[MUSIC PLAYING] Better strap yourself in. It's time for the Howie Car Show. For all practical purposes, today's decision almost certainly means that there are virtually no limits what a president can do. King in the castle, King in the castle. I know I will respect the limits of the presidential powers I have for 3 and 1/2 years. King Car blocked me from believing he's doing dead. I didn't stop me. Oh, go do this, go do this. King in the castle. Live from the Matthews Brothers Studios. He has the authority to direct the justice system against criminals at home. He doesn't have authority to go and assassinate people. Meanwhile-- did the court just say, yeah, you can assassinate a political rival. Bush. Politically, it's almost like a license to thug. I knew it. I'm surrounded. Last month here in DC, temperature 100 degrees, in Phoenix, Arizona, 112 degrees, in Las Vegas, 111 degrees. Why would you go Miami hot summer? Wow. Rum swabs, hacks, and moon baths beware. It's-- [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] Holy car. 844, 500, 4242, 844, 500, 4242. If you would like to join us, we won't have Turtle Boy on today. I wasn't thinking about having him on till Proctor was reassigned, so to speak. But he's tied up with some family business today. So we'll try to talk to him maybe tomorrow about what's going on. And I guess the New Yorker did a story about this that just got posted right after the-- it was probably already written. They were just waiting for the verdict. Seems like it's a pretty good story, actually. It's more of a-- it's just talking about sort of the low level life that all these people were leading in a canton and how they were drunk all the time. I mean, that's just-- which is-- it kind of rolls over you when you're just following the trial-- when you were following the trial day by day. But I mean, it was all about booze, oblivion. I mean, drinking to oblivion night after night after night. So we'll keep talking about this as time goes on. I wish I could be as confident as Sean that something good is going to come up this and that the DA is going to back off. I think the DA is not going to retry the case. But I'm skeptical that any kind of ultimate justice is going to be served here, whether it's either on the O'Keefe case or the Birchmore case. I mean, the corruption here is fairly breathtaking. And it's just across the board, too. And it's like that last caller Dave was saying. I mean, this is what you get when you have a one-party state. It's really, really bad. I mean, whether it's whatever the party is-- 844, 500, 42, 42. So KJP says a cognitive test is not necessary. It's unnecessary. I mean, it's pretty ridiculous. We'll have some cuts from the KJP event. I mean, I don't understand why she went on that long. She can't handle a press scrum any more than Brandon can. And yet, they just put her out there to just take the slings and arrows of outrageous questions, even from the lap dogs at the press corps. And so one of the guys that was talking about this on CNN, what happened at the debate is Carl Bernstein. And he was the famous Watergate reporter with Bob Woodward. And he's just become a stoog, a Democrat stoog. He's just beclowned himself in his later life. And he was one of the people that was on with Jake Tapper the day that the steel dossier hoax broke. And he was out of control. This is worse than Watergate. So he wrote a hagiography among many of Hillary Clinton about how wonderful she was. And he reached his peak at a very early age. And it's unlike Woodward, he hasn't done anything else. Although some people say Woodward's just a parrot for the deep state. There's something to be said for that. But at least Woodward has had other books and successes. Carl Bernstein has done-- he's written books, but none of them have succeeded. But anyway, he was on CNN last night. And he was actually sort of making news. He was acting as a reporter. And he was talking about how bad Biden has been in recent months. I mean, again, you don't need to have anyone tell you inside source material from the White House. And we just played those cuts just now. Hurricane barrel going through the carabin. And we've expended billions to increase energy shortages. It's all there, day after day. But anyway, I want to play a couple of Carl Bernstein cuts here before we go back to the phone lines. This is what he said last night on CNN, cut one. Well, these are people, several of them, who are very close to President Biden, who love him, have supported him, and have been among them, or some people who have raised a lot of money for him. And they are adamant that what we saw the other night, the Joe Biden we saw, is not a one-off, that there have been 15, 20 occasions in the last year and a half, when the President has appeared somewhat, as he did in that horror show, that we witness. And what's so significant is the people that this is coming from, and also how many people around the President are aware of such incidents, including some reporters, incidentally, who have witnessed some of them. The reporters saw JFK shacking up or going into motel rooms, or hotel rooms. They probably had a pretty good idea that he was a swim and bear-assed at lunch with fiddle and faddle, but they didn't say anything. That's the way it is in Washington, DC. You know, they're not reporters. They're flatters. They're couriers, courtiers, I guess you call them, cut two. There have been numerous instances where the President has lost his train of thought, can't pick it up again. There was a fundraiser, which he started at the podium, and then he became very stiff, according to the people there, as if it were almost a kind of rigor mortise. This was a report, allegedly in June of '20. This was June of, this was a year ago, almost exactly, at the old four seasons restaurant on Park Avenue, and he became very stiff, and the chair had to be brought for him to do the latter part of the event. Rigor mortise? I don't think that's the right word, is it? Rigor mortise is associated with depth, is it not? 844-542-42. Scott, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, Scott. Hey, Howie. How's it going? I'll tell you, my capacity for outrage is tested every day that seems loud. But, last night, Biden's speech, he got out there and started imploring the American people not to vote for his opponent, and said that the court ruling on immunity was going to make it possible for Trump to become a maniac dictator, blah, blah, blah. But in doing so, he turned that into a campaign speech, which puts him in violation of federal election law. You can't use government property for campaigns. I know, but what does he get? Scott, what does he care about that? I mean, you know, now he's down on Trump because he could become a dictator, but he's been bragging all along, including as recently as, I think, May 29th, that he defied the Supreme Court, right? I mean, what do you-- Yeah, but he just stood there and said, as President, I've always respected and will obey the law, blah, blah, blah, blah, you know-- Except, but what about you immigration laws? Commit the violation of the campaign. Right. It's a federal election campaign law. You can't even make a call from your government office for campaign purposes. I understand all that, Scott, but I mean, it's-- Look what else he's done. He took an oath of vow on the Bible on January 20th, 2021, to faithfully execute the laws of the United States, and he hasn't executed any of the laws about immigration. He's just ignored them, totally. And when we have chaos and turmoil, because of it, and rampant crime and drug abuse and diseases spreading, you know? It's just-- I don't know. I mean, I understand what he's saying, but it just seems like it's a moot point, isn't it? They don't care. The laws are for you and me. They're not for them. By the way, Murchan in New York, a Colombian-born Murchan, the judge, Juan, is as postponed the sentencing of Trump on these phony baloney charges until September 18th. Steve, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, Steve. Howie, that's what I'm calling about is the putting off of this sentencing until September 18th. That tells me, A, that it's a very concerted effort by the Democrats to make sure that, B, Biden doesn't get on the ticket. I think they're probably going to go to somebody else, and they want to see how popular this guy or lady might be by the middle of September. And I have the Trump decision align with that pick, because, as we know, Trump's basically off the hook for the three other court cases. This one he isn't, so if something tells me he's going to wind up with a jail sentence out of all this by the end of the day. But the thing, I don't necessarily disagree with you, Steve. I was thinking about making that as a poll question down the road, but now we'll maybe do it later on. But now it's not July 11th, next Thursday. But every time they've gone after him, the more ridiculous the charges or the accusations or the gag orders, his popularity goes up. I mean, this might just be the way to-- if they did try to put him in jail, this might be a way to ensure a landslide, Steve. Yeah, Eugene V. Debs from 1920. He'll be matching him from jail. So it's just so sad, and it's ridiculous, and it proves that they will not stop at anything to get Trump. They won't. Did you see the guy? I've got this thing, a BBC talking head. Guy named-- look at this-- David Aaronovich. He's on BBC Radio 4. He said, if I were Biden, I'd hurry up and have Trump murdered on the basis that he is a threat to America's security. Can you believe they would say that? I know he's a Brit, but still. I mean, if I was Biden, I'd hurry up and have Trump murdered on the basis that he is a threat to America's security. And so then, of course, as always happens with these lefties. He says, it's plainly a satire, so I'm deleting it. Oh, I didn't catch the sarcasm emoji on there. I didn't get it. I'm pretty sure when President Trump said, hey, can you find Hillary's emails for us, Russia, in sarcasm? It was a constitutional crisis. So sarcasm is not an excuse, sir. Right, and didn't Biden say last night that Trump incited a violent mob to go down to the Capitol? Even though he said peacefully protest, peacefully protest, but Biden could still go out there and say he incited a mob. It's OK for Democrats to lie, or their leftist allies in the UK. Thanks for the call there, Steve. Yeah, I don't know what they're going to do, but I assume that Merckin will do whatever they want him to do, because he is a hacks hack. He makes the Jamaican-born judge down in DC look like one of the founding fathers. You don't have to wait once a week for your favorite TV show to come on the air anymore. Today's poll question is brought to you by Eden Rafferty, Attorneys at Law. If you need advice on family law, check out my Meet the Experts podcast with attorney Joe Roach, wherever you get your Howie Carr Show podcasts. Jared, what's the poll question? What are the results thus far? Today's poll question, which you can vote in at HowieCarShow.com, is Haas Soon, will Michael Proctor be fired from the mass state police? Within a year, one to three years or never? It's the Hackerama. I'm gonna say, I regret to say this, but I'm gonna say never, it's the Hackerama. 62% of the audience agree is with you. 32% say within a year, 6% think one to three years. All right, eight, four, four, five hundred, 42, 42. You know, a lot of people would say this is kind of a vacation. You know, he's gonna pay, again, he's not gonna be getting any overtime, but he's still making over $2,000 a week for nothing. And he's working down towards his pension. He's in his mid-40s. You know, he's in that, what do they call it? Group three, I forget what the number or the letter is, but he's law enforcement. So he can retire at 55 with a full pension, or he can go out with a disability, which is what a lot of them do. They somehow come down. Did you know that, you know, a disease, any disease will do. Claptomania, or leaky balloon knot, or kleptomania, or leaky balloon knot, or kleptomania, a lot of them have used in the state police. We're gonna have some cuts from Lieutenant Colonel Mon. He said, boy, he's a beefy young person, isn't he? He's a, I would hate to be between him and a buffet. Ditto, meet Ball Morrissey, but if there were two of them, and there was a, but you were between a plate of jumbo shrimp and those two guys, you might as well just say a good act of contrition. - No shortage. - You're out. - No shortage of food stipends on that. I'm asking the police. - Yeah, oof. 844-542-42, Dave, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, Dave. - Hey, Howie, listen, well, what's his name? He used a term, rigor motor, so all I could, and then he had to sit down like I think it was, it just validates the analogy of a weekend at fernie. You know, make sure you're sitting down 'cause it's not a matter of time. (laughing) - Yeah, 'til he tips over on the seat, yeah. I know, it's, again, you gotta look at his walk more closely, and I'll bet, you know what? I'll bet they go back to surrounding him again 'cause he looks so bad trying to walk, and trying to walk off the stage on Thursday night when he, you know, when Jill had to lead him down the stairs. I mean, I know what it's like, you know, having a broken left leg, I know what it's like, you know, you kind of gotta go down the stairs gingerly, but, you know, I don't need to hold on to anybody's hand when I go down the stairs. 844, 500, 42, 42. - Maybe all those times they were saying he was had vigor. They actually said rigor, and we just misheard them. (laughing) - All these Latin expressions are coming to the fore with Joe Biden. - Rigor Morthus, non-compass menthas. He's bringing back Latin. 8, we'll be right back, we'll take your calls. 844, 500, 42, 42. I'm how we car. (dramatic music) - I'll lead you to cool. (upbeat music) (upbeat music) (yelling) - From the Matthew's Brothers Studios. - 844, 500, 42, 42. This just tweeted out by WBZTV. I team sources tell Cheryl Fiendaca that trooper Michael Proctor has been transferred to troop H of Mass State Police. That's the division of field services in South Boston. It's an old MDC outpost, I believe. What could possibly go wrong? South Boston MDC, he has a pending duty status hearing which could lead to a suspension and further action. I'm still gonna say he's gonna survive into the indefinite future. 844, 500, 42, 42. All right, 71. What a lousy time to be forced to sit in the sidelines in the MSP, Conehead bullpen. July 4th, week kick off to summer, letting media spotlight fade and find another story. Get fired, then go through endless civil service appeals and probably get rehired with back pay, you know the game. I mentioned in my column, this guy, Dan Griffin. He's a, he was a lieutenant from Belmont. He ripped off to Belmont Hill School, claimed he needed the money. He had a security business that he wasn't paying income taxes on. He was falsifying overtime records when they fed, started sniffing around. He destroyed all the overtime records. He was indicted in September, in 2020, almost four years ago. He went out with his fake, excuse me. I don't know if it's fake. He went out with a disability in September of 2020. And since then he's been getting almost $11,000 a month. He's been convicted of a federal, of all those federal crimes. He's, he's been sentenced, but he's still collecting. And so the, the, the state retirement board says, well, we'll investigate. So they hire a hearing officer. The hearing officer investigates for a while. They have a hearing, the hearing officer says, they have to pull the, pull the pension. He then appeals that, goes into court. They, that, that takes years to go through court. The court finally rules that his appeal should, that his pension should be pulled. Then his wife appeals and says, well, let's say it's a, a burden on me, then, and I didn't commit any crimes. And they, it just goes on and on and on. And then finally, if they, if they ever take away this guy, Griffin's $11,000 a month pension, they will return to him all the money that he put into the pension system. Even though, even though I just was doing the math just on the, on the back of the envelope, on the, off of the comptroller's website, he's gotten more than 600,000 already. I don't think he put in 600,000 into the, into the kitty, into his retirement account. 844, 500, 42, 42, 844, 500, 42, 42. Bo, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, Bo. You there? Nope. Tom, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, Tom. - Good afternoon, Howie. How are you? - Good. - Good, good, yeah. Just a few comments. Yeah, I think Proctor will probably retire. I think he's got the year. So, before suspension, I think you've just retired out and not have this pension threatened, you know? Yeah, I don't, I actually don't think he's got enough time in. That's what, that's my understanding. He's got about 10 years in it, he's only 44. I don't think he's got enough time in. He's got, that's why, that's where the disability comes in. You know, the-- - Okay, I did have a comment. So, I, I thought your coverage was excellent and your insights. But I think you might have missed a few if I could point out, I'm not sure, maybe you did. But, as you had mentioned with Jen McCain, the cable, and she mentioned to Proctor that, you know, there might be a tip or a gift for him, you know? - Yeah. - I assume he's gonna-- - No, that was, that was, that was Julie Albert. That was a Chris Albert, jail bird Chris Albert's wife, mentioned it to Proctor's sister. It wasn't Jen, Jen didn't do that. But yeah, the gift, and then he said, give the gift to Elizabeth. She was the one that was screaming at Kathy Curran, the channel 10 reporter last night. - Right, okay. Well, then I guess they'll be voted for Trump because they won't have to pay a fact on that sort of tip, you know? - Very good point, you know, you're right, Tom. I had not considered that. They, they, they, maybe are Trump voters on that. Let's, let's play the cut of, of a Kathy Curran confronting the, the lovely Proctor family last night. And Proctor, Proctor's wife is the one who tried to get the people fired from their jobs because they were posting on social media about what, what a swine environment her husband was. Cut 19. - Trooper Proctor, Kathy Curran from NBC 10. We'd like to ask you some questions. - Get on for a moment. - Do you, do you think your actions impacted the outcome of the trial? - Get on for a long way. - I'm not on your lawn. I'm on the street. Do you have anything you'd like to say? - I don't support my husband. - You support your husband? - You support your husband? - Karen Reed is a murderer. Then she stepped inside. The logical follow-up question is, did Julie Galbert ever give you that gift? Karen Reed's a murderer, I guess your, your lovely husband, still the wishes that she would commit suicide. Who's gonna handle the investigation? Who's gonna handle the investigation? Who's gonna, who's gonna plant the taillight evidence for the upcoming trial? They only had 45 pieces of taillight for this trial. I think they need, who's gonna handle the, in the taillight, it not only breeds and reproduces on the lawn, it reproduces in the evidence bags. It's an amazing thing. I mean, you know, Trooper Proctor had a green thumb. There's no question about it. He had a green thumb and he had blinders on, 'cause he couldn't see Lucky Loughran. He was told Lucky Loughran drove by there within his plow, the Franken Monster, or whatever they called it, a couple of times that night. And Trooper Proctor never thought to go in. He never thought to go in 35 fair views straight to interview the Boston cop that owned the house. 844-542-42. Steve, you're next with Howie Carr, go ahead, Steve. - Hi, Steve, can you hear me? - Yes. - I mean, Howie, can you hear me? - Yes. - So, I was wondering, you know, indefinitely Elizabeth Warren's unfortunate to get reelected. The only interesting race is the primary. So, not who are you gonna vote for or who you gonna support, but what do you think about the candidates? Like John D. N. Kane and I think his name's Robert Antonos. - Yeah, I think Deaton's the guy. I think Deaton is the only guy who's got a lot of money. Kane has a lot of... He looks like, you know, he would deny it vociferously, but he looks like a straw to me. He says this picture taken with Elizabeth Warren. He's contributed to, I believe, a lot of Democrats. And he only got into the race when it appeared that Deaton was a serious candidate. And the other guy is just, you know, he's not a factor, really. So, I would say vote for Deaton. That's my opinion. And you know, the way things are going, anything can happen. I know he's a super long shot, but you know, she's scared of him. 'Cause she's started, as soon as he got into the race, she started going after him. And she's the most unpopular statewide Democrat in Massachusetts, even more unpopular than Marahili. Even though she kind of stays undercover. I mean, people can spot a phony like her. Maybe sometimes you can slip it by if you're just a semi phony, but she's 100% phonus ballonus. She's not putting it by anybody. - Thanks for the call, though, Steve. John, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, John. - Hi, I am, George Marsh on delaying the court appeal and the penalty reeling for Trump leads me to believe that they're trying to set up an October surprise, but no matter who they run, whether it's Biden or a replacement, they're gonna need something to bury Trump and they're looking for an October surprise. And I think this is a way to start manifesting one. - Yeah, but I mean, if they throw it, the only surprise would be the throw them in jail, right? - Well, yeah, but I mean, that's what they need. They need something big. So something that the TV and the mainstream media will pawn on and turn their eyes from everything else that's going on. I mean, that's what this all has been about in the first place is don't look at this, look at this, you know, look at what's going over here. I'll give you a piece of candy if you stop looking at the golden pride. - Right, yeah, I don't know. I don't know what's gonna, it's, I wanna think about it for a while, but again, every time they've indicted him, remember the mugshot? How much money he raised on the mugshot? Remember how much money when he was actually convicted on these ridiculous kangaroo court charges, how much money he raised? I mean, everything they've done has, you know, backfired on them. Lawfare has not worked. And you know, it really takes stones for Biden to go out there and say that he should be tried on these documents charges. When the only reason Biden wasn't charged, according to the special counsel, Robert Herr, was because he was guilty, but he was too senile. And now, you know, they were, now that the Democrats were knocking him, 'cause he, you know, oh, he's not senile. He's not senile. So the Republican said, well, if he's not senile, let's, let's, you know, the transcript is damning enough. Let's hear the actual audio. No, no, no, we can't do that. But he's not senile. Well, now we've had the debate. So he's obviously senile. (laughing) Exactly. Couldn't have put it any better myself. Dan, you're next with how we car. Go ahead, Dan. - May we quote you on that, Mr. President. - Go ahead. - I hate to overstate the patently obvious, but I think it needs to be done. I mean, the only reason the court even convened on this issue is because we have had, like, the FBI SWAT raid on Mar-a-Lago. They staged top secret documents on the ground. CNN was there first. It was an illegal release of his IRS records, abusive Pfizer, surveillance on his campaign, 51 phony intelligence officers. Russian phony dot the A from foreign intelligence agencies. - Phoney Ukraine, phony Ukraine. - Dan, Dan, don't forget phony Ukraine phone call, phony Georgia phone call, and a million other things. - Yeah, exactly. We were trying to figure out how, for the first time in history, if the secret service has to go to prison with a former president, and this guy has got the phone to get up there and say, "Oh, no, I'm gonna abide by presidential power." This guy, this guy, and this administration, has pushed the data republic to a whole new level. - Right. - Like, that's the only reason there is a court decision, is because these idiots have been abused in power one after the other after the other. That's why there's a court case. How can they get up there and say this? How low an information voter. I mean, the 2% of people that get on the chump line and always vote the obvious stupid thing, you know, the ones that I think are in some kind of how we call a purgatory. This group of people, they can't be enough of them to keep electing this proposal into office, can they? - Yeah, no. - I mean, although Steven contains a maybe, a maybe, allegedly, possibly stolen election, and anybody that says though, is under the jail, just spent three years never seeing in the light of day, have views of their lives taken away for a persecution of political persecution. - No, I met one of the people who's, who may have to go away for four years on four misdemeanors. I met her in New Hampshire at Laconia at Funspot last week. We'll get her on tomorrow, actually. Tomorrow will be a slower news day. - I'll, I got her number here in my file. Well, we'll get her on, her name is Young. And you're right, I should, I should have her on. It's ridiculous. I mean, I think that's one reason why he's more popular now because people, not just, and not just, you know, black people or Hispanic people, but it just, everybody understands the, the potential abuses of power, and that's what he's been the victim of. And again, I know it's become a cliche, but if they can do this to a former president of the United States, what can they do to you or me? All right, thanks for the call, Dan. 844, 500, 42, 42. It wasn't Lally, it was Meatball who said it last August, but no, the answer is no, obviously not. Meatball is gonna leave Proctor, give him a good leaving alone, I dare say. 917, if Joe does drop out, what are the odds that Hunter runs for the Senate from Delaware at the next opportunity in order to keep the gravy train rolling? You know, being a freshman Senator, convicted felon, junkie, alcoholic, stripper chaser, US Senator, I mean, it might put you in the middle of the pack for your hobbies, your predilections, but it's not gonna keep the gravy train going like being president of the United States. 844-542-442, I just wanna know how much his paintings will be worth if Daddy Pop isn't the president anymore. I think I have a good idea. Steve, you're next with Howie Car, go ahead Steve. - Hey, Howie, how are you? - Good. - I just had a quick question, I just had a quick question. So now with Proctor being, you know, he's having his duties, so they say, does this open it up now for Karen Reed to sue them for defamation of character? Well, for all the money she spends on trial? - This is what you call a qualified immunity. She's got, she, maybe, you know, I don't think so, even if there'd been a not guilty verdict, I don't think she could have sued him. I don't know what she, you know, there should be some kind of way to get retribution or vindication other than just in the court of public opinion. I mean, she's out, her family's out, hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions of dollars for this trial. And it's just a shame. But I don't think, I don't think that's in the cards, Steve, 844-542. This New Yorker story I've been looking at at the irresolvable tragedy of the Karen Reed case. It's, I'm really surprised. I haven't read anything good in The New Yorker in a very long time, but this is a pretty good story. Gene, you're next with Howie Car, go ahead Gene. - This isn't about Henry, but it's about the election if they get rid of Joe Biden. I don't think that the next person would be able to use the funds raised by them. - No, I don't think so either. I don't think so either, Gene. - So how are they gonna raise all that money in three months? - Trump is a threat to democracy. Does that sound good, Gene? - That's been great. It's just like them. I mean, that's what they're gonna, that's what they've been saying for eight years anyway. Why should they change their tune at this point? It's their greatest hit. They're one and only, greatest hit. There are one hit, Wonder, the Democrat Party. It's Trump all the time. He's going to destroy democracy. He's not going to abide by rulings of the Supreme Court. - Really? You mean like Joe with the student loans? He's not going to enforce laws he doesn't agree with. You mean like the immigration laws? He's going to blow up American citizens. You mean like Obama did with that guy in Yemen? Yeah, I'm really worried about Donald Trump violating the norms of democracy, especially the norms of the last three and a half years. I'm how we do it. (dramatic music) [MUSIC PLAYING]
