I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be Vice President to think she was not qualified to be President. But overall, he gave detailed answers to questions about his work and insisted he is not dropping out of the race for the White House. And the president says he's the best qualified to do it at a highly anticipated news conference aimed at reassuring lawmakers and voters after a dismal debate. The president said it would be different if he was slowing down and couldn't do the job. But there's no indication that. We're learning more about Donald Trump's lawyers request for a judge to overturn his hush money conviction. Donald Trump's lawyers are asking a New York judge to overturn his hush money conviction. Defense lawyers for former President Donald Trump have written that now that the Supreme Court ruled that Trump enjoys some immunity from criminal prosecution, the judge in his New York hush money case should overturn his conviction and end the criminal proceedings. They've also blasted prosecutors for rushing to put the former president on trial instead of awaiting guidance from the US Supreme Court. Trump was to be sentenced on the charge this week, but the trial judge, Juan Mershan, has delayed sentencing to determine if the felony conviction should be set aside.
