In this episode, we're going to pick right back up where we left off with the Elaine Maxwell deposition. McCauley, are you familiar with a person by the name of redacted? Maxwell, I am. McCauley has redacted, given a statement to the police about you performing sexual acts on her. Maxwell, I have not heard that. McCauley has redacted, given a statement to the police about Jeffrey Epstein performing sexual acts on her. Mr. Pagliukka, object to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, I have not heard that. McCauley, how do you know redacted? Maxwell, redacted, redacted and redacted. McCauley was redacted under the age of 18. Mr. Pagliukka objects to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, I don't recall how old redacted was. McCauley, did she tell police that Jeffrey Epstein assaulted her sexually? Mr. Pagliukka objects to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, I never heard that. McCauley, did or redacted, recruit or bring girls to the home that were under the age of 18? Mr. Pagliukka, object to the form and the foundation and I think this has been asked and answered already. McCauley, you can answer the question. Maxwell, I have no idea what redacted did. McCauley, you never observe redacted with girls under the age of 18 at Jeffrey Epstein's home. Mr. Pagliukka, object to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, the answer is no. I have no idea. McCauley, do you know redacted? Maxwell, I do. McCauley, what is your relationship with redacted? Mr. Pagliukka objects to the form and Maxwell answers, what do you mean, what is my relationship? McCauley, are you friendly with him? How do you know him? Maxwell, he is the husband of redacted. McCauley is redacted, one of your friends? Maxwell, yes. McCauley, did you ever send Virginia to redacted to give him a massage? Mr. Pagliukka, objection to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, no. McCauley, did you ever instruct Virginia Roberts to have sex with redacted? Mr. Pagliukka, objection to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, I have never instructed Virginia to have sex with anybody ever. McCauley, how old was redacted when she met Jeffrey? Mr. Pagliukka, objection to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, I have no idea. McCauley, was she under the age of 18? Mr. Pagliukka, objection to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, I just testified I have no idea how old she was. McCauley, you testified she was your friend. You don't know how old she was when she met Jeffrey? Maxwell, that happened sometime in the 70s. How would I know or the 80s? I have no idea. Can you testify to what your friends did 30 years ago? McCauley, you don't ask the questions here, Miss Maxwell. What about redacted? When did you first meet redacted? Maxwell, I don't recall the exact date. McCauley, did you hire redacted? Maxwell, I don't hire people. She came to work at the house to answer phones. McCauley, where did you meet her? Maxwell, I just testified I don't recall exactly where I met her. McCauley was one of your job responsibilities to interview people that would then be hired by Jeffrey. Maxwell, that was one of my responsibilities. McCauley, do you recall interviewing redacted? Maxwell, I don't recall the exact interview. No. McCauley, do you know what tasks redacted was hired to perform? Maxwell, she was tasked to answer the phone. McCauley, did you ever ask her to rub Jeffrey's feet? Mr. Pagliukka, objection to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, I believe that I have read that, but I don't have any memory of it. McCauley, did you ever tell redacted that she would get extra money if she provided Jeffrey massages? Maxwell, I was always happy to give career advice to people, and I think that becoming somebody in the healthcare profession, either exercise instructor or a nutritionist or a professional massage therapist is an excellent job opportunity. Hourly wages are around seven, eight, nine dollars an hour, and as a professional healthcare provider, you can earn somewhere between, as we have established, 100 to 200 dollars, and to be able to travel, and have a job that pays, that is a wonderful job opportunity. So in that context of advising people for opportunities for work, it is possible that I would have said that she should explore that as an option. McCauley, did you tell her that she would get extra money if she massaged Jeffrey? Maxwell, I'm just saying, I cannot recall the exact conversation. I give career advice, and I have done that. McCauley, did you ever have redacted massage you? McCauley, I did. McCauley, how many times? Maxwell, I don't recall how many times. McCauley, was there sex involved? Maxwell, no. McCauley, did you ever instruct redacted to massage redacted? Maxwell, I don't believe I have no recollection of it. McCauley, did you ever have sexual contact with redacted? Mr. Pagliuka, object to the form and the foundation. You need to give me an opportunity to get in between the questions. And that goes for anything that involves consensual sex on your part. I'm instructing you not to answer. McCauley, did you ever have sexual contact with redacted? Maxwell, again, she is an adult. McCauley, I'm asking you, did you ever have sexual contact with redacted? Maxwell, I've just been instructed not to answer. McCauley, on what basis? Maxwell, you have to ask my lawyer. McCauley, did you ever have sexual contact with redacted that was not consensual on redacted's part? Mr. Pagliuka, you can answer non-consensual. Maxwell, I've never had non-consensual sex with anybody. McCauley, not redacted? Mr. Pagliuka, objection. Maxwell, I just testified that I never had non-consensual sex with anybody ever at any time, at any place, at any time, with anybody. McCauley, so if redacted were to testify that she did not consent to a sexual act that you participated in? Maxwell, I just told you that I have never, under any circumstances, with anybody, at any time, in any place, in any form, had non-consensual relations with anybody. McCauley, did you introduce redacted to redacted? Mr. Pagliuka, objection to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, I've again read that redacted claim that she met me or that she said she met redacted. I don't know if I was the one who made the introduction or not. McCauley, do you know a female by the name of redacted? Maxwell, I do. McCauley, how do you know her? Maxwell, redacted? McCauley, so she worked for you? Maxwell, yes. McCauley, did you hire her? Maxwell, again, Jeffrey hired people. McCauley, did you have sex with her? Mr. Pagliuka, this is the same instruction about consensual or non-consensual. McCauley was redacted under the age of 18 when you hired her? Maxwell, no, I didn't hire her. As I said, Jeffrey Epstein did. McCauley, did you ever have sex with redacted? Mr. Pagliuka, objection to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, how would I know what somebody else did? McCauley, you weren't involved in the sex between Jeffrey redacted and yourself? Maxwell, we're all ready to this. McCauley interrupts her. Were you involved with sex between Jeffrey redacted and yourself? Mr. Pagliuka, everyone is talking over each other. You are the question. Again, you know what the instruction is. If there is any consensual issue involved, I instruct you not to answer. Maxwell, moving on. McCauley, so you're refusing to answer that question. Maxwell, I've been instructed by my lawyer. To that, McCauley keeps hammering away. Did you ever have sex with Jeffrey redacted Virginia and yourself when Virginia was underage? Maxwell, absolutely not. Mr. Pagliuka, we've been going for about an hour. I would like to take a five minute break, please. McCauley, I'm almost done. Mr. Pagliuka, you're not going to allow us a break? McCauley, as soon as I get through my line of questioning, which is perfectly appropriate. McCauley, did redacted travel with you and Jeffrey to Europe? Virginia, I'm sure she did. McCauley, what is she doing today? Maxwell, I have no idea. McCauley, do you speak to her regularly now? Do you speak to her? Maxwell, no. McCauley, do you know where she lives? Maxwell, no. McCauley, do you know what country she lives in? Maxwell, no. McCauley, where's the last place you know that she lived? Maxwell, last place I knew for sure, was in Los Angeles. McCauley, when did she stop working for you? Maxwell, 2001, 2002. McCauley, what task did she perform for you? An official message from Medicare. A new law is helping me save more money on prescription drug costs. You may be able to save too. With Medicare's extra help program, my premium is zero and my out-of-pocket costs are low. Who should apply? Single people making less than $23,000 a year or a married couple who make less than $31,000 a year. Even if you don't think you qualify, it pays to find out. Go to ssa.gov/extrahelp paid for by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Maxwell, she helped me with moving in and out of houses, construction. She was a general help. She helped with buying things that needed to be purchased. If I needed her to stand in for me during meetings, it was a very wide-ranging job. McCauley, did she ever bring females to perform massages on Jeffrey, Mr. Pagliuka, objection to form and foundation? Maxwell, what are you asking me? McCauley did redacted? Was it ever redacted's responsibility to bring females to the house for the purpose of massaging Jeffrey? Maxwell redacted's job was to help me with the house and work in homes. It was not her job to whatever you just said, bring masseuses. McCauley, did she do that? Maxwell, I have no recollection, I have no idea. McCauley, did you pay redacted or did Jeffrey payer? Maxwell, Jeffrey. McCauley, do you ever recall how much she was paid? Maxwell, I do not. McCauley, I think we can take a break now. After a short break everybody's back and we are on the record and starting disc number two. McCauley, Miss Maxwell, I asked you about Virginia Roberts earlier, can you describe what Virginia Roberts duties were when she was with Mr. Epstein, Mr. Pagliuka, objection to the form and the foundation? Maxwell, I believe that Virginia was a masseuse. McCauley, was Virginia required to dress up in any way for massages? Pagliuka, objection to the form and the foundation? Maxwell, I have no idea. McCauley, did you provide Virginia without fits to wear four certain massages? Maxwell, I have no idea what you're talking about. McCauley, for example, did you ever provide Virginia with a schoolgirl outfit to wear for a massage? Maxwell, I have no idea what you're talking about. McCauley, so you didn't provide her with that? Maxwell, as I just testified, I have no idea what you were talking about. McCauley, I was trying to interpret whether you didn't understand what a schoolgirl outfit was or you were saying that it didn't happen. Maxwell, I clearly know what a schoolgirl outfit is, I have no recollection of providing anybody with a schoolgirl outfit. McCauley, did you have a set of outfits used by the massage therapist that would include things like a schoolgirl outfit or a black patent leather outfit or anything of that nature? Mr. Pagliuka, object to the form and the foundation? Glane Maxwell, that would be just another one of Virginia's lies. McCauley, you didn't have anything like that? Maxwell, I did not. McCauley, did you have a basket of sex toys that you kept in the Palm Beach house? Mr. Pagliuka, objection to the form and the foundation? Maxwell, first of all, what do you mean? McCauley, a laundry basket that contains sex toys in it? Mr. Pagliuka, objection to the form and the foundation? Maxwell, can you ask the question again? McCauley, did you have a laundry basket that contains sex toys in it in the Palm Beach house? Mr. Pagliuka, objection to the form and the foundation? McCauley, did you have a laundry basket of sex toys in the Palm Beach house? Mr. Pagliuka, same objection. McCauley, you can answer. Maxwell, I don't recall anything about laundry baskets full of sex toys. McCauley, do you recollect having sex toys at the Palm Beach house? Maxwell, you have to define what you are talking about. McCauley, a sex toy meaning a vibrator of some kind, sometimes they are called dildos of that nature, anything like that? Maxwell, I don't recollect anything that would formally be a dildo, anything like that? McCauley, how would you describe the sex toys? Maxwell, I wouldn't describe sex toys. McCauley, did you ever have anything that was of an electronic nature that would be used during sex? Mr. Pagliuka, objection to the form and the foundation? Maxwell, I have no idea what you were referring to. Maxwell, Exhibit 3, marked for identification, redacted, redacted, redacted, redacted, redacted, we're talking about four pages of redactions. Then finally, Mr. Pagliuka, objection to the form and the foundation. Maxwell, first I have to read this. McCauley, sure. I will stop the clock while the witness is reading. Mr. Pagliuka, no? McCauley, yes, if she is going to read the whole document, I will stop the clock. Mr. Pagliuka, if you've given her documents to refresh her recollection, we are on the clock here. Miss McCauley, then we will take it up with the judge. Mr. Pagliuka, read whatever it is you need to answer the question. McCauley, I'm going to set the documents aside and I'm just going to ask you a question, independent of the document. McCauley, do you recall having a basket full of sex toys? Maxwell, I already told you I did not. All right, we're going to wrap up there and in the next episode we'll pick up where we left off.
