It's a journey into the heart of darkness, not for the faint of heart. Listen to True Crime reporter on the Pandora app, Apple podcast, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcast. [Music] Give me those all after party. Feliz, huebe, veves, six, twenty seven, twenty four baby. Primo van in the building. Cam, ari el mícho. All right, I have a proposition for you. [Music] Okay, I know we're about a week away from Fourth of July. Y esto la salivaración. We're gonna have Fourth of July off. Cues quiero. Yes. So here's my proposition. Wednesday. Okay, Wednesday? July 3rd. July 3rd. Right after the show, after we record our after party podcast. Right after the show. Since our studios are here in Santa Monica. What if right after we go to the beach that is five minutes away and have a beach day? Yes. You guys down? Just us. But. Or the girls too. What girls? [Music] [Music] Your boy's daughter is my little cousin. Yes. [Music] Where is pampers anymore? Oh my gosh. So the idea would be this. Since the girls and the girls, the girls, the girls, Ariela and Lani are on summer vacation. They would drive up. Oh, heck yeah. Meet us here at the studio. Uh-huh. [Music] I'll bring Georgie. Bring your brother, Georgie. Yeah. I can. He's working. Town to ditch. Came your little brother. He will not ditch that. He has paid good. Yeah, he's like, "Nah, you guys ain't worth it." Town will pay him better. Brother. Brother. We'll pay him in Subway sandwiches. And buy us all. I don't know. We'll pay him in tortoza. Come on. Dude sold. You guys down for real? Yeah. I think I'm pretty sure I have the day off. Come on. I'm on it. Positive I have the day off. This is already that. Prepare right now. Prepare the others. We're busy right now, guys. I'm actually working right now. Let's go. I know you're preparing your backpack. Yeah. Give away for the city of Pico Riora. That is awesome, Pico Riora. Thank you so much. Yeah. Over 1,000 backpacks. Give one over your lap. No, 1,300. We've already purchased them. 1,300 backpacks. We have a nice little budget. Yeah. That's going to be awesome out there. Shout out to everybody else. Philly says Pico Riora for doing that. Yeah. All right, guys. So beach day. Can we still have a pool day, though? You still want a pool party at the pad? Yeah. We'll still plan that out. Okay. Do you guys go into the ocean or not really? Yes. Kim. Yes. I know Pico Riora, you love too. Yes. Eddie? Yeah, I'm down. Georgie doesn't like the beach or brother. I'm down. He's not down. Yeah. He probably won't go. Damn, bro. No, ting out with Adena and Alanias. That's the key right there. Dang, I work. There's come lettuce. That's it. I feel like you're getting a little sick. So we'll figure it out. Don't figure it out. We'll figure it out. I'll see what I could do. Yeah. Even if it's for a few hours, but I'm excited for that. And then we'll also plan our little pool bodies. But I can imagine, bro, at the beach. I want to bring a table and a canopy. Dang, oh, you want to go all out. Yeah, I just want to chill. I know. You know where I got out of that way. Because it's from the parking lot all the way to right there. But it's something that has to be about me. [SPEAKING SPANISH] [SPEAKING SPANISH] With my fat ass literally walking through the sand. I'm like, dang, that's how you know. But it's-- I don't care. I'll still do it. But I mean, I guess I'll help. I guess. And he's down to carry stuff. Well, because I'm going to be sitting under the canopy very Augusto once it's set up. For sure. Whoever doesn't carry stuff can't sit under the canopy or eat any of the food or drinks. I mean, I just played. I'm just kidding. That'll be fun, man. You guys, would you guys be down to try boogie boarding? Yeah, actually, the last time I was there at the beach, there was like so many older adults boogie boarding. And then it seemed like the beach that I was at, they host like a camp. And there was mad kids learning how to do it. And I'm like, dang, they probably would. They're better than me. Yeah, for those of you who don't know what boogie boarding is, it's kind of like surfing. Latino surfing, literally. But you do it on your chest, on your panza. And it's a smaller board. And you just lay on it. Because I tried surfing growing up. I think it was like a freshman in high school. [SPEAKING SPANISH] Yeah, bro, I almost drowned. No. Yeah, the homies took me out. And then I got up. I was able to get up. Oh, wow. And I was riding a wave, probably for a good 10 seconds. It was stood up. I stood up. I don't believe it. After many tries, Kim, I didn't have this body back then. I was thinner. I stood up. Yeah. I was like, y'all are me way. That's not enough, though. [SPEAKING SPANISH] I guess I stepped too much towards the front of the board. It's balanced, yeah. And the front of the board went into the ocean. The wave came up behind me. No. Flipped me over. I felt like I was in a washer. Just tumbling under water. I didn't know what you was up. Down, left, right, either a pentel board. Mokos, on my head. Yeah. Good thing you didn't pass out. [SPEAKING SPANISH] Were your trunk still on when-- Yeah, after everything? A little bit. Yeah, I was freaking out. And then you know what saved me? What? My friend. I heard my friend yelling, bro, just stand up. Stand up. Because by that time, I was already in the shallow water. You're like, oh, OK, I'm dripping off for nothing. The reason I asked about the trunks is because one time I got stuck in a wave. And not my top didn't come off. But my bathing suit, I was thankfully. I was wearing a one-piece. But it kind of tangled up in the shorts. And I was wearing it. And I was like, dude, if I wasn't wearing these shorts, what would it be going on in the bottom? Yeah, facts. But you would still see the Chinese. Yeah, that's fine. I'd rather show that than be butt naked. Because I go in like crazy. So it always happens. That exact same thing that you said always happens to me, where the boogie board can happen on a boogie board, too, where it basically hits the bottom. And you end up catapulting forward. But one time I was going on a washing machine too long. And I was like, dude, what if I went backwards, like, Masspadentro into the ocean? I just can't stop spinning. So I was like, oh my god, this is taking a little too long. Like, I'm going to run out of air. I need to do something. So I put my hand on the ground to stop myself, to try to touch that. It was even worse. I started dragging. I got my butt all raspal. I started bleeding. Oh, like that kid? Yeah, because I tried to stop myself. But I was just going too long, too long. So I was like, this is like bad. What if it's sucking me in right now? I remember you said earlier, Kim, that boogie boarding is the Latino surfing. Yeah. But in reality, the Latino surfing is when you don't even have a board. And you just see a wave coming. You know, most of the intos. Yeah, it's like body surfing. No, it's going to pass. I'm going to this job. Let's go. Man, but hopefully we can make that happen. That would be a lot of fun. On the second half of the episode today, Primo Vane just got some breaking news about one of her good friends. [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH] This is a crazy story behind it. Let's tap into it. Coming up next. (upbeat music) Primo and I just found out that one of her guy friends just proposed to his hyna. - Dude, I'm tripping out. - After two years of dating, but why is their story wild? They're crazy. Why are you tripping out about it? - Okay, it's crazy. I'm not gonna say names. It's just like, oh my gosh, how cute little drone action? Sorry, I'm watching the video. It's crazy because they met. - Hold on. They had a drone at their proposal? - Yeah, he has a little drone moment. - This is giving Kim and Eddie right here. Eddie, take notes. - Yes, yeah. Well, I mean, I don't see their family. I feel like Kim and Eddie would have their family there, or someone. - Oh, couples, yeah. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - They got it planned out. - Eddie's already got it planned. - Yeah, so. - He's gonna be, he's gonna be on a boogie board. (laughing) - He's gonna come in on a boogie board. (laughing) - Same Chinese. - Oh, no. (laughing) - Okay, so what's going on with their story? - They met online, they met on Hinge. Yeah, so he met her through the dating app, and then when they met, they kind of connected, and I think they messaged for literally one day, and they talked on the phone, and it was like, they felt like connected, no. - What's she? - But it was a trip, because the next day, she is from Colombia, she's Colombian. So the next day-- - Like, actually from Colombia? - Yeah, Colombian, yeah. - And she's born in Colombia. - Born in Colombia. - Heck yeah. - Yeah, yeah. So the next day, she took off, and when you're from the motherland, you know when you leave, you don't go for just, I mean, some people go for just like a month, or a week, or whatever, she was gone for like three months. So the first three months, they dated basically online. - Long distance. - Long distance. They were FaceTime, and it was during the time of kind of the pandemic, so, well, the pandemic was still kind of like a thing where people were still working from home and stuff, so yeah, a lot of their dates were like on FaceTime, and that's when Netflix was doing the whole like, "Oh, you guys can watch together simultaneously." So they were watching like tons of shows and movies, like 'cause she had never seen Star Wars, he's a huge Star Wars nerd, so they'd watch the whole series together. It's all making sense to me. - Ooh. - Met on a hinge. After the first time, after the first day, they're like, "We're boyfriend, girlfriend." Aya's the Columbia, she had to go back to Columbia. - Ooh. (laughing) - She got married for the green card. - No! - The green card for the love of the green card, Lamita. That is what this is giving. - She's already a citizen, she's already big. Oh, I mean, well, her big sister came over with her, she's already good to go. You know what? - You can put a pair, right? - And I know. - It's so trippin'. Well, I get better, I get better. It's a trip, because like, it's just like, what is that thing that they say that you, every third person, like the world, the small world, like what, and every three people are connected? - We're all connected by three degrees or something like that. - Yeah. - I didn't know that. - I didn't know that. - Dick, what's the meant to somehow we're all connected, and I don't know the number, I don't know if it's three degrees, six degrees separation. - Yeah. - Dick is somehow we're all connected, like, you're gonna know somebody that knows somebody that is connected to you. - Like that one listener from Sacramento, I posted to my dad and she said, "Hey, I know who your dad is." - Dun, dun, dun! - And then she's like, "I'm your half-sister coach." (laughing) - No. - Everybody. - I actually used to live where I used to live, so we were from the same town, and our dads used to work together. Then they moved to Sacramento, and you know, her dad's out there, she sent me a picture of her dad and my dad together. - That's a trip. - And she listens to the show. - And have you ever seen a picture of your dad in that era? The one that she sent you? - Yeah, I mean, it wasn't that long ago. Like, they just moved, and she said that I went to her birthday party when we lived. - You killed her? (speaking in foreign language) - Yeah, and I have no idea. - So that's the concept behind, like, two, three. I forget what it is. - Yeah. - Google it real quick. Eddie, how many degrees? - I feel like it's-- - Separation, are we as humans, how was he? - A look up explanation of that. - Yeah, degrees of separation. But you were saying, but they're connected in another way? - No, I'm connected to her. - And she's born in Colombia, and you're connected to-- - She's born in Colombia, but my mom used to work. Oh, six. - Six degrees of separation is the idea that all people are six or fewer social connections away from each other. That sounds like a lot of people. - Well, yeah, or less, or few. - But so her mom used to work with my mom. - There it is. - And it's just, it was crazy, because when he started to show me pictures, 'cause we're good friends, when he told me about her and was dating her, I'm like, dude, didn't it? Gotta like, did I know her? I know her from somewhere. And when I get all three months went by, he finally was like, dude, I'm meeting her in person, 'cause he had never met her. Like, again, he met her on hinge one day. I'll all be okay, they weren't gonna meet up that first, like, time to be a message, right? So like, three months go by, he kinda went viral on TikTok too, 'cause he kinda did a little TikTok leading up to it. Yeah, like, hey, I met this girl on hinge. We've been talking all that. I'm finally gonna meet her. And he shows up at the airport with flowers, and like, you know, I think he had a sign for her, or whatever, but yeah, like, and they met, and it kind of-- - I feel like going well. - That probably made their relationship even stronger. - Yeah, like, going three months without ever seeing each other in person. - People usually smash within three months. - Multiple times, Kim? - Yeah. - You know, so the fact that this was a Christmas of like, just having peer conversations, like, back in the day, when I used to date, like, you would have those long, long phone calls. - Phone calls. - Phone call conversations. Where you just sitting there, like, getting hella sleepy, like, I used to love, and you're like, I don't toy, you know? - Or some people even fall asleep on the phone, they're like, oh, I'm gonna click, 'cause the person fell asleep, or whatever. - Yeah, no. - Yeah, it's for sure. - No, you say bye, no, you say bye. - Right. (speaking in foreign language) - See it now, they're gonna get married. Does she live out here now? - I know, yeah, she does. She actually, she was living in Miami because she, so they even, when she came back from Colombia, like, she had to, she was living in Miami. You know, her mom lives here, so she would come to visit for like, the summer or holidays and stuff. - All that land. - Yeah. - So she's never really lived in the Southern California area. - She did, but she like, pieced out for school, and then like, she stayed out there and worked, and it's crazy too, 'cause he's like, dude, I never thought that I would be with someone like her, 'cause she's, I mean, she's gorgeous. She's like, a fitness, like, a fitness girl. - Can we see? - Show Kim a picture. - Yeah, hold on one second. Oh my God. - I'll be honest with you guys, this is cute. - Who would you say is the one that God blessed him or her? - Oh my god. - I can't live forever yet, you know what I'm saying? Who's the one that upgraded for sure is gonna upgrade La Familia. - Wow. - So, Primavana is gonna show-- - No, I don't know. - She's looking for a good kid. - She does, but it's 'cause he-- - Well, Primavana is looking for that. Have you guys heard about this other viral couple? It reminds me of what Primavana's talking about. I don't know why they're a big deal, but every once in a while they'll pop up in my timeline or stories about them. - Yeah. - It's two gringos, a guy and a girl. They're two blonde people, and they just went to their first concert together, and everybody's like hyping them up as a couple. I think somehow they met on social media. There's two white people here in the US. - No, I haven't-- - I'm describing it really bad. But they're a big deal. It's like everybody's like about them. Watch, I'll find the name right now. This couple right here. (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) (speaking in foreign language) And on the recent first date, as an official couple, was a success. (speaking in foreign language) - That's-- - That was gay. - Liz Allierd, follow her. She has great stories and content right there. Homegirl from H town from Mega 101. Tyler and Gabby. - When I see stuff like that, I'm like, do you know how much stuff on social media is fake? Like, they'll be like, they'll make videos. There's this one video of this girl on a train and she was singing. Like, you know, when you're drunk and you're just having fun, it's Tuscantando. Like, (speaking in foreign language) dancing, looking crazy. And there's this guy on the subway 'cause he's like, (speaking in foreign language) like, (speaking in foreign language) Like, oh, it looks so cute. How she's having fun. Like, she looks like such a vibe. And everybody's like, "Girl, you have to date him." Like, he's so in love with you. (speaking in foreign language) The guy was staring at her. Fake story. - It was awesome. - They've been together. Yeah, all right, it's like this girl that's like me going to get my little brother's haircut and flirting with the barber. I've had a crush on him forever. And she's always been together. They've been together for two years. It's just clickbait. So I'm like, I always have to go back to the comments, click on that person's profile, then you see they've been together. - Right. (speaking in foreign language) - So Kim, I think this Tyler and Gabby couple, they somehow have a story like that. Where like social media brought them together, allegedly. But anyways, did you see, did you find a picture of your Colombian friend? Or are you still looking for a good one? - No, I found it. I found her IG. This is her, I don't follow her. So don't, uh-huh. All right. So Kim is looking right now. - Okay, first of all, the bumper is re, oh. - Yeah, she's like a fitness, like nutritionist. - Yes, Kim. You know her. (speaking in foreign language) Six degrees of separation. - No, but her body is nuts. Okay. - Okay, now go to her tags, go to her tag pictures. And then you can see my friends. - I don't know, this is a red flag. She doesn't have a picture of him. - Well, she neither does he. - And you said they've been together for two years? - Yeah, they've been together for a while. - And they just got engaged. - Okay, is this him? Is this him? - No, no, no, go back, the group, the group. - Oh my gosh. - Okay, so apparently she's beautiful. I haven't seen it, but Kim is saying she's gorgeous and she's a fitness model. I mean, there you go. - Fitness, not why. - (speaking in foreign language) - Or maybe not model, but just she's in the fitness. - Yeah, she's in the fitness. - All right, cool. - (speaking in foreign language) (laughing) - (speaking in foreign language) - I will say it doesn't look like he exercises much. (laughing) - (speaking in foreign language) - He's a keto-keto. - Okay, this is her. - She's nuts. - You could tell-- - He's a keto-keto-keto. - She's never had a cupcake in her life. Like, she never has had a cheat day. - No, she does, I guess. - Maybe. - Oh yeah, she's super healthy. - Go man, be in. - Yeah, she's super healthy. She's super fit, six pack, all the above. Maybe she sees him as a project. (laughing) - It's her home. - Oh my God. - Maybe she sees him as a project. - No! - It's gonna be like, being out of the air, watch. But, dude, I guarantee you. - Maybe he's really nice. - If you're a friend, if you're a friend. - I mean, you should have gone for him before. - Day, if your friend is gonna be getting married anytime soon. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - I guarantee you that she's gonna put him on a fitness. - What's your fitness plan? - Bro, you know, I'm not away. I'm not away. I'm not gonna put it in a fitness plan. I mean, that poor C, he would always be like in the gym. And they would be working out together at the gym. And I'd be like, "Do how embarrassing." - Funny, funny. - No, I'm just kidding. - Funner, when you get mad if your partner's like, get on a fitness class for a wedding? 'Cause I would, I would be like, first of all, do not tell me I need to lose weight. I would be so hurt. - I don't think I would get mad. I'd be like, "Well, you're as needs to lose weight too, fun song. Let's do it together." - That has, you're buying me the product. - So boy, did you do that for your wedding? 'Cause I just think for your wedding, you're one of us the best. - Obviously not. - Like, I would try, but I don't know if I would get there. Like, definitely not to her level. - When Jenna and I, my wife and I got married, I was 29 and I wasn't this torta, because-- - Nobody's been this torta. - We, well, guys, now I lost six pounds. Remember, I had a chore over the weekend? - Oh yeah, you'll find it. - I'm trying not to find it. - I found it. Like, I'm really doing, I'm like using it as motivation. - To keep going. - To keep going, I wanna lose another, another like, six to seven pounds. And then I'll be fine. Like, I'll still be torta-ish, but it's not that bad, you know? But to answer your question, Kim, I wasn't that chubby when I got married to Janet and I would play racquetball almost every day with the homies. And if you don't know about racquetball, bro, it is a great workout, 'cause you're sprinting back and forth inside a room. It's like four walls-- - Yeah. - In the back. - It's handball. - No, that's handball. - Yeah. - That's handball, but very similar to handball. - It's gonna kill those kind of for the racquet. - And honestly, and a lot of cholos play a handball on three walls. - And in jail. - Or at the park, if once they're freed. And this is inside a room. Like four walls, a ceiling. - They wear glasses, the guys that are playing. - Nobody. - That's handball. - Headband. - Headband, sweatband. - Kim, it is kind of dorky, but our family played it all. Bro, since I can remember. - Exactly, dorky's part. - And you remember playing as a family? - I do. I remember hitting my sister on accident and she was bleeding like crazy from her nose. - Oh, shoot. - 'Cause she was behind me and I didn't see her in. - Oh, no, no way. - With a racquet, just hit her with a ball. - Oh, you didn't hit her with a ball? - No, with a racquet. - With a racquet? - Yeah. - Oh, fuck. - And I got in trouble. I was like, she was behind me like, it's her fault, but no, I got in trouble. - Because we're Latino, we would try to maximize. 'Cause at that time, we would go to these courts where you would pay. - Yes. - You would put in like $20 or whatever and then it would turn on the lights for you for like an hour or whatever it was, right? So to be able to get more people in there, we would pay like two on two, three on three. So it was a hella squished in there, running around like crazy. So that's probably why that happened. - I'm not gonna like roast you because I recently got badminton. - Badminton. - What do you mean you got it? - Oh, 'cause he said. - Badminton. - Badminton. - What was he saying? - Badminton. - Badminton. - No, this isn't show. (speaks in foreign language) - Brigitte Tim. - Oh, my bad. - I got badminton or whatever. - Badminton. - You got a badminton? - Yeah, see, see, see, you don't say it. But it's like, it has like a little ball and then a net that comes out of it and then you play with a racquet and by the way guys, you guys should get it. It's only $34 at Walmart and it comes with a volleyball and it comes with a volleyball net. - (speaks in foreign language) - I am, but you guys have to be careful 'cause we broke it last summer. - No, no. - Because we got the volleyball nets right there, set up at the top. - Yeah, so I could just bring my badminton. - Oh, they do? - I'm the volleyball. - Okay, and then the other thing I need to get into is, what's the new type of tennis? - Pickleball. - Pickleball, yeah. - Yeah, I thought badminton. - A lot of seniors are playing pickleball. - Who? - Senior citizens. - Neta. - Yeah, because it's like low. - Oh, have fun. - You know? - That's what's up, man. - But that's why you guys should get the one from Walmart 'cause with pickleball or anything that requires a tennis, you have to like wait to see if they have it or like whatever and this you could just set up wherever you are. - At the park. - At the park, your backyard, the beach and it's $34, I was like amazed. - That's a deal right there and like Walmart. All right, y'all, we love you. Thanks for hanging out with us. - Yeah, let's get it mucho.
