Thank you, I, and there was no way I could turn this down. - Ray, this is the kind of stuff that they tried to do just by doing the interactions and stuff between the fights, but you're actually creating a storyline and taking this to the ring so close. - I think that's what makes this product so special and unique, you know, the fact that it's very personal to the fans that are there, because it's a limited amount of fans, but the way they film the production, the editing, the final product, the way it turns out when you watch it on TV, it just makes you wanna tune in all over again, and you can't wait. You want it to be the next day, but you gotta wait one week. - You know, you give us that movie film kind of environment, but we have the power of rewinding it to see the different moves when you go flying through the air and the flips and all that stuff. - That's incredible, huh? - I remember back then, it was either if you had a tape on your VCR, you can rewind and pause, but there was no slow motion back then. Now you can actually manage all of that. You can see how moves are executed. And yeah, I mean, what a great way to put it, man. It's incredible, especially with the style that the wrestlers from Lucha Underground are performing now to the day. It is phenomenal, just a jaw opening. When you watch it, I'm a second Greek black belt in Taekwondo, so, and we were always taught, it's about the martial art, the art. You have brought the art into professional wrestling because it is showmanship, isn't it? - Yes, it is, yes, it is, and it's just... We are so passionate about what we do, that we just, we leave everything in that ring every night, day in, day out. - Getting the opportunity to do this second season, you've given we the fans that upfront ticket. We get to sit there and watch it as close as you guys filmed it. - That is correct, man. I think the best way to proceed tonight is, is, like you said, to the back, enjoy tonight, 8 p.m. Make sure the TV is on, hell rate network is on, and lucha underground is on, and experience Rey Mysterio's debut when I enter Azic Warfare. Second man coming into the ring, first man is Phoenix, second man is myself, and just sit down and feel what I felt that night, when I stepped into that arena, when they announced me from San Diego, California, Rey Mysterio, the abation that the fans gave me that night was just phenomenal, incredible, it was breathtaking. - Isn't it amazing how true the fan is to wrestling? I mean, they will talk about you forever, sir. - Oh, my God, and I realized throughout the years that they get better and better every time. And they demand to see what they pay for. So you better go out there and perform at your highest level, and I think that is always kept me up on my toes to go into that ring and perform at the highest level every single time, 'cause when you don't do it, that let you know. (laughing) - Well, with L-Ray doing shows like this, the list of wrestlers that wanna come on the show now, and they've gotta be knocking on your door going, "Hey, you're the next big guy, "you gotta let me become a part of this." (laughing) - Oh, wow, this roster is full as I speak, man. Right now, it is incredible. And if you haven't seen a part of Lucha Underground, when you do, wow, I mean, from the bigger guys on the roster, like the Brian Cage is, like the Milm Juarez, like the Matanzas, the high-flying style, like the Phoenix, Prince Puma's, Grazos, Aerostars, Jack Evans, Angelico. You know, I mean, this roster is complete. You talk about all the guys that were in the independent scene at one point, and just weren't able, or didn't sign up with major companies. They've all ended up here, or most of them at least, and now we are putting a show for the fans to enjoy, to really kick back and watch, and really, really take in this Lucha Arena style, bless me. - You've gotta feel the same vibration that we do on this side of the television screen, because it brings back that feeling that we had in the old days, when you turned on the TV, you never knew what to expect, you just knew that you were gonna go for a ride, and this show takes us back there. - Yes, yes, you're right. You know, it does, from the action in the ring, to the backstage vignettes, you know, how close and personal you get to each character, what their character is, all of that. You know, it's a whole different connection, or a whole different production, I should say. But the connection is that one that you, like you mentioned, you know you were going in for a ride, but you just didn't know where. - And that storyline, that's valuable. It's like opening up a wrestling magazine and reading the stories. That's important to you guys, isn't it? - Very, very important. I think that's what, in a way, attracts our fan base, you know, besides our performance in the ring, you know, what happens backstage? Who's who, you wanna know, or you wanna make sure that the fans know, who's who, and which character is, is which, you know, is he a good guy, is he a bad guy? You know, what's going on here? And the fact, the fact that, that Lucha Underground is bringing so much of culture into this brand, that it's breathtaking. - This has gotta go on the road. You know we fans are gonna wanna watch it live. So, please, feel free. - What do you think is the one thing that you could put in that show that is gonna, is just gonna make it the big bang? Because, I mean, it's got so much now, but there's gotta be something inside your imagination rate that's going, I wanna try this. - Well, I think on my behalf is probably the rest of one of the, one of the guys in that roster that will eventually be a dream match for some of those viewers. And that's probably being in the ring with Prince Puma. That would be a dream match for a lot of the fans. So, I think if that happens, ooh, right there. - I love your energy.
