8VNews, I'm Ben Thomas. A day after the CNN presidential debate, President Biden campaign didn't run away in North Carolina. At Donahue has a report. "It was a shaky performance in Atlanta for the president. He is moving on." "I know how to do this job. I know how to get things done. I know like millions of Americans know. When you get knocked down, you get back up." House Speaker Mike Johnson says the president's performance at the debate shows his weakness. "I take no pleasure in saying that. I think this is a very dangerous situation." St. Anselm's political science professor Chris Galdari says the debate performance added to concerns about the 81-year-old president. "He looked frail. He's noticeably older than he was when he was elected." Donald Trump's supporters have seemed unconcerned about his relationship with the truth during the debate and his performance and delivery helped him with them. "There is no evidence President Biden is willing to end his campaign. I'm Ed Donahue." Former President Trump was in a celebratory mood at a rally in Chesapeake, Virginia saying of the current president. "He got the date that he wanted. He got the network that he wanted. With the moderates he wanted. No amount of rest or rigging could help. Him defend his atrocious record. It's not defensible. I don't care who you were." More rulings from the Supreme Court, the AP's Mark Sherman. The Supreme Court has made it harder for prosecutors to use a charge of obstructing an official proceeding against participants in the January 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol. The case could also affect the prosecution of former President Donald Trump. Prosecutors have used the charge against around 330 people so far since the January 6 riot. Other rulings weaken federal regulators overturning the 40-year-old Chevron decision and allow cities to enforce bans on homeless people sleeping outside. This is AP News. The price gauge closely tracked by the Federal Reserve suggests inflation pressures continue to ease last month. Consumer prices were flat from April to May, the mildest such performance in more than four years, and they were up 2.6 percent from May of last year. Mrs. Sutel has the AP markets report. Stocks drifted lower on Wall Street, erasing the markets gains for the week. The S&P 500 slipped for 10 percent Friday, but remains close to the record high it set last week. Then as that composite fell, 7-10 percent. The Dow slipped 45 points. It's about 1/10 of a percent. Nike dropped 20 percent after the shoe and athletic wear company missed Wall Street's revenue targets and cut its full-year sales guidance. Executives said they expected sales to decline by single digits in the current fiscal year, providing a challenging environment. Nike's Dower Outlook dragged other athletic apparel companies down with it. Footlocker fell 2.4 percent, under armor gave back 2.6 percent. Seth Sutel, New York. And I'm Ben Thomas, AP News.
