You start sweating, and it feels inescapable. And I think that's the way to summarize the heat out here is inescapable. The heat's believed to have caused four deaths in the Portland, Oregon area. The storm that was hurricane barrel killed several people in Texas, and at least one person in Louisiana. It was downgraded to a tropical depression. The NATO summit begins today in Washington as the White House struggles to answer questions about President Biden's health after that poor debate. I hear you. I am your guy, guys. At Monday's briefing, spokesman Karine Jean-Pierre faced repeated questions about whether the President had more than the cold and jet lag he blamed for the debate showing as part of his extensive yearly physical exams. The President has seen a neurologist three times. Jean-Pierre stressed there were no other visits with the neurologist, and that the most recent in February showed no signs of any neurological disorder. Sagar, Megani, Washington. Former President Trump is getting back on the campaign trail. He's rallying voters today at his golf resort in the Miami area. Jury selection begins today in Alec Baldwin's trial in the deadly shooting of a cinematographer during a rehearsal for the film Rust. He's charged with involuntary manslaughter. A United Airlines flight lost a wheel while taking off from Los Angeles, but nobody was hurt. The AP's Lisa Dwyer. Authorities say United Airlines Boeing jet lost a main landing gear wheel while taking off from Los Angeles. The jet later landed safely in Denver. The airline says there were no reported injuries on the ground or on board flight 1001. The wheel was recovered in Los Angeles. The Boeing 757-200 was carrying 174 passengers and seven crew members. And it's the second time a United Boeing jet has lost a tire in the past few months. In March, a United Boeing B777-200 jet lost a tire mid-air after takeoff from San Francisco. I'm Lisa Dwyer.
