Beyond The Horizon

Timothy Haslett Is Charged With Murder And A Madalina Cojocari Update (7/11/24)

Timothy Haslett Jr. from Kansas City is facing new charges, adding to the already serious accusations against him. Initially, Haslett was arrested in October 2022 for allegedly kidnapping, raping, and holding a 22-year-old woman captive in his basement for over a month. The woman, identified as T.J. in police reports, managed to escape and seek help from a nearby residence.

Recently, a grand jury has brought additional charges against Haslett, including first-degree rape, second-degree assault, and first-degree kidnapping. The new charges come after further investigation revealed more evidence of his alleged crimes. Additionally, Haslett is accused of sodomy and endangering the welfare of a child, as more details about his conduct emerged during the investigation.

Complicating the case, a potential witness, Jaynie Crosdale, was found dead earlier this year. Authorities had been seeking her in connection to the case against Haslett. Her death raised further concerns about how the case and related investigations are being handled.

In the lastest development, he has now been charged with Jaynie's death.

In our second article...

Diana Cojocari, the mother of missing North Carolina girl Madalina Cojocari, has recently become a suspect in her daughter's disappearance. Madalina was last seen on November 21, 2022, but was not reported missing until December 15, 2022. Diana Cojocari was arrested for failing to report her daughter's disappearance and recently pleaded guilty to the charge.

Now, shortly after being named as a suspect in her daughters disappearance, it is being reported that she has fled the country.

Back in 2022, a man named Timothy Haslett was arrested in a Kansas City suburb after a woman escaped from his home and said that he was holding her hostage. Well now, we're finding out that this dude Timothy Haslett was not only a serial rapist, but he killed at least one woman, and that's just to start. My guess is that he has killed other women, and considering this information that's being released, I think that it's a good guess to say that he is somebody that probably has killed multiple women and is a serial killer. Now remember, we were talking about that previously, going back and forth if he was a serial killer or not, and I said then that he had all the hallmarks, he fit the profile of a serial killer, people don't kidnap women and keep them in a basement dungeon thinking they're gonna get away with it? This man had no intention of releasing these women, and my guess is they're gonna find more remains at some point. But today we have an article from DailyML.com and the headline, "Serial rapist is accused of killing woman, he held in torture dungeon, after her remains were found in a barrel two years after another victim, who he chained up and attacked, managed to escape." This article was authored by Paul Farrell. A man with a history of posting racist and misogynistic materials online, and who was already behind bars, accused of committing vicious sexual offenses from inside of his home dungeon, is now facing a murder charge. Well, color me shocked. You mean to tell me that this cycle path? Timothy Haslett is now alleged to be a murderer as well? I mean come on, who would have ever guessed? And considering the number of missing prostitutes in the area, my guess is that this dude is a serial killer, and we're gonna find that out very soon. Timothy Haslett, 41, was first arrested in late 2022, after a 22-year-old black woman ran to the home of one of his neighbors and said she had escaped from his sex dungeon in the Kansas City suburbs after a month of captivity. Imagine being held captive by this dude, or by anyone? The fear that must have been running through this poor lady's mind, and the abuse that she must have suffered, helicopters, volcanoes. On Tuesday, Clay County prosecutor Zachary Thompson announced that Haslett was now accused of the first-degree murder of sex worker, Janey Crossdale, 36. Her body was discovered in a barrel in a river in Missouri in June of 2023. She was shot dead. The 22-year-old victim previously told investigators that Haslett mentioned two other black women he kidnapped, who didn't make it. That victim said that Haslett regularly drugged her, forced her to perform sexual acts, rarely fed her, and liked to dress her in women's lingerie in front of her. Haslett's behavior was described as barbaric by Thompson. And when you take a look at this dude, oh yeah, bro looks like Ted Kuzinski's long-lost brother. Haslett was linked to Crossdale's death after the barrel she was found in was seen in pictures taken by investigators at his home. A photo was also found showing the slain woman in his dungeon, officials said. At the time the woman's body was found, her cousin, Nikia Crossdale, told KCUR that the victim, who went by Jaybird, was full of energy and life. Prosecutors believe that she was murdered in June 2022. Her body was found by kayakers on the Missouri River. Prior to that discovery, she had been considered a potential witness in the original case. The case against Haslett began in October 2023, when Haslett, surviving victim, made her way to a home in the community of Excelsior Springs. She was scared, starving, and wearing a trash bag and metal collar around her neck. This dude right here is one-six son of a bitch, and I don't think there's any doubt that he's guilty, right? Zero doubt. So let's have a nice quick trial, let's convict him, and then let's throw his ass directly in a volcano. She managed to escape as he took one of his children to school, shortly after his arrest as ex-wife sought full custody of the couple's young child. Now how was screwed up was the wife that this dude had custody in the first place? I mean for real? What the hell is going on down there in Missouri that a guy like this has custody of this kid? And that poor kid, can you imagine what sort of trauma that kid's gonna have to live with for the rest of its life? The woman told one of Haslett's neighbors, Nurse Lisa Johnson, about her ordeal, describing the suspect's sex dungeon, equipped with restraints, weaponry, including shock devices, and cameras. Can you imagine that this dude would have this whole entire dungeon setup and his children in this house? You want to talk about evil people, folks, this is it. It's bad enough to hurt anybody, but when you're doing this with your children present? Imagine if your kid stumbles downstairs and runs into this lady, what do you tell your kid? Oh, Dad's doing a science project, I mean, it's just all so bizarre to me. Like I can't even wrap my mind around some shit like this. She said that she was paid $350 by Haslett to go home with him. After she got in his truck, she accused Haslett of pulling a gun on her, forcing her to perform sex acts. He then drugged her, knocking her unconscious. Once inside his home, the victim said that she was abused and tortured on a daily basis while being forced to use a bucket as a toilet. So everything that he did to her should be visited upon him. Put him in some little dank ass dungeon ass cell, let him go to the bathroom and a bucket, and then when all said and done, when he's been held in those conditions for as long as he held this lady in those conditions, helicopters, volcanoes, and I'll gladly donate my time to be the one doing the pushing. It was such a soft help me, Johnson told delimel.com in 2022, and I looked out through our clear screen door and this girl was hunched along the steps. I could see immediately she was in desperate trouble, she looked something out of a horror movie. I can only imagine. Some lady was kept in a dungeon by some wannabe buffalo bill, she escapes and shows up at your house, I'm guessing she's going to be looking like she's in bad shape. And as the neighbor who, you know, gets this knock on the door, talk about surprised. You're sitting around watching Danson with the stars or whatever, and this lady shows up at your house talking about your neighbor was keeping her in a dungeon? Pretty sure nobody has that on their neighborhood bingo card, I could see immediately she was in desperate trouble, she looked something out of a horror movie. She had a metal homemade device tied around her neck, there was duct tape that she had pulled down off her face, which had been covering her mouth. Her wrists and ankles were messed up, you could tell she had been tied and whipped, the wounds over her body, wrists and ankles were actually bleeding. After the rescue investigators recovered a Samsung phone with pictures and videos of the dungeon and of women in captivity, so where are all these women that were in captivity? If none of them have come forward or the police can't locate them, then my guess is that this sick degenerate killed them, the physical, psychological and sexual torture described by the defendant surviving victim is brutal and barbaric Thompson said. When crimes like this occur in our community, it can be devastating, I want the citizens of Clay County to know that the men and women of the Clay County prosecutor's office are working hard inside and outside of the courtroom to keep them safe and deliver justice. Well, there's been a lot of talk about a serial killer in the Kansas City area and my guess is that Timothy Hazlett's it, and would anybody be shocked if that evidence came to the forefront after this arrest, after all this evidence that's come forward? As a result of her statements, Hazlett was charged with rape, kidnapping and aggravated assault. In 2023, he entered a plea of not guilty, his bond has been set at 5 million. Why does he even have a bond? A guy like this should have no bond, shouldn't even be anything that could happen, not even in the realm of possibility. Despite his claims that two of his kidnapping victims died, Hazlett is so far only charged with one murder, Missouri is a death penalty state, well fuck around and find out, and hopefully after he's convicted because he's going to be convicted, they get busy with that death penalty instead of letting bro post up on death row for years and years and years. Let's accelerate the process when we know for a fact that the person is guilty. Alright, on to our second article, and this article is from the New York Post and the headline. "Mom of Missing, North Carolina Girl, Madeline Okojakari, Allegedly Fleeze U.S., After Being Named Suspect in Daughters 2022 Disappearance." This article was authored by Richard Polina. North Carolina police fear the mother of Madeline Okojakari, who vanished in 2022, has fled the U.S. just weeks after she was named a suspect and her daughter's disappearance according to reports. So this lady gets named a suspect and then is able to bounce from the United States, according to the police, there was nothing they could do to stop her. Here's an idea, charger with something else. At the very least, charger with something, get a hold of them, charge on her, and let the court figure it out, but instead let's just let her bounce and go to Moldova or wherever the hell she's going to go. The startling revelation came after a photo allegedly showing Diana Kojakari on a plane, heading to Eastern Europe with her mother, sitting behind her, was posted to a Facebook group where is Madeline Okojakari on July 6th, on the way from New York JFK to Frankfurt than Bucharest after 9 years of absence from the country. The post caption read, "Oh, I wonder why after 9 years you're headed back now." I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that, you know, your daughter knows where Madeline is, right? If she didn't know where Madeline was and she was so worried about her daughter, why would she be going back to a different country and not staying here and looking for her daughter? But instead, this kafuzah has other ideas, huh? The Cornelius Police Department said it was aware of the photo but could not confirm when it was taken or Kojakari's current whereabouts. Well, isn't that nice, just absolutely fantastic. The Police Department is aware of the posts that indicate Diana Kojakari may have left the country. However, we were unable to confirm this information. Cornelius Police Chief David Baucom told the US son on Tuesday, Baucom said police are unable to prevent Kojakari from leaving the country and that she does not currently have any act of warrants for her arrest. Kojakari, who was born in Moldova and holds citizenship there, has several family members and friends who reside in the Eastern European country, according to the son. Kojakari's neighbor claimed to have seen Kojakari placing suitcases in a car with two people inside last Tuesday afternoon and then driving off, five days before the photo of the mom, circulated on social media, according to WCCB. Oh yeah, she made a run for it, 1000%. The bad news for her though, is there's extradition laws in Moldova, so good luck with that and if she thinks going to another country is going to protect her if she gets indicted, she is sorely mistaken. He told the outlet that he had not seen her since. Police confirmed they confiscated Kojakari's passport when they arrested her in December 2022 and never gave it back. However, a source in the department told the outlet she may have applied for an emergency passport which would have allowed her to leave the US. Police say they have not spoken with the mother since she was released from jail in May. A Romanian reporter has claimed Kojakari is not in Moldova, but in neighboring Romania according to WCCB. She's definitely not in America, I'll tell you that much. There's no way that she's here anymore, she got on that plane and she dipped. Meanwhile a little Madalina, who knows where she is and I guess her mom doesn't care. Bucharest the capital of Romania where the post alleged Kojakari would be traveling is about 200 miles from the border of Moldova. The US has an extradition treaty with Romania, but not with Moldova according to the US justice department. And honestly that does make sense, Moldova not having an extradition treaty with America? I figured you know, being in Europe they probably would, but I guess not. And that'll certainly make it a little bit more difficult, right? Unless of course she stays in Romania where there is an extradition treaty. But even in Moldova, even though there's not an extradition treaty, there are ways to go about getting her, right? You can get Interpol involved, there are plenty of ways to go about it. Certainly a bit more difficult, but there are ways. Madalina Kojakari was last seen publicly on November 21, 2022 when she was getting off for school bus from Bailey Middle School, but her mother didn't report her as missing until nearly a month later after a school resource officer pressed her on the girl's prolonged absence from class. Kojakari, 37, and the girl's stepfather Christopher Pometer have both been arrested in charge with failure to report their child is missing in December of 2022, just weeks after Madalina was last seen. Kojakari initially pleaded not guilty to the charge, but later accepted the guilty verdict and was sentenced to 24 months in a maximum security prison. She was released from prison after serving 520 days behind bars. On June 25, the Cornelius police department said they were continuing to seek information in their search for the missing school girl and that they considered Kojakari a suspect in their investigation. However, law enforcement was unable to file any new charges against Kojakari. Pometer, who was stuck by his non-guilty plea, was found guilty of failing to report his step daughter's disappearance and sentenced to 30 months of supervised probation in June. He has not been named a suspect in his stepdaughter's disappearance. Nearly 19 months after Madalina vanished in North Carolina, the Cornelius police department told Inside Edition, on July 1st, that they believe the missing 13-year-old is still alive. Well, let's hope that that's the case and that when all is said and done, they find Madalina alive because usually these kinds of stories have a different outcome. And when the mother is bouncing to move to a different country right after she's named as a suspect, what does that tell you? Either way, we're going to keep on this one and when we get some information to share, we'll have it added to the catalog. Until then, all the information that goes with this episode can be found in the description
