A pilot who was hitching a ride in a jump seat in the cockpit of a Horizon Air flight attempted to shut the engines down in the middle of the flight and had to be restrained by the cabin crew after his attempt.

After the crew got things under control, he was handcuffed in the back of the plane and then taken into custody when the plane hit the ground.

He's now being charged with 83 counts of attempted murder.
