Sources tell the AP President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris joined a campaign staff call today to say they will fight for reelection after last week's debate performance by the president. A White House official also says Chief of Staff Jeff Zients urged people during an all-staff meeting to tune out the noise and focus on the task of governing. Democrats have been weighing in on the president. We shouldn't evaluate anything based on one debate. This is not about 90 minutes. It's about four years. Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow says this is a two-person race. I'm appalled that we have a former president who's a convicted felon of 34 convictions and there aren't editorial boards across this country the minute he was convicted calling for him to step down. On Capitol Hill there's been increasing anxiety with each day as President Biden has been slow to reach out to top Democrats and rank-and-file members. A Delta flight to Amsterdam landed in New York unexpectedly early this morning after passengers were served spoiled food, says the airline. The red-eye flight took off from Detroit around 11 last night and landed in New York at 4 this morning after reports that some of the main cabin in flight meal service was spoiled, says Delta. Emergency responders met the flight and treated 12 passengers. Not clear how many passengers ate the spoiled food. There were 277 passengers on the plane. Delta says it'll investigate saying and we're quoting, "This is not the service Delta is known for and we sincerely apologize to our customers for the inconvenience." I'm Rita Foulay.
