(bright music) - Hello and thank you so much for joining us for your SmackDown post show for July 5th. Happy belated Independence Day to everybody who is joining tonight. We thank you so much for joining us. We've got Sean Ross app in the house. We've got Alex Cardoza in the chat. Are you in the chat? - Wow, with the disrespect. I am still in the chat though. I am in the chat. - You always are in the chat actually, but we have all these wonderful people. - Now I can take his ass to the chat, have up there and just get it picked out. - This is my last night at Fight for Friends. Thank you. She just said it. - You just got Paul Heyman brother. We just put you through a table. You're out of here, but what I was gonna say is everybody here in the chat could do us a great favor by leaving us a thumbs up on this video. Very much helps us. Haven't done this. Haven't bugged you guys to subscribe to this YouTube channel in a while. So if you're not subscribed, stay alert. We've got a lot of content, especially this weekend. Holy cow, so much coming up. So many pay per views in this world, but we also invite you to get in your super chats and your humper chats. We've got Sean here. If you have any questions, we've got some extra notes on tonight's show as well. But before we dive into that, despite me trying to kick him to the chat, I'm gonna check in and ask Alex Cardoza how he's doing. Alex, how are you? - I'm a little heartbroken. I don't feel right. I think I just shed it here. - But I'll say to that, thank you, Chad, for uplifting me. I am part of you and you are part of me. - We appreciate that you're keeping it professional here. - I got clangles out tonight, baby. Let's go. - You do, you do. It's the fifth of July, man. Let's do it. - What a sweat. (both laughing) - Five minute window, Sean. Five minute window, but we do have Sean Ross app here. And he's gonna tell you about a couple of scoops. He's gonna tell you all about our scoops, the red that we had on FightfulSelect.com. But before we dig into that, the big news from this episode, other than Sean boxing through his victory laugh over here, we got new tag team champions in DIY. Very happy to see this. Huge Gargant, no fan myself. He came back in Toronto. It was a really special moment. Didn't do a whole heck of a lot with him in the beginning. Long dirty on this tag run with Tomasso Champa. Very happy to see them get to the top of the mountain. Kinda surprised this didn't make the pay-per-view myself, but Sean, any context that you wanna give us for this big tag team victory that we got tonight? 'Cause I'm excited. - Yeah, what I like is that Johnny Gargano, obviously in less than a month, will be heading home to Cleveland, SummerSlam, big time deal. And what I respect about WWE is they are honoring the tradition of Cleveland, where they can have their hometown guy lose his championship in front of Cleveland fans so they can be just as disappointed in early August as they're gonna be in September, October, November, December. And probably not January, 'cause they're gonna be out of the play-off race by then. That's the big scoop. That's why I showed up here. Cleveland sucks. Let's see. - Johnny Gargano, Johnny Manziel does the better. Ooh, just Johnny. - How funny is it? Johnny wrestling lasted a hell of a lot longer than Johnny football. - Probably wouldn't football too, honestly. But getting those different jets and the humper jets. - Sincerely, I mean, I'm very happy for Johnny and Tommaso. I've done media with them multiple times in the past and they were really wonderful. Really liked to doing that. And Johnny just known as one of the great guys in wrestling and Champa told me in an interview that we just released this week from actually a couple months ago, he wasn't sure they would ever team again. Like he was like, man, after that last breakup, I wasn't sure that would ever happen. Then when Johnny left, I really wasn't sure it was gonna happen. And he was very happy that it did. Now, what's interesting is as of a couple of weeks ago, there wasn't even like a firm date for this match set. They assumed it would be around this weekend, but there was not a firm date for this tag title match set. And I was kind of holding off on that Champa interview to release, you know, as to promote it and all that. Speaking of, we dropped interviews with a very short ones with Tiffany Stratton, Carmelo Hayes today here on the channel. L.A. Knight will be coming as soon as Joel Pearl's able to get some internet. That one is really good. He asks if L.A. Knight peed in Logan Paul's pool, which I'm just saying there wasn't a no. There wasn't a no given on that one. But among the other things that we had, SmackDown, we didn't just have the match order and backstage news and stuff, because money in the bank is tomorrow. I was like, well, we might as well go ahead and post the producers and stuff like that for this. Michael Hayes was not listed as a producer tonight, which is interesting 'cause usually he produces everything bloodline contingent, everything. Instead tonight, Jason Jordan did the segment with Cody, K.O., and Orton. We saw that segment towards the end where after all this time, solo finally admitted, he seized leadership. It wasn't like a conversation. He seized leadership and Roman Reigns could come take it from him if he wanted. So that was a good answer. I might have some good bloodline contingent news coming to Fightful Select in the coming days. So $5 will get you that. It'll get you the money in the bank scoops thread. I'm gonna have news, I'm gonna have a lot of contract news soon. A whole lot. We had the Daniel Garcia stuff this week. We had the Osprey Swerve news this week. Just a ton of stuff over there. I can't even begin to go through all of it. $5 a month gets you that and access to our Discord, where I'm there chatting all the time. Corey Brennan drops the news today. While Julia was at one point considered for NXT Heatwave, not the case, Mary Gold told him she's gonna be there with them this weekend. Now, I do sit there from an outside perspective and go interesting that they would be so willing to say that. Maybe a video or something runs, but we don't know that as of yet. But a whole lot coming to Fightful Select, especially by the way of contract still. Just a ton of stuff there. And man, they filmed some speed stuff tonight. They had some dark matches. There were just a ton of raw talent that were there because they were already brought in for media and all that stuff. So lots of people, more people backstage at this SmackDown than usual. - We have some super chats and humper chats that have come in. Thank you so much. Keep sending those as Sean alluded to. Huge contract here. Get the accurate news and the most news on FightfulSelect.com, but bad robot saying hello favorite post show. Well, hello, lovely Roomba yourself. But the PLE is moving to five match cards. Do you think we'll start to see two, three with men's and women's matches for some variety? I play my GM in 2K, it's possible. It's a good question. What do you think, Sean? - When you say two, three, what does he mean? Like, what do they mean? - Are we guessing like two women's, three men's? - Yeah, I would expect that. I think sometimes you're gonna see three women's, two men's as well. I think that's absolutely something that's going to happen. I have grown to really like the five match PLEs because I think that it disperses a lot of very important matches on Raw and SmackDown. That's why I do wish AEW would do that. I mean, I just wish they'd scale back to eight. Just eight would do it for them. And then if you need to add-- - Not 14 would be great, yeah. - 15 was last week, I believe, 'cause they added Kyle Fletcher match. Which-- - They did. - Which, you know what, when I'm talking about that, I think that's good. They did it because his family was there watching and he just wanted on the card. But also, I thought it was kind of good to have him do all of his cool moves. The same night that he was gonna be in the closing shot of the pay-per-view. So I didn't necessarily hate that. But I've grown to like these five match or five match PLEs, especially when you've got two premium matches like Money in the Bank that can now go 20, 25 minutes. These matches have a lot more room to breathe. And then as a result, these big intercontinental title matches and women's title matches that would normally be relegated to six, seven minutes on a PLE, now get a premium spot highlighted on Raw or SmackDown as well, which I think is really great. But I've been a fan of it. - My sweet spot is like six or seven, but I gotta say when they are in other parts of the world and it's a five match card and we're done by like eight o'clock, I'm not complaining. I'm not complaining over here, but we get a Humbertapp from Fancher saying, as someone who had two transient ischemic attacks, coming back so quick is amazing. It basically resets your body stamina. It is difficult to recover from quickly. Had my first at 28 and my second at 35. Well, we're just happy that you're okay, but that was a big reveal on this week's episode of Dynamite. I thought it was very cool that she was that vulnerable with what happened with her because they kept saying she wasn't medically cleared. They didn't so much say that she was injured or anything like that and for her to kind of open up about that. I thought it was great, Sean, if you had any other thoughts or else I wanted to jump in. - So if I will select today, we had our Q&A and somebody asked like, what was the status around that? Was it kept like a secret? It was kind of known within some circles in wrestling and stuff, but like it's, obviously not something that I'm gonna break. That's her story to tell, but it wasn't known specifically that type of attack. It was something related to a possible stroke. And that is hers to put out there. And I also had mentioned this. I wanna say like back in January or something, like has Brit Baker rubbed a few people the wrong way? Yeah, I mean, the reality show, I think a lot of people bought into that a little bit too much. But a thing that I said was if people had any idea of the things that Brit Baker had been through and overcome, and I'm not just talking about this. I'm talking about other stuff that never made it out there. I'm talking about the way that a lot of people treated her because she was the first woman signed by AEW. They would understand why she's got her guard up so much. And I understand why that woman has her guard up so much. Everybody's got their nose in her business, her private life, all that stuff as well. And man, that can take a toll on you. I'm just glad to see her back and see her healthy. She looks awesome and man, it is an immediate return. And where she left off last year, it was absence makes the heart grow fonder. She overcame an awful lot of things very fortunately. We're so glad that she's still even able to wrestle. But it's a marquee match for all in now. Like it's so great, so great. Yeah, she came back and we were off to the races. Really great to see, really great to see for her. But for Carter saying at work, hi SRS, Kate and Alexis, hi chat. Well, thank you so much for the kind words. We appreciate you Matt saying DIY or tag champions. Let's freaking go. They earned it and deserve it. Yes, they did. I was very happy to see this journey for them. Before the draft, I fought them beating our truth. And the Miz was a possibility 'cause you got Cleveland and Cleveland right there. I wasn't looking forward to this long of a Miz and Truth reign. But I thought that was a possibility. I'm just glad that we have that here. I am kind of surprised that it happened on SmackDown and not the PLE though, Sean. Any thoughts about that? No, I think for largely the reason that I had outlined earlier, I think that's why they wanted something big on this SmackDown. They had 17,000 people there. Like it couldn't just be a Cody Orton, you know, whatever promo. I mean, also for those that don't know, they filmed, let's see, Tegan Knox versus Blair Davenport as a pre-show match. I think they had Angelo Dawkins, Baron Corbin. But after the show, Gable and Sami Zayn are having a match, Naomi and EO Skye, which, you know, that's great and all. But if you're gonna have 17,000 people there for SmackDown on a weekend like this, I think they're doing what I have long thought a lot of other companies should do on these TVs the night before PLEs. And that's make people go, oh, I gotta go to that when I'm in town for the PLE or the pay-per-view. I need to be there for collision. I need to be there for SmackDown. I need to hang around the extra day and go to Raw after Mania, all that stuff. I think that's part of the conditioning of what they're doing, which is, I think, important. And also, obviously, their history with Toronto is great because they ain't getting it done in Cleveland. (laughing) - Guys, get in your super chats and your home per chats. We've got Sean here for a couple more minutes if there's anything you wanna ask him about, but D&C Digital, making our job easy today, Sean, saying check out that online. I'm gonna tell you all about them in a second, but I bet Chelsea, I know Jay is the favorite, but I feel the briefcase is an unnecessary addition to the upcoming bloodline story. BifillSelect.com, Alex Polowski had some pretty brilliant booking about why that could be a really fun thing. I don't think it's gonna happen 'cause it involves Cody losing the title, but Yeet in the Bank does seem to be the favorite, but let's check it with Sean 'cause I think he might know our odds better than anyone over there. Thanks for being online. - Since our partnership with BetOnline started in December, we've given nine underdog lock picks, and I gotta say, they've done a lot better about setting their odds since then. (laughing) But right now, Chelsea is a plus 110 underdog, which in pro wrestling, if you can get Tiffany, there's Tiffany Stratton at a minus 200 favorite, and Chelsea Green at a plus 110 underdog. Man, you could, those are two pretty good bets. Those are by two favorites right there, and they're the closest on the lines there. Jey Uso's a minus 175 favorite at BetOnline AG. Drew McIntyre was the favorite earlier this week. He slid into a plus 150 underdog. There's also some great prop bets that they're working on. We'll see him punk interfere in the men's money in the bank match. That is favored right now. So if you think that's gonna happen or if you think that Drew's gonna win and cash in as he claims he is, well, I mean, technically you would win that bet if punk didn't interfere in money in the bank and ended up screwing him out of the match later. There were even odds for Braun Breaker and Sami Zayn. Braun Breaker has since pushed into a very healthy favorite to win the Intercontinental title. Bloodline are big favorites, big favorites. Interesting note, I had mentioned Jacob Fatou and his inability in the past to get into Canada. Did we see him physically in Canada today? Was he on the show? - No. - That could be something to look out for 'cause I don't know yet what the combination is gonna be tomorrow. - I felt like when I was in school and a teacher called on me and I was like, I feel like I know the answer, but I feel like I'm being accused over here. - I'm just saying, I don't know yet. I don't know what the combination is. I don't know if they've overcome that. I mean, obviously Jey Uso is able to get back in and his issues are far more recent, although also far less serious than Jacob Fatou. But also, maybe he's got some pull in situations like that over under on one and a half ladders being broken. The favorite right now on BetOnline AG is over and the favorite on the women's money in the bank is at least one ladder being broken, over 0.5. Damien Priest, Seth Rollins, we had mentioned today on the Fightful Select Discord. That as of this week was expected to go last and Damien Priest is favored to win that. Another bet there at BetOnline AG where you can bet on wrestling, Roman Reigns is not favored to appear. He's a plus 170 underdog after he has finally been mentioned directly by Solo Sakoa. So BetOnline AG, my friends, check that out. And it's not just wrestling, it's golf, it's soccer or football, whatever the hell you wanna call it before you all, you know, tie me to the railroad tracks over that. Baseball, MMA, all kinds of stuff, but yeah. - Do they have this one for you? What's the over-under on Drake recovering after Kendrick dropped the music video 'cause, whoof? - I mean, listen, Drake has already dropped his response and everybody was like, lame, corny. And then Kendrick has went number one as many times in this feud as he did his whole career prior. And one of those was with Taylor Swift. So I mean, this cast a light where anybody who ever listened to Kendrick Lamar knows he's one of the greatest of all time, but this has really cast a light on him in a mainstream perspective where people are like, yeah, Drake is kind of corny. He is pretty corny, isn't he? He does kind of suck, doesn't he? Wow, Kendrick Lamar is way better, huh? And then he dropped that music video and it was all over. He's in there dancing with his wife, fiancee and kid, it's all over, it's all over. It's done for him. Mead Orbis asking something I'm intrigued about too, the looming max price increase. Well, we see an announcement soon about the TV deal. - I think within the next couple months, people got to remember this. The deal runs through the end of the year. A lot of people for some reason think that that deal is up in October 'cause that's when Dynamite started, but that's not what happened. Dynamite was almost like a week-to-week thing and then they got that big deal for them in January after all that, which, perfect timing for them because the pandemic started right after that. But, yeah, I don't think they're unnecessarily like a big hurry. Here's an interesting one. I posted a tweet today with a screenshot from the Daily Mail about how Ari Emanuel, Mark Shapiro of CEO and Nick Khan were at the Fanatics White Party, the annual White Party Party in the Hamptons. Guess who else was there? Tony Khan, Shag Khan, David Zazlav of WBD. I like to think there was some sort of like Anchorman-style standoff there. Logan Paul on the W.B. side. Drew Ski on the AEW side. - That's it. - Drew Ski to AEW is almost a thing too, for those that don't even know who the hell he is. He's very funny, but that's interesting. I've been trying to find out more about that one all day and nobody's willing to talk about the White Party. I guess what goes on there stays there. - That's it. Or maybe you were right. Maybe it was a bloodbath. Maybe there wasn't Anchorman. Somebody got killed with a trident. - Everybody that I raised out to is no longer there. - I was literally going to say that. - Yeah, that's it. Well, $2 for Alex's Clavicle. Show up before you get out of here. We'll check it out, Alex. Who are your favorites for Money in the Bank? I'm going Tiffy and Drew. That's where I'm headed. - I'm going Tiffy and Jay. - Yeah, I'm going Tiffy and Jay as well. - All right. Well, there you go, Sean. Thank you so much for joining us and reminders to subscribe to Fightful Select. You got me and Alex Pulaski behind there doing Paywall. PLE post shows say that 10 times fast. If you want to catch us over there, I'm sure there'll be more scoops and more stories coming out on FightfulSelect.com. Of course, Eminem showing up at ROH this week, more contract news coming up this week. Gonna see what ricochet is up to. A lot, lot, lot happening. So head over to FightfulSelect.com. Get it accurate. Get the most possible news you can get. - Don't accept aggregators, my friends. The number, and listen, aggregators have a great spot in wrestling and a great, great use in wrestling. But, man, I can't tell you how important it is to get the news directly from the source. Five little bucks, five little bucks. You kidding me? Five little bucks, six years. We have not increased the price of FightfulSelect. - You wouldn't expect, wow. - Look, Jimmy's tried to get me to. I said, no. I said, no. He goes, Sean, you'll make more. I said, I don't care. I don't give a who is what I said. Also, this weekend, FightfulTurns, eight years old, we officially turned eight at midnight. We did our first stream, July 6th, 2016. - That's me. - And that week was one of the craziest weeks possible. So at that time, we covered MMA and wrestling evenly. That week, Brock Lesnar returned to the UFC. John Jones got popped for a USADA violation. Anderson Silva stepped up to face Daniel Cormier on short notice. There was UFC 200. WWE was like, yep, we're gonna do a brand split for the first time in years. The final deletion premiered that week. - Wow. - And then- - She is. - The UFC was like, hey, by the way, we just sold our entire company. It was very wild. I just wanna say thank you to all of you who have supported us and all that. We're constantly adding and trying to expand. I want you guys to check out FightfulScraps. We got Giz Berto doing more work over there with thumbnails and titles and stuff like that. I really want our clips channel to take off. But more than anything, guys, just thank you. We've got a ton of content this week. Saturday, there's gonna be a preview show on Fightful Select. Of course, there's Grapsody that's here on Fightful. I'll have a post show with Weeezy, now world famous Weeezy. Then behind the paywall, Kate and Alex are live on Fightful Select. Then on Sunday, they're back doing the Heatwave post show. - Look at that. - Then on Monday, it's me and Denise doing the raw show. There's just so much. So much. - We are loaded. Hey, never feel bad about this. We're glad that you found out about us in general and are hanging out in our chat. - Whoa. - I'll say, why three years? - This is the first time I've heard of Figful as well. (laughing) - Don't feel too bad. - This is the first time I've heard of Thunder Sky dancer, but my fear anniversary is-- - There's 22 cents a day, my friends. That's all you need. - That's right, what the hell you're struggling? - I'd say, what can you get for 17 cents a day? What can you go to the store and get for 17 cents? - Think about that. - Like maybe one of those like, biddo-hunnies or something? A tootsie roll, maybe. - What'd I get? I get thrown out of the store for asking for something for 17 cents. - There you go. - Thunder Sky dancer, I know. We love you. Thank you so much. - We're being extremely silly. - As we are prone to do in our eight-year history here, but my three-year anniversary coming up, I'm so excited about it. I can't imagine a better place to do this in large part because of Sean, even though his reds just swept my yankie, so we're just gonna kick 'em on it. (laughing) - Then this could go to the either by the way, so. - Yeesh, but guys, let's finally get into the SmackDown review. We always appreciate it when Sean stops by and gives you a little scoop skis, give you a little chance to ask some questions. You can do that. I'm the Fightful Select Discord whenever you want to, by the way. There's a whole channel for it, as well as Sean's Q&A show, and my goodness, what a summer it's been. I'm telling you, there is even more contract news than OMG is even on your mind right now. There is so much happening right now, but some more love from you, Vantuimblades, bangs, bangs, gang. Vantuimblades up, well, thank you so much. But let's get into this episode of SmackDown. It was very go-homey, Alex. I find us saying that once every three weeks or so, because it's a go-home once every three weeks or so, so I felt like the second hour was definitely stronger than the first hour. I now assume we're going to be getting a revolving door promo whenever we get money in the bank, but I gotta say, DIY is champs. I don't really care about anything else. I'm so excited about Johnny Gargano having gold again, as well as Tomasso Champa. Makes me very, very happy. What were your overall thoughts tonight? - You mentioned it very home. I mean, we say this every month, right? Something always feels, I mean, the last one that we spoke about, we said, okay, there was some go-homingness to it, but it felt strong, not this one, my friends. I mean, part, the due part, because you know, like, I mean, all the stories are kind of like, you know, crazy right now, you can't start anything new. Everyone's on these long-form stories as of late on SmackDown. So, DIY though, that was incredible timing. We and you have been talking about how a town down on this has just been flat. There's nothing there. And I think this run that DIY is gonna go on is gonna be a historic run for these tag titles. - I am so excited because I think it's gonna be really refreshing to have the tag titles on defending champions who are, we're great more simply because the raw titles have also been on kind of more character-based people. Not that grace of all, and Austin Theory can't go, they can, but the whole story has been about their dissension. And I think DIY are not gonna have dissension for a good long while. But let's get into our episode of SmackDown Guys. Get into those super chats and hopper chats. Keep that support coming. We appreciate you so, so, so much. But we start off with this men's money in the bank promo. Yeah, this was just the one that we get before these every year. Jey Uso comes out, he kicks off SmackDown. Crowd is going yeet crazy, but it doesn't take too long for LA Night to interrupt him. We get some yeet, yeah, yeet, yeah. I want what, yeah. 'Cause I think if Stone Cold has another match in him, it's probably going to see him punk, but Stone Cold versus LA Night, something I would be interested in seeing for sure. But after our little yeet, yeah, battle, we get the other competitors coming in here, Carmelo Hayes, Ted Gable, who very accurately summarizes like, this has been a really rough three weeks for me, man. I got attacked by the Wyatt season, left out to die. None of my friends like me anymore. We got Andrade, who's barely able to get a word in edgewise, but I think he's trying to copy my hair, to be honest. Like it felt like he was copying my hair today. Finally, Drew McIntyre comes out here and he gets disrupted by very loud CM Punk chants. And he starts to run everybody down. We get Andrade getting called El Idiot. He says he just feels bad for Gable, says Hayes is looking up at him and that LA Night won't need. Yeah, tomorrow he'll just need no. And that Jay, well, how did Jay get across the border anyway? Which, you know, after Sean had said that about Jacob Fatu, I don't know if it depends on what is keeping you from crossing the border, but that was Jay's situation at 1.2. Drew calling that out obviously here, which was nice to throw a little bit of heat on this thing. And that robot saying the timing of the WrestleMania doc is maybe think Rocker Roman might appear at Money in the Bank. Also surprise, no clip from the three-hour post show and the doc, come on, talking to him here. I don't think Rocker Roman come back here. I do think that's probably a summer slam surprise. I think the more likely thing is that you see CM Punk either interrupt or you see CM Punk come in if they want a double turn, there is a way to have Chad Gable get taken out by the Wyatt Six and not even make it to the ring, right? So there's just an open spot in Money in the Bank. If you want Punk to start to feel pretty heel-ish, him just running up the ladder to a mixed reaction, screwing Drew over again and taking the Money in the Bank championship as he is Mr. Money in the Bank. I think it's a bigger possibility than the people are giving him credit for. I think it's more likely he costs through either now or for the cash in, but do you think we're getting any surprise entrance for Money in the Bank? And what did you think of kind of our opening segment? I mean, every time you say that, I think back to that time, Brock Lesnar decided to show up and take the Money in the Bank, do you remember that? Yeah, I hope that doesn't happen. I know it's pro wrestling and I know it's entertainment, so we kind of need the drama of it all ran the flare, but I would hope that CM Punk costs you know, Drew McIntyre this briefcase any other way than him showing up and just taking it, right? Like showing up as an entrant and taking it down. I really don't want that to happen. I think that the run-ins that CM Punk are doing are really methodically well done. And I do believe that that is what's gonna happen here and Drew's gonna once again get his eye off the prize and he's gonna get yeeted on. People are just gonna be yeeting all over and I can't believe I don't have a blue shoe segway for tonight. Damn it, the one that's freaking through it or two. I know, I appreciate that you cheated up for me, but we're not hitting that at the bar today. So that is our men's Money in the Bank promo. We have one of these every year, it feels like. Will saying they knew what they were doing when they had LA Night and Jey Uso out first. They absolutely knew that yeeted versus yeah, was coming at some point. It's not my favorite thing in the world, but it had to happen. It was inevitable, it was inevitable. Guys, keep getting in those super chats and humper chats. We love it when you talk to us. We appreciate it so much. Enormous saying if Brock shows up and wins Money in the Bank, I'll go vegan. I don't think we're in danger of either of those things happening. I don't think you're going vegan or Brock is putting up. Sure, no, yeah. I feel like SummerSlim for bloodline stuff is probably the biggest place for that. Like, I think that's just a bit more of a cornerstone pay-per-view. I think the timing with this story works out a little better. So that's just my guess is that we probably see the rock and/or Roman show up a little bit closer to that. We get a quick Bailey interview backstage. This was not my favorite of Chelsea Green's, not because of her. I just didn't really like what they gave her to say 'cause she calls Bailey irrelevant. But she's the champion, so no, she's not. (laughs) That was my thing is no, she isn't. But Chelsea's being Chelsea, she's being a heel. That's what heels do, right? They oftentimes don't make sense to get under people's skin and make themselves sound better. But Bailey gets a match with Piper Niven again for reasons, which we'll talk about shortly. And we also see Naomi saying that she's got her back tonight, but we get kind of an extended stare from Naomi if she doesn't win money in the bank. I'm wondering if we get a heel turn for her. She needs something and her turning on Bailey right after what I'm assuming is like Nia's coming after her. Tiffany Strand's gonna be coming after her. If her own friend steps her in the back, that's, I mean, we kind of just did that with damage control, but that was a whole faction she was leading. Naomi needs this turn and turning on Bailey, I think is a good way to go about it. What were your thoughts on the promo? And then we'll talk about the match. Yeah, I thought it was, you know, I thought it was well done. I think kind of having Piper be more of a stronghold for the team, like she just came in and beat the crap out of Bailey, you know what I'm saying? Like I want more of that, whereas Chelsea's the mouthpiece and she does such a great freaking job of it that she can get away with just pretty much, you know, I know you didn't kind of like that whole deal, they're calling her relevant or whatever, but she does such a great job. Yeah, yeah, it feels like she does such a great job of setting it up. And I do believe that Piper has this, this mean streak in her that we still haven't seen, you know, that we still haven't really like brought out of her. And I hope they do. I like both of them together. I really, I really hope that something works out for them. I do too. I also think there's a young lady named Ariana Grace and NXT, who is ripe to be her tag partner. If you look at the character work that she is doing, she's doing some really, really, really, really cool stuff. Just wanted to call out this chat that made me feel good. I found Fightful and Kate and Alex and the SGS kept to be hooked. Well, thank you so much. We love on our anniversary weekend hearing what you guys have to say about ways that you found us things that you tuned in for. We appreciate that so much. >> Yeah, for real. >> This is a dream job, but it is a job. It's a lot of hard work and it's made possible by your support. Those subscriptions to Fightful Select, we tout them all the time, but that is legitimately how we get paid. That is the engine of this business. So we just appreciate it so much. I can't thank you guys enough for letting me do what I'm able to do. And for Sean and Jimmy too. Let me keep doing what I do over here. But let's talk about this match with Bayley and Piper. We have Naomi and Chelsea there as well. And we get Bayley with the victory here. This is kind of a good way to take advantage of the fact that Bayley isn't on the card so you can just have your champion looking strong. You don't have to have her look weak going into it so that she can get the win on the pay-per-view. She avoids the Vader bomb and hits the rose plant. She looked good in this kind of standard fare. This match didn't have a ton to it. But Bayley and Piper always have great chemistry. And then after this, you get Nia Jax running over Bayley and hitting a head butts and a running leg drop with the addiah later. But Meachin has a kendo stick and beats up Nia a little bit. So next week we're going to get Meachin versus Nia. Meachin is excellent. I hope they do more than continually squash her on SmackDown and then have her be a badass on NXT. Like she's two different people in two different worlds. But fun match, good post-match angle. I love seeing Meachin on my TV put her on there more. But what did you think of the match that we got out of this and the post-match? Yeah, pretty good. I don't like all the craziness that goes on sometimes. In these matches like this, like with even after the match. But I can understand it. I can understand that they're trying to tell stories here and extend what they're trying to do with all these wrestlers. I just, Bailey just is so good in the ring, man. God, there was a spot where Piper's coming in towards her in the corner to give her a squash. And you can tell with the way that she positioned herself, not only protected herself, but it looks so damn good. And she just went down like a sack of potatoes. I was like, yo, she's so damn good in the ring. I love the women that wrestle. I just love women's wrestling in general. Yeah, it rules. And Bailey is the best of us. Yeah. She's so selfless in there. It's the first word that pops to mind when I get her. Yes. Like she's just always there to make her opponent look good. And I am here for that. I'm here for that. But Jay Miller, not a fan of the booking of Bailey, who says that Bailey is his favorite horsewoman. And the booking has been atrocious. She has no challengers nor a story at all. If she loses tonight at SummerSlam, it'll be a damn shame. Now, I don't think she's losing tonight at SummerSlam, but I do think Tiffany is going to cash in successfully. Because we have this alliance. And I think Nia is going to beat the hell out of her. It is a shame because I think her match with Piper was quite good, but the story was Scotland. Like there was no way they're going to get any wins. Like there wasn't a lot there. I liked the matches with Naomi. I thought that was good. I think having damage control on a separate brand is good in that we didn't get an exhausted feud out of it. But it is kind of like come up and something they're gone. Like it didn't really let us sit in the revenge for too long. I think the matches have been good. A longer term story, I think would be better. I think we might get that between money in the bank in SummerSlam. Like I think we're probably going to get some good work. What is your thoughts then on Bailey's reign? I feel like the in-ring has been stellar, but I agree that the stories could have been stronger. 100%, kind of a little bit like she's gotten lost a little bit in the shuffle with things, kind of like Cody did for a while there before Cody got picked back up because there was matches that Cody was, I was like, what the hell's happening right now? Why is he having these random ass matches for? And then all of a sudden things really picked up for him. I see that happening with Bailey as well. It's hard, right? You're the champion. You're supposed to be defending it, but there's so many other things going on around you and other stories. You're not like, you can tell Bailey's the champion, but after that match, the story wasn't Bailey. The story was everything else, you know? - Yeah. - So, I put faith in them. Believe it or not, guys, like SummerSlam is next, like we're heading into the Burr months, if you know what I mean, of the Burr month, okay? - We are. - You know what I'm saying? So, this is it for us. What happens at SummerSlam will determine, I think, in my eyes, what's gonna happen for the new year, you know? I agree, I would say it was outpenny each other and then it turned into out hater each other. Like it seemed petty and then they started like, Drew came to smack down to be punk within an inch of his life and I feel like now, now we're in hater mode. But I agree and I think considering both of them have been injured, like I'm an in-ringale, so I wanna see the blow off, like that's my thing. But considering they haven't been able to wrestle, I feel like they've done a pretty good job keeping this feud feeling fresh and like kind of the biggest pivot point headed into somebody in the bank. What have your thoughts been on Drew and punk? 'Cause that's normally a raw gimmick and we're here to talk smack down, but it's wet into our show tonight. - It's funny how you say that because I've kind of lost touch with how this all started. I just, I'm like, why are they fighting? Why are they bickering at each other? I understand that they're still doing it. I understand this kind of like a back and forth between them who get out do who, but why did this all start? Like I forgot. You know, punk, when it was injured, right? He was injured right out of the get go through at the rumble, wasn't it? - I'm afraid for it and it happened. - And it happened, but this is bad blood and I'm, it's been going for so long that I have no reason, no idea why these guys are now fighting, but I'm here for it. I'm waiting for them to be, and I just wanna put this out there. I pray, and this is as legit as I'm saying it, that punk stays healthy for the continuation of this thing here with Drew, because I would hate for this to just go down the drain, unfortunately, because this is, we need this fight. I wanna see this fight. - I wanna see this fight. I also wanna see punk turn heel. I've wanted it since he's come back to wrestling and he was a face the entire time he was an AEW. I wanna see CM punk as a heel. The money is a heel punk. - I think he could be very interesting as a stable leader as well. - Can I ask you a question? - Yeah. - You think they're lacking power heels right now? I understand there's like, you know, Drew's doing the thing or whatever, but power heels, like everyone now is like talking about maybe Homeland or Cody and, you know, CM punk, like you just mentioned being heel. Outside of, outside of whatever the bloodline was doing, even, even soul doesn't feel like a power heel to me. Like, you know? - Well, we do have a bunch of high-emasidal maniacs that just showed up on Raw. So that's, we do have straight up murderers. So that's, I think Jacob Fatu is going to step into being that guy. I think he's gonna be like, he's gonna be a killer and I think the low's gonna be orchestrating a lot. But I think Roman's gonna come back super face and that's gonna make him a super heel with how over Roman is gonna be. He's just gonna be on the other side of the guy's-- - I didn't mean to go off track, but yeah. - Oh, good. All good. No, I appreciate it. Guys, getting your super chats and your humper chats, we are zipping along through our episode of SmackDown. Your boys returned. Alex, you got the clavicle down. I assume it's because we get pretty deadly here. - Yes. - But they lose to the street profits. They get a, from the heavens, from Montes Ford, who gets the pin. This was a decent enough showing. I just feel like pretty deadly kind of hasn't been around in a little bit. - Yeah. - I understand, we're gonna talk about this with the women's tag picture too. 'Cause India Candace are great wrestlers who are big fat losers. Like, I understand that not everybody can win all the time, but there is a point where it becomes ridiculous. Like, where you've got to get them someone so that I can believe they're credible enough to be on your show. Less of a deal with pretty deadly because they're so silly, more of a deal with Candace and Indy. But, same kind of thing where it's like, they're a real deal tag team. They are multi-time champions under the WWE umbrella and NXT and NXT UK. Like, they're a really good team and whilst they're silly, I don't want the new era to fall under the trap of the old era, which is once you show us your funny, that's all you can be. And you definitely can't be a winner if you're funny. Like, we saw that over and over and over again. Pretty deadly is a badass tag team when it comes down to it. They're real, real good. But, the Street Profits also desperately needed a win. So, I get that much. But, a decent enough match, very glad that they're gonna be back in the fold a little bit more. Very, very happy about that. They're great, Street Profits desperately needed a win. Let's get this tag team division cooking now that DIY are champs. Your thoughts on this? >> I'm hoping that, you know, with the DIY being the champ sales make them kind of just like really put some time and emphasis on the tag teams. You just mentioned it, the Street Profits, that's another team. This whole thing with Bobby Lashley, I'm sorry, this is just me talking, but it didn't pay off. I didn't feel like there was any movement or anything that propelled the Street Profits for me to say God, I'm so glad that they were there and look at how high of a pedestal there and now they're going on their own and continuing what they were doing before. And I'm hoping and praying that my boys start getting some more TV time because it seems like everyone that I like has been kind of just here and there. You know? >> Despite booking you. >> I get it. >> I think they're doing this on purpose. >> They're like, "We are going after Alex." >> No one loves you. >> But no, they're damn it. >> I do think with a new tag champs come hopefully a reset of this edition because there's a lot of really good teams. Those two are one of them, but you're right, we have this alignment with Bobby Lashley that felt so cool. And then they turned him face out of nowhere because Bobby Lashley got cheered on Veterans Day or it was like a tour for the troop situation. >> Yep, yep. >> You can't remember which, but he got cheered. And then they were like, "You're faces now." And you're going to face carrying Cross and his crew 150 times. And then it has not elevated the Street Profits at all. And here's the thing about the Street Profits, it doesn't take a lot to elevate them. They're really, really, really fun to watch. They're one of the best tag teams in the world. Montez Ford does like freak of nature with what he's able to do. Angelo Dawkins has improved so much charisma for days with him too. Like very, very, very much a workhorse type guy, like does not take a lot to shoot them to the moon, man. So I don't know, I don't know, but kind of a similar thing with Indian Candice versus Bianca Belair and Dave. Felt for sure like we were heading toward this dissension with Jade and Bianca's story as they lost their tag titles. They both lost their individual qualifiers for money in the bank. And then they went tonight. And I was like, "Oh, finally." Like, Indian Candice are going to get a win so that Jade and Bianca can continue this losing streak and end up in further dissension than they are. So that's not what happens at all. Bianca Belair hits the KOD. Jade hits the jaded on Candice and they just win. And then post-mesh, they say they're coming back for the titles, which I believe because it's ridiculous that they lost them in the first place because whilst I really, really like Alba Fire and Ayla Don, they won because Scotland, like that was it. That's the whole reason they won. You knew Drew wasn't winning then. You knew Piper wasn't going to win. So they had to have somebody win. And they were like, "Well, nobody cares about the women's tag." "Oh, wait, we never care about the women's tag titles this company." Right. So I wouldn't be surprised if they just changed their minds and put them back on Jade and Bianca. I would love to see Shayna and Zoe get a run with Sonia Deville managing. I thought that was a very interesting tease. But we'll see. I'm just so sick of seeing Candice and Andy Luz are both really great wrestlers. And Andy hasn't really gotten a fair shake since she got to the main roster from last year's NXT draft. She's just been kind of walking. So this isn't the way to build a division. I'll put it that way. Four-minute match was kind of disappointing at your thoughts. It felt weird. The whole thing felt weird. The promo afterward, I was just like, "What's happening right now?" I don't know if it's because of its lack of time on television because it's a two-hour show on network, right? As opposed to being on cable, you could probably stretch it. Or if it's just laziness. And it's just like, "Hey, here are the women. We really don't really have anything strong for them. So just give them this amount." Which sucks. Because I think when it comes to the women's tag teams, it's sucked for a long time. It has not been, it has not taken off. And even now with my spooky witches. Who are not so spooky witches anymore. I know, and there will be spooky in my heart. What are we doing with them? I see more of them on "Isla Dawn" on Instagram. Doing videos. That we do on show? Then I do on TV, okay? I'm her number one follower. Well, that's I believe. And if I was going to place bets on who her number one follower was, I would say Alex Cardo's head. Please bet responsibly on what you've had. Bet online AG. I've never played that ad by Sean before, and it was startling. I was startled. I was startled at the way that ad started. It was very well, and it was a lot. It was a very wagging flammable, uh, willing farm man, from the-- [LAUGHTER] From the, uh, species. Wagging flammable, arm flammable, arm flammable, too, man. There you go, there. I saw-- I think it was Family Guy, right? I saw it quite-- What's the Family Guy shoot? White. I'm gonna start with James. It's okay. I didn't really watch the Simpsons. I saw more of Family Guy than the Simpsons. You're young. Will's saying-- You know what, I'll take that. [LAUGHTER] Are you team Family Guy or team Simpsons chat? I'm honestly team South Park, so to be honest, that's where my loyalty is live. But Will's saying, I see Jade and Bianca losing the title match, and then the turn happens by Jade getting met at Bianca and taking the pin. That could be it. That could be the catalyst is that they earn their way back to the tag title picture, and then they end up losing anyway. Jeez, my mega heel, by the way. If Jade could pull-- If anyone could pull it off is Jade. I'm intrigued to see which way that can go, because I think we saw Jade could do it. She was a heel and a UW and she was an asset. Yes. But I'm itching for some heel Bianca, man. Like NXT heel Bianca was so much fun. She's been like, John Cena levels have protected up until this like, past run of hers. Kind of itching for it. Kind of itching for some Bianca heel turn here, but we will see what happens. And we are going to talk about our tag team at championship match and we'll tie the rest of the bloodline and the Cody stuff together as that end of the episode. But I am so happy about this for so many reasons. One, I think it's going to be the healthiest thing that can happen for the tag team division. A team like this, that's this great. We get Gargano winning with the Gargano escape. They hit a shatter machine, which just made my heart jump out of my chest. It's the anniversary of their NXT title match with FTR, which I think is why that beautiful, beautiful nod came into the picture. This match was great and Austin Theory can really go and Grayson Waller can really go. The idea of turning Austin Theory face, I don't think is going to work. But I got to say like this match was everything that I want to see from this tag team division moving forward. Like in almost like in a no excuses way anymore, like no more goofy stuff, please. Can we get down to business when the work rate is this high, when the teams are this good? Because Austin Theory and Grayson Waller were excellent in this too. But like the La Mystica into the Gargano escape from Johnny and Theory is there to break the tap only for Chomp and a Grab Theory. This is all a callback with the Sicilian stretch, like all beautiful, beautiful nods to their match with FTR. This is one of my favorite spots. That you can do there, but I was so happy about this match. I was so happy about the outcome. I was so happy it was given a ton of time. Earlier in the episode, we get Chompa talking about them winning those NXT titles in the same building. Johnny choosing to return in that building as well. And they just kind of go through Gorilla. They definitely need a new theme. So I tell you that I just want Rebel Heartback so bad. Just let them both use it. But excellent, excellent in-ring here, excellent outcome. This is my favorite by far 15 to 20 minutes of the show was when we got to see this promo and these teams, like this was just, this was excellent. I'm so happy about this. And I'm intrigued to see who gets built up to face them, Alex. What did you think of this match? And who do you think contenders are going to be? Because we got a new slate here. I'm extremely happy that the titles, the best-looking titles in WWE right now, were finally moved off some, they're both incredible workers. Together, they didn't do it for me. And together, they flat-lined. Okay, so to see the titles move on to a team that is built, built. We started NXT, we've seen it everywhere else. They're built for this. And I think that they're going to be able to put on a bleep kind of show. Okay, starts with an F. I didn't want to curse. Okay, tap a show every single time they go out there. Now, when you mentioned who can go after them, man, that's a good question. And I'll tell you, I know that there's answers. And I know there's obvious people out there, but it's been hard to realize who, because the run for A-Town Thunder was so bad that this new run could bring in some new competitors, some new tag teams that can be put together, so on and so on. So I don't know, I mean, we could even see the bloodline, the new bloodline, even the contenders, right? The Tonga, Tonga brothers, or whatever you want to call them. >> Tonga brothers, yeah. I think Tonga and Tenga, it's very confusing. It's Tengaloa and Tomatanga. But those two could be a good contender. >> I think you're going to want mega heels. I do think when they had a space event, they probably win them. So I would like for that to be further down the line. >> Well, Garza, the Garza brothers, you can have them. >> Yeah, just resigned, sure. >> Yeah, so you have them, maybe even, I don't know, man, Santos has been lost. Maybe he jumps in with someone like, I don't know. It's just, there's a lot of people, it's just, they're going to have to revamp it. Because right now, I'm just like, who do we bring in, you know? >> Yeah, and the street profits seem like they're back face, so that doesn't really work with the IY. >> Correct, yes. >> And pretty deadly are great, but they're silly heels. So what does that look like? This pops to be tremendously be enormous. And Kate doesn't eat beef, she starts it. I'm still in that for a t-shirt. >> [LAUGH] >> That is the vegan loudmouth way right there. >> She bangs, she bangs. >> That's what's up. >> Well, I love the takeover callback. Me too, that was eight years ago. I feel old, my daughter wasn't even thought yet. >> Wow. >> That match is incredible. That is one that is worth going back and watching over and over and over again. FTR paid tribute to that spot with the briskos as well. Just really, one of the best tag team wrestling matches you can ever get is DIY and FTR. And I love that they both preserve little pieces of that for themselves. As they carry forward their legacy of being two of the best tag teams in the world. Like when I tell you Johnny Gargano and Tamaso Champa are two of the best tag teams, or one of the best tag teams in the world alongside FTR. I'm not exaggerating and it started there. It started eight years ago and kind of before, but that was such a cementing moment. So I'm with you. I am with you on that. Made me very happy as well. Gonna give you a little bit of a rampage run down as Luis is so nice to put this in the chat for us. But guys, we're coming down the home stretch. We're gonna talk about our closing segment and the earlier stuff that happened with Cody and Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. So getting your chats about anything else on the episode or our bloodline versus Cody and friends segment. But we got roots defeating commander, we get Don Callis on the broadcasting for that match. What if you could have a career where the opportunities are as fast as our nation, where it's not about mission statements, but a shared mission? At US Customs and Border Protection, we go beyond to protect more than borders, from ship to shore, air to ground, cities to local communities. CBP agents and officers are keeping people safe. Join US Customs and Border Protection and go beyond for something far greater than yourself. Learn more at CBP.gov/careers. That's fun. Brene Paquette, the lovely, beautiful Brene interviewing the Undisputed Kingdom where they made fun of Ishii. Don't make fun of Ishii. He's gotta be angry right now. So rude. Don Callis family, Kyle Fletcher into Kesha, beating private party. Roush's backstage with Don Callis and he tries to integrate Roush's affection. And Roush and him shake hands, which is interesting because he is all about the bee's niece. If you get it, you get it. Kyle O'Reilly defeating GPA or CPA? GPA? Is there a GPA and a CPA? A GPA sucked. There was a video package recapping MJF and Danny Garcia, Samoa Joe calling out Chris Jericho. That's gonna continue to all in and I'm gonna throw over everything. And then there was a Champions Rain short film with Tony Storm. Of course, I will be going back and watching that. We're gonna get Tony Storm and Tricia Dora on collision, which is excellent. There are multiple women's matches on collision again. Makes me very happy. And the women's Owen Hart tournament semi-finals is what made events. You get Mariah Mae defeating Shida. And I got a couple of messages that were like, "Yo, that match ruled." So absolutely love to see that. Some more super chat love from you guys. Me enormous saying it only took three months to get the tag and title split correct. I still don't like the Pete's belts. They're a bit better than the Teddy and Nickel belts. Awesome truth and a town down under go on a long vacation. Yeah, it's so weird how nice the Smackdown ones are and how bad the Raw ones are. Like the Smackdown tag titles are some of the most beautiful belts in all of wrestling. And the Raw ones, I'm like, "What happened? What happened here?" Yeah. Tim McPowell says, "What a time to be Canadian." We just advanced into the semis at COPA. And our adopted team DIY wins the tag titles. I'm so excited. I can't be annoyed. They didn't close. Okay, maybe I can. Yeah, it was weird to have something that high level of an in-ring like feature, not closed the show when you had these bloodline segments. But I guess it's just like bloodline closes the show or opens it. That's how it goes around these parts. And before we get into that, we did have a super chat from Marcus that says, "Does the winner of the women's money in the bank cash in the same night like the past or hold the briefcase for a while?" I'm sticking with, you got this Nia and Tiffy Alliance. Nia is seeing the winner at SummerSlam. So I think she beats the hell out of Bailey in Tiffy Cash's and on her back. That's what I'm doing. Alex, do you have any thoughts? No, I mean, same as you. I know Tiffy's going to come in. My take is that WWE's kind of doing the whole thing. Like they did like about 30 years ago when it kind of went younger. So I think, and we've seen it and Fife has been talking about it. I think she's the future. I think no one's going to beat her right now. I don't care what scenario you guys. Not you guys, but anyone kind of tries to put her into. God, she's just, I think that Rocket is about to freaking blast off with her, man. I've always thought the money in the bank briefcase should be a starmaker. That's why that Mustafa Ali moment was so heartbreaking. I was like, Rockwizard didn't do that. Like it should be a starmaker. And it's always better on a heel. Toodles in the bank. I'm all for it. I think it's great. So our bloodline and Cody and friends segments here. You get earlier in the night, Cody, Randy and KO coming out. You get Cody kind of calling out the bloodline saying the bloodline asked for a fight. And that's where they're going to get. He calls the bloodline the anemic version of the bloodline, which is pretty good line. Randy Orton reminding everybody that the RKO is as lethal as it is and that he's a 14 time champ. Then you have Kevin Owens talking about him rushing home because his mom was sick. And he tells us really, really heartfelt story about what he's been dealing with over the course of the past week or so. And that he contemplated staying home and that normally going home for shows like this is a time where he gets to celebrate with his family and be with his family and celebrate wrestling with his family. But this was different. This looked different. And he thought about staying home and he knew that nobody in the company would be mad if he made that decision. But there's only one person that would be at his mom. And that his mom saw him laid up at like 11 years old and from that moment on. Like that was it for Kevin Owens. And he said there's only one thing that I can do to do right by her and to kick the bloodline. And I just loved just how sincere that all was. And just mine and I think fair to say all the fightfuls healing thoughts toward Kevin Owens' mom and their whole family. Timmy Cowell saying love to Mama's Dean now that we echo that very much here because there's things in this world that are a lot bigger than wrestling. And that's one of them. But he's just always so great on the mic. And then when there's like this extra layer of sincerity of something that sounds like really happened, man just rips at your heartstrings. And as someone who is blessed enough to have parents that have supported everything, she's done her whole life that we're here painting the walls you see behind me earlier today, definitely something that like clicked in with me and really, really moved to me. Like I like it when a wrestling promo really hits you the right way. And that one did for me. We'll talk about the bloodline stuff shortly, but your thoughts on what we got from this triumvirate of fellas. Did you like the anemia line or did you? Made me pop. I like that, you know, they find ways to kind of they're a badass group. Don't get me wrong. The group that they put with solo is a badass group. Okay. But when they find ways to make fun of them, because it's not Roman Reigns group, I love it. Couple of pointers. We saw the team hanging out. We see Cody on the mic. Everyone's really happy. But you see one Randy Orrin really staring at that title behind Cody, like, hey, kind of like, you know, and I was sitting there going, wow, like he's really selling it. You can really see it now, you know, like people are picking up on it way more than what it was, right? So I was really nervous. He was going to turn on Kevin Owens then. Like, I know it doesn't make sense with the timing of stuff, but like with how sincere that promo was. And I'm just I'm just waiting for the moment. Cause you know, it's coming. Like, I was like, is this the time when he just beats the crap out of both of them? And kind of gives us that, like, when he does this and walks away. When Jean Ambrose was like, sorry, you had leukemia. I'm going to beat the dog shit at you. Like, I thought we were heading for one of those and maybe so nervous. I knew it couldn't be because of the deal tomorrow, but I was like. Yeah, they're going to, they're going to let this one simmer just because there's so much stuff going on with, I think with, with Cody and whatnot. And obviously, like, I think when you're talking one on one with, with, you know, uh, Roman and you're like, you got leukemia. Cool. Well, can we do this? I think the mom thing would have been a little bit too, too much. Too much on going right now. You can see the sincereness in his face. You look like he was going to cry. I felt that you could feel on the TV. It was sad to kind of see his voice kind of crack a little bit, but I hope everything goes well for him, but this group, I like them. I like them together, but I just, I just feel like something bad is going to happen real soon, man. Yeah, I, I feel like the turn might happen on Kevin Owens and then, like, it might happen this weekend where he turns on Kevin Owens and then looks like, Cody, can we get up in Canada? Can you imagine that? And then he drops the, sorry about your mom line or something. Like, I know it's maybe it's not tonight, but tomorrow it'll be okay. I'll be like, yeah, mom's feeling better. We can drop the slash and we'd love to be part of the storyline, you know? Yeah, it seems like she seems like from what he said today that, that she's all in. Yeah, she's, she might be down for, for that, as long as things are okay and on the road to be. Yeah, yeah. We do then close the night with this bloodline segment. We get Solosokoa via video and he is holding the, you, you laugh on that. I can never say it, right? I'm so sorry, but he says it makes him the tribal chief and he didn't want it, but it's what the family needed and that Roman wasn't man enough to defend their legacy at WrestleMania against Cody. And I, what I like about this is right off the bat, he is saying like, it was my responsibility and I'm going after the guy that Roman couldn't beat the second time. Like the guy he finally lost to, that's the guy I'm calling out to prove that I really am the tribal chief in this, like, pretty well done on that front. And he says that Roman's not that guy anymore and that he is taking back the undisputed WWE title from Cody, and if Roman wants any of this, he can come get it basically. And he wants Cody to acknowledge him, so low is still like, I'm a little nervous about Jacob Fatou being there just because I know what his ceiling is and I feel like it's very, very high. But I think they can work with this like cerebral solo and Jacob Fatou, like unleashed killer kind of vibe. Like I think this pre-recorded promo was really, really good for him. I think he's better than people give him credit for, but I've just, I've seen Jacob Fatou on the mic and I know what he can do. But that could also play into the dynamic of this in a really, really fun way, I think. But a strong closing segment, I feel like it did its job to throwing some heat on this tomorrow. I think solo has to pin Cody tomorrow. I think like coming out of that match, Cody doesn't need it and solo does. Like solo just needs needs to have that cache so that when Roman comes back, he has something that he can hang his hat on. So I really think it's got to end with solo pinning Cody, maybe because Randy Orton turned, I'll take that. Like that doesn't make me mad it protects Cody in the process. The only person that beat solo for a really long time was Cody. That was the first loss that solo ever had. I feel like that's how tomorrow has to end because Cody needs something to come back for and Roman Reigns needs to come back and solo has to be like, guess what happened while you were out? I pinned four roads. Like that's how I think that needs to go tomorrow. But what were your thoughts on our bloodline segment to close this out? I liked it. I thought it made him look strong, stronger than he has in the past. He's finally looking like that. After that whole thing with Paul Heyman, they kind of cemented it. They really like, you know, we ain't effing around, you know, you drop the ball. You're not the champion anymore. I'm taking over because he, I mean, this story like go forever. Like they can use footage of him calling solo to finish everyone off. You know, Roman never really got his hands dirty. He was using solo. So solo is the weapon. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, very well, very well putt. Yep. So he can very well just tell him, Hey, I was the guy in lane. You know, I was the one laying guys out. I'll lay your ass out. You know what I'm saying? Like, they can really go there. And I don't know where or how like I like that idea of having Cody take the pin. I didn't think about that. And I also like the idea of maybe having a bloodied up Kevin Owens on the outside of the ring, where if you were right, if it does happen, where he gets turned on, you have him all messed up, cream some mask, whether it's a blood packet or real, whatever, just have him on the side of the other ring, you know, he just kind of walks away like here. He served like a platter for you, you know, Cody is. And it ends there. What a great visual, by the way, that would be a great visual. I think it's a really strong way to go home. Like if you didn't want to close with one of the ladder matches, that being the final visual. I think Cody needs that too. He needs something to give up his baby face power back a little bit. But well, saying that solo promo was good. I bet I think that was supposed to say, Tom was like the 50 cent meme. What do you say of me for? Yeah, I don't think you're wrong about that. Couple super chests to close us out. Thank you so much for your support tonight. We appreciate it as we head into our eighth anniversary as media entity, which is so exciting. My three year anniversary, personally coming up here and I just, I couldn't be happier. I can't imagine doing this for and with anybody else. But cool kid, inarguably cool. Just I can just tell you're not lying, says I'm calling it now. Tiffany wins money in the bank. Naya beats Bailey at SummerSlam Tiffy caches in on Naya to burn the briefcase. Now, I feel like there's something really fun, in my opinion, there's something really fun about this alliance with Naya and the type of heel that she is. Just Tiffany can go, but like the idea of having her as Flasky was like, it could be like Naya could be her diesel. And I'm like, yep, that's 100 percent it. That's such a great use of Naya too, because she's still a badass. She's still so important, but keeps her from losing in the title picture. Like she's been prone to so far lately. So that's, that's my thinking is she softens Bailey up for Tiffany to cash in. And maybe Tiffany promises Naya a title shot for that or whatever. Like there's, there's some fun dynamics in that relationship. What do you think? Do you think we're headed toward a Naya title reign? Or, Tiffany is the one to take it? I think the, the story, if Naya were to win, and there's a alliance between the both of them, right? And you have, you know, because she's going into, into SummerSlam, you know, for this title fight, Naya's. And you kind of have the dynamic, like you just said, that Alex said, where she's, you know, the diesel version. There's always been that sense that that person, that heavy is always going to either get turned on or they're going to turn on their person, right? And I feel like what a great situation where you have the champion with you all the time. You know, and you have this briefcase with you all the time, you know, and you have that weird dynamic where they can be going back and forth. You never know who's going to, you know, do what on who. That would be great. I don't, there is no wrong way to look at it because at the end of the day, if Tiffy has the, the, the, the briefcase, she's kind of, she's kind of freaking use it. You know, it doesn't have to be tomorrow night, but she's going to use it and she's going to win it. So whichever way they go about it, I'm good. And I would love for Naya to get a proper, you know, with the, with how everything hot is right now and her coming back and have a proper mean, heelish, you know, run. Yeah. I agree. I agree. Kylie said, love you both. Well, we love you, Kylie. Thank you so much. We love you so much. Kylie is so supportive. You guys have been so supportive all night. Mark is saying bloodline versus bloodline at war games, right? Yeah. Survivor Series War Games. That's part of why I also think that rock and Roman or rock or Roman are coming back at SummerSlam because I think the cadence timing wise is, is a nice one there. Yeah. Meant Arm is closing us out on the chat side saying, here's another small sack of monies for bangs and collarbones. It still feels like a hundred degrees outside and DC at 1130. Happy eighth.
