Welcome back to the show everyone. I'm now joined by Erica Butler to talk about her business, Blue Ridge Eating Disorder Care Center. How are you doing this morning Erica? Hi, thanks so much for having me, I'm doing great. I'm glad to hear it. Now Erica, would you mind giving us a bit of a rundown of what you guys do over at your business? Sure, so Blue Ridge Eating Disorder Care Center is a 16-bed residential treatment facility for teenage girls with a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder. And how long have you been doing all this for? Yeah, so I've been working in eating disorders personally for the last few years, but Blue Ridge, I actually opened it November of 2023, so we actually accepted our first young lady into our program around Thanksgiving last year. And what would you say inspired you to pursue this as your full-time passion in business? Yeah, so I mean Blue Ridge, really I opened it because I feel like Pennsylvania, so I was born in Pennsylvania, raised in Pennsylvania, I feel like has a lack of eating disorder care. And I definitely feel like that's everywhere, not just Pennsylvania, but when you grow up somewhere you really realize that there is a lack of specialized care for teenagers with eating disorders, so I really wanted to give back to the community I grew up in and create a resource, especially because where we're at in Salersburg, it's very rural, and I feel like a lot of eating disorder facilities are in big cities, and I feel like folks that live rural deserve quality mental health care, and eating disorders are a big passion of mine along with working with families. So I felt like it was a beautiful intersection to be able to do both, so we're really happy to be here. And is there anything else you'll like our listeners to know about you or your business? Sure, yeah, so we are here, so we're in Salersburg, we are accepting young women into our facility, we do take a number of insurance, so our website is Blue Ridge Treatment dot com, and all of the insurances you take are on the website as well as a number to get in touch with us, and we do offer a free assessment. I do all of our assessments, so if you're listening and you're not sure, you know, what level of care your daughter or your loved one would need, I'm happy to give a free assessment and either recommend, you know, our program or if your child, you know, needs something different, I'm well connected with different facilities, I'm pretty nationally so I'm happy to make recommendations as well.
