[MUSIC PLAYING] Better strap yourself in. It's time for the Howie Car Show. This is a live look at the White House. Can you see inside the windows to see what the discussion is in there today? Stay f*cking calm! Wait, wait, wait. What are you f*cking calm down? As you all know, and many of you reached out during the debate, the president had a cold. And the cold thing is something that you all pointed out during his debate. We didn't even point that out. You all pointed that when you heard his voice being forced. He's quoting you. It's your worst. Live from the Matthew's Brothers Studios. I think it's-- again, it's just getting a little silly here that we're talking about one night. Those are clap in here. But why are we letting that continue to make the news? Yeah. [INAUDIBLE] [INAUDIBLE] In this presidential campaign. Where, yes, he had a bad night. My name is Joe Biden. I'm a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate. Rump swabs, hacks, and moon bounce beware. It's-- [MUSIC PLAYING] How we car. One thing we know is that the interview, the taped interview, keyword taped, interview with George Steffy. Stephanopoulos is not going to drive him out of the race on Friday. Steffy may be even a bigger Democrat operative with a press pass, a bigger hack than Jake Tapper and Chuck Todd combined. He is so shameless. And it's just not-- they're not going to-- and David Mirror and Martha Raditz and all ABC is-- well, it's hard to say it's worse than NBC. NBC is right up there too. But it's a place to go if you want a slobbering tongue bath. George Stephanopoulos is a fluffer for the Democrats. That's all there is to it. 844, 500, 42, 4844, 500, 42, 42, 71, if you think about Hunter, he'll never let Joe drop out because he needs Joe's behind the scenes help for his September trial date. And after-- listen, I think you can pardon people in advance. I mean, didn't Gerald Ford pardon Richard Nixon before he could be indicted? I don't think that's a problem. I mean, he may have to pay some kind of fine or something. And they'll get Zelinski or someone from China to pay the fine when he's convicted on the income tax evasion charges. I don't know what-- he's not concerned about that. I mean, I can't believe he's seriously concerned about that. If he is, his mind is more damaged by the drugs and the booze and everything else than I anticipated. Because he's got no problems. Bannon's got more problems doing-- three months and 28 days or whatever it is. Because he can't get out of it. He's just going to be stuck there in jail, just like Navarro has been stuck in Miami and the only misdemeanor in a prison full of federal felons. Anyway, the GOP just sent this out, the most expensive Independence Day on record. Remember when they didn't-- didn't they do the first year Biden was a president after his selection, after his installation as president. They talked about how wonderful it was and the price of baked beans had gone down. But you know, ribs, hot dogs, hamburgers, potatoes-- but the price of baked beans had gone down. So it was a victory. Save 16 cents on a single slice of American cheese. OK. Well, here it is. This is from the Republican National Committee. The cost of a 4th of July cookout is up 5% from last year and up 30% from five years ago. 30%-- this is going to be the most expensive 4th of July on record according to the-- oh, this is according to the American Farm Bureau. OK. It's not the Republicans. They just picked it up. Ground beef up 11%, hamburger buns up 7%, lemonade up 12%, ice cream 7%, chips or up 8%. Well, food costs continue to rise. Farm income is dropping, falling 17% last year and is expected to decrease another 25% this year. Yeah. The Biden White House claimed that a barbecue price had gone down 16 cents from 2020 to 2021. The same meal, according to the American Farm Bureau, has gone up $11.72. Overall, tomorrow, it will cost $71.22 to host a cookout for 10 people compared to less than $55 per panic. Americans are estimated to spend $9.4 billion on food this weekend compared to $6.5 billion in 2019. And it's not only food, it's not only those burgers of the chips, the price of illegal fireworks has gone up. The average import price of fireworks in 2024 is $1.61 a pound, up 42% from 2021. Gas prices. June 2019, gas prices were hovering around $2.75 a gallon. Today, they're averaging $3.50 a gallon and they're expected to rise. Hotel price is up 13%. The cost of eating out is up 30%. Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. But Joe Biden gets up every morning. And he goes to work for the American people. Least the-- or it's true me, the Chinese people and the Ukrainian people who were in America picking up their payoffs or delivering payoffs to the Biden family. 844, 542, 42. Let's play a couple of cuts from KJP coming up with new words, cut 26. I would say I don't think it's a new excuse. I think some of you, some of your colleagues reached out to us about the schedule. Some of your colleagues asked if the schedule was too strenuous or was it because of the jet lag? Some of you asked if the schedule was too strenuous. I'm going to guess that's not a direct quote, KJP. Too strenuous. Is English her first language cut 25? Is there a morale issue? Yeah, it's a fair question. And I do have a couple of things I want to say. As you just said, the chief of staff, Jeff Science, did have an all staff call. He wanted to gather the team across the building and acknowledge what the president said himself, right? That the last few days have been challenging. We've been very, very clear in acknowledging that. In acknowledging and acknowledging that. Acknowledging, acknowledging that. OK. I think perhaps the schedule is a little too strenuous for a KJP. She needs to take Independence Day off. This is the question that was asked by James Rosen of Newsweek formally a fox that really irritated the hell out of them at the White House today. Cut 22. Does he have a duty to review what's happening now? When you say a duty-- can you say more about the duty piece? He's absolutely running. Yeah. Well, he's saying that. And I'm sharing with you his view. And we would invite the president to come here and tell us that directly. Noted, noted, cannoted, cannoted. But he's awake. That's inappropriate. As you heard from your colleague, the president of the WHA, that's inappropriate. Thank you, Kelly. If he's awake, 774. What about cocaine and call girls? What's the price difference between now and four years ago asking for a friend? 201. How does inflation affect Hunter's paintings? You know what's got to really affect Hunter's paintings is if Joe is no longer the president. If you've ever been to a garage sale where they got one of those little stickers on it and says $0.10, you'll say, I haven't got $0.10. I'll give you a penny. OK. OK. But you've got to take two. If you give me a penny, you've got to take two of them. Cindy, you're next with how we car. Go ahead, Cindy. Hey, Howie, longtime loyal listener. And I've been to Trump's distance. Trump used to go on the fake news today's show with a moonbat host when they were trying to see if he was going to run for president. I just wanted to say that-- listen to a lot of things to cover, but one thing is I have a prediction on FJB. Yeah. I guarantee you, it's pretty soon he's not going to come down for breakfast. I don't know. Sometimes when you're in that condition, you can linger on for any number of years. I don't think that's going to be a problem for him. But I don't know where he's going to be getting his breakfast. I would say the long-term memory wing is calling him. And I guarantee if Trump gets back in and they do open an investigation, as I think they should, I think the Justice Department should investigate the racketeering enterprises that Biden's crime family has been engaged in, you know damn well, he's going to make the same excuse that Robert Herr, the special counsel made for him, which is his two senile to stand trial. That didn't work for Vincent the Chin Giganti, the head of one of the crime families in New York. You know, he used to pad around Greenwich Village and his bedroom slippers and a bathrobe. It would be more believable for Biden, though, after the last four years. Thanks for the call, Cindy. 844-542-42. Allergy season is in full swing. Today's poll question is brought to you by Perfect Smiles. Don't be fooled by imposters with similar names. If you're unhappy with your smile, you need to visit Dr. Bruce Houghton in Nashville. Call 1-844-a-perfect-smile or visit PerfectSmiles.com. Jared, what's the poll question? What are the results thus far? Today's poll question, which you can vote in at HowieCarShow.com, is what's the most ridiculous excuse for Joe Biden's catastrophic debate. He had a cold jet lag, his grueling pace, or overpreparation. Again, grueling pace, that's the New York Times. Overpreparation is James Clyburn, and jet lag and cold. Those are out of the White House press office. Jet lag being the new one today. I'm going with the new one, jet lag. Jet lag is now at 14%. 50% say grueling pace, 20% for overpreparation, 16% for the cold. All right. 844-500-4242, as they asked yesterday, well, he had a cold. Was he taking any medication? No. Really? He's 81 years old. He has a physician on call 24 hours a day. They didn't give him anything for a cold. Kathy, you're next with HowieCar. Go ahead, Kathy. Hi. First time, call a long time listener. Thank you. I am a little confused about food prices. Yes. I'm 77 years old. And my grocery bill runs me under $200 a month. And I eat tea bone steaks. I eat filling them in young. I eat spare ribs. I eat all that stuff. I eat fresh vegetables and fruits. And I'm less than $200. I don't know if people just don't know how to show up. Yeah, but wouldn't you say, Kathy, wouldn't you say prices have gone up a lot since Trump was president? Well, yeah, how many people are you feeding, by the way, in your house? How many in your household? That's me. And I spend less than $200. I spend about $150, $175 a month. Yeah, I'm going to say that you probably won't spend more than $100 or $120 when Trump was president. Thanks for the call, Kathy. David, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, David. Howie, nice to talk to you again. Thank you. I tried to call in yesterday, but I had to break away to go help my wife. I have 20 years experience of Parkinson's caring. Yeah. It is what is going on. Do you know what Parkinson's actually is? I'll make it cool. Quickly, go ahead. Okay. Part of the brain dies and the dopamine is the electrical connection between that part of the brain and all of your muscles in your body. There is no blood test, nothing that neurologists do to prove it. They just look at you. It is so subjective, it isn't funny. The only thing they can do is give you this levodopa, carvidopa. For my wife, it puts her out to sleep five times a day, about an hour after she takes it. Well, again, they're obviously very concerned about the fact that people like you that are familiar with this disease are seeing the same symptoms in Biden because they mentioned it a very high up in this New York time story and they mentioned it over and over again and they went back to the White House physician and he gave one of those weasily type answers. There are no indications of Parkinson's disease, but as you if what you say is true, there are no indications is you just, you know, you can't test someone's blood. Is that right? You can't test someone's blood. You can't do anything like that. That's exactly right. That's it. It's subjective. They just look at you. The same doctor, my wife sees every six months or a year has her stand up, walk around, touch her fingers together, tap her feet, touch his nose or his finger and touch her nose and she does this while she's shaking and every time we go, the condition is different because the medication evolves so much. I mean, I had to make time cubes to rotate them around so we could see, oh, yes, it was three hours ago. It's time to take your meds again. You can't rotate all the time. Well, you know, this is nothing new to deny that a president has a disease. I mean, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and the wheel in the wheelchair, Woodrow Wilson and the, you know, having a stroke, they there were stories written when JFK was president that he had Addison's disease, totally true, totally true. And they denied them just like they're denying that Biden has Parkinson's disease, just like they're denying that, you know, FDR Woodrow Wilson had problems. This is, this is the, the, the MO, at least, and now that I think about it, all four of those presidents, I mentioned world Democrats. Thanks for the call, David. Harry, you're next with how we car go ahead, Harry. Hi, real quick question, actually, then I'll let you answer. Don't you think it would be better for Biden to stay in there so that we would have him to defeat rather easily rather than a stronger alternative? Yes, I totally agree. I think, and I think if you, I think anybody who thinks it through would, would decide that. I, I don't think you can, there are certain things you can't unsee, you know, that's just the way it is. And, and no, there are 50 million people watch that debate and God only knows how many more saw the low lights of it. You can't unsee Biden freezing up like that over and over and over again. I noticed that woman from the Congresswoman from Washington state, she said that, she, she said, I watched that debate. Well, I watched the first five minutes of the debate, but that's all you had to watch because he said, that's what he said. He said in the first five minutes, didn't he? We beat Medicare. I mean, what, what more do you need to see, you know, it got, it got worse. But that's, that's all you needed. And I, I totally agree with you, Harry. I, I hope he's, I, I hope he stays in there. Knock on wood three, three, three says, Biden has malarkins and he's, he's, the New York Post has this thing every week, whoopers in the news. They should have called it malarkey in the news. I'll, I'll read it to you later on. We got Turtle Boy coming up next, I'm Howie Carr. Live from the Matthews Brothers Studios, it's been about 48 hours since the verdict a mistrial hung jury in the Karen Reed murder case and the fallout continues and we just wanted to check in with Turtle Boy, Aidan Carney to see what he's hearing, what's, what's going on. Turtle Boy, thanks for being with us here on the eve of the 4th of July. Thanks for having me, Howie. Listen, tell, tell us about what happened in your parents' house in, in, in Worcester. Is that it? Is that a true story? That's a true story, unfortunately, Howie, on the day of the verdict, I was notified by somebody. They were just looked into the scanner and they said, unfortunately, that they had driven by and heard that a hurt, like a, a huge turtle was found hanging from a noose on my parent's house and there was a sure without, with a hole through it. I don't know if it was used. They did it after the fact of what, but pretty disturbing. Where do you get a, where do you get a large turtle? I don't know. The wild? I don't know where you go. Look for a large turtle. I don't know. Plymouth Redbelly turtles. They're an endangered species. That would be a federal crime, I think. I don't know. That's horrible, though. One thing, Howie. I mean, the Worcester police are doing an excellent job and they're doing, they've gone door to door, canvassing, after neighbors looking for surveillance videos. So basically the Worcester police have done 10 times the amount of investigation for a turtle than the Canton and State Police did for John O'Keefe. That's what I'm getting from this. Yeah. Good Lord. So what do you, now, you know, I heard, I heard on Sunday actually before the verdict came down, someone I know called me and he said they were leaning towards a guilty verdict. And then, then after the verdict, I heard from a totally different guy who wasn't talking to the first guy that he said it was 10 to 2 to convict. And then I heard from a globe. I heard from a globe guy who, you know, who's not speaking to the same people as me, hit her at 10 to 2 as well. I mean, it is the- Yeah. So the 10 to 2 lie all started with crazy Wendy Murphy and her stupid son, Grant Smith Ellis. The other ones that started the 10 to 2 lie. And if you look at it, he actually, I think Grant Smith Ellis said something to the extent of that one of the jurors just doesn't, one of the two just doesn't believe in incarceration or something like that. And if it was actually copy and pasted from another tweet from January under one of Jessica Machado's tweets, some guy serves on a jury in which it was 10 to 2 in favor of conviction in whatever case he was working on and that one of the jurors didn't believe in incarceration. It was literally copy and pasted. I mean, this is how rumors start. And of course, this idiot from the globe spread it because that's all they do is spread misinformation. To this data, I am quite certain that a single juror has actually spoken out. I am working on it. I actually have the name of the foreman. I'm attempting to reach him. I'm in talks with somebody who knows one of the other jurors and they're thinking about whether or not they want to talk to me on on or off the record. But as of right now, there's no verified sources to know the exact vote count inside that room. Well, now Sean McDonough, I hit him on the show yesterday and he said that what he had heard was that they just threw out the murder to count immediately as soon as they got in the the liberation room. But I mean, if they if they had done, I don't I'm not sure I believe that either because I mean, I love Sean, but that doesn't make any sense because it's like you could still acquit on the biggest charge and then hang on the two others like that's a step you're allowed to do that. Right. It's not all or nothing. Right. So I hope I hope somebody runs it get runs these jurors down because I'd like to you know, somebody did run one of the jurors down. She ran down juror number, I call her juror number 13. She's one of the two alternates that was chosen that day and what I do know is the fact how it is the only thing we do know is that the only juror who has actually gone on record of the 15 who they have throughout the entire proceedings, the only one that has gone on record has said that she would have voted not guilty and she was made an alternate on the final day of deliberations. We do know that the two others who are viscerally and obviously in favor of not guilty, one of them was dismissed that day by the judge after the state police reported to the judge canoni that she had been talking about the case at a bar the state. Did you know the state police are in charge of the jury? I didn't know that the state that that's wild. So this woman who had been making faces with Michael Proctor was just absolutely disgusted the faces she made. She's the one that mouth what when Joe Paul gave his version of the accident reconstruction when he was speaking to the crime scene yeah right right and so like so she made it very obvious that she didn't believe any of this coincidentally the day the last day of deliberations they decided that she couldn't be on the jury anymore because she had supposedly said when and she disputes this she did not look happy that supposedly she had said something at the bar a month prior and it was just reported to canoni that day by the state police. The same state police who were inside that courtroom and could see her reactions to their testimony to Michael Proctor and to Joe Paul's testimony coincidentally she was kicked out and then the next two they had a lottery to kick out the next two and the two people who were chosen at random were also you know visually and obviously in favor of not guilty. Now one of them has come out on the record to think that these are also the same three jurors that were spoken to by Judge Canoni about a couple of weeks prior when they dismissed another juror they had reported another juror for talking about this case with them on the bus and so they reported her and those are the three exact women who happen to be chosen. If you were to pick we did the math out it's one in four hundred fifty five that those would be the three jurors that were left out of this. So I smocean antigens I smell it set up I'm not saying that they were a McAlbert plant on the jury. What I am saying is that the three people who made it obvious that they were going to vote to a quick time read were all eliminated at the last second. Well we got to gee someone's got to get to those to one of the jurors who was actually one of the twelve who was in the in the room to tell us the way it was breaking down. So you know they've got now now Proctor has been thrown out of the the detectives unit at the Norfolk County Sheriff District Attorney's office now how can these other people last the people that were getting these texts from him and you know in one case his sorry the sergeant Yuri was was responding back with a like when he was saying all these terrible things I mean what why aren't they why aren't they booted as well yet. That's a great question Lieutenant Fanning was on that list and I'm told that he has something to do with the jury too and they all approved this. So this whole speech that Colonel Vaughn gave yesterday I mean it's nonsense he got up there and he's just like we need to you know this is not representative of the state police it is though it is it is a culture that is it is in the state police because you all were on like Michael Proctor felt comfortable writing those messages in a group message to his superiors in his fellow officers he felt no shame this probably goes on all the time God knows what they say about other people I mean just as just can't read imagine what they say about all sorts of defendants so this is a cultural thing and if you're called with the Legion Dusa story six years ago right yes the only person who lost their job in that was Lee and do so but you know the drug dealer money launderer she didn't hire herself like other people weren't they knew about her path and hired her anyway right she's only she should have gone down but she's only one and gave and gave her a great assignment to I mean the people had to work people had to work for half the work for years to get on the canine unit that's a that's a plush assignment and she just went there immediately so this is the way of the state police right these people break the law their fellow troopers look the other way and their bosses look the other way and they allow it and then they get caught red handed in the media get the hold of it and they're like oh my god that how horrible we that is not acceptable that is not appropriate we're gonna get rid of them they're a bad person which they are but they're only doing this because they got caught and by the way why did they wait until the day after the mistrial to do it they had all this information a long time ago because they wanted Karen Reid to be convicted they couldn't have this information come out during the trial but you know now they now they have to deal with Brian Walsh she was the lead investigator in an even more atrocious crime than John O'Keefe's death this the woman that was dismembered by her her husband who was a career criminal an art for art theft thief and now they now they they got to have to deal with Proctor's absence there and was pro Proctor was also involved in the Sandra Burchmore case was he not I don't know if he's involved in Burchmore Garino is involved in that and Fanning was involved in that now Matthew Dunn was as well but he definitely was the lead investigator in the Brian Walsh case which involved Google searches and when I was in jail I actually I left a note under Brian Walsh's cell door so I'm every day and I wrote a note I go do you know about this Michael Proctor guy and would you like to do an interview with me Larry Kipton wouldn't let him do it but I'm still open for it if they want to talk not that he's not guilty or anything like that but I'm saying that like his whole case right now I mean Michael Proctor is the greatest gift that ever happened to him and so am I quite frankly by exposing everything that this guy did to Karen Reid and John O'Keefe and if that guy gets off on a technicality because that and this searches you search for like how to chop up 115 pound body if you need to like on his gift iPad now I you know you know now that we've had 48 hours to think about it do you do you really think that they're going to try to retry her or was this just a way to you know say we're going to do it and then just hope that the heat ties down and then in three weeks they're going to just say you know forget about it they have they have no shame and it would be a political nightmare if they didn't retry it like they have to retry it because how are they going to explain that to the O'Keefe family oh yeah sorry we're just giving up we're going to voluntarily throw in the towel no they part of their whole shtick is is fooling the O'Keefe family and making them think and giving them hope that like there's a chance of conviction here and that they're trying their best that they throw in the towel the O'Keefe they're going to know that the jig is up and they've been conned so they have to keep tricking the O'Keefe into believing that they actually care about getting justice for their son you think jackson will be in the second trial if there is one right i would hope so i would hope so um you know i i think his role might be perhaps a little more limited because obviously he's got other cases and stuff maybe you know he will be more of a face of it at this point but i can't imagine him walking away from this this is a career-defining case and i think he would like a second crack at it because i think there's things that they would do differently like i think that the reason that anyone on that jury thinks that you know it was okay to vote guilty for murder was that they viewed a a they viewed this as if they couldn't if they if they if they voted to acquit Karen Reed they were voting to convict the McAlberts and they're not the same thing like you can but you can say at the same time that there's not enough evidence to convict the McAlberts of murder and also say that there's not enough evidence to convict Karen Reed of murder like and i think that it was just kind of like presented as one of the other either Karen did it or the McAlberts did it i think the McAlberts did it it would be nice if they could mention the FBI being involved in this that there's a federal investigation i mean and again it came it came out just but just in you know one at one point with one of the minor witnesses for the prosecution and it would also be nice if they could flip this guy Brian Higgins he still seems like the weak link to me yeah he does but i think he was too involved i mean like the fact that he was he hasn't flipped already tells me that he was way too involved in whatever went down in that house and that they got way too much on them him and he's got way too much on them so i don't think he's in a position necessarily flip they're not going to give you you know like you're going to jail if you admit to whatever the heck Brian Higgins you know was involved in inside that house whatever he came back for whatever he was called for at 222 in the morning like you don't get that call from Brian Albert unless you're extremely involved in whatever went down the house yeah and i know but you know i you know you you couldn't you couldn't hit somebody in the head and you can hit number of people in the head if you can take somebody else down with you who they feel is higher up in the criminal enterprise than you are you can still you can still get a reduced sentence but he's the only one that's not family you know like what happens if he says that oh it was Brian Albert that they're calling Albert that did it and then they'll say whoa whoa whoa it was Higgins that did it then what happens yeah it's it's quite a mess i i i i saw i don't know if you've seen the story in the New Yorker i thought that was a really good story by that woman in the New Yorker uh Jessica Winter she i don't know if she was in the trial or just watched it on tv but she really had a firm grasp on what was happening it was one of the best magazine stories i've read in a long time i didn't see it off but check it out i said they did the New Yorker New York magazine just did a story on me with Matt's thigh but i didn't see the New York one i'll have to read that yeah it's really good i'm gonna i'm gonna read some of it probably during the six o'clock hour on the air it's it's it's it's quite uh it's well done she and she she deals with the alcoholism which i think it's kind of an underrated part of the story i mean we all saw it but we were looking for other other aspects of the story but they were all drunk all the time they were they were all they're all blackout drinkers they are they are everybody was drinking that night everyone was driving cannery was no more guilty than the rest of them uh for that sin you know that's one thing that cannery definitely did that night was drinking drive and actually not done that and she wouldn't be in this position to begin with but uh you know that doesn't make you a killer and it doesn't make it doesn't make the evidence unreal and uh the McAlberts clearly are still the lead and stuff all right so when is your uh when is your next appearance in court turtle boy what was that is a big opportunity to talk to the independence he was so you know beat beat and joe up he's already got our vote um he he could have been focused on what he's going to do and and earn and their vote because they're the key in the selection i mean that you know sometimes you just have to just sit back though don't you Dan i mean sometimes it's you know you don't have to always be the center of attention i thought he i thought he handled it well you know i mean this is playing out nicely with him just kind of on the sidelines isn't it i agree with that he's staying quiet the last couple days i think that's uh that's good um but i you know i i think he beat him up i mean he should have been able to be feel easily the other night and he did i mean i could have been um yeah no he he's uh i i think he's handling it well i mean that that's the thing i mean he's he's you know he has a tendency to just uh you know want to want to fight back to uh you know if somebody hit you know somebody hits him he he hits him back harder than ever before and he he pulled his punches and he he continues to pull his punches and it's uh it seems to be working very well as far as i can say eight four
