AP news. Good morning. I'm Ed Donohue president Biden is getting his message across. He is not getting out of the 2024 race. The push to get him out started one week ago. I had a bad debate. Yeah, I had a dark day. But 90 minute on stage is does not erase what I've done for three and a half years. Speaking on W.U.R.D. radio in Philadelphia. The president says the stakes are high. Donald Trump is a threat to democracy. He said if he loses them. He'll be in blood. That president of the United States. Nobody said anything like that ever before. Cheers. Love that. There are doubts within the Democratic Party. The president has what it takes to win in November in Minneapolis. Ellis Johnston, a Democrat, wants someone else. I am feeling panicked. Um, certainly like laying in my bed at night, like overcome with fear. Um, I do not think that Joe Biden is going to be here. I think that Joe Biden is the best person to be running in this election. I don't know who that person is. More than two dozen people who have spent time with the 81 year old president privately described him as often sharp and focused. But he also has moments at times later in the evening when his thoughts seem jumbled and he trails off mid sentence or seems confused. On the 4th of July in Britain, voters are picking a new government. This parliamentary election is widely expected to bring the labor party to power. It would mean conservatives would be out. More from the AP's Joe Lawless in London. In terms of a massive radical reset. I don't think we'd get that, but I do think we would get just a lot more goodwill on both sides under the conservatives Britain and the EU had a really rocky relationship. There's a lot of mistrust. There will be no 4th of July fireworks today in Orville, California. An estimated 26,000 residents remain displaced by a growing wildfire. Firefighters are working under extreme heat. This is AP news. A French government spokesman was attacked on the campaign trail days before a high stakes election. Griscard Tevno, who's a candidate for the Macron-led centrist Alliance Ensemble, was putting up electoral posters with her deputy and a party activist near Paris when a group attacked them according to Prime Minister Gabriel Attal. Tevno was not injured, but the Wednesday night attack left her two colleagues in hospital, a probe into an armed assault against a public official has been opened. But there's no clear motivation behind the attack yet. 4 people, including 3 miners, are in custody. I'm Charles D'Litesma. Police found the remains of a 12-year-old girl two days after she was snatched by a crocodile while swimming in a creek in remote Northern Australia. Efforts continue to trap the killer crocodile. Saltwater crocodiles are territorial and the killer is likely to remain in nearby waters. I'm Ed Donahue, AP News.
