On FM, on the station app, and on Open View Channel 606, this is East Coast Radio News Watch. MK Party leader Jacob Zuma has announced several changes to the party's national executive. The party, now the country's official opposition following the DA's move to the national unity government, has seen several leadership adjustments in less than a year of existence. News Watch's Anastasi Mohobu reports. Zuma has appointed Sifiso Masako as the new secretary general following the resignation of Arthur Zwani. In a letter to Zuma yesterday, Zwani cited being overwhelmed by his workload, which compete with his business interests. Zwani assumed the role in June, succeeding city and Cubani after the party reshuffled its national executive. Zwani has transitioned to parliament as the chief weep. Zwani reaffirmed his commitment to the party and expressed readiness to assist with other organizational matters. Additionally, Zuma has removed Denis Halsulu from the role of treasure general, appointing Mainsi Makubani in his state. That's News Watch's Anastasi Mohobu. A water management expert has described Sam Zungpunu's redeployment within the new multi-party cabinet as a massive loss for the sector. Nkunu, who was the country's water and sanitation minister, will be the new minister of police. Associate Professor Junisa Anya Duplasees says the sector is plagued by infrastructure, backlogs and project delays. Duplasees says Nkunu put in a lot of work with his team to fix things. He has been making great strides, especially with his team over the past couple of years, bringing back the green job and the no-job reports, making sure that the Guiani water project in Berlin for province is making progress. Unemployed social workers have vowed to return to the Qasadin Premier's office in Peter Maritzburg tomorrow. Last week, the group resubmitted a memorandum to Tami and Tule demanding employment. They gave him Tule's seven days rather to respond. In May, the group camped outside the office on Langalee-Balele Street over the same demands. The social development department at the time said that they were working to find a solution. Nolotando Nklovu, who's working or who's speaking rather on behalf of the group, says they will return tomorrow to stage another sit-in until their demands are met. All we want is employment so that we're going to assist the community at large because the cases are not attended by escalating each day in these official cases. And abroad, Australian police arrested a 14-year-old boy today, after a non-fatal stabbing center university campus interlockdown. They're investigating whether the teen was motivated by extremist ideologies. Police say the teen was wearing a camouflage military uniform when he allegedly stabbed a 22-year-old university of Sydney's student with a kitchen knife.
