So, what is a grand jury?

A grand jury is a legal body that is empowered to conduct official proceedings to investigate potential criminal conduct and determine whether criminal charges should be brought. Its duties and functions are distinct from those of a trial jury. Here is a summary of what a grand jury is and its duties:What is a Grand Jury?
  • Composition: A grand jury typically consists of 16 to 23 citizens, depending on the jurisdiction.
  • Purpose: Its primary function is to evaluate whether there is sufficient evidence to indict (formally accuse) a suspect and proceed to trial.
  • Proceedings: The proceedings are conducted in secrecy to protect the reputation of potential defendants and to encourage witness cooperation.
  • Duration: Grand juries can be convened for a specific period, ranging from a month to a year or more, depending on the case load and jurisdiction.
Duties of a Grand Jury
  1. Investigating Potential Crimes:
    • Reviewing Evidence: Grand juries review evidence presented by prosecutors, including witness testimony, documents, and other materials.
    • Subpoena Power: They have the authority to issue subpoenas to compel witnesses to testify or produce documents.
  2. Determining Probable Cause:
    • Indictment Decisions: The grand jury decides if there is probable cause to believe that a crime has been committed and that the accused person is responsible.
    • Issuing Indictments: If the grand jury finds sufficient evidence, it issues an indictment, formally charging the person with a crime.
    • No True Bill: If the evidence is insufficient, the grand jury issues a "no true bill," meaning no charges will be...

What's up everyone and welcome back to the program when the news about puffy's pads getting rated was breaking. I told you then that there's a lot more going on than we're aware of you don't see the extreme measures that we saw at Diddy's house with them rating it showing up and force the way they did if they don't have something cooking behind the scenes. Well now we're hearing that Diddy is facing criminal charges as a grand jury has been in paneled in NYC to hear from accusers and his exes and if we're hearing about this grand jury being in paneled now what that really means is this has been going on in secret for some time. And when they have a grand jury in paneled and they have it under seal you're not going to even know that you're indicted you could be indicted under seal and then they won't unseal that indictment until they're ready to deal with your ass. And my guess is that's where we're headed with Diddy now is it going to end up with the government being able to you know make the case I don't know but one things for damn sure there were some motivations behind that video being leaked and whether it was a government source who leaked it. Or somebody else the effect was the same because the whole idea of having that video be released to the public is to initiate some kind of investigation by the authorities they can't ignore that once people have actually seen it with their own eyes it's very difficult for the federal government to ignore that and now so it looks like they're not you know sitting on their hands we're getting some leaked information that there is a grand jury in paneled and looking at the situation involving Diddy. So let's get to this article from the Daily Mail and let's see where we stand headline Diddy is facing criminal charges as grand jury is in paneled in NYC to hear from accusers and exes. This article was authored by Germania Rodriguez Pileo. Sean Diddy comes is facing criminal charges as a grand jury has been selected to hear evidence against them in a federal probe and it's not a state probe keep that in mind because they're probably going to be looking to hit his ass with the man act and other federal charges because people were transported over state lines allegedly and once you start getting into that realm you're opening yourself up to a lot of trouble a lot of issues as far as the federal government goes. And we're talking about issues that carry long jail sentences but remember just because this grand jury has been in paneled it doesn't mean that we're going to see an indictment chances are we will because that's how grand juries usually role but it's not for certain. The Justice Department is gearing up to potentially bring a criminal indictment against Diddy as the moguls accusers have been notified they could be brought to testify before a grand jury in New York City CNN reported on Wednesday. The rapper and producer has been named in eight lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault and human trafficking. The potential witnesses have not yet been prepped to testify for the prosecution as Homeland Security investigators are still reportedly gathering evidence in the case. A source told CNN that detectives want their indictment against Diddy to be bulletproof 1000% they're making sure that they are exploring every area making sure they're leaving nothing unturned and making sure that they're following their procedure to a tee because when you're dealing with high profile lawyers like Diddy's lawyers you're going to deal with a lot of blowback and it's another reason that we're reading through the Epstein oig report into the NPA. It's all crucial to understand how this stuff works. I know a lot of people just want that salacious bullshit right away but if you don't put in the groundwork and you don't build that foundation. You're not going to really understand the nuance of what's going on so it's crucial to understand how the federal government looks at situations like this and how they usually try to remedy it and when you're talking about a guy like Diddy you're going to see the federal government take their time. They want to make sure that everything is on the up and up because as we speak the case agents and the prosecutor's office is working at a fever pace behind the scenes to build this case. That means talking to witnesses compiling evidence but they have to make sure that everything is done by the book or they're going to be dealing with the same situation that Villefana and company were dealing with when they were dealing with Epstein. Whenever you have somebody that has this kind of money you got to make sure that you're on your game. Now I know that there are people out there that want to talk about Diddy in the same context as Epstein that's crazy. This man was not protected by the CIA. He's not an asset. Sure, he had knob with the rich and famous, but this man wasn't working to compile compromise the way that Jeffrey Epstein was and he wasn't involved with anywhere near the same people. So I know that people like Glenn Beck like to use the Epstein situation as kind of a cudgel and kind of a way to draw clicks, but in my opinion, there is no comparison here besides the fact that both of them allegedly were abusing women. But besides that, that's where the comparisons end in my opinion. Jeffrey Epstein was being protected by some very, very powerful people. Meanwhile, Diddy, well, he's about to get that R. Kelly treatment. Mark my words, Diddy's about to get hit with Rico. And that's the litmus test that you can always use to see if somebody is working with anyone higher up. Because if they get hit with Rico, all their buddies are going to be involved too. So if you have a guy like Epstein, get hit with Rico, for example, then all those banks are getting pulled in, all of those politicians are getting pulled in, so they just can't have it, right? But a guy like R. Kelly, oh, yeah, we're going to hit that do a Rico and we'll make an example of them. Meanwhile, Jeffrey Epstein, well, he'll just spend a few days in the stockade. The indictment would not be related to Diddy's film The Salt of his ex-girlfriend Cassie in Los Angeles Hotel Hallway in 2016. Cassie, whose legal name is Cassandra Vintera, sued Combs in November over what she said was years of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, including beatings and rape. The suit said that he plied her with drugs, borster to have sex with other men, and raped her in her home as she was trying to end the relationship in 2018. Diddy threw his attorney, denies the accusations. Yeah, deny all you want, we saw the video, bro. And if you're doing that in public, what are you doing behind closed doors in the home? The suit was settled the next day, but spurred intense scrutiny of Combs, with several more lawsuits filed in the following months, along with a federal criminal sex trafficking investigation that led authorities to raid Combs' mansions in Los Angeles and Miami. Combs' sons Justin and Christian King Combs were handcuffed during the raid at their father's residence in Los Angeles. In February, a music producer filed a lawsuit alleging that Combs coerced him to solicit prostitutes and pressured him to have sex with them. The rapper is among the most influential hip-hop producers and executives of the past three decades, formerly known as Puff Daddy. He built one of hip-hop's biggest vampires, blazing a trail with several entities attached to his famous name. He's the founder of Bad Boy Records, and a three-time Grammy winner who has worked with the slew of top-tier artists, including notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, Usher, Little Kim, Faith Evans, and 112. Well folks, if these reports are real, then shit just got serious for Diddy. Way more serious than it's ever been. And if there is a grand jury that's impaneled, my guess is they're gonna have an indictment prepared at some point that they're gonna serve on Diddy. You know, the saying is, you could get a ham sandwich indicted in front of a grand jury, because remember, none of Diddy's people are there. You just have witnesses in the prosecution, and then you have the jurors, and they decide if there's enough information and enough evidence to charge somebody. And then if they feel that it's plausible, and they feel that the evidence is there, they'll charge them without any need for a preliminary hearing. And a lot of times you'll see the prosecutors use the grand jury when they want to keep things secret, when they don't want to reveal all of the evidence that they've compiled. So you'll see these grand juries being paneled a lot of times for big cases such as this, and especially when you're dealing with celebrities, because these prosecutors, they don't want to be accused of going after somebody because they're rich, or going after somebody because of insert reason here. So what they'll do is they'll put it in the hands of the grand jury. Then that way they can say, look, these grand jurors are the ones who decided that this was worthy to move forward. And so that'll take them out of the path of fire a little bit, so they don't have to deal with criticism as far as, oh, you're being biased or you're going after so-and-so because they're rich or they're famous, or whatever the reason might be. So they alleviate all of that, but at the same time, there's a lot of concerns, at least in my opinion, with grand juries overall, and that's because you're only hearing one side of the story. And when we're talking about something like somebody going to prison, I think it's a good idea for the whole story to be heard. And obviously, I think that's a bit difficult inside of a grand jury room. If you don't have representation there, if your side of the story isn't being pitched, if your narrative isn't being crafted. So make sure you always keep that in mind when you hear about a grand jury. Now, does that mean that the indictment is BS? Absolutely not. What it means, in my opinion, is the federal government has a ton of information here. They don't want to give that information out yet. And instead, what they want to do is to continue to build this case behind the scenes under seal so that when they spring it on, Diddy, his legal team isn't prepared with a counter defense or a move, right? They want to make sure that they get this conviction and they make it stick because any time that you dip your toes into these waters and you're dealing with somebody rich and famous, the pressure is on. People are paying attention. People are going to want to know what's up. And there's going to be people in the camp that are on Diddy's side, right? So as a prosecutor, you don't want to give them any kind of leeway. You don't want to give them anything to sink their teeth into. So you'll see them use the grand jury so that they can hide all of that information until later on when we get to discovery. And that's exactly what we're seeing here. The question is, just how perilous is this for Diddy? Unfortunately, we don't know just yet, but considering the signs and considering this information becoming public, my guess is, shit just got real for Diddy. All right, everybody, that's going to do it for this one. All of the information that goes with this episode can be found in the description box.
