KZN's number one for local news, this is East Coast Radio News Watch. UKZN political science professor Zakele and Jov who says the interests of the parties in the government of national unity were put before the people in deciding the cabinet makeup. He believes the president missed an opportunity to dump more ministries alongside public enterprises. He's also questioned the reconfiguration of some of the departments. I don't think it takes us to have two departments of education, each with a deputy minister. The departments that I think president could have gotten rid of by to continue with them. It's understood a Tongard woman whose body was found floating in a river had left home just hours before. The 42-year-old's body was spotted by residents in a shallow stream in Magwavini this morning. Police spokesperson Tindy Swainlava says she had no visible injuries. She says an inquest docket has been opened. Reports indicate that the victim left her home yesterday to go to the shops and did not return home. Her body was found not far from her place of residence. Circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated. Finland's Parliament has approved a defence pact with the US. The deal gives Washington access to 15 military bases in the Nordic country and enables the presence and training of US forces. Finland joined NATO in April last year.
