McCauley, Ms. Maxwell, during what time period, I know you said, I believe you said, you met Jeffrey in 1991. If I'm correct there and you've known him through the present, during what time period within those years would you say your relationship was the closest with Jeffrey? Max, what do you mean by close? Sorry. McCauley, I think earlier today you testified that at some point, in time, you considered yourself to be his girlfriend. Is that the closest you would say that your relationship was with him? And if so, what time period was that? Mr. Pacliuca, objection to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, I don't think I said I was his girlfriend. I would like to think of myself as maybe, I don't think, I sometime in the mid 90's. McCauley, how close was your relationship? Maxwell, we were friendly. McCauley, without going into detail, was your relationship with him intimate? Maxwell, yes. McCauley, when was the last time you had contact with Jeffrey Epstein? Maxwell, what do you mean by contact? McCauley, either a phone call or email or anything of that nature? Maxwell, as best as I can recollect, sometime last year. McCauley, so you haven't talked to him? Like, for example, last week, you didn't talk to him? Maxwell, I did not. McCauley, how many times have you had either direct or indirect meaning in the presence of him or calling or emailing contact with Jeffrey Epstein from December 30, 2014, until now? Maxwell, I'm sorry, can you just? McCauley, either in person or by phone or by email from December 30, 2014, until present? Maxwell, I can't really characterize that, but not very much. There was a period when in January, when you filed your whatever you filed, where we spoke, and then since then, not much at all. McCauley, can you estimate how many emails you would have sent Jeffrey from the period of December 30, 2014, to the present? Maxwell, not very many at all. McCauley, more than 20, Maxwell, I really wouldn't be able to characterize it because it wouldn't be that many. I wouldn't know. McCauley, more than 50, Maxwell, it would be on a lesser side, not on the more side. McCauley, can you give me a number? Maxwell, I honestly couldn't. I would be guessing. McCauley, how many emails has Jeffrey sent you from the time period of December 30, 2014, to the present? Maxwell, I would say less emails, even less emails than I sent him. McCauley, more than 20, Maxwell, I would say on the lesser side. McCauley, less meaning 10, Maxwell, I can't really recall, very little. McCauley, when you spoke with Jeffrey in January of 2015, what did he say to you? Maxwell, I really couldn't remember exactly what he said to me. McCauley, did you talk about Virginia Roberts? Maxwell, I'm sure we did, but I couldn't recall the exact conversation. McCauley, does Jeffrey Epstein send you text messages? Maxwell, no. McCauley, do you send him text messages? Maxwell, no. McCauley, how many phone calls have you had with Jeffrey Epstein since December 30, 2014? Maxwell, again, very few. More than five? Maxwell, probably as many as a few emails that I would characterize, so just very few. I mean a small number. McCauley, are you aware of any disagreement between your views about Virginia Roberts and Jeffrey's views about Virginia Roberts? Mr. Paglioka, object to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, I cannot speculate on his views, I can only testify on my own views. McCauley, earlier you went through the series of lies. Have you talked to Jeffrey about the lies, and does he agree with you? Maxwell, I have discussed some of the issues with him, and I can't remember specifically which ones, I just don't recall, I'm sorry. McCauley, do you recall him telling you that he didn't agree with you on any of those? Maxwell, I don't recall him saying that. McCauley, do you have a joint defense agreement with Jeffrey Epstein? Maxwell, I believe I do. McCauley, do you have a joint defense agreement with redacted? Maxwell, I don't believe I do. McCauley, earlier today in your testimony, when I was asking you some questions, you said that you couldn't answer, but that Jeffrey Epstein could answer that question. Would Jeffrey Epstein be in a position to confirm or deny some of the obvious lies that we've discussed today? Mr. Paglioka, objection to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, I can't possibly testify to what Jeffrey could or would say, I can't speak for him. McCauley, would Jeffrey be able to confirm or deny whether he had sex with Virginia Roberts? McCauley, would Jeffrey be able to confirm or deny whether he had a sexual massage from Virginia that first time she came to his mansion in Palm Beach? So, as I testified, everything that she said about the first meeting didn't happen. So, McCauley, has he told you that everything about the first meeting didn't happen? Maxwell, I know it didn't happen because she put me in that room. McCauley, I understand you know, but as Jeffrey said, when you are talking about the obvious lies, oh yeah, that never happened. Mr. Paglioka, objection to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, I can't specifically recall that. I don't know, but he has to agree with me because it didn't happen. McCauley, can Jeffrey Epstein? I can only say what I know to be true. Maxwell, has Jeffrey talk to you about the fact whether redacted was on his island? Maxwell, as best as I can recollect, he said he was not on the island. Maxwell, I can't speak to what Jeffrey would say. McCauley, has he talked to you about Virginia Roberts' statement that she was in the presence of redacted? So my focus has always been the lies and the obvious lies is something I can personally attest to. I cannot possibly talk for anything else. Maxwell, I don't recollect him saying to me that Virginia didn't meet redacted. I'm sure that wouldn't be a conversation that we would have. It doesn't affect me, whether. So, I'm really only concerned about the lies that were told as regards to me. McCauley, can Jeffrey Epstein confirm or deny whether you sent Virginia to give him a massage? McCauley, do you have knowledge of whether she had a sexual relationship with Jeffrey Epstein? Maxwell, I have no knowledge of that. McCauley, what was the last time you spoke with her? Maxwell, not very long, I don't know, I have no idea. McCauley, would it be yours? Maxwell, yes. McCauley, what do you remember about redacted? Maxwell, nothing really. McCauley, do you remember what she looks like? Maxwell, I would just be speculating on how I remember. I couldn't describe her. McCauley, do you recall traveling with her? Maxwell, I don't. McCauley, did you ever go to her home? Maxwell, I don't believe you. I did. McCauley, do you know where she lives? Maxwell, I don't. McCauley, would you have met her through Jeffrey Epstein? McCauley, so, what's your, what recollection do you have of her? Do you have a specific recollection of meeting her somewhere? You just don't know when that was. McCauley, when redacted, worked for Jeffrey Epstein, did she perform massages? Maxwell, I have testified that when redacted came originally, she came to answer telephones. I believe at some point, she became a masseuse. I don't recollect when I personally had massages from redacted. McCauley, what did redacted do for Jeffrey Epstein? Maxwell, when she came, she answered phones, and at some point I believe I don't have any firm recollection, but I believe she went to school to become a masseuse, and I had massages from her. McCauley, did you ever have any sexual interaction with her? McCauley, did you have any sexual contact with her in the presence of Jeffrey Epstein? Mr. Pagliuca, same instruction. Maxwell, I really don't recall but a fair amount. McCauley, did the massages involve sex? Mr. Pagliuca, I'm going to instruct you not to answer.
