A man has been killed in an alleged hijacking incident in Montclair, South of Durbin. Police and emergency responders are currently at the scene on the corner of Bluff and Chamberlain Roads. ALS paramedics spokesperson Gareth Jamison says they arrived on scene to find that police had already cordoned off the area. They were shown to a man believed to be in his cities who had sustained gunshot wounds to his chest. There was nothing paramedics would do from him and he was declared deceased at the scene. SAPs were in attendance and will be investigating the shooting further. Mortrus, who are rushing to fill up their fuel tanks, will have to wait just a bit longer. The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy says the fuel price decreases will only come into effect at midnight today. The price of 95 unleaded petrol will be lowered by 99 cents a litre, 93 unleaded petrol will fall by 1 rand 5 cents. The price of diesel will drop by between 24 and 30 cents and the price of illuminating paraffin will decrease by 18 cents per litre. A U.S. President Joe Biden has congratulated President Cyril Ramaphosa on his re-election and the successful formation of the Government of National Unity.
