After over six weeks of testimony and over 60 witnesses, the jury only needed a few hours of deliberation to find Alex Murdaugh guilty of murdering his wife and his son Paul.

His legal team moved for a mistrial after the verdict was read but that move was also denied by Judge Clifton Newman.


Alex Murdaugh will be sentenced for murder by the Jury at an upcoming hearing later today.
