[MUSIC PLAYING] Better strap yourself in. It's time for the Howie Car Show. For all, for all practical purposes, today's decision almost certainly means that there are virtually no limits what a president can do. King in the castle, King in the castle. I know I will respect the limits of the presidential powers I have for three and a half years. The clean car blocked me from believing he's too dead. I didn't stop me. Oh, go do this, go do this, King in the castle. Live from the Matthews Brothers Studio. He has the authority to direct the justice system against criminals at home. He doesn't have authority to go and assassinate people. Did the court just say, yeah, you can assassinate a political rival? Bush. Politically, it's almost like a license to thug. I knew it. I'm surrounded. Last month here in DC, temperature 100 degrees, in Phoenix, Arizona, 112 degrees, in Las Vegas, 111 degrees. Why would you go Miami? Hot, summer? Wow. Rump swabs, hacks, and moon bounce beware. It's-- [MUSIC PLAYING] How a car. Brandon is on the comeback trail today. Oh, it's so exciting. I think he's got his mojo back. He's on his way. He's on his way to victory. He's battling this cold. And today, he was delivering remarks on extreme weather. Maybe you didn't know it, but it's gotten hot. I don't know if you ever noticed this sometimes, but it never got hot in July until very recently. And if only we could raise taxes on people who work for a living and give it to people who don't work for a living, and for DEI conferences, it's the sustainability conferences, and send it to bundlers who buy solar panels and windmills from China. Everything would be fine. It would be a balmy 80 degrees instead of whatever it is. Anyway, 844, 500, 42, 42, 844, 500, 42, 42. That is the number if you would like to join us here. It's just too ridiculous. And now KJP is back, it took her, what, five days to come back. Took her longer to come up with a series, a string of alibis, then it took Brandon to get back out onto the campaign trail. Maybe the cold was contagious. But yeah, we just got to go straight to these cuts. We've got a lot of stuff to get to today, including Proctor, Michael Proctor, Proctor Trooper. You don't say I saw a trooper out on the road. You say I saw a proctor, because they're all proctors now. So anyway, this is cut 18 from Brandon today. We've invested billions to enhance our power grid, expand energy shortages. We've invested billions to expand energy shortages. Can we quote you on that, Mr. President? Now that the emperor has been revealed as having new clothes, no clothes, I should say, are the networks going to run with that? Is David Muir going to run with that tonight? Now that-- no, I don't think it is. Cut four. I'm here to talk about how we're preparing and responding to the dangerous impacts of extreme weather and the climate crisis that's affecting people all around America, all around the country, as a matter of fact, beyond America. Around America, beyond America, and most importantly, beyond America, really, Mr. President. You don't say cut eight. People impacted the islands and communities or our prayers. People impacted islands. People impacted islands and communities or our prayers? I'm glad to hear that, because I've spent much of my life on assorted people impacted islands. I own a place on a people impacted islands. It's called Palm Beach. You still own it on a people impacted island called Great Diamond Island in Casco Bay. Many, many people impacted islands. Eight, four, four, five, hundred, 42, 42, cut 13. Clean transit, clean energy, and climb investment to devastated communities. Climb investments. Is that like being a build jungle gems or something? We just got a new climb investment in Wellesley. A new playground has been built. It's a nice-- it's a climb investment, I think. The kids love it. They just love it. Cut 19. The American My American Rescue Plan is helping states and cities promote energy efficiency. What did he say? I missed it. The American My American Rescue Plan is helping states and cities promote energy efficiency. My wrecker rescue plan? The American My American Rescue Plan is helping states and cities promote energy-- wreck or rescue? OK. Whatever you say, maybe you didn't see this, but if you don't follow the weather reports on the Caribbean or the weather channel, you may not know this. But Biden is America's weather man today. Cut 7. And look, right now we're also tracking Hurricane Barrell, which is passing through the Caribbean. Passing through the Caribbean. Is that a dark roast bean or medium bean or is it a green bean? A yard bean, as they used to call it, on some of those nice island restaurants. Those people-- a people impacted island called Nantucket. They used to have yard beans, I remember. 844-542-42-CUT-24. I want to turn it over to Clint Osborne, director of the acting director of DC-Homa Security and Emergency Management Agency, to tell you what his team's incredible work is doing on the front lines for extreme weather events. Extreme weather events. Thank you. Thank you, Mr. President. Cut 6. More people die from extreme heat than floods, hurricanes, and tornadoes combined. Say that again, combine. More people die from heat than those of three other major issues. You don't say. Cut 11. Second, in the coming days, my federal emergency management will also finalize the rule to improve our nation's resilience against-- Resilience, resilience. What does that mean, resilience? Climate resilience. You know what that means? You have a nice fan. You make sure that the filter on your air conditioner is working properly. You make sure you have a nice iced beverage with you. Cut 12. My FEMA is announcing-- excuse me. There are $1 billion in grants for-- [GRUNTS] You got some-- can we get you a lozenge? Would you like a Ludens or a Smith brothers? Cut two. Look, there. Thanks for the introduction and joining me today at the DC Emergency Operations Center. [GRUNTS] Look, there. [GRUNTS] You know, he likes the folksy expressions. He remembers one that his brother used to say, cut 15. You got-- I was telling the group we had briefed me earlier. My brother has an expression, you got to know how to know. His brother says that. Remember that. That's what his brother says. This is a flashback to a little more than two years ago. Cut 15A. I used to have a close friend. He was a hell of a national basketball player. And he used to say, you got to know how to know. You got to know how to know. Was that his brother? He was a national basketball, not a local basketball player, a national basket. How's that cough-- how's that cough doing there, Brandon, cut 16? Heat.gov. It shares lifesaving information. And it links a new heat risk tool. Isn't it great? Isn't it wonderful? That was just a one-off, whatever, on Thursday night. He's got it all going on. Cut 17. Just enter your zip code and see the heat forecast, not only generically, generally, but in your community where you're living. Doesn't that kind of go without saying? If it's in your community, isn't that where you're living or at least spending a lot of time? In your community where you're living. Didn't he say Hurricane Barrell? He did kind of say Hurricane Barrell. Let's hear that one again, cut seven. And look, right now, we're also tracking Hurricane Barrell, which is bested to Caribbean. Hurricane Barrell is passing through the Caribbean 71, Biden to sit with Steffi this Sunday to be so edited that the right will call it cheap fake and rightly so. The thing is, though, you can't-- you can't edit it, but you can see the jump cuts. It's hard to edit out all the jump cuts, as we've seen from some of his ads or just his PSAs. 844, 542, 4274. I'm going to change the name of my boat to climate resilience or resistance or whatever the hell he said. Climate resili-- to me, climate resilience is, it's hot out. I think I'll take off the long sleeve shirt. I think I'll switch to short pants. In the winter, the White House winter, that's when you put on an extra coat. You put on a ski cap before you go outside. Maybe some gloves, even mittens. Climate resilience, that's what it's always meant to me. And if there's a flood outside, you put on your muck locks. Allergy season is in full swing. And if you struggle with allergies, you need the Eden Pure Thunderstorm air purifier. You know, speaking of hostage statements, they always make you hold up the front page of the newspaper to prove you're still alive. The New York Post today has a really great front page. You know, the Vogue cover? Well, they redid it. Instead of Dr. Jill on the front page of cover of Vogue, it's branded, looking particularly lost and it's not Vogue, it's vague. Howt for fall, rubber soul shoes. How to beat Medicare? Best activities between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Five ways to explain away a bad night. Jill Biden answers questions for her husband. This is really a good job. Somebody, somebody knows those women's magazines or any magazines nowadays. 844-542-42. Arden says, "How will you play in those cuts "and all I can think of is we're so bleeped up, "but this potato we have for president "could get us into anything." What are they? No kidding. I mean, that's the whole thing. That's another thing, they have this recipe about how they're gonna solve everything. I think it's an axios and one of them is talk about chaos. I mean, they are chaos. That's what they've created. Domestically foreign lands. Economically everything is chaos. Everything that was placid and peaceful in the Trump years is now chaos. But now they're gonna run on chaos. Today's poll question is brought to you by Eden Rafferty, attorneys at law. If you need advice on family law, check out my Meet the Experts podcast with attorney Joe Roach, wherever you get your Howie Car Show podcast. Jared, what's the poll question? What are the results thus far? Today's poll question, which you can vote in at HowieCarShow.com, is how soon will Michael Proctor-- Hose soon, hose soon, hose soon, hose soon. Hose soon will Michael Proctor be fired from the mass state police within a year, one to three years or never, it's the hackarama. Never, it's the hackarama. 64% of the audience agrees with you that it's the hackarama. 31% say within a year and 6% say within one to three years. All right, I hope I'm wrong when I say that you'll never be fired. 844-542-617, maybe you should send Biden a need and peer thunderstorm air purifier to help his allergies and his aggravating cough. Ahem. 844-542-40, cut 10, please. Implementing rest breaks, access to shade and water. You think we'd have to tell people access to shade and water. I mean, graduating new employees in the heat environments. What, he thinks that nobody has any shade or water now. I mean, it doesn't really work to keep an employee outside until he keels over of heat stroke. But again, I know he's never had a job, but does he really believe that's a problem? Well, you know what we need? We need some more regulations about heat and shade. 'Cause that always makes things work better. Some more federal regulations. Sunny, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, Sunny. - Hey, Howie, you know, I've been watching with Biden walks. - Yes. - And if you notice, he walks so straight up. - Yes. - And he has to be wearing some type of a back brace. I guarantee you, he walks hunched over when he's not, you know, on the public eye. - You don't think he's just wobbly? I mean, you get really old and you have an unsteady gait. Don't you think he's trying to overcompensate for the unsteady gait? - Well, what we can do is we can send him a tear. I have in my garage, a pair for my great uncle, a pair of polio braces. Maybe I could send that to the white house. And, you know, at that a night time, we'll keep him in the eye and lung. And he should be good to go for the next update. You know, he can walk out on stage clinging a little bit, but hey, between the polio braces and the back brace, he'll look like a million dollars the way he walks. - I don't know what they're going to do about his gait. I mean, they just can't, what they were doing earlier before the debate, Sunny, was they were surrounding it with AIDS so you couldn't see the way he was walking. But I guess that wasn't working out 'cause the other night they let him come off of, I guess, Marine One. But, of course, Jill is holding him at all times now, you know? But Kay, she needs a night off every once in a while. They could bring in the secretary of the interior and put her in the Easter Bunny outfit again. Or maybe bring in some of his grandkids. Not the one and down in Arkansas, though. Brandon, it's summer, it's hot. No, it's climate change, man. Climate change, I'm how I car. (upbeat music) - Live from the Matthews Brothers Studios. - The Karen Reed trial came to an end yesterday, a mistrial was declared a hung jury in Dedham. It's over, meatball Morrissey, the DA, has already announced he's going to retry the case. I have my doubts about that, but I wanted to check in with some other experts. During this whole ordeal of the last couple of months, I've gotten to really enjoy the streaming of Sean McDonough, El Hefe, a former DEA agent from the town of Canton. And originally now lives on the west coast of Florida and his podcaster is streaming, it's called Going Through the Motions, and I recommend it highly. And Sean, it's good to have you with us back on the Howie car show. - Thank you, Howie, it's great to be back. - Well, so what's your take on what happened? - Well, I think you summed it up pretty good just now. Like yourself, I doubt very much Mr. Morrissey will take another swing at this. If you recall, right? The prosecution added out with their case on the back of their heels, because Davian Nettie, from the gate, claimed in his court opening that his client, Camry, was framed. What caused them was to have Lallie. So 85 to 90% of his case in chief was defending the likes of Brian Albert, Colin Albert, Brian Higgins, the whole McCabe family, right? - Yeah. - They forgot about the simple, very simple hit run case that they charged, it's coming with verdict. And what they did was, was let them lay out, hanging out and they had poor Trucker Paul come in during the Soss who shuffled, he couldn't even say his name. But if you think about this, Howie, Alan Jackson put on six witnesses, four regular and two from the US government. That's all they did for a client that was facing. Right. - That's a big rice and gel. - But they couldn't, they couldn't tell the, they couldn't tell the jury that they were from the FBI. They just had to keep referring to these, you know, vague other agencies and all that. By the way, Sean, I don't know if you've heard this, but there's rumors, I've heard from two different people. One, even before the verdict came in, that it was 10 to two for guilty. And I heard from another guy who used to work for the Globe, he'd heard the same thing. Is it possible that it could have been 10 to two for a guilty verdict? - No, because I broke today from a very, very, I mean, on the bank reliable source, that murder too was off the table. They never even considered it. What they did was they went down to the lets of charges. And this is, this is kind of a little bit scary. It was completely divided, six to six. Sticks completely did not believe that she ever touched John at all. Unfortunately, six others completely disregarded. They're calling these people, the two guys, the crash daddy experts that the federal government put on. That to me is disturbing. And this is what I say right now to Team Reed. Throw nuclear if you have to. Get together with Josh Levy. As you know how, he Josh Levy took a big shot, a big swing at Morrissey, a big swing at Colonel Mon. And I got to tell you, I just watched Mon's little defense of his agency. You know what I didn't hear of saying how? He didn't say one thing about her apology to Karen Reed that his trooper, he just violated her, was a vile things he said about her in his private. And how is the thing? The only reason this came up and these, they haven't even found out yet. They haven't even acknowledged this. The FBI dug deep. So deep they went to their personal cell phones. And if these people think they weren't investigated, they're crazy. They just need for whatever reason, a little bit more time, Holly. I'm telling you, that's what it is. I keep asking Turtle Boy, and I'm going to ask you, because you were in the federal law enforcement system. Why did Levy let this go forward for all these weeks? Knowing that all the dirt that they had, and you know, the timeline was blown up by their own witnesses. They didn't interview exculpatory. They didn't come up with any exculpatory evidence. They didn't interview people like Lucky, who, you know, could provide exculpatory testimony. Why did Levy allow it to go on? Like, well, it was a miscarriage of justice. - Right, Ali, you've been around a long time. You've seen how big cases go. Clearly, the public corruption unit, the Department of Justice, have bigger fish in their, in their slice. Now, not to say that the murder of John wasn't a big thing. I truly believe, like, 28 years, I put these cases together for the DEA, okay? When you go to a grand jury, you know, and you're going in different pieces, there has to be a bigger picture, and they've got this thing tied up in a bow. And I just believe all they needed for that, this trial, this was a big test that Karen passed. They got the Miss trial. I believe it should have been a not guilty. I'm sad about that, but they got the Miss trial. And you know what it does right now? It gives Josh Levy the department, now here's the other thing to call me. The Civil Rights Division is all over this for the violation of her civil rights, plus the corruption unit, the public corruption. And for Colonel Monde to stand up there in front of that crowd and just blow the 8 for nothing, you know, the next problem he's gonna have is birch war. And Lieutenant Standing will be his next press conference. Guarantee it. - Yeah, I mean, and that's a birch war, Sandra birch war, the woman who, the pregnant woman, who was apparently groomed by the Stoughton cops, which is next door to Canton. And then she moved to Canton, and she quote unquote killed herself under very mysterious circumstances in Canton. The same, the same state cops investigated that case and the same, the same Keystone cops from Canton were the first responders. - It's true. And I'll tell you right now, I do want to get into another year, but one more thing about that. I've got confirmation that the FBI not only has the birch war obviously the re-case on the radar. There's a case that happened out of Essex County, a huge case that involved a young gentleman that got beat severely by the son or relative of a chief of police that now became, you might know this, I was on the radar then. It was signed over to Mike Morrissey, okay, signed over. For the reason that Mike could make this go away, okay. I've got confirmation from the mother of this person that said absolutely the FBI at least have these three investigations underway. This is gonna be massive, I'm telling you, they're gonna rock the state of Massachusetts, whatever else they have on Morrissey and higher. I believe, I believe it goes back to Mara Healy. She was the AG, she did nothing. Mon and his crew did nothing, the good old boy network is alive and well in Massachusetts and it's gonna come down. You know, she did nothing with Sonia Farak, the crook of the crazy drug craze chemist at the lab. And she let her people, they were saying, well, let's not overreact to the fact that they're framing people. They were friends, these are people of color, mainly. And she said, let's not, her person is saying, let's not overreact. She files a motion in one court to basically suppress all the evidence and then she files a motion to suppress the motion, to suppress the evidence. And she got called out on it by a judge and this was seven years ago, Sean, and nothing happened. Nothing happened. It's alive and well. This is where right now how the Massachusetts Post Commission comes in. They are the ones now that can tear this whole thing apart. What Michael Proctor, completely under the microscope, put Yuri, put them all. They all have a piece of corruption. Like I said today in my Twitter thing to Mon, he knew, he knew for over two and a half years that his team at Norfolk County, including the DA, including the witnesses, were under federal investigation. They made no secret. They handed out paper in April before Turtle Boy ever broke the story. It was already done. And then this is the coup de gras Halle. They paid for the crash daddies to come out and investigate. And they came out with this incredible thing. This is, Mon should hand this badge of gun in now. He let this happen. And Mara Healy has a bunch of responsibility also. - Do you think they've, you know, moved Proctor off of the detective unit in the DA's office? Are they ever going to fire the guy? You think they're going to fire him? - You know, so I tagged you on a post from a former wife of a state trooper. She's very good. She says you're going to farm him out. He's up in Lennox somewhere. He has to go through the, whatever that thing is. And then, and then you know what he's going to do? He's going to be on a desk job. And all of a sudden he's going to have the magic trip. He's going to hurt his back and he's going to go out. They need to get this guy off the job. Now, nobody's going to do how they need to get him in now and indict him federally. That's what they've got to do. But this little thing they did yesterday was, was the biggest play on words. I kept telling you, but don't believe that. It's, it's bold. They're going to put it. They took his badge and got away, right? He's out of the DA's office. But he'll be accounting paper, making coffee for the secretaries. That's where he's going to be. But guess what? He's still going to have his pension if he's not dealt with and fired or indicted now. That's what has to happen to this guy. Yeah, if they, you know, even if all those guys on Troopie out on the pike, I think one of them lost the pension and two of them did like three months in the can. There were, there were like 40 of them and they all got away with it. It's ridiculous. - This wife, Paul B, she said, check with Howie. He did the whole story on these guys. Her ex-husband's one of them. He got away and he started writing her. I'm telling you, but this other thing with Josh Levy and the, and the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice is going to be huge. It really is Howie. And like I said, people have to be patient. But now we have time. We get to July 22nd, so much can happen. So much can happen between now and then. - What about Brian Higgins? Now again, you were DEA agent. We're talking to Sean McDonough, L. Hefei and his, his webcast is, is going through the motions. You're familiar with how the feds operate. He's an ATF and I think he's, he's on the pine. He's, he's riding the bench. But he's still getting paid though. How long is he going to, how long is he going to last? - Yeah. That's the issue. Oh, so ATF and DEA, FBI, will all come under your brother, the Department of Justice. The officer and inspector general all work the same way. I'm telling you, that kid was on the, on the beach, on the bench, you know, we call him on the bricks, counting batteries for the past two and a half years. No doubt. And he has another thing coming from him. He thought he was safe by giving up his personal phone. The problem with Brian Higgins is, he collaborated with Brian Albert, Kevin Albert, all these other marketing mucks on his work phone. And they can't, they got the work phone too. He, he gave a federal proper to two agents in an assistant US attorney. He thought he was going to be cute and, and get by, right? He probably didn't think he was going to get jail time. And then guess what? They said, well, you're going to have to get a, a clear agreement and please guilt it. He backed off and now he took his chances. You know what he did? He's like that Christian Morris, right? Christian Morris wasn't going to get caught, anything. Right. Brian's safety belt was the tall guy with Doc here. He, he, he was smart enough. That kid constantly, the assistant US attorney that represents him, he was smart. He, he was able to wiggle that thing. Yeah. I don't know, but you know, I remember seeing a tall guy with Doc here. Come into the house. Right. That's, yeah. That's, that's, that's, that's John O'Keefe. Why didn't they call, why didn't they call the ATF guy that he went to, to, to erase all of his phone messages? Why didn't they, that would, that would have been a natural guy to call, wouldn't it? I mean, that guy's not going to give up his career for this, this, this lard ass. Sure. No, so let's, let's say it goes in this strategy, right? Yeah. Action. They had a loud, deep a corner. They, they, they cornered him. And all of these tried to defend the, the work on trash. They're defending against the third, pretty corporate. When all Jackson did said, wait a minute, you can't, my client can't, can't get hit and run. We're going to put evidence on. He didn't hit. Guess what, it mattered. The kid was simple. I was still hitting that. I don't know about the six people. They obviously made the extra, they had it there. He set up more. He set up golden nuclear roots. They have to, but clearly they put six witnesses on and they targeted the actual charge, not the third culprit. That's like well, they thought they were going to do. So Sean, you're saying they never considered murder too. So why didn't they just say not guilty on murder too? And we're, you know, we're deadlocked on a vehicular involuntary homicide and drunk driving. Why didn't they do it that way? Yeah. Honestly, to me, I think they were so damn confused by those jury slips. Even myself, I looked at it, I said, this is confusing. Yeah, you're right. I don't know why they didn't at least take murder off the table, right then and there. But I don't know how it's done in state court, but they got to tighten the ship up really tightening up this time. But I think there's a lot of time between now and July 22. A lot of things can happen. And like I said, when the federal government is backing, politically backing a person that was on this on this stand for killing a cop, that says a lot and not going to. They will come away with some flesh in their hand. They will. But the jury didn't know that, Sean, assuming that they weren't paying attention and that they were telling the truth every morning and nine when they came in. So they didn't know that. Right. Yeah, and yeah, unfortunately, the combo of its own witness, Ryan Nagle, let it out. And you know, so I get to give Jackson credit. He could have gone right then and there and said, oh, the feds, because Judge Beverly Canoni said, let it happen organically. Well, guess what, organically, you can't get any better though. And when you're when the government's witness, they're all witness, blurted it up. Right. The feds, yeah, there it is. That was it. All right, Sean McDonough. Thanks for being with us and keep us informed when you hear something. When are you going back on the air? You know, I was I was on with Ashley Banfield last night, had a nice talk and I'm going back on how I I'll let you know. I just I just got to take this all in. OK, we you know, I got used to listening to you at six six at night and you know, I'd listen on the replay. And then I'd hear you with Dylan at eight o'clock in the morning. So I don't expect it to be on an eight o'clock. But give us a give us a nightly nightly update. Please. I'm asking. I will. I will, Holly. And thank you so much for having me on. I really thank you, Sean McDonough. His his podcast is going through the motions. Thank you, Sean. El Hefei. As always, as soon as I returned to New England, I made a visit to Perfect Smiles. Dr. Houten and his team are the best in New England and I think the whole country. When you're planning dental work, you want to be confident about the quality of the staff and their work. Perfect Smiles has an easy to get to office in Nashua, New Hampshire, right over the Massachusetts line. And it's a comfortable office, too. Before my dental appointment, I sat in their massage chair in the lobby for about a half an hour. I only mentioned that because everything at Perfect Smiles from when you walk in the door and sit down in that massage chair to when you walk out with some goodies that they give you on your way out, everything is designed to make you as comfortable as possible. He's Howie Carr, and he's back. 978 says, "I thought I heard the Colonel fired Proctor, and then he cites the headline in the Herald. Karen Reed, lead investigator, trooper Michael Proctor fired." That was a lousy headline. That was the first headline last night. They weren't paying. Please, he was not fired. He still got his job. He's not doing anything, but he's still getting paid. He's not going to make 146,000 a year, but his base pay is 106,000 without overtime. That's what he's making now. Dave, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, Dave. Howie, you know better than anybody that any time you have a one-party state, and there's not two political parties vying for power going after each other all the time. This is the kind of corruption you end up with, and it's, it's, it's apparently predictable. It is? That's it. I agree. You know, it's, you know, now you don't even have like the slightest bit of, you know, oversight. And it, it is. It's the reality. And, and you know, this is not to say that Baker did a great job. Baker did a terrible, terrible job with the state police. But this, it's, it's just gotten worse and worse and worse. I'm Howie Carr. [MUSIC PLAYING]
