What's up everyone, and welcome back to the program. So there's a story down here in Houston that's crazy as hell, and it has to do with the woman who went missing, and her dog was found 9 days later during a storm. So the woman goes missing, 9 days later her dog turns up, but yet we still have no sign of the missing woman, Christina Johnson. And her family is obviously very concerned, considering Christina went missing 2 weeks ago on the 6th of March. So she's out here taking her dog for a walk, and all of a sudden she just goes missing. If that's not concerning as a family member, or anyone really, then I don't know what is. Today's article is from the DailyML.com and the headline, "Mystery Deepens as Missing Houston Woman's Crossberry Dog Miraculously Found Wandering Alone in Storm, 9 Days After the 27-year-old Vanished While Walking Her Pet." This article was authored by Isabel Stanley. Police searching for a woman who went missing while walking her dog have found the pup named Max, who was wandering alone in a storm 7 miles away. Now, at least that's good news, right? Poor dog, and I'm sure that her family wants the dog, you know, as a part of her basically. And of course, they want to make sure that the dog is good to go, that way when Christina comes home, she has her dog waiting for her. Former youth tennis champion Christina Johnson, 27, disappeared on March 6 after taking her small 10-year-old cross-breed pet out for a walk in Houston, Texas. This was something that she did each morning, but she's now been missing for 14 days. So that's a bit concerning. Now, did somebody pick up on her pattern? Was somebody waiting for her? Did she have an "X" that she was beefing with? These are all questions that I'm sure the investigators are diving into. Her father raised the alarm when she did not return home, and then on Friday, Max was discovered walking on his own in a major storm looking lost and afraid. Christina's father, Emmanuel Johnson, said the fact that they'd found the dog, but not his daughter, was very alarming as she always has Max with her. Now, for any of you out there who have a dog, you already know, there's zero chance you're letting your dog wander off without you. My dogs are part of my family. And there's no chance in hell that if I'm capable of protecting my dogs, that I won't do it. And I'm sure that's the same for Christina. Somebody that's always with their dog brings them everywhere. I'm pretty sure that Christina's not going to let Max just go wander off on his own. Police have widened their search and appeal, but are yet to find any signs of her, Emmanuel told K-H-O-U something ain't right, obviously she's in danger. And you gotta ring those alarm bells, man. Something like this happens. Time is of the essence. So it's important that the message is broadcast far and wide. Christina had recently graduated from Alderson Brody's University in West Virginia and moved back home to her father's house while she decided what to do next. Emmanuel said she had established a routine where she would take her laptop and walk with Max to the nearby Jack in the Box or the Hackberry Community Center. All right, so those are the places where you have to start. If that was where she was going all the time, chances are somebody out there might have recognized her patterns. And if somebody has ill intentions and they start formulating a plan and you show up to the same spot every single day, it obviously makes things a lot easier for the perpetrator. Because they know your patterns, they've established your routine. And not only do they have the element of surprise on their side, now they have a full-on profile basically of what you're doing at that time of day and where you're going to be doing it. So when she didn't return home from her walk, he became concerned and reported her missing on March 9th. He told KHOU, he was feeling a real confusion and a sense of loss right now, saying I don't understand where she is. And one of the fears as a parent obviously is that your child was kidnapped, she was sold into human trafficking, whatever. And then of course there's always the darker thoughts that something even worse has happened. So this man right now, can you imagine what he's going through? And then as you're already paranoid, you're already freaking out about what's going on, the dog shows up, that has to have a chilling effect, especially knowing that she was so tight with her dog. Because like I said before, you're not just going to let your dog go. There is no way in hell that's going to happen. She usually comes home before the evening but didn't come back that evening. He said he was worried as she left home without her phone and he said she had been going through a little depressive state. Well, there's that. Certainly something that has to be taken into consideration unfortunately. When people are depressed, if they have a mental break, things can go south really quick. And we've talked about this numerous times. It doesn't take much for somebody who is suffering with serious depression to really lose it all. And while I'm certainly not saying that's what happened here, you have to take it into account. We just don't have all the details. So basically everything's on the table. The woman who found Max Callie Clemens shared a photo of him on Facebook and said Max was found tonight, seven and a half miles away, a manual came by and got him. She said that she had found him wandering around on his own during a ferocious storm over the weekend in a neighborhood on Cedar Creek Drive. So I don't know how much we can extrapolate from that considering it was a few days after and we know dogs can get around. They can walk pretty quickly and get to neighborhood to neighborhood. So seven miles isn't that long of a journey. But with that said, at least it gives them a little bit of a jump off point, a place where they can at least take a look and start looking for any sign of what might have happened to Christina. She said that she called his name and he came to her letting her pick him up and put him in her car. The dog was soaking wet and shaking with exhaustion and fear. I can't even imagine poor little dog running around middle of his storm. All of this goes down. Who the hell knows what happened to his human either something really bad happened to her at the hands of somebody else or maybe something happened to her at her own hands. But the thing that makes me hesitant about the self harm route is the fact that she was with her dog and somebody who loves their dog as much as she allegedly loved their dog as crazy as it may sound is going to leave their dog unattended if they plan on hurting themselves. My guess is if she planned this, she would have left the dog at home, right, where her dad could have taken care of it Johnson's father said he hasn't been the same since coming home and has hidden under the table and seemed afraid. He told click to Houston. I think in being out there on his own maybe eight days. So obviously he's in a rough condition right now, but we are looking forward to getting him groomed. He's not acting normal. He scared almost. He added he's a house dog never been on his own like that. And I'm sure that he's missing his human right. We know that dogs have bonds with humans. How many times have we seen a dog going lay by the grave of their human who has died or go to the hospital and get into the bed with their human or wait for their human. It's never coming home. So we know that dogs are very, very loyal. And we know that losing their owner, their human is something that does affect them. And this dog right now obviously is affected by the fact that his human is gone announcing that the dog had been found. He issued another appeal to his daughter saying come home, your father and your mother miss you. Your brothers miss you. They're down here from out of town. We all just want to make sure that you're safe and that's best case scenario, right? That she had some kind of mental break maybe or something like that. And she just went off the grid for a minute. That certainly gives her family some hope that she's going to come walking through that door or give them a call because at this point as a family, you have to think that you're grasping to whatever straws you possibly can so you don't give up hope because I would think that all these days and your loved one not coming home and the fact that dogs found alone, that has to be terrifying, that has to give you a surreal feeling and it has to be like you're walking around in a waking nightmare. He added, I was just speaking with the detective. They're getting sightings, possibly another 10 miles from here. It's covering a wide range and they're doing drone searches, seeing if they can get any eyes on her. Well, that would be great. I really hope that we get some kind of solution here that ends up with this young lady coming home. But unfortunately, with these stories, it seems like very rarely do they have a happy ending. And the thing that's most concerning for me, obviously, is the fact that that dog was found alone because I have a very hard time believing that Christina would ever let her dog just wander off on its own considering that her father and people are saying that she, you know, was very tight with her dog. She loved her dog. So that's the thing that really concerns me when we're talking about this possibly being like some sort of foul play. He added, I think she may be going through a little depressive state to a certain extent, and she just, I guess, as antisocial. She's not really with the friends and things like that, that she communicates with as far as we know. He said Christina was last seen wearing a sweatshirt, shorts, and crocs, and colorful socks and a backpack with a stuffed animal on it. If you have any information on Christina's disappearance or whereabouts called HPDs Missing Persons Unit at 832-394-1840 or Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS. Hi folks, well, that's going to do it for this one, and let's hope that there is some resolution and that Christina is returned to her family and her pup.
