Beyond The Horizon

The Jeffrey Epstein Grand Jury Transcripts Are Set For Release On July 1st (6/27/24)

The controversy surrounding the release of Jeffrey Epstein's grand jury transcripts from his first arrest in Florida revolves around the lenient plea deal he received in 2008, which allowed him to avoid more severe federal charges. Epstein pleaded guilty to state charges of procuring a minor for prostitution and served 18 months in a county jail with a significant portion of the sentence under house arrest. This deal has been widely criticized as inadequate given the severity of his crimes.

Recent developments indicate that these grand jury transcripts from the 2006 investigation will be made public under new legislation signed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. The law, effective July 1, 2024, provides an exception to the general secrecy of grand jury proceedings, allowing these specific records to be released. The decision comes after years of advocacy for transparency and aims to provide closure to Epstein's victims and shed light on the judicial decisions surrounding his case.

A judge has ruled that while the records cannot be released immediately, they can be made public after the law takes effect, pending a formal request. This move has been praised by victims and advocates as a step towards justice and accountability for the failures in the original handling of Epstein’s case.

What's up everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. Well folks, it looks like the wait for the grand jury records down in Florida is finally coming to an end. And that's because the new law to release the grand jury documents takes effect on July 1st. Now, before we get too excited, we have seen this come and go before, meaning the timelines. And there has been a judge to step in, or a goofball to step in, and make sure that we don't get a glimpse of what went down in that grand jury room. And this new law that's supposed to take effect on July 1st is supposed to kill all of that and give us the access that we have all wanted. Because everybody knows that something really funky went down during that first prosecution. There is no way on this planet that Jeffrey Epstein should have walked the way he walked. He should have never received such a light sentence, and not only was it a light sentence, he basically didn't have to serve any time at all. Oh, he was in that jail, maybe to sleep, but he was gone all day at his office that didn't even exist, committing parole violation after parole violation, and still sexually assaulting little girls. And they had the audacity to keep this grand jury testimony from us for all these years. Well, now that ship is sailed, and it looks like we're all going to get our hands on this come July 1st. So today we have an article from the Palm Beach Post and the headline. New law to release Jeffrey Epstein grand jury documents takes effect July 1st. What's next? The author of this article is Holly Balts, and mad props to the Palm Beach Post for sticking with this story. And it's been their relentless pursuit of these documents that sees us getting to the light at the end of the tunnel. So the folks over at the Palm Beach Post certainly deserve a tip of the cap, at least for this story in this project. The new state law meant to smooth the way for the release of the transcripts of the 2006 Jeffrey Epstein grand jury proceedings takes effect on Monday, July 1st. The Palm Beach Post, which sued in 2019 to make public what happened during the secret proceedings, has filed a new motion for Circuit Judge Luis Delgado to consider its argument under the new law. The grand jury indicted Epstein on only one count of solicitation of prostitution, what a John might face for soliciting an adult sex worker, but we all know it was a child. And we all know that they helped him, meaning the prosecutors down in South Florida, navigate this whole ass minefield while at the same time destroying their own witnesses. And you know, people talk about they want Epstein's list, they want this, they want that, but those very same people haven't even done the basic legwork to get to that point. They haven't read the OIG reports, they haven't went into the court documents, at least not with the veracity that they should be, and then they get out here and they act like they're an expert on the topic. Like they really know what's going on, like they have their finger on the pulse. And inevitably these people have, you know, millions of followers on Twitter, hundreds of thousands of followers on Twitter, and people take what they say seriously, right? So you have all these people out here popping off at the lip about shit, they really have no idea about when the reality is, if you really cared about what was going on and you wanted to get to the bottom of this whole entire clusterfuck, you'd be wanting to see what's going on in these grand jury documents, because it's going to tell a tale, folks. And to know the whole story, you have to go back to the very beginning, right? You can't piecemeal it. And this is the very beginning. This testimony in that grand jury room was the start of the cover up. And then from there, we know it all ballooned. But I want to get my hands on the actual transcripts, and I want to see for myself just how horrible of a job the state of Florida did when it comes to prosecuting Epstein. Nothing is likely to happen before Monday, July 8th, when a hearing is scheduled for Delgado to listen to the post's arguments, the judge would then issue an order, either at the end of the hearing or later. The post plans to make the transcripts available to the public as soon as possible after they are released, and you know, 1000%, your boy is going to dive right into him. We're going to read it word for word. We're going to dive into it and really dig deep. Everything that's said in that transcript that's available to us, we're going to get it into the catalog. Because you folks who have been following this story for all these years, you deserve to know the truth, and you deserve to have it unadulterated. You don't need my opinion with those court documents. You're all capable of coming to your own conclusions. And for me, it's never been about convincing anybody of anything. It's always been about opening a few doors that might have remained closed to some people because they haven't had access to the information. And that's really what it comes down to. Like any other topic, like any other subject, if you are armed with the proper information, then you're going to have full context, or at least as much context as possible, and you're going to be on the right track to knowing what's going on. Whereas other people who are out here following all kinds of wolf dreams and bullshit, they're just lost in the sauce. They're still out here thinking people are locked up at Guantanamo, and that Epstein's still alive on some island somewhere. The names of Epstein's victims likely to be redacted. Another part of Delgado's job is to redact names of victims and others who might need to be protected. It's part of the law that hasn't changed. So it might take even more time after the order for him to do that. The post has always supported redactions. Me too. We don't need to know all of the victims. We don't need to know all these little girls who are abused who are trying to put the pieces of their life back together still to this day. Now, I know some people want their names, but I'm not some people. If you think that all these little girls got together when they were 14, 15, 16 years old and lied about what Epstein was doing to them, then there's really no help for you, honestly. Now, you can question some of the other statements that have been made, some of the other allegations that have been made, but anyone who thinks that Epstein wasn't abusing these little high school girls and younger down here in Palm Beach really is missing the boat because this is the origin for all of his disgusting bullshit. The grand jury indicted Epstein after then-state attorney Barry Krissher torpedoed the case that his office presented in secret. Sources told the post in its 2019 investigation, Jeffrey Epstein, the first failure. Only one victim testified and the prosecutor who presented the case and assistant state attorney who was the head of the child sex crimes unit, Lana Belahovelic, undermined her own witness by trotting out the girl's MySpace pages. The social media excerpts had been supplied to the prosecutors by Epstein's lawyers, and you know all of this because we just got done reading the OIG report. And I know it gets a little bit mundane going through the court documents, but guess what? This is long-form learning here. You're not just going to get a 10-second clip. This is a story that's ongoing, it's sprawling, and if you truly want to understand what's going on, you have to put the time in to do that. And the best way to do that is to have the information available to you, and that's why, for all of you who have been following along religiously, you know all of this already. You know all of this information, all we need now are the receipts, and that's what those grand jury documents are going to be. They're going to be the receipts. Taking the matter to the grand jury was an unusual move for a state attorney, Krisscher was always free to file charges against Epstein himself. It was the first-ever sex crimes case that went before a grand jury in Palm Beach County history. Grand jury proceedings are secret for a couple of reasons. One is shielding a target's identity if they don't end up being charged. The secrecy also allows witnesses to speak more freely. And I'll tell you, I've said it a million times, not a fan of the grand jury, too much privacy, not enough transparency, and that leaves a lot of room for shit like this to go down. Prosecutors, however, have been accused of using the secrecy to provide political cover in controversial cases, such as police shootings. Yeah, and that's what I was just talking about. Way too much secrecy here. If you have the goods on somebody, let's get it into open court, let's get a preliminary hearing in, and let's see what's what. Current law allows the vale of grand jury secrecy to be lifted. Only when a judge decides it's needed to check whether a witness's testimony in court matches what they said before the grand jury, and to determine whether the witness has committed perjury. The other reason is when it furthers justice. That's the part of the law that the post has used in its arguments to help the public and the victims understand whether there was a miscarriage of justice. And really, that's what it comes down to. There was a miscarriage of justice down here. These little girls were being assaulted by the dozens and the state prosecutors instead of going after the animal who was doing it, decided to play ball and get in bed with him because he had some politically charged friends. I mean, for real, do your job as a prosecutor and go after whoever deserves going after. And if you can't do that, do the world a favor and go work at Walmart because anybody who doesn't want to go after a child predator, when they're in a position to do so, is part of the problem. The change in the law, in addition to it, is meant to apply only to the Epstein case. According to the bill's sponsors, Florida Senator Tina Polsky and Representative Peggy Gossett, Sideman, a Democrat and a Republican, respectively, both of Boca Raton. The amendment requires that the subject of the proceeding is dead, that the case involves sex crimes against minors, and that the state attorney is notified before the release, and that the material already has been released under a judge's order. The Epstein transcripts, it turns out, were released in October 2020 when Galain Maxwell's prosecutors sought them in building their sex trafficking case of minors against Galain Maxwell. It's unknown whether the material was used in the Maxwell case because they haven't been released. Maxwell was convicted in 2021 and sentenced to 20 years, she's serving her time in a Tallahassee prison. So things are moving here, thankfully, and hopefully when we get our hands on these grand jury documents, it gives us a little more clarity, because we've been swimming through somebody's water for a very long time. And there's been a lot of speculation, there's been a lot of theory out there, but we really have had no red meat. And for me, receipts are the most important thing, especially talking about Jeffrey Epstein. So getting these documents in our fingers and getting a look at them for ourselves, it's huge, and hopefully it all happens in a forthright manner. I don't want to hear any more delays, I don't want any more BS, I want these to be released, and hopefully in the next few weeks, we'll be adding them to the catalog.
