What's up everyone and welcome back to the program. Yo, we got a wild update in this one folks, and it has to do with Caitlin Armstrong. She was the Texas Yoga instructor who murdered, allegedly, Anna Mariah Mo Wilson, the pro-cyclist, because Mariah Wilson was in a relationship with Caitlin Armstrong's ex. Well, Caitlin Armstrong, who was on trial for murder in Texas. She tried to run from the police yesterday, and she got away for about 10 minutes before she was recaptured. So, let's get into this article from Fox News, and let's see what's going on with this crazy lady. Headline, Caitlin Armstrong, Texas Yoga instructor, charged in love triangle murder, accused of escape attempt. This article was authored by Michael Ruiz. Caitlin Armstrong, the Austin, Texas woman, suspected of fatally shooting pro-cyclist, Anna Mariah Mo Wilson, in an alleged love triangle murder last year, is now accused of trying to flee from deputies on her way out of a Wednesday morning doctor's appointment. Where did she think she was going to go? Did she really think she was going to get away? What did she think she's Wesley Snipes in the movie The Fugitive? The utter stupidity of some people just amazes me. You've already been caught, they tracked you down all the way to Costa Rica, but you think you're going to get away this time and you're going to make your great escape? She has been in custody since last year, after leaving the country during the early stages of the investigation into Wilson's death. Armstrong was transported this morning for a doctor's appointment, Travis County Sheriff's Office, TCSO, Spokesman Drew Knight told Fox News Digital. As she and two corrections officers were exiting the medical building after the appointment, Armstrong ran. The former high school track star led police on a 10 minute foot chase, he said, but she couldn't shake them. Like, how does something like this even happen? How does somebody, who is being escorted by two guards, I'm guessing handcuffed, have a chance to even run? Once Armstrong was apprehended, she was transported to a local hospital to be checked out, he said. She is now back in TCSO custody. The 35-year-old former yoga instructor was arrested in Costa Rica last year after a 43-day manhunt stemming from Wilson's shooting death on May 11th of 2022. Armstrong allegedly dyed her hair and assumed a new identity, and one local ex-pat American said he went on dates with her. So she not only did that, but she had her sister's passport allegedly. So this lady made an effort to change her appearance, leave the country all when she was suspected of murdering Mariah Mo Wilson. Then, after she gets arrested, she tries to run from the police. I'm sure a jury is going to look very, very favorably on all of this, because what it does is it shows a jury that you were running from your trial, that you have something more to hide. And that's not going to work out well for you when it's time for the jury to take a look at all the evidence and render their decision. So she just dug her hole even deeper than it already was. Police allege Armstrong gunned down Wilson minutes after the 25-year-old victim returned to a friend's apartment following a night out with Armstrong's live-in boyfriend Colin Strickland. Like Wilson, Strickland was a professional gravel cyclist, whatever the hell that is, and the two allegedly had a brief fling in 2021. Court filing shows Strickland, Armstrong's boyfriend, repeatedly told detectives he did not believe she would have shot Wilson and that he did not think she was the jealous or the violent type. She's an incredibly kind, caring, sweet person who has helped me take care of my aging mother. Strickland told detectives according to a transcript of the interview. But Armstrong is accused of gunning down Wilson in a bathroom where a friend found her slumped over in a pool of blood hours later. On the night of the slaying, Strickland drove Wilson to her friend's apartment on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Moment after he pulled away, according to Austin Police, Armstrong's Jeep appeared on surveillance video taken from a neighboring home. So they have her on surveillance, they have the pings on the cell phone, they have the murder weapon, they have the bullet, they have the forensics, and it would seem to me that they have everything they need for that conviction. The friend came home separately and found Wilson with gunshot wounds. Police said shell casings discovered at the scene matched a handgun they later seized from Armstrong and Strickland's home. And according to the report, Strickland bought those guns for him and Caitlyn Armstrong. They had matching 9mm I believe it was. And the police, when they went and got the gun, the forensics popped hot to the scene and they matched the bullets that were pulled out of Mariah Wilson. Police questioned Armstrong on May 12th and told her she was not under arrest. They let her go, she then took a plane to New York, where she visited her sister before hopping on an international flight out of New Jersey. After weeks on the run Armstrong was captured on a beach in Costa Rica. And it was crazy when they were looking for her. During this manhunt, they had no idea where she went. There were sightings of her in New York, there were sightings of her at some campsite. And in reality, this lady had already hit the bricks and was down in Costa Rica. And the funniest part about all of that is, she went down there and tried to reignite her life. Become a yoga instructor again to all the same stuff that she was doing in America. As if the US marshals aren't going to check yoga studios. As if they're not going to check on all the things that you're into. So this lady really thought that she was going to get away with it. She thought that she was going to start a new life down in Costa Rica. She went and got a nose job, some plastic surgery. She was going out on dates with people. And she really thought that she was going to start a new life in Costa Rica. But the reality is, the vast majority of people who do dumb shit like this, they get caught. And Caitlin Armstrong is certainly no exception. Authorities sent her back to the US on an immigration violation and authorities booked her into the Travis County jail in Austin where she has been held on a $3.5 million bail ever since. Before the court issued a gag order on the case, Armstrong's defense disputed prosecutors claim that she saw Wilson as a romantic rival. As misogynistic and fictitious. Another gag order, huh? So every case just needs to have a gag order now? Why don't we just gag every case once it starts and be done with it? Enough is enough with the gag orders. Now every now and then a gag order certainly is necessary, not in this case. This case doesn't have nowhere near the notoriety of some of the other cases. And there does not need to be a gag order, at least in my opinion, hung over this one. But these judges, they seem to think they can just do whatever they want, and the vast majority of these judges run their courtrooms like many fiefdoms. Unrelated to the Wilson case, Armstrong, is also accused of running out on her tab for a $650 Botox procedure at Westlake Spa in 2018. Yo, Vanity will really kill you, huh? Vanity will come back and snap you in the ass every single time. And who goes and gets Botox and then runs out? Furthermore, how is the business are you not having people pay before they get their treatment? I don't trust people nowhere near enough. If I owned a business like that, you gotta pay up front, sorry homie. But for Caitlin Armstrong, the party's over. Running away from the police like this is really the final nail in her coffin, in my opinion. I don't think that there's any way that a jury looks at what happened here. All the evidence that stacked against her, the fact that she ran the Costa Rica, got plastic surgery, had somebody else's passport, then after getting arrested and brought back to the United States, she thinks it's a good idea to run away from the police. So I don't think that a jury is going to be looking too favorably on Caitlin Armstrong. And I think that when all is said and done here, she's going to end up getting the maximum sentence, whatever it is. Now we're talking about Texas, so the death penalty is certainly on the table, but I don't think that they're going to make this one a death penalty case. I do however think Caitlin Armstrong is going to spend the rest of her life behind bars, because they have a sufficient amount of evidence to really bring this one across the goal line. And when you have that kind of evidence and you have the forensics that they have, it's almost impossible for somebody like Caitlin Armstrong to deny that she's the person that they have. She's the person that they say she is, and now she's going to have a chance to argue her case in front of jurors in front of the judge, and she's going to get her chance to dispute what the government has to say about her. The problem for Caitlin Armstrong is none of it's going to match up, and everything that she says is going to be overshadowed by her actions, and her actions of course are the actions of somebody, in my opinion, who's guilty. If you're not guilty, you don't run the Costa Rica. If you're not guilty, you don't get facial surgery to try and change your appearance. If you're not guilty, you don't run from the COs. But Caitlin Armstrong did all of those things, and now when this trial starts, she's out of places to run, and she's going to be forced finally to face the music. And as this trial continues to go on, and once it starts, we'll have some updates, maybe not every day, like we do some of the bigger cases, but at least every week, we'll knock out an update and see where things stand in the trial.
