He was very clear that others could vote. They're conscious and not necessarily for him. But he said so with a degree of certainty that they wouldn't. The AP's Jackie Quinn has the latest. Donald Trump's lawyers are asking a New York judge to overturn his hush money conviction. Defense lawyers for former President Donald Trump have written that now that the Supreme Court ruled that Trump enjoys some immunity from criminal prosecution. The judge in his New York hush money case should overturn his conviction and end the criminal proceedings. They've also blasted prosecutors for rushing to put the former president on trial instead of awaiting guidance from the U.S. Supreme Court. Trump was to be sentenced on the charge this week, but the trial judge Juan Mershan has delayed sentencing to determine if the felony conviction should be set aside.
