ICYMI: Why The Trouble For Diddy Has Only Just Begun

Sean Combs, also known by his stage names Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Diddy, and Brother Love, is a prominent figure in the music industry. Born on November 4, 1969, in Harlem, New York City, he has established himself as a rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, record producer, and entrepreneur.

Combs initially gained recognition as a talent director at Uptown Records before founding his own record label, Bad Boy Records, in 1993. Under Bad Boy Records, he produced and released albums for artists like The Notorious B.I.G., Faith Evans, and Mary J. Blige, among others, contributing significantly to the East Coast hip hop scene of the 1990s.

In addition to his music career, Combs has ventured into various business endeavors, including fashion, fragrance, and media. He founded the clothing line Sean John, which became highly successful, and has collaborated with several other brands over the years. Combs also owns the television network Revolt TV and has investments in other sectors.

Throughout his career, Combs has faced various allegations and controversies, some of which include:

  1. Legal issues related to nightclub incidents: Combs has been involved in altercations at nightclubs over the years, including a highly publicized incident in 1999 at Club New York where shots were fired. Combs was subsequently charged with weapons violations and bribery, although he was acquitted of all charges in 2001.
  2. Allegations of assault: Combs has faced accusations of assault from multiple individuals. One notable incident occurred in 2007 when a man claimed that Combs and his bodyguards attacked him outside a nightclub in Atlanta. Combs denied the allegations, and the case was settled out of court.
  3. Legal disputes with former associates: Combs has been embroiled in legal battles with former associates and business partners over the years, including disputes over contracts, royalties, and intellectual property rights. These disputes have sometimes resulted in lawsuits and settlements.
  4. Financial controversies: Despite his success as an entrepreneur, Combs has faced criticism and legal challenges related to his financial dealings. In 2017, he was sued by his former chef for unpaid wages and emotional distress, leading to a settlement. Additionally, there have been reports of financial difficulties and unpaid debts associated with some of Combs' business ventures.
  5. Allegations of Human trafficking/sexual abuse have plagued him for years and all of those allegations along with the previous lawsuits have culminated in this investigation and the raid.

As we begin to learn more about the raid on P. Diddy's homes over Human trafficking allegations, it's become apparent that the Feds are serious and that they have at least enough evidence to initiate a gigantic operation such as the raids we saw yesterday.    That usually spells trouble for the person being investigated and in this episode we hear from several experts talking the extreme jeopardy that Puff Daddy now finds himself in.

And whenever you have the feds raid your pad, the way that the feds raided his pad, you know that there's a lot more coming. Now previously Puff Daddy has been able to use his power and his finances to get himself out of jams. But it looks like that party is over. And it looks like a lot of people are coming out of the woodwork now to turn on them. And once you have people in your inner circle willing to snitch on you, to rat on you, and to tell the world what sort of disgusting individual you are, chances are things are going to go very badly for you from that point on. And I think that's where we are with Puff Daddy. And these allegations made against them. This is some serious stuff folks. We're not talking about, you know, some little rinky dink type of charges. We're talking about legit human trafficking. We're talking about the man act. We're talking about drug offenses. And probably when all said and done, money laundering and tax evasion on top of it. Because that's how all of this works. And when you're paying out these girls, given the money for abusing them basically, that all comes back to bite you directly in the ass, just like it did, go and max well. So Puff Daddy and his trials and tribulations have just arrived in the starter block. And there is a very, very long race still ahead of us. And as you can imagine, we have a lot to get to when it comes to this topic. And we're going to be talking about this topic quite a bit because this is about to explode. I have one of those feelings that this is going to turn into something literally jaw dropping. And I would not be shocked to hear other names of famous people brought up. But before we get out over our skis here, why don't we dive into this Fox News article and let's see what they have for us. Headline, Sean Diddy Combs, human trafficking investigation raid, is just the beginning of legal hurdles, according to an expert. US official confirmed the Fox News that raids on Diddy's LA and Miami homes were connected to a federal human trafficking investigation. This article was authored by Tracy Wright. Sean Diddy Combs was once one of the most in demand entertainers and producers in the industry with a roster of major power players leading his bad boy records label. Like I said yesterday, I've never been a fan of Puff Daddy or his work or his music. And he's always come off like quite the douchebag. You know, one of those dudes that thinks he's better than everybody else 'cause he has a few bucks. And then you add on all of the other weird shit that we've heard about this dude throughout the years. And I've never been a fan. It was only a matter of time before all this blue-eyed open. Anyone who follows hip hop understands that there have been some serious allegations against Puff Daddy for a very, very long time. And those kinds of allegations aren't the kind that just come out of nowhere, right? When you have men talking about you molesting them, there's a lot going on there. Dudes don't just come out and talk about that usually, right? Dudes are embarrassed. There's a stigma on that. So when one of these people comes out and says that, and then it's an avalanche of other allegations, you have to pay attention. And it's egregious enough, obviously, that the feds are involved. Through profitable music and business ventures, Diddy earned billionaire status in 2022, according to Forbes. His life in the spotlight hasn't always been so bright, though. On Monday, two Occom's residences in Los Angeles and Miami were rated in connection to a federal human trafficking investigation. So whenever you're caught up in something like this, things are not going good for you. And Puff Daddy, with all of his money, all of his power, he's been able to avoid all of this for a very, very long time. But eventually, people who are doing this, they end up getting caught, more times than not, or they end up getting out at least. If the feds or the authorities end up doing something about it, well, that's anyone's guess. But more times than not, these people are outed. Just take a look at Dan Schneider's disgusting bitch ass over at Nickelodeon. We haven't even touched on that yet, but another sicko, a man that was outed years ago, a man that was being talked about before I even dove into this topic of Epstein, shout out to Jamie Deluxe, and his work on that case, and Dan Schneider from back in the day, he was one of the first people I ever saw talking about that. And we're talking about four or five years ago, and now the legacy media is all over that story. But there's no doubt that Dan Schneider's a gross ass son of a bitch, and there's no doubt in my mind that Puff Daddy is too. The music mogul declared his innocence in a statement provided the Fox News Digital, but legal experts warned that the damage to his reputation may be irreparable, even if the investigation doesn't lead to his arrest or criminal charges. Well, his reputation was already tarnished by this, so people who were cool with them previously, they'll be cool with them still. As long as he doesn't get indicted, then people will run for the hills. But besides that, people have no shame, and people certainly don't have a moral compass when it comes to things like this, how many times have we seen it? Jeffrey Epstein gets convicted, gets sent to prison, comes out, and all these rich people just can't wait to hang out with them. So you know there'd be a menagerie of people doing the same with Puffy. Monday's investigation also is in Combs' first run-in with the law. In April 1999, Combs was arrested and originally charged with felony second-degree assault and criminal mischief after attacking music executive, Steve Stout, following a dispute over music video imagery involving his client, Nas. Combs later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of harassment and reportedly paid Stout 500 G's in an out-of-court settlement. Of course. Nothing that a few bucks can't buy your way out of, right? And time and time again, we see people like Puff Daddy able to do exactly that. Do you really think that you or I would have been able to buy our way out of it? Or do you think that you and I would have been in big trouble? I'm here to tell you, we would have been in big trouble. Nine months later, Combs, his then girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez and rapper Shine were at a nightclub in New York when gunfire broke out, injuring three people, including a woman who was shot in the face. Lopez and Combs fled in his Lincoln and were later pulled over by NYPD for running a red light. And I remember when all of this was breaking and it looked like Puff Daddy was going to be in trouble. Right up until the point that he wasn't. A gun was found in the vehicle and Jennifer and Shawn were arrested. Lopez was let go, but Combs and Shine were charged with multiple offenses. While Combs was found not guilty at trial, Shine was convicted on five of eight counts and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Lopez and Combs broke up in 2001 after dating for two years. Must be nice to be rich and have a fall guy, huh? Hey Shine, go ahead and take this charge. I'll make sure I give your family X amount of dollars. TV host Roger Mills, who had Combs in 2001 and accused him of assault, false imprisonment and destruction of property, claiming Combs attacked him during an interview when he asked the rapper if he had any involvement in the death of notorious B.I.G. Years later, a court sided in favor of Diddy. Of course they did. When you have this kind of money, the world is at your feet basically. And as far as Biggie goes, I don't know if Puffy had anything to do with his murder, but boy did Puffy exploit the shit out of that relationship. We all know who the actual talent was there and it certainly wasn't Puff Daddy. Gerard Reichnitzer claimed that Combs punched him and pushed his girlfriend. Outside of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in a lawsuit filed in 2007, Combs settled the lawsuit one year later and terms of the settlement were not disclosed. You see a pattern here yet? How many times when we're talking about people with great means and great power, do they buy their way out of trouble? Every single time. None of us would be able to do that. We'd all have to pay the Piper, right? But not Puff Daddy. Well, at least not until now. In 2015, Combs was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon stemming from an altercation with a coach at his son's college. Sean allegedly swung a kettlebell at an assistant UCLA football coach after they yelled at his eldest son, Justin, now 30. The various accounts of the event and charges that are being reported are wholly inaccurate. Natalie Moore, a rep for Combs Enterprises, said in a statement to the Associated Press at the time, we can now say that the actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son. Oh, I'm sure. I'm sure that Mr. Combs is just, you know, dad of the year over here. Unless of course he's with your children. Unless of course he's with your 14 year old son named Justin Bieber in an undisclosed location doing God knows what. But yeah, besides that, Puff Daddy pops to the year. Cindy Rueda did his former personal chef, filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Combs in 2017 and claimed she was regularly summoned by Mr. Combs to prepare and serve entrees and appetizers to him and his guests while Mr. Combs and/or his guests were engaged in or immediately following sexual activity. Well, look, I'm not here to tell anyone how to live their life. If you want to have consensual orgies with 35 people, I don't give a fuck, that's your business. But when you're trafficking people and forcing people to do things against their will, well, that's where the line's drawn. And whatever consenting adults decide to do in their bedroom or in their friend's bedroom, I don't care about it. It's when you start using your power and your influence to abuse people that your bitch ass ends up on this podcast. - Ryan Seacrest here, when you have a busy schedule, it's important to maximize your downtime. VGW Group, void where prohibited by law. 18 plus terms and conditions apply. - By 2023, Combs would be hit with multiple lawsuits in November, Cassie, legally known as Cassandra Vintura, accused Diddy of raping her in her own home and during over a decade of his violent behavior and disturbed demands and forcing her to have sex with male prostitutes while he watched and filmed. Combs denied Cassie's claims in a statement provided the Fox News digital at the time. Mr. Combs denies these offensive and outrageous allegations. For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Vintura's persistent demand of $30 million under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail, his lawyer said. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Vintura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs' reputation and seeking a payday. One day after she filed the claim, Sean and Cassie came to an amicable resolution and she dropped the lawsuit. I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control. I wanna thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support, Cassie wrote. Combs said in his own statement that the decision was agreed upon by both parties and he had no ill will towards the singer. Three more women came forward with claims just before New York's Adult Survivors Act expired, each claiming sexual abuse by Combs in separate incidents. Yeah, and I guess everybody's just lying, right? Everybody's lying. All these other people that have come forward, liars, Puff Daddy, just a great guy, never did any of this. Three more women came forward with claims just before New York's Adult Survivors Act expired, each claiming sexual abuse by Combs in separate incidents. A music producer who sued Diddy for sexual assault in February, added actor Cuba Goodan Jr. to his complaint Monday. Jones claimed he lived with the "I'll be missing you" singer for extended period of time and accused Combs of unsolicited groping and sexual touching. Sounds about right. I mean, everything that we've heard at all is trending in this direction. And when you have so many people who come out and say this, it's very hard to ignore it, right? Now that doesn't mean that Puff Daddy's guilty. We still have to go through the process, but it's not looking good for all Diddy the Diddler. A U.S. official confirmed the Fox News that the raids on Diddy's homes Monday were connected to a federal human trafficking investigation. It's unclear if the rapper is the target of the federal agent's investigation. My guess is yes, why would they be raiding his houses? And not just one, but multiple. So if he's not the target, then what the hell are they doing? Criminal defense attorney, Donna Rutano, said with HSI appearing at Diddy's doorstep, it's just the beginning. As to what could come next, for the three-time Grammy award-winning rapper who not only found his own success in the business, but also helped cultivate the careers of award-winning artists, including notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, R&B singer Usher, Faith Evans, Mace, and Little Kim. They're looking for digital evidence, documents, financial records. Those are the types of things that they would be taking out of the house, Rutano told Fox News Digital, logs of any types of records that would lend to the fact-finding information that they're looking for, it's a serious thing. Trafficking could mean a whole lot of different things when it comes to, we don't know the ages of the people, we don't know any of the allegations at this point. And I think that's important. It's important to point that out. We don't know what the actual allegations are just yet. Besides general allegations, we don't know. Were there underage girls, were there underage boys? Certainly gonna throw things into a different atmosphere if we find that out. But as of now, we don't have all of the details. Judy Saunders, a partner with ASK, LLP, noted that Combs, Liberty, Business, Personal Reputation and Legacy are all out-stake and may be subject to an immediate demise. She told Fox News Digital, the search of his residence by the Department of Homeland Security Investigations, Transnational Organized Crime Division is a clear indication of the severity of the government's investigation and possible charges that Combs may face in the near future. On Tuesday, Combs declared his innocence and denied the meritless accusations waged against him as he spoke out for the first time following the raids. Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs' residences. His attorney, Aaron Dyer, said Tuesday in a statement provided the Fox News Digital. There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated. Mr. Combs was never detained, but spoke to and cooperated with authorities. Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs, nor any of his family members have been arrested, nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way. This unprecedented ambush paired with an advance, coordinated media presence leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and there's nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits, he added. Well, if that was the case, the feds wouldn't be raided in his house. If it was just about civil accusations, there would be no federal involvement. There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name. Well, I would hope so, but good luck. I don't think he's gonna be successful. And that's because of all of the evidence we've heard and seen thus far. So obviously there's a lot more to get to, a lot more context to add, and we'll continue to do that. But that's gonna do it for this one.
