe. A message from the Colorado Department of Transportation.
