(music) Bless world! (music) Let me go! (music) I'll give you that. But I'll give you a raise. Stay humble. (music) I'm feeling this one right here. (music) Straight to the top. (music) It's that high-style heartbreak. (music) I ain't never been so down in my life. Questions to win. The next wave. I look goin' straight. My hazy from these starts I keep havin' at night. Wondering if the ones I love don't start treatin' me right. Or this pain I keep bottled up inside I can't hide it. Tears runnin' down my face from these battles on fire. But I'm so stuck on your eyes and you so stuck in your lies. But when I look in your eyes I felt your pain and I'm tryin' to make it all better. Ooh, the stormy weather. We can storm it together. Ain't no question I'm better. See we both on the level. And we destined for greatness. Once we cancel the statements. We gon' conquer the haters. Gotta push just to make it. Or these wheels to be break 'em. Or your pain let me take it. Give your love a embrace it as we land here naked. I swear I heard of her sayin' I gave you love. But don't you dare take this shit and start playin'. Cause you need somebody who will stand by you. Stand by you. You look good times and bad times. And we made true. We made true your actions. Made reactions that you might not like. So say humbo. So say humbo. Cause you need somebody who will stand by you. Stand by you. You look good times and bad times. They will remain true. Or your actions. Made reactions that you might not like. So say humbo. So say humbo. So say humbo. So say humbo. And we are back. We're back to the podcast. What only thing that's even the work we took up is bracket about how you want to share dick. Wow. I never thought that would be a statement that come out my mouth paused. But anyway, this is a boy picking back what being here again. It's the man, the myth, the legend, the million dollar dream. You know, the day is going to be all right. Cause it's your boy Mike. All right. What's going on my friend? Oh, nothing. Like, you know, congratulations. We both survived the heat wave of last week. That's only, I have a feeling that's only like the first wave. You know, there's going to be probably several more ways before the summer's over. You know, but yeah, who knows to us for surviving the first round of that? Hey, kudos to the listeners who was also survived the first wave. If you're in the United States, where you aren't depending on where you are in the world. If you experienced some very not so, uh, not, not so good weather, you know, more on the hot side than, uh, you know, you're not alone. You're not a real real quick before we get to, we got a lot of nasty work to cover this week, but normally we were waiting until the end of the podcast. I don't know why we always did this, but we are just going to address you, the listener, the audience, the people. So check this out. We always, we are the self-proclaimed tag team champions, other people, and we are, we will defend that title with honor. Also, we just want to give your control of the content that we also put out there. A lot of this stuff that we do, uh, you do have interest in, but we will also like to know, you know, what topics would you like us to cover more. So with that, with all that being said, again, we have on the Spotify side of things. Uh, the, what do you think about the episode? If you are on Spotify, definitely put it put in there. Like, what would you like for us to talk about? What would you like for us to discuss? Like, that's what that's there for. Um, you know, it was funny. I haven't checked that in so many months, but I want to make sure I would actually check all this. I remember, uh, you brought it out. We would end every episode with like, hey, you know, DM us some, some questions or, you know, whatever. I stopped checking my, I stopped checking those as it's like, cause I think we'll have like one DM in like the year and a half that, uh, we've been on here, you know, so. Yeah, but we definitely, uh, definitely give us, you know, again, give us some questions, some topics to touch on. Give us like, give us a shout out. You know, if you want to shout out, if you want us to shout someone out in your family and your, your circle of friends will do it, you know. Yeah, I mean at this point where you even pop up at a birthday just make sure no, not me. You're not gonna pop up at nobody. I'm not gonna know a birthday. Well, well, there are circumstances to that you we definitely. Yeah, you better you better walk that back just a bit. Yeah, well, well, welcome to a seven year old birthday party. Yeah, we're definitely not doing anybody under the age. Look at us like, are you the entertainment like, no, I'm just here for the alcohol. I'm just, I'm just here because someone sent us someone someone sent us a DM saying to pull up. Yeah, and unfortunately we're not doing any make a wish face because I don't think I could stomach that at this point in my life like a damn, you can't you can't fake it for a couple hours. No, I'm not gonna fake it for a couple hours. I actually have a soul. That's real. All right. All right, what do we got today? What do we got? New music. New music. New music. We got a star. Oh, one last thing. Are Twitter type tags are in the descriptions of the podcast that we forget the whole supporter. Yeah. Again, I haven't I haven't gotten a DM from no listeners in forever. Listen, we still got, listen, we still got to put it. Hey, look, okay, fine. Our Twitter links are in the description. It's not so hard to just to say hello. Right. Mike's music takes the million dollar dream is that Mike's music takes your boy Pimp is at will talk 808 or you could also hit the official Twitter of the lockdown radio and media. Lockdown radio for on Twitter as well. Any platform, anyone you rich anyone of us you want to hit up. Go for now let's get into this stomach and do some music. Oh, all right. Starting off starting off with a bang. All right, Megan the stallion. Megan the stallion has dropped her new album titled Megan. It's in your phones right now on all DSPs. Obviously, I like Meg. I've said this before I like when she wraps all the other content, you know, the, the, you know, the stripper type of music, the thought type of music, they all kind of just sound the same to me at, you know. But when she wraps, it's cool. It's dope. I want to let you start because you're, because you, you, you were a little, you were a little bit more passionate than I was to talk about this so I'm going to go first. Well, I was passionate about this project because of one particular reason. Okay, so what's that. What's that reason. Well, that reason was in my opinion, this was her, I guess you could say her Hail Mary, because here's the thing. A lot of Megan's whole stick is like she's one of the best rappers in the world and you're even going after, you know, because you know her and Nikki has this whole thing back and forth. And it's like, here's the problem with that. If you never had a number one album. That's a hard, every album that you drop, and it doesn't go number one is a, it makes that claim to the throne harder for you, because regardless of how you feel about Nikki. She at least have the resume to say like, yeah, she's the queen of hip hop. Yeah, I'm not really, I don't, I don't. I mean, I don't normally subscribe to that. You know, because I always feel like the music will speak for itself. And, you know, these, I mean, I mean, we know that these, these, these bundles, you know, they're still out there, they still exist. So, you know, we know, mostly, and even Nikki, she plays the bundles game to where the numbers aren't really authentic, you know, so it's hard to really, it's hard for me to even bring up numbers numbers numbers when it's like, well, these numbers aren't legit. So, but I get what you, but I get what you say. I understand what you're saying. Meg's been a, Meg's been around the block for a few years at this point. She's, she's dropped. I think this would be her, her six or seventh project. But if we're just going, if we're just going by, you know, when she like, you know, you know, became famous like became mainstream. And I'd say maybe this would be like her fourth, we would count this as her. So I'm not counting her earlier, her earlier makes chase when she was still like up and coming. I'm not counting those. No, you shouldn't. Yeah, no, I think if we're starting with like, I don't know if we're starting like around 2020. I think I, again, okay, like four, four projects then five projects then, and still no number one. I think she cracked only like a hundred thousand first week sales once. And who knows what this album is going to do. Obviously, on the first day, Spotify numbers. She only did about seven million streams. Which is kind of low. You know, for someone like Meg. But yeah, that's the, that's the number side of things. Let's get to the music. Let's get to how it's sounding. Well, well, that was, that was when you were more passionate about more than just the number side. Right. Yes. So, well, first of all. Yeah, like, so what is funny like ever since this whole rap beat between Drake and Kendrick like people is paying attention to the Spotify numbers a lot more lately. I noticed. Like don't you notice that didn't you notice that shift like there was a point where people barely brought up the Spotify numbers it was just solely happy. Yeah, it's kind of, it's hypocritical now. Well, I mean, Kendrick's numbers are going back down now because that, you know, the hype of the beef is dying down for him and Drake's numbers have really. I mean, they haven't really declined like that. I mean, he's the first, I mean, he made history the other day, you know, being the first artist to have over a hundred billion. 100 billion credited streams on the platform, you know, right. So, yeah, I mean, you know, you could say things are getting back to normal now, you know, because that whole like, not like us nonsense. That's even with the music video that's soon to be dropping that's not going to really he's he's melting this shit out of this fucking record. Talk about that. But we got something in the kitchen, working on that, and we're going to talk about all that. We're going to put that to the side, but you're going to activate. Okay, so I listened to the first three tracks. A lot of times I skim through tracks. When when new albums come out, because I can normally get a sense of where the albums going, you know, but with this one I actually sat down and try to listen to it more. So, you know, the biggest thing that I took away from this is that the first four songs alone. Gave me an idea of what the album was going to be like and that's just this whole, all my haters say this and like, or, you know, and again we got another to double back with this and Nikki again. There was another shot I forgot what song it was, where she says the line. Well, well, not forbade them but you've been obsessed with me for four years go take care of your husband and your kid, you know, which I liked I like that line. Yeah, yeah, I mean, I was hot, but then it's just, you get this sense of repetitiveness. It out of four different songs okay because we know the first one was just the original this that she sent out to Nicky. Yeah. And so, so then you get another shot send out to Nicky and then I'm listening to the lyrics. It was just, oh, all my haters is on Twitter and talking about this. All you like it is just like she's a dress. Yeah. Okay, we get it you need to address these things I guess. But like do you really need about 30 minutes worth to address the same issue. I mean, this is, I mean, even looking at the album cover, right she's she's it's a cover of her hatching out of an egg. So this is like the symbolism is this is her like rebirth she's being reborn. In order for her to like, I guess wipe the slate clean and be this new be the new Meg, you know she has to address all of her past, you know, her past regressions and, you know, past issues with her it's with another with another female or is what you know her haters or whatnot. Okay, but but but here's where. Okay, and here's my counter argument. If this album was supposed to be a symbol of rebirth. Shouldn't you leave all that bullshit in the past. Yes, but I mean, you have to address it, and then let it go like you have to kind of like, instead of having it just bottled up inside of you. Just let it out. Say how you feel and then just never speak on it again. At least that's what I'm sure that's if you ever go to there I've never been, I've never been a therapy but I mean if people that go to therapy. But the bottom line, but my bottom line is okay. If you need one or two tracks to get that point across by let it out but it's like, once you get to like track number four and five is like you're still harboring on you know, I would, I would say this like the first half or close to the first half she's doing all that but then the second half is more of like the, you know, more of her like club, you know her club bag where she's of course talking about, you know, again, again like sex this sex that, you know, he's eating, he's eating you know I'm on the deck you know like just her normal like, you know her normal sex songs. I mean I did eventually go back and listen to the rest of it. And yeah I did get that but it's just like, I don't know like for me personally. If somebody came around right like a friend family member, and they spent like the first 45 minutes just harboring on stuff. Like, and you're trying to be like oh I mean, I mean you want to let it out but at some point you're just like oh my god you still talking about this like, you know, and everybody's been there before like you're not a bad. Quick PSA you're not a bad friend, if you have ever has that feeling but it's just, I don't know it's just like, this was supposed to be like a summer album I guess this supposed to. It's just like, and there's so, and but there are records there are like you know summer type records on here, you know what eventually when you get past. You know once you get past I think Trek, four or five, you know then you get more of like the more catchier, you know the more catchier records. Yeah, I think that's how she wanted to construct that, you know let me get all the serious and you know the serious stuff by the way first and then we'll get to you know, more of the more party type of records. So, I mean I suppose it's just, I'm sorry, but it just felt it was hard to get through to the party tracks when the first several ones was just like, just her harboring on like what's going on, you know, and I think that's what always been my mission issue with her singles it was just her single singles always has to, you know, address something it's like, when only these only only these recent singles, but I got the history. The his record was a dis record. The cobra record that was, that was the addressing record. So it's really just been the last couple like this is not really her, you know this the same what she normally does as like a mega single, you know, again it's more like radio, more upbeat catchy, clubby, you know, sexy, you know that that that type of stuff, you know. Well, let me know when you're done so I could. Well, I mean at the end of the day, like it was just hard for me to digest the first half of the album, because it's like I get it you're doing this whole therapeutic thing, but it's like, I think it will be better. Like, she didn't, if she would have like minimized that just a little bit, maybe try to keep it up to like the, keep it to like two songs, and then like go into the party hits, then it would be more easier to digest because it's like, okay, cool. You know, now we getting back to. And I was saying, and I was having this conversation like with somebody, I was like, I just can't get jiggy with the first half, and it's like, and it's not me saying, and this is how I feel about it. Okay, so, a little really came out with a track. TGIF, and it's like, I, I fuck with that heavy. So, so this isn't like a, oh, I'm being subjected to it. I just don't like female rap like no, like I just like good music period. And it's like, if a lot of your singles. It's just you sitting there addressing somebody that it's just like, oh, it's like, oh, brother like. We get on to, can we get back on to the bullshit listen, we listen to music to escape from life the same reason why we watch movies TV, you know what I gotta push back. I gotta push back of it does. Artists go through stuff too. Yeah, they go, they go through stuff too. They go through hardships they go through drama that you know, so they have so they use music as a way to, you know, again, like just express themselves to let it out. You know, it just shows how, it shows how vulnerable they could be. It shows how, you know, how. Oh, man, what was it just, it's just so that they're human, you know, like, you know, it's just, it's just how they are, you know, like, I know, you know, again, you can go back to rock and roll stars in the 80s and 90s that we're doing a lot of drugs. To escape their pain, you know, and they would tell you in their music. Hey, I'm not doing good. You know, I'm hurting. And the only way I feel good is when I'm doing these drugs. You know, so it's just, it's, it's a cry for help. It's, it was their way of like, you know, crying out for help, you know, hey, someone come and save me and whatnot, you know. I don't, but I get it. It's not, it's not for everyone to that they don't want to hear that. They don't care like we don't, like, oh, we don't care what's going on with you. Just give us a, just give us another ass shaking twerk, you know, twerk twerk record, you know, like, we don't care like I get it. You're not the only one. I mean, but, but if that, I mean, but especially in the female rap market if that's what you're mainly known for, then it's like, how can you be mad when we just don't give a rat's ass what you got going on personally like if that's Well, if you, if all you do is give us, if you, if you keep just giving us the same records over and over, that's, that's, that's repetitive. And we, and you'll have people say, well, give us something else, give us some new content like you keep giving us the same records over and over. You know, you're, you're looking like just like a one trick pony type of artist, you know, like that's all you can do. No pun, no pun intended, by the way. Oh yeah. See, I didn't even know. See, see what I did there. I didn't even. Was even thinking about the correlation. But I mean, I get what you're saying. I get, I ultimately get what you're saying. It's. And I'm. I mean, I don't know. Okay, maybe it's just me. It's not just you. I know that's, I know that's other people too. You're not alone in that you're not alone in that. All right, I'm going to go. What I. Again, I said before, I like when Meg wraps, you know, it's, it's, she'll have like these one liners that you know that are funny. She's always, she's always good at that. I don't, I didn't like the fact that she put the disc record on here, especially as the intro. I want to say she put that, she only put that on there because it was for a moment. It was, it was a successful song and it went number one. I would think that would be the only reason why she kept it on there. Ah, she ain't the only one that's milking a disc. Yeah, and again, it's like we kind of forgot about, well not forgot, but you can't, we understood what the record was supposed to do. And it did. It went number one, you know, congratulations. That should have just been a standalone single. And you know, this wasn't meant to be on the album. Like this, it doesn't, to me it doesn't fit the album. It doesn't really fit the album, you know, especially as an intro. And then you go down, and then you go down the list and you know the wrapping is cool, you know, couple will stand out lines and then you get to the, you get to the club records, you get to the, you know, the torque records, the club records. And the catchy records, and to be honest, wasn't a whole lot that was sticking with me. It wasn't a whole lot. Songs that we've heard from the last album, you know, her last, her last album wasn't that long ago. It was traumatized. That was the title for last album. And it was kind of like those same kind of records. I wasn't really getting anything new out of it. I did like, I did like the record with Lo Rilla. I thought that was a good record. Yeah, that's what I like. I really like the record with you GK. Nice Houston. You got you got Houston legends. You know, bunby on there like you are just, he needs to do more of that. She needs to do more music with Houston artists, and just do like a Houston sound type of album, like fully. That would, that would be dope to listen to. And then she's. So those are what I liked. Those are what those are like the two. There might be a third record that I liked, but everything else was kind of like, yeah, this is okay. I'm probably not going to listen to this again. I hated that. I hated that record where she's like, she's, she's rapping in Japanese. I did not like, I did not like that. I did not like that record at all. I get it. You're trying to do something different, but yeah, no, never again. That was not that wasn't it. I mean, but I mean, but who was the intended, like, because you know every song is like has a attended target audience. So who was that target always for like the people that took Japanese as a college or some shit like what the fuck. I don't know. I don't know. All in all this record. There's just no, there's just no standout record and there isn't. There definitely isn't a like song of the summer song of the summer type of record on here, you know, definitely not on it. Like nothing that you will see like anybody. Nothing that nothing that you would hear in the club from the radio. There's there is none, not on this album. So, from one, I mean, we had a few, we had a few moving on. We had a few. You brought up, you brought up Guerrilla's TJF. Did you hear. Did you hear Lotto's big mama record. You know what I haven't got around to that yet though I see that that is a good record. That is a good record. Lotto, man, she's been dropping some heat. She's been dropping some heat these last few months. I'm not going to hold you. Uh, yeah, I would definitely say so myself. And you know what's even crazier is that this big mama record, even though all people can really talk about is, oh, this is so like Drake coded, especially on that beef, especially on the beef switch and the second half. Okay, cool. You know, that's, that's what happens when you're inspired by like somebody like Drake to, to want to, you know, okay. But it's a good song. And it was really, it really got that song I talked about a lot more than Meg's album. I mean, I mean, and that, and that goes to show you like, you know, like, I don't know, and it's weird too, because here we have another, you know. Here we have like another, like, album with a whole nother nicky diss. And it still doesn't move the needle for you like that. I mean, does that, is that telling in itself. I think there. I think there might be like, because again, I said that make makes last album wasn't that long ago maybe. Maybe maybe maybe maybe Meg is dropping too much music in such a short amount of time, like maybe she needs to like, take a step back, maybe, you know, finish out this tour, and then just do some other shit some other business that's not music related and then in a couple years come back, you know, come back when they come back when the fans like that they're wanting you to come back when they want you to drop music, you know. I mean, but then again, here's the thing though, Mike, we came from the era where Wayne was dropping make shapes like every other week so is there a really truly a such thing as too much better or is it. Oh, like that that's. But here's my question is this a such thing is dropping too much music, or is it more like too much music from this person. Like some artists can drop like a fund is amazing. Again, it's, it just comes off as more of the same type of records from from her, you know. I would say I would just advise her to go, you know, go to your thing. Go go experience life come up with some new material some new experiences and stories and, you know. Because go listen okay go listen to traumatize, go listen to good news like those were her last couple of albums go listen to those last two albums. And tell me the content isn't the same, like the like the generic lyrics of you know especially when she talked when she's talking about sex, when she's talking about fucking you know it's the same generic lines they're filler. Oh, I mean, and it's not and it's not bad. I mean if it's over a good and if it's if it's over a dope beat and it's got a catchy hook. I don't care what I don't care what your lyrics are. You know, it could be it could be all generic filler lines if the if the if the beat is dope and the hook is catchy then not a lot of people are going to care. But when it's when the hook is not catchy and the beat is just bland. All we have all we have are the lyrics that you're you're you're rapping about. So, I mean, but we get we get we get in that a lot from a lot of artists. And I think we brought it up like last year with this was it last year city girls drop. Yeah, like I think they dropped. Yeah, they dropped. They dropped towards the end of of last year. It's like it's it's all that city girl. It's just laziness. It's just lazy. They're not putting their best effort, you know, like they're not putting their best effort into the music they're just giving us lazy. Like these little quick, you know, two and a half, three minute songs, you know, where the hook and the bridge are very long and the verses are short. It's just, it's just lazy man. It's hot pocket music. That's what it is. It's hot pocket. Listen, I love a good hot pocket, but I mean, I've had some trash hot pockets too. You know, so it's. I just think maybe maybe she's the team. Maybe she has nothing. Maybe she has nothing new to tell us right now. You know, I mean, because realistically like what has been going on in her life. I mean, you know, like, in the last year or two, like, well, I mean, she told us that and she told us that you didn't like it. She told us what's been going on, you know, yeah, but she's been telling us for the last two years has been going on the last two fucking years. It's like, okay, we get it like I mean, it's like, here's the thing and I'm going to put my asshole cap down for a second. Like, okay, we get it. You honestly have been through a lot. We get it. You're going through stuff mentally. You went through some stuff physically. We understand that. Okay, but I mean, but it. Bro, two years ago, that whole bro, two years ago, she was going through a whole, like, shooting incident. So obviously people cared. Right, but I understand that, but where I'm getting that is it's like, if, if this is messing you up so bad, then why are you still. It's like, okay, if I get it, maybe the music's therapeutic or whatever. Okay, you can have that, but then it's like, as some point is like, are you, if you're still, if that's still in it is in the back of your mind. Why, you shouldn't be making music right now, like, especially if that's all you have to talk about like maybe you need to take time away to actually just be great like maybe you don't. And I hope she does I hope after this tour she does other business, maybe some, you know, maybe some movies, maybe, hey, maybe she woke season two comes out. She'll make my parents on there again. I don't think it has nothing to do with Meg, because Meg was just a person that was there. She is a Meg, just just her personality, like she is a beautiful woman with a great sense of humor great personality. I, you know, I don't, like even, like even, I'm kind of like maybe being the mindset of someone that wouldn't like Megan why they wouldn't like Meg. And maybe there's a lot of Meg fatigue. And I was watching, I was, I was watching a show. And all of a sudden, you know, during the commercial side of ads in between, in between, you know, the episodes. There was, there was an Amazon commercial with Meg on it. I'm like, okay, so Meg, Meg got a deal with Amazon that's cool. You know. There was another commercial I forget a little while later and Meg was on there again. I forget what the ad was, but she she had an Amazon ad and something else. And I'm like, oh, okay. And then of course she did she didn't add for the for the Olympics. That's coming up. She did that as well. So I think there's a lot. I think there's too, I think there's too much. I think people are just Meg fatigue, like, oh, she's all over my TV screen doing these commercials with different brands like, like what the hell, you know. I mean, it could be could be who knows. Yeah, but I mean, get your money at the same time. Like, fuck, you know, I'm saying like Amazon probably gave her shit ton of money to do that. So I can't, it can't be mad at that. Can't be mad at that. What was I saying before? What would I bring? Oh, yeah. Lotto singles. Good. You got to give that. You got to give that song. Listen, it's called big mama. It's a dope song dope record. So this song hasn't dropped yet. It's dropping this week, but I wanted to hear your thoughts about this new Eminem song featuring big Sean and baby Tron. That's dropping this week. Did you see the trailer to this? No, I didn't. It's it's pretty much the three of them like Eminem has a chainsaw. He's like cutting somebody up. There's like blood everywhere. Like. It's it's silly. It's it just it just comes off goofy, you know, but. I mean, if you listen to baby Tron's music, this is kind of right up his alley. I'm not familiar with baby Tron. Like, I know he's from that Michigan drill scene. I'm not familiar with him, but you know what? Obviously, I'm going to listen. But this is a prime opportunity for him to really stand out. Oh, you're on a you're on a song with Eminem and big Sean. This is your prime opportunity to show up and show out. And if you do, I may just check out your catalog. That's how I discovered a that's how I discover artists I've never heard of where I'm not familiar with their work. I mean, not to give too much into it, but baby Tron's he's nice. Like, I mean, I fuck with baby Tron. All right. I mean, I'm going to definitely be on the lookout for that and see how he does on on the song. For sure. I'm actually going to see you want like two of his songs that I fuck with. Have any of my personal rotation. Yeah, please do. Yeah, I mean, I love to. Again, I heard of him. I just never really bothered to like check out his stuff like I saw like, you know, I think he. Oh, who do you work with? Who do you work with that I know. Baby, baby. Did he work with baby? Did he work with baby face ray on something? I believe so. Yes. I know they're both from the same state. So. Again, like I just never really bothered to check him out, but yes, let me, let me know what you got. What I sent you this morning. We got to talk about it. Okay. Oh, buddy. Roddy rich. Oh, yeah. Okay. Oh, yeah. That's something I got to sing you to because I was going through the comments that you were sitting. Scrolling to me. But it might be, it might be over for Roddy, man. Yeah, like he's great. It's like, I mean, okay, like, from that little sample that you sent, send me from what I was because okay so. So, so, so he dropped a song. He dropped a song of music video called 911. Okay, this is his, this is his so called come back out. Well, this is his comeback single for his album. And it's, he's ripping off the motto. I'm sorry. He's ripping off Drake's motto, you know, with the flow and the beat is on there. You know, it's funny too because you're on that pop out stage with Kendrick. It's funny to me, but you're okay, whatever. And you're making a Drake song. Cool. See how phony people could be. I can't respect. I cannot respect that. I mean, I mean, again, like, I mean, I just sent you some of the delusion, speaking of the whole pop out in West closing Drake. Okay, so I listened to the song that you said, be like I didn't listen to the whole thing I just listened to that little. Okay, so, so for those of y'all who's not in the know, around five this morning, Prem sent me a scream recording of, you know, writing riches single that was posted on his Instagram. And his fans are letting him have it like they are. I like listen, I can appreciate it. I can appreciate a fan base that like is honest with their with with people that with artists that they like and not like hyping up the bullshit in the mid. You know I'm saying, but yeah, bro, his comment section was killing him. Like, not this ain't it. What the fuck is this bullshit you lost it again. You know, Roddy, you had me hyped but this this comeback single lane it like they were just killing him. Like just scroll. Yeah. It was hilarious. I had to. I couldn't believe it. I mean, it reminded me of like, remember when Roddy like a while ago maybe a year ago was playing a record on Instagram live like a new song that never dropped. Yeah, and he went from having like 12,000 followers and he on his live and all of a sudden like the number started to drop. Oh yeah, I remember that that was started to play that new record because it was so like averaged. It just reminded me of that man. I'm sorry, but Roddy Oh God, I was. I think I think it might be a wrap Roddy. Yeah, and I, and I just sent you like there's still some delusional fans like I just sent you the spot. I said you a screenshot of one person saying, Oh, what the hell everybody says this is me, but they got to sing it to it all so we're like, I don't see not one person, but not even that person is going to sing that song during the summer. I guarantee that. So they just don't want to, but I don't know. And I heard the record, like, just not with the video I just heard the record by itself and yeah it's not Roddy this that ain't that ain't that ain't you bro, that ain't you. Yeah, like it just sounds so it was a word that I have for like what it sounds like. It's like your, it's like your poor attempt at making a drag record. And it's just like, this is why there's that one episode that's going to drop that we're going to have to drop later on this week is going to be a bonus episode because it's like one of the key days is I think writing peaked at some point like he peaked. And he's peaked. I mean, you could say his, you could say his peak was his, was his, his opening out what was the box. And that was his peak. That was like your, you're kind of in that one hit wonder territory like you're starting to flirt with that territory a bit there. I should I wouldn't even say flirt because no other single since the, just talking singles, no other single you've dropped since the box has come within shouting distance of like it being good enough, you know. And the box I mean the box is cool it ain't like the greatest thing I mean, it's a cool record it's a, it's a cool song but it was definitely beatable. I felt like at the time like Roddy could have put a better single out then the box at some point but now I don't think so. I don't think so. Like with me, it's certainly happening. Well, to me, I don't think like he's flirting with that one hit territory. I feel like he's already took that territory to dinner. They basically back going to the telly at the, they go into the telly at this point, like, man. So, so it means because it sucks, man. It's, it's not like he hasn't came, but it is a thing it's not like he hasn't tried at all, but it's like he, you know, he captured lightning in a bottle he's trying to, but that's, that's a bigger issue when you're trying. Because I talked about how people, you know, other rappers are lazy they're putting out like, you know, all these quick songs that take like, you know, 10 minutes to do. I'm sure he takes his time with his music, but it's just the end result, the final result is up to snuff, isn't up to snuff. That's a, like, I would rather him not try as hard as in putting out shit like this, then him trying his hardest. And the songs are still not up. They're still not good enough. That's that's. I mean, terrible, terrible. I mean, but he's a real in depth question. So, is it the fact that he's trying to or is it the fact that his fan base is just too critical or is it a combination of the two. I mean, his, I mean, as a Roddy fan, I could appreciate the fans being honest and saying, now you're better than this. You could do better than this. I like on like, again, there are fans that will, of certain artists that will just hype up anything, any bullshit, any fucking bullshit. And then there's the fans that are dead on it's like yo bro, this ain't it. This shit ain't it. And I mean, and I can, and I will, you know, agree with you to one point like I appreciate a fan base that can sit down with the artists because here's the thing, a lot of people forget this about music. But, and we talked about this at one point when you know, go over the black tie ties to not for being critical about some of her music. It's like, you're, you're success is based on your fan base. Okay. So if you build a fan base, you need to listen to the people. Yeah, because ultimately they're the ones that are streaming your record. You want, you want to get the highest, the highest number of sales you can. You know, and they're the, and they, and they dictate that. So if the music ain't popping, they ain't going to be listening. Right. And you can't say like, oh, it's your haters like I hate that whole scale. No, no, no, in this, in this case, it's his fans bro. It's his fans like it's not even his haters. Even because Ronnie don't have enough haters. He don't have enough haters. He hasn't accumulated enough haters to really be just bombarding his comments section on Instagram and telling him that, you know, his songs aren't good. Like he hasn't garnered that, that much success yet. You know, it's crazy to see that it's crazy to see that. You don't, you don't see that enough. You don't see that enough for other rappers. I feel like other rappers deserve that kind of like that, that, that call out from their fans when their songs aren't good. I mean, it will help a lot. It will help a lot. But I just hate like this sensitive industry where people feel like if you don't automatically like the music. Because I mean, let's, let's be fair. Yeah, you put time and effort and, you know, resources into make producing a song or album or whatever the case may be. But if somebody's telling you that it's not in, then, hey, then maybe you might, they're helping you in the long run, you know, they helping you to make better quality music that they know you can put up. Pardon me that they know you can put out there. And instead of just addressing it as, oh, people are just hating, take a step back and analyze the situation like look at the comments because a lot of these ain't trolls. These are people who, you know, what's even sadder, you know, you, you, I mean, you brought up how, you know, this can help. I feel like there's artists that are very much insecure and have self doubts about their own, you know, so I'm making the ability. I think this is, I think this is going to crush Roddy, this is going to crush him. This is really going to just really be a soul crushing ego crushing, you know, moment for him. And that, I don't think we're going to, if he, if he planned on dropping a new album this year, I don't think we're going to get it now because of this. I don't think, if he goes through with it that's brave, but like if I can't be mad if he decides you know what, I ain't dropping my album no more. The fans aren't fucking with my single. Like they're really killing my single. I mean, but maybe, I mean, am I crushing but I mean, maybe in reality, maybe you should stop trying to catch light in the bottle and just vibe, just make music, make genuine music don't stop. Maybe at, maybe what some people need to do, instead of like try to worry about getting another hit, get an A hit record or in his case another hit record, just make the genuine music because you're, because even if it doesn't you know, hit the billboard, even if it doesn't, you know, hit the billboard 100 your fans will appreciate the genuine, the genuine of will see that. Like, I mean, and I talk about him so much on this podcast like like the moment, like he stopped worrying about billboards like that was even a single that he came out a couple years ago he says like I gave all that up I'm just making music just to make music. And his fans still love him for that like he's not at that level in my opinion to like on the same level as Lloyd Banks is on a lyrical or even a success level, but maybe it's time for you to just focus on what your fans listen to. Okay, you hit you reach the mountain top you touch mountain lipids that's great, but maybe it's about time for you instead of you trying to catch a single, just, just make music and just go with the flow of it. And then if you get something just so happens to pop them good, but then I really think that's been Roddy's problem like he has one of the biggest singles in his career. And he's just been chasing that level of success ever since like he, he wants to have everything like everything it sounds so manufactured like he's like I can listen to a lot of his singles after the box. And he's trying too hard to be like okay this is going to be my next hit. Like just make music bro. Yeah, I agree like don't and again I think the singles they're more like towards like what the labels want like okay the label wants me to put out a catchy radio type of radio single okay cool. That's fine. Yeah, I hope, I hope if he does drop an album this year that the other the content isn't on par with this because this ain't it. The song in it. So, shout out to Roddy nonetheless. Where do you want to go from here did you did you watch the draft you watch the NBA draft. Well I did. I mean, with a lot of stuff like that I catch the cliff notes on it because one of the biggest thing is I haven't kept up with a lot of college ball. So it's hard for me to be like oh yeah they do this guy, you know, and that's the thing with a lot of these drafts like college basketball and the NBA draft go hand in hand because you need to have an idea of who's going into the draft for you to get excited for these guys are going to, and I get a, I get definitely agree there because I was watching this thing, and the first two picks are both players from France. That's the first, first two picks one and two, two guys from overseas. One thing I will say with the NBA it does seem like they are going into this heavier trend of getting like athletes overseas athletes which I'm not against it. Like my point my point being is like this draft. First of all the WNBA draft was way more hyped than this, like way more star power. You know here in this draft you even heard of you even heard of a lot of these guys like wait who who's this who's that who's this who's that. That was day one, like nothing really crazy, nothing really crazy happened in day one. Day two, day two, you was more talked about than day one because Bronnie James LeBron's kid got drafted to the Lakers. He now has it, he now will be playing with his father, the first father son duo on the same team in sports history going back you gotta go back to like when Ken Griffey Jr. You know for baseball was playing with his pops back in like the early 90s, you know, that's how far back, you know we've seen the last father son duo in a sport. So very cool, very dope moment for sure. I don't give a fuck about any of what these losers are talking about. Oh, it's nepotism. Oh, it's his son is even that good he's only in the league because he's LeBron's kid like shut the fuck up. I don't want to get none of that. The kid can pull the kid can play. And if it wasn't for it wasn't for a heart issue that he sub that he suffered last summer, and that took him out of basketball for six months. His numbers would have been way better than what they were. And here's the thing about that like, in the great in in the grand scheme of things, even if it was nepotism so fucking what. Exactly. I'm LeBron James. I could all LeBron bullied other teams so he could drive this kid yeah because I'm LeBron James. You know what I'm saying? Like, because I'll rich Paul apparently call teams to say don't draft Bronnie or else Bronnie is not going to play for you he's going to play in Australia or some shit whatever the rumor was I don't know. But it's like, who cares who gives a shit like y'all are so worried about a second round. He was picked he was picked at number 55 y'all are so y'all are so pressed over the 55 pick of the draft. But this, but this is what happens. And when you're LeBron James like this has been happening his whole. Yeah, but this is just for once like shut the fuck up. It's not going to never. And just and just look at and just look at the big like this is a cool, very, like this is a very dope thing like father's son do like we're never going to see this again. Because ain't no like there isn't Giannis could have Giannis could have a kid now. And in 18 years. I mean, Giannis won't be in the league anymore. He's not going to be playing to lose in his 40s. You know, like we ain't. Same thing for any of these guys same thing for steps same thing for for Durant like any if any of these guys will step does have kids but I'm saying like for those that don't. You're not going to be a kid now and you wait 18 years and they're eligible for the draft. You're going to be out of the league you're going to be too old to play. So this is like you're not going to see this again. You're not going to see a current NBA player. You're going to be on the same team with this kid, even if it's for a season, like it's still a very cool moment. And that first, hey, that first alley you from Ronnie to Bron is going to be fucking is going to be electric. Oh, yeah, legendary. Yeah, that's going to be that's going to be a highlight reel. You're going to play back for a long time for a long time and I hate to bring up Jordan. But, and a lot of the hate I'm sure was coming from Jordan fans. Jordan, with all the power and that he had over the NBA. He couldn't get his kids drafted. That's all I'm going to say. I mean, you couldn't get neither one of your kids drafted because they were garbage in ball, absolute cock in ball. That I remember. And you've got to still love the fact that no matter what happens like LeBron gets like all this unnecessary hate like he's going to get hate. He can't he can't do anything right. He can't and a lot of people's eyes. You just can't look at it like a cool like even like I'm not a dad. Right. I'm not a parent. But if I was or, you know, I'm not but if I was. You got to like put your bias towards the side and be like, you know what, that is very that is very cool. A dad gets to play with his kid in the league. That is that is super cool. Yeah. And again, you won't ever see that again. And for people never never not in any sport. Well, not for a long time. Again, I brought up Ken Griffey Jr and his dad. That was over 30 years ago. It's it's a rarity. It really is. Yeah, shout out to Bronny. I hope he plays well. Like again, like the kid, you know, the kid was overcoming like mental like that. He had a heart issue. He collapsed. He could have died. He had to have surgery. And after that after he recovered a lot of mental, it was like a lot of mental, you know, mental laps that he had to overcome like because it's not easy. You just had you essentially had a heart attack. You had a heart attack, but it's tough to overcome. But it seems now he got he overcome dead. And and now he's, you get to live. He gets to live his dreams and play on the same team with his dad. So that's very, very special, very special. I'm not going to lie. It got me, it got me teared up a bit when when it happened. So, yeah. I mean, it's a beautiful thing. And of course. But it's just people just got to get over something sometime, like, especially. I mean, listen. You know, one thing I love about NBA analogy at this point, and this is a quick side note. So I see them mean the other day, right. Of who what teams ran the league in their era. And of course they have the Jordan, they had the Lakers. And, you know, of course, taking another shot at LeBron, because, you know, he switched, he's been on three different teams. He had to put Steph Curry like, Oh, this is the guy that ran, this is the best team in LeBron's era. Well, okay, make the memes all you want, but here's the harsh reality. And I'm going to say this to all you NBA fans, and memes don't equate to reality. Well, that too, but no, in this era, this supposed era. Anthony, what's in, he doesn't run the league. Yeah, I miss the people that another person that they swore to be the next Jordan, he doesn't run the league. So who's running the league in this era in this decade, like let's be realistic. It's up for grabs. Right. And so that, okay, sure. Yeah, LeBron. Okay, so let's be unbiased here. Yeah, the best, one of the best teams that came out of LeBron ever was Golden State. So theoretically, he had to share the league with Steph Curry. He didn't have that one. But in this decade, it was more like more like Steph Curry and Kevin Durant and Clay Thompson like that super team. Right. So, but pushing that little nugget of information aside, you have not one dominant team in this era. That should bother some of y'all. Like the fact that your guy can say he runs the entire NBA. And, and, and, okay, injuries, yeah, whatever circumstances, whatever the fact is fact. Not wanting anybody who you ride with in this decade of NBA basketball is running the league, no matter what name you don't out there. Oh, well, what about you on this? No, he's not running shit. But what about no, he's not running shit, but what about some sort of no, he's not running shit. When I see one team actually went a back to back championship, then we can have this conversation. But right now, it's an open buffet. None of you. Yeah, everyone. Yeah, everyone's having like their their year. Everyone's just having like their one year and then they just go back to like, you know, being good, but not good enough like it's not, you know, and it's not going to be real with you. It's the one constant in the last 20 years or so has been LeBron. Yeah, he's been around. He's been around the block like he made there might be there are years and you can say the last few years that he hasn't been the best player in the lead. But he's in that he's in that mix. He's in that top five, six, seven. Yeah, definitely top, definitely top 10. Yeah. And meanwhile, meanwhile, all these people that hate LeBron so much, the guy that they rooting behind can't even get a good head of steam because they get one ring and then just let they foot off the gas. They get their one ring and all of a sudden they want to catapult, you know, their superstar player in the same combo was LeBron fucking young, young, young is wins his first ring. Oh, he's in LeBron conversation because he's got a ring and two MVPs. Same thing with Joker. Oh, Joker's got it. You've got, I can't believe Joker has four fucking them. Can you believe Joker has four MVPs. I feel like I feel like that's a favoritism more than it is. Can you believe that book like talk about the MVP being that that so prestigious right. Talk about it being so fucking watered down. So watered down. There was no like there is just no way Joker and LeBron should have the same amount of MVPs and no and no universe should that happen. And it's not a shot of Joker. He's talented. It's quite impressive how someone is quite impressive how a guy with no muscle mass is able to dominate and play the, you know, and play that well. It's amazing. You know, it's giving a lot of fat kids hope to, to reach the dreams to hit the gym. No, fuck the gym. I could go to the league. Look, this month, you think, again, look at Joe, look at your kids. He got no muscle mass whatsoever. He's built like a he's built. He's a round player. He's a round player. He's a round player. Like, and he's and he's and he's doing the damn thing in the league. Hell, they say Lucas out of shape to any and he's and he's also balling, you know. So, I don't know, I don't know, but it's interesting. Why interesting with how the league is turned to something else I wanted to bring up in the same draft in the second round earlier on before Bronnie got drafted. This player had to do Kyle Philippowski got drafted to the Utah jazz at pick 30. I want to say 33. Yes. Okay. Why am I bringing up this random player that you've never heard of before? Well, it came up after he got drafted that. That is his his girlfriend. I think that's his girlfriend. But still, apparently, he's he dated a key dated a girl in high school. When she had already graduated college. Huh. So he was in high school. Dating a cut dating a girl who graduated college already so if you do the math. He was like maybe five years older than him. She 22 23 and he was probably 17. And now because of this girl. He doesn't talk to his parents. And one of the reasons why he dropped in in the draft stock was because in NBA interviews. He was very nervous and had nothing to say when the questions about his girlfriend came up. And now they're saying that he fell in the draft because he was groomed by this girl. I mean, listen, okay, so first of all, I just wish this is this is the Josh. This is the Josh Giddy effect. Yeah, that's true. These are teams. These are teams that don't want to be in that Josh Giddy situation. Well, that's why you that's why he got those questions coming up. Well, it's my thing. And I'm just going to go out here and say it. I just wish like the same predatory behavior that we look out for men was also upstanding for women as well. Because I'm just sick. I'm just so sick. Like, okay, if you're a man. Got it. You got to keep the same energy with the women as you do with the man. Brittany Renner. It's the same thing. Yeah, because it's like, in no way shape or form, no matter what gender you are, it's all a predatory behavior. But when you have, but when, okay, and when God, women do it. Okay, they get prosecuted. They get judged. Okay, as they should. I just am tired of seeing when women doing is all is all this whole. Oh, I'm like, oh, yeah, get your bag and did it. They're like, what? What if I like, okay, like, let's take this situation, right? This grown woman was basically grooming a teenage God. Okay, let them roles be reversed. That motherfucker will be charges would have been brought up at some point. Yeah, for sure. For sure. It's just, it's just all the way nasty. It's nasty. It's nasty on both sides. I don't give a. And then I'm a female in college. If you're a female in college, why the fuck would you be talking to a, to a nigga in high school? That's the million dollar question right there. So that's, you know, the, you know, she went to his prom. She was, again, she was probably 22, 23 years old going into going to prom with 17, 18 year olds around. And nobody just thought like this was, nobody, nobody felt the need to check her and be like, this is weird. Like, this is really weird. And especially like with her circle of friends and family, like nobody stopped her and said, like, yo, what the fuck you got going on? You get this and throw her in the same boat with Brittany Renner and Dre Michelle, like these women. Praying themselves on these young NBA players fresh out of college like. I mean, well, in this case, she prayed on this kid when he was in high school. When she, when she was, when she graduated college, it's just all the way weird. I don't give a fuck how bad they look in a bathing suit. I don't get listened. It's just. See, see, it's different because guys, you know, young, right. If, you know, if you're, if we were both 18. And I'm, and I'm dating, and I'm dating a girl. She's four or five years older than me, but, and she's bad. Like, she is beautiful. She's a fucking, you know, I'm saying. Yeah, you're going to be like, yeah, my friend, yo, Mike. That, yo, that's dope, bro. You bagged that man. Good. You know what I'm saying? You would hype it up. Yeah, you wouldn't even, you wouldn't even think twice about her age. But there's a side, you know, there's, there's people, you know, whether it's, I mean, it could be my family that think differently. It could be women that think differently. It could be, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, like somebody's going to come around you. And that's what's bothersome about this. Like, where is people's, like, concerns with shit like this, because, like, so you need to tell me nobody in our family started was odd that this person that can buy liquor and like, it's about to graduate college is going to a high school prom. Nobody sat there was like, Hey, sweetie, what it was, what you got going on? Like, why are you going to a high school prom? Like, you're about to graduate. You're about to graduate fucking college. Like, it's weird. It's fucking weird. And it's like, it really gives you the mindset like, shit like this wouldn't happen. Like, shit like this will still happen, unfortunately. But it will happen a whole lot less if you had a circle of people who actually gave a fuck. Yeah. Yeah. It's, well, he's going to Utah. And I guess he went to the right team, because, you know, they got their own little Mormon community out there of, you know. So he's going to the rights team for that. Right. So have a have a blast. Congratulations. I guess. I want to, I want to stay there for a bit and talk about Andrea Michelle. I sent you that story the other day and the headline is even hilarious. With this story says, you know, Dre Michelle who's like 40 years old. She got, you know, she got knocked up by 22 year old Jalen Green, you know, nasty all around, but besides that. Before that, she had dated a, she had dated a football, a football player quarterback, Tyrod Taylor. And so the story goes. He had promised her. That he was good. He verbally promised her that he was going to give her a house. And then I guess when they broke up. Well, I guess this happened after they broke up. He still promised to give her a house. But as soon as she started dating Jalen Green, he had a change of heart and was like, nah, I didn't give me this house no more. So now she's suing him because of it. Over over a verbal agreement. What are your thoughts? Again, I want to, I want to source the black sports online.com for a break in this story. I mean the level of brain right in that whole statement is like, okay, so. Girl, you can't afford your own home. That's my first day. You have been around the block. You've been, you've been a model. You've been in media. You've been on a reality show. You can't afford a home of your own. Well, I don't even think it's a question of money at this point. I just think like, honestly, it's just a stat is, it's just a sign of status because he could go around and say like, Hey, this guy bought me a house and did it at. Okay, cool, whatever. But here's my takeaway on this. It's like, it's like, first of all, they're going to throw this shit out of court. Like, there's no way that you're going to get rewarded. It's going to be 80 level money. And doesn't Jalen, how much didn't Jalen, I mean, I know he's still young, but I mean, he's going to get a super max. He's going to get a max deal. Why the fuck you got it? Why the fuck you got to sue your ex about this shit? Like, we're not together no more. Like, go, go, go, tell your current man, go tell your current man to get to buy you a house. This is broke. This is broke. I hate women like this. I hate women like this. I stay far the fuck away from women like this, for real. That is so materialistic, needy. And even like, where's her current boyfriend at? It's like, why are you tripping over where is Jalen? Like, why are you not going to jail it about this shit? Well, no, like, why is Jalen not coming at her? Like, yo, why are you pressing another man for something? Right? Like, now my name's attached to this story because we're together. Like, this is embarrassing. It's embarrassing. This is like this. I've never heard of a story like this before, an ex suing their other ex over a verbal, a verbal promise of buying a house for them, even though they ain't together no more. Well, I was like, I literally thought I was being clickbated. But no, this is a real story. This, oh my God, imagine being the imagine being her lawyer trying to come up with like a picture story like this to the judge. Imagine. Yeah, shout out to him because, yeah, he's got his work cut out because I'm trying to find, I'm going through the art. I'm trying to find that there's like something in the suit that. Okay, Dreyus says this is, this is a quote from the article. Dreyus says in the suit, she went on to offer Taylor, Tara Taylor, $2.8 million for the place. And when he countered at 3.2 in January 2024 she accepted. She claims she then poured nearly 300 grand into the residence, believing it would go toward the price she agreed to pay for the home. Dreyus thought surprisingly pulled the rug from under her recently is now threatening to evict her. She'd say he's also refusing to sell her to property. Oh, well, then that's kind of different. If you already put money into something. So wait a minute. This is like, this is like a tenant. This is like a tenant home owner situation. Talking about evict, talking about evicting her like. Oh no. I mean, but it's still like, I don't know because of verbal, I mean, but his word is going to get tricky because it's still a verbal agreement. Like, there was nothing signed on in paper. There was no documents saying that he's obligated to do any of these things. So, I mean, she still might not even have a case. It's challenging to prove a verbal contract that there's nothing written on paper like no signed sealed documents like it's this is like a he said she said situation. No, I don't know. I mean, bitch, get your own home, or get your, or get your current man to get your home like this is, this is still this is embarrassing nonetheless. It's really pitiful. Really is. Yeah, it's just, you just don't hear stuff like that. So thought we would touch on that. Where you want to go, where you want to go, where you want to go. Oh, one last thing NBA related so JJ read it gets hired to be the Lakers head coach. Right. Awesome moment, right. Then you got some fucking some shade butter, some shade butter bitch that tries to stomp on the moment. And accuse him. Accuse him for when, you know, he was over in Duke and she was over in Duke. You know, he called her the N were to her face. Back back when he was in college. So dating back to what 20 years almost since he was in college. Yeah, and the comment section pretty much lit her up saying like where, why do you wait all these years to now bring this story up. Because I mean, I have, listen, I have no, listen, I checked her page really fast. She's a Kendrick fan. So therefore you get a melt. Yeah. I mean, because one thing, and again, this is something that we're going to touch on here in a couple of days. A lot of Kendrick, I mean, it falls in line with Kendrick fans and Kendrick Lamar because it's like circumstantial situations like okay, you didn't think about this. Let's say for some, like the guy wasn't the guy was an NBA player for so many years. He's been an ESPN analyst. He's been on TV. Why, why didn't you come out and say anything then. Why now? And again, it's just all circumstantial situations because, okay. This man called like let's say this really did happen right. Let's just say he, he called, he really did call you the anywhere right hard or regular or whatever whatever whatever. You waited so long to save us and it's not like this guy's been hiding in a rock. I mean, he's been outside, obviously. Like, but it's just like, you know, what the whole Kendrick thing just got to milk something and you got to strike when it's hot like, like, I guess, I mean, it's really just hypocritical. Honestly, I mean, if it was, I'm sure it was an issue 20 years ago when when he allegedly said that to your face, you could have made it up. You could have went in report. You don't wait that long. Yeah, I just like, yeah, I hate people like this. I don't give a fuck who it is. I hate people that do this that try to like, you know, that that pull such corny corny, some corny shit like that for real. It's, all right, like, here you go. Here's all the retweets in the comments and here's this, this is what you wanted this is the engagement you wanted. Okay, cool. You got your, you got your one day of being famous and now you're just back to being who you were prior. So, you know, I mean, listen, cause at the end of the day, I mean, what, like, what, what would you want to get out of this like, yeah, what did you, what did you want, you wanted, you wanted the Lakers to like, oh shit, someone accused you of this. We got to let you go. There's nothing. There's no merit towards it because no one else heard it. No, like, there has been no other JJ rhetoric has never been accused of anything like this before, from what I, from what I know. He has he's never been accused by teammates. Other like, you know, like just individuals period. Like, just. Oh my god, honestly, who gives a fuck if he, if he's the missing ingredient to have the Lakers overcome the nuggets in the playoffs. And shit, I might just call you the N word. I mean, listen, at the end of the day. People, if this, if they read it has the secret sauce for, for the Lakers to beat, to finally beat the nuggets in the playoffs. Shit, we all are going to be calling this woman the N word. I mean, because, because at the end of the day, it's just another person, you know, because we see like shit like this all the time, as soon as somebody gets a little motion for themselves. Oh, this is really a bad person. This is really a bad person. We shouldn't be. He shouldn't be having no success. And, you know, shut up. Yeah, where's your success? Shut the fuck up. Like, you're just mad because you failed at what you were, what you seeked out to be. That's why you're just jealous. You're mad. Go be mad. Go be mad in silence. We don't want to hear that. Right. Like, come on now. Like, again, like, um, we want to go next. Oh, you know what? I didn't bring this up last week. Because I want, I wanted to wait to see the numbers for this week. So, AEW last week for for June 19 on Juneteenth had its lowest viewership in history. In history for a further dynamite episode. Right. So this is, this is an article from inside the ropes. AEW side of my ratings have hit an all-time low. The June 19 episode of AEW dynamite feature, the in ring, in ring return of MJF, a face off between surfs with surfs, strictly in and will off spray, ahead of their forbidden door match. And multiple matches in the men's and women's own hard foundation tournament. The action wasn't enough to entice viewers. However, as the episode garnered the lowest ever rating for a non preempted show in dynamite history. Okay. Programming insider reports that the June 19 episode dynamite had a total average viewership of 502,000 people and an 0.16, and an 0.16 rating in the key 18 to 49 year old demographics, according to Wrestlenomics. That marks a 26% decrease from the previous week average viewership of 681,000. Man. I mean, they, they really hit an all time low. And the question you have to ask yourself is like, what do you do from here? Like, I mean, I mean, what do you do as booking as Tony, kind of like to even try to, because the thing is it's like, first of all, like, WWE's been on fire so like your concern shouldn't be with like trying to even compete with them. It's just trying to get people to get a, you were back then, not too long ago, a couple years ago, you guys were averaging over 800,000 views, viewership on your dynamite episodes. This right here. And of course, a rep for AEW said that because it was a holiday. They, they, they used an excuse of like, Oh, well, Juneteenth. So that's why nobody was watching. I mean, okay, so if we're going to go with that excuse, we got to see what next week's number or this. Well, because this is why this is why I waited until the next week to see what the numbers would be. So, here it goes. This is from Wrestle Inc. AEW is only four days away from its next pay-per-view forbidden door. However, following dynamite's abysmal viewership from last week, June 19, which posted the show's lowest ever rating in a normal Wednesday time slot. When the producing impressive numbers was likely a high priority. Luckily for the company, things didn't prove drastically from the previous week. According to Wrestle Nomics dynamite drew 680,000 views on average with an 0.22 18 to 49 rating, which is a 35% uptick overall from the, from the previous down 26% down tick. So they improved, they improved. However, the company is still down from their quarter to average. As their average June viewership sits at 663,000 compared to 712,000 for 2024 second quarter. So, I mean, even more unfortunate is AEW's June 2024 viewership is down 23% from last year. So, I mean, yeah, okay, they're back up to what they normally are doing. But still, if you're going by their, their history, they've been losing fans. They have been losing viewership. And I think a lot of that. Here's, here's my theory about that. I think it's not so much that I think a lot of it has to do with where WWE is at right now, as far as a company because let's go back in the time machine and come up and I don't want to bring me. I, I, I, hold on, hold on, just let me just let me do the cook, because I'm not going to, well, you're cooking. Because here's what, here's what I was going to say, we go back a couple years right when AEW was first announced like the biggest thing was a lot of people just wanted a better product from everywhere else, you know. And now that they're getting that it's like, okay, I can go here and get a way better product. So, and there, and these guys aren't producing what they used to. So, let me go back over here where, or, or everything is, you know, smiles and harm on cars. That's what I think. All right, I'm not eating what you're cooking. And here's why. So, I went in, and I haven't watched, and I haven't, I haven't been watching AEW. I'm just going to say it up front, because the product has has not been intriguing enough for me to tune in. So, when I heard about the record low viewership, I went in, I watched, you know, that June 19 episode I went back to see, well, why do they lose so many views. Bro, bro. Where do I begin? Like MJF, he starts, he wrestles a nobody. Some random jobber I've never heard of before for like 20 minutes. And this jobber is like kicking MJF assets certain points in the match. Like, no, this, this is not how it should be, especially an MJF's return match. You know, not somebody who's like main event for your company, he should not be getting his ass kicked by no jobber that no one doesn't know like that's ridiculous. It doesn't make sense. And then, in between that okay you had some Owen Hart matches, they were cool, they were fine. Nothing's nothing crazy. And then you had the will off spray swerve Strickland face off for their upcoming title match swerve Strickland he's been the champion for what at least couple months now three months. He is still not over with the crowd. He is still not over. The crowd ain't fucking with him as there's he's the champion and the crowd ain't feeling it. They're cheering for will all spray. Will all spray is so over with the crowd like he sounds good on the microphone he could talk like swerve. I like his wrestling but I mean he's just four on the mic. Maybe that's why he's not over with the fans. It's just not a good look. It's not a good look and that's your champion. That's supposed to be the face of your company. What else did I draw out of here. Oh, I'm sick of seeing I'm sick of seeing Chris Jericho. I'm sick of looking at him. Yeah, and I don't know why he just doesn't let that gimmick die. Let it die. The young bucks are still not intimidating as heels. And they're wasting ocadas. They're wasting ocadas time. All that all that forbidden door stuff with new Japan none of these none of these Japanese wrestlers are making a name for themselves in a w. Like they're doing a really poor job. A really poor job at introducing new talent. They really are. As opposed to now I bring up WWE in this instance. They just had a fire smack on an episode with the bloodline. And this this far to kid like he's really been making an impact for them. He's done more in the two weeks he's been on television than ocada has been doing in the months he's been on television for for dynamite. And yet he's getting and yet he's getting paid supposedly five million bucks. Tony Khan is just losing millions of dollars. Giving out all, you know, to these mid-carters. Like there is not enough superstar blood in that company. Like there is not enough star power in that company. That's what I've realized watching that episode. The crowd ain't feeling it. They had a pipe in fake chairs. That was pathetic at certain like certain entrance entrance music. When they came on I had a pipe. They had a pipe in crowd noises. Like that's like so bad. That is so bad. I mean, well, where do you go from here? I mean, there's no like, I don't see nobody coming to your company anytime soon. I don't know. Well, yeah, because there's no well, what was Tony doing for like a year and a half, two years he was signing a fired WWE guys. That's what he was doing. He's not, he's not building talent within the company. MJF is the exception. Okay. Like that's really it. Orange people are sick of seeing orange Cassidy that his gimmick is old as hell. Darby Allen. He's another one. Like it's just. That's it. Those are the three names that are within that that have been day one with the company that have been that have stuck around. I mean, it's just the question is just what do you do because as a person that's still from I'm like really over here suffering right now because I got to see y'all in the mud. Yeah. And to be honest, the low viewers, you having these low viewership right before your pay per view is is coming up. Not a good look. This is what I say. This is my main thing like slowly start to weed out all your old, the old guys, the old talent, the people that shouldn't be on TV every single fucking week and start building your stars because his. Because this is why eventually WCW closes doors, because you have people like it was it was it was a plethora thing. It was the goofy. I mean, they haven't gone too far left yet, but the goofy the goofy writing and the shenanigans. That was like one of the parts but yeah, like you're giving way too much power to these older experience wrestlers like Chris Jericho should not be getting that much airtime. No, like he should be like more of a once in a blue moon character like how they had Jake the snake come out like, I mean, Jake Jake the snake couldn't wrestle because of, you know, health issues. They got to put some validity back in your world title man and like you had some over Joe being the title holder and people weren't really fucking with it. And now swerve is the title holder and people are still not fucking with it it's like damn like, what's it going to take a while. I guess will because again the crowd likes will off spray even though he's supposed to be the heel. As there have been a scenario where the heel is getting more love from the crowd than the than the than the baby face. I mean there's been instances of that happening, you know, but that's bad but that ain't good. That ain't good. You're right. There have been instances but like the thing when Samoa Joe. I mean when when when swerve was challenging Joe for the title swerve was getting the love from the fans over Joe. Right. Yeah. And it's like as soon as swerve won over Joe. The fans turned on like the the fans turned on Swerve Strickland instantly or near instantly. That should that should not have happened. That should not happen. And Swerve had a lot of momentum going in. He did. He did. Like what happened. I think what really killed it is because out of nowhere for absolutely no reason or no true build. And you can kind of blame booking for this like why would one of his first major feuds be with Christian of all people. Right. Right. I mean hang it. I mean MJF was still injured. Hangman page. He's coming back. He was injured too. Yeah, it's just not enough. It's not enough star power or not. Well, the guys that are healthy. There's not enough star power over there. It's just not. It's really not. I mean what the hell happened with Rusev. What the hell happened with him. He's on and off for like. Oh, he's been off. He's been off. No, he'll come back for like two to like his last match was his last match was with Hobbes I believe. Bro, how it doesn't make sense to how Ethan Page who was on AEW for a long time. Well, for a couple of years, few years, he goes to NXT and all of a sudden he has he has popped now. Oh, since but that shows you the power of booking. It also shows you the power of booking because I mean like the book and the book would the way and exceed booked him and just even how he arrived at NXT. It made him feel like a star. I mean, it's possible to get over, but for a person, a new talent to get over, you got to have to have a company that's willing to back you up on whatever decisions you try to make. And another thing to another thing to that whole forbidden door thing that they had over WWE. That's over with, because now you have NXT and TNA crossing over. And Jordan Grace, who is the TNA women's champion. She's getting a huge pop from the NXT crowd anytime she makes an appearance. So she's gotten more, she's gotten more cross over company success than any of the new Japan wrestlers in AEW, including Okada. Yeah, like again, it's all about presentation. Like, okay, here's a great example of this. This happened recently. Joe Hendrix made the, you know, his. Yes, he did. And this was a guy that I feel like NXT backed up. It was like, hey, this is what, if this is what you want to do, well back you up on it. And he was able to naturally get fans on his side. Yeah, to the point where even other people who don't watch TNA will either watch TNA or at least watch out for this guy. And now it's just like, and now it's just like he's super over. Like, he can pop up and draw and like the arena will probably erupt. Yeah, that's right. You're absolutely right. It's just better booking. It's just putting, putting new talent in better storylines, you know, and giving them better competitors to face, just off rip. So, yeah, I mean, I just thought it was interesting. I want the company to succeed, but they're not doing themselves any favors and Tony's just keeps, he just keeps just throwing money. He keeps burning money away. It's like, it's nothing. I mean, eventually, money could be, it could be drying up. It's going to run out. Either that or his, his, his NFL owner father is going to say, Hey, listen, son, this shit needs to come to an end because this ain't a money maker. This is a money loser right here. So, hopefully doesn't get there. We'll see. That's, I think that's it. That's all I got in my notes for today. That's all you got. One last one last topic. And I'm speaking of NXT somebody who was recently on NXT. We have to talk about this. So, earlier this week or last week, I should say, sexy red was in a back and forth. Well, what is the king bond sisters. Okay. Basically over the fact that they are both messing around with chief Keith. Now, why would I be talking about this? It's because it's just so ratchet. Like the first thing I've seen they popped up on my. Anything sexy, right. Anything sexy, right related is more likely. It's, it's likely a ratchet story. Like she's basically bragging about how her and her friend just got it. Well, not her friend, but her and this woman just had to basically share some dick now. And I'm just saying back then. Yeah. I mean, sexy red, sexy red could have him, you know, on the weekends, you know, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. And, you know, this, this woman could have him. Monday through Wednesday, Thursday. Oh, Jesus Christ. That's cool. Yeah, that's shared custody in a nutshell. Yeah. Jesus Christ. Oh, man. I prayers for chief, Keith. I prayers for him. He just wanted this and man. He just wanted to just fuck in silence. He didn't want none of this. None of this to get out, obviously, you know. It's really never our business on like who's fucking who or who's sharing who, you know, I mean, like. But, you know. I mean, what people be in their field, people be in their feelings. That's why people be in their feelings. It's just so fucking weird. Like, oh, anything. Oh, if it's, you don't think anything sexy related is weird. Oh, no, all this shit is weird ratchet, messy. Like, man, like, if only one day you tell me, hey, my, did you hear sexy red? Like cancer, like give me sexy red. Yeah, sexy red gave back to the community by, you know, building a school or something. Like just, that's the story. I'm waiting. That's the sexy red news I'm waiting on. I mean, I doubt we would get that, but Jesus fucking Christ. Hey, man. Anything. Hey, it's a Hail Mary, right? A Hail Mary shot. I mean, I suppose. Nice. Shout out to shout out to all parties involved and involved with each other. So, I mean, enjoy, I guess. Like, what the fuck is that? I guess. Yeah. Oh, man. All right. Well, yeah, that's about it. That, that, that a do it. That is everything. That is all the listed. That's all she wrote. That's all she wrote. That was so much nasty work on this. I hope people have toilet paper. It's on standby. Like, this is like three o'clock. I just ate Taco Bell coming from the bar. Oh, yeah. It's one of the, it was one of those. Before we go, we have a special episode coming this week, probably on Wednesday special episode. Make sure you guys tune in if you can. Middle of the week, very rare, very rare pod that, you know, that we do, but we felt it was warranted to do it. So please tune in and. Yeah. More content in the next couple of days coming your way. Oh, yeah, we were like, we're back. I mean, don't, I mean, the once a week thing is pretty cool, but it, it's time to start feeding the streets. I mean, last year, like, shoot. We're going to do that. We're going to do that. We're going to do that for sure. You know, definitely going to give you all more content because, ultimately, we feel like we're doing a disservice by doing that once a week, you know. Yeah. Yeah. So, oh, yeah, because we're around it around this time last year, we was talking about the crash out of Mariah Mills. And then let's not forget when we drop like three episodes and like literally one week. Yeah. But I mean, we also have to, you know, also put into the fact that, you know, you and I are busy, we have lives. You know, I have, I have a wife, you have a kid, you have, we have jobs. So that, that is above that. That is all above this, you know, like priorities, priorities, but, you know, we're definitely going to double back and give you all a special episode this week. So please tune in. And the meantime, in between time, like I always said, it's 10 cents for compassion 10 cents for human decency is a five cents to act on it. That's the quarter of the day. And for the million dollar dream. This is your boy Pimp. We're out. See you guys on Wednesday.
