Thank you so much for spending a little part of your Monday with me. I'm pumped. I can't wait. I think this is going to be a massive, massive week for K-State sports. We'll talk a little bit more, but there's a pretty big commitment that I believe is going to come today at 4 p.m. We'll get there. We'll get there when we get there. For this entire week, we got the show today. Again, tomorrow, I think we'll be talking about Lincoln Cures commitment to K-State knock on wood. I would bet the house. I bet the farm I bet just about everything. We'll be hearing officially Lincoln Cures committing to K-State later today. So that's going to be coming to you on Tuesday. Nothing on Wednesday, no show on Wednesday. No, that's a lie. Wednesday, we will have Phillip Slavin from the 10-12 network talking Oklahoma State. That's a long one. Nothing on Thursday. Hopefully tomorrow, a special edition podcast talking about Lincoln Cures. And then we got our Monday episode today. Today, what we got is what we'll be talking about. Another blue chip Kansas kid committing to K-State Brock Heath. So we're going to talk about that. I'm going to be touching on the offensive line recruitment as a whole because I think, again, we talked about this last week, K-State's recruiting. It's not going to be finishing in the top 25 by any means. But if you want to isolate things down to just offensive line, I think you could have a conversation about, okay, over the last handful of years is K-State recruiting the offensive line at a top 25 level just based on rankings. We know what Connor Riley does when he gets his hands on him. We'll preview the linking cure commitment, or at least what we hope the commitment is after that. Then we will touch on the big 12 opponents for basketball or known. We got 20 games we know home and away. Don't know the dates, which will play a pretty big role in it, but knowing what the slate is going to look like, it is exciting. And then I want to touch on the hype that is surrounding David Castillo, and it's no longer whispers. It's no longer leak stuff. It's no longer sources. This source is that drum tank straight up is fueling the fire on that one. So that's what the roadmap looks like for the week. That's what the roadmap looks like for this episode. I'm so pumped to be back with you guys on Monday. Before we get into things, how about Manhattan Brewing Company? Spoiler alert, knock on wood. I believe later on this month, you guys are going to hear my conversation. A little bit of a sponsor spotlight. We'll have an entire episode talking Manhattan Brewing Company, and then maybe painting a little picture, painting a little visual, giving you a little bit of inspiration for some tailgate beers later on. This football season again, football season starts next month. Next month we got football. But in the meantime, as you're waiting as you're daydreaming for that first college football Saturday, you're always welcome to Manhattan Brewing Company. All sorts of great events. All sorts of great beers. It is the spot. Every time you come to Manhattan, get a pint, get a couple four packs, get a couple of crawlers to go. And of course, anytime you're in the state of Kansas, talk to your local liquor store and say, hey, please, stock Manhattan Brewing Company four packs because I need them. They're all across the state already, but just talk to them. They don't have it. Talk to them. They don't want to sell you a beer. Manhattan Brewing Company, it simply is the best. All right, let's talk about Brock Heath. This is a recruitment that again, I think all of the college football recruitments are being a little bit overshadowed by the team. They're being overshadowed by the big one that's going to happen later today. But Brock Heath, and this is one that wasn't even on my radar. If you guys remember, I highlighted four recruitments. The two, I didn't think we're going to go case states way, didn't go case states way. Again, you guys have heard me how confident I am in linking care that's going to happen today. Later on this week or early next week, I believe, Montario Elston down in Arkansas, I believe he's going to be making his pick and I still feel confident it's going to be the cats. But one I didn't even talk about last week because I didn't know decision day was around the corner. And that is that of Brock Heath. It's a great recruiting win. It's at another head to head recruiting win over Iowa for a Kansas kid. That's two of them this year. Northwestern was involved, Nebraska was involved just about every single big 12 team, which also happy, happy 16 team big 12 day, Oklahoma and Texas officially gone. The four pack 12 schools officially joined, but he had just about every single big 12 team offering about half the big 10 was offering. Missouri and Arkansas down in the SEC offering. And this is another big time recruiting win. Proving like I said last week, no matter the doomsday folks want to talk about myself included. I'm pessimistic about the future of college athletics, but I'm not pessimistic on what case states role will be as long as college football as we know it is an extinct. Going head to head with SEC schools going head to head with big 10 schools. Again, every time you lose a kid, people on message boards, people on Twitter, people, you know, in your group chats are just going to throw their hands up and say, we can't do it. We can't go head to head with the big 10. We can't go head to head with the SEC. This is another example of going head to head with those schools and winning the recruitment. Brock Heath, again, is a Kansas guy. So if you want to be in a state and say, Hey, you know, it's about time to get those. Yeah, it's about time we got those Kansas kids. Again, you can go back to the Snyder 2.0. And Bill Snyder, when he came back, he brought in those four transfers, highly sought after transfers. Again, Bryce Brown, former number one player in the nation, Arthur Brown, Chris Harper, Broderick Smith came back. You know, all of these high profile players transferring back. But Bill Snyder was never getting blue chip Kansas kids. Bill Snyder 2.0 was not getting blue chip anything. You know, it took Chris climbing to get his feet under him, but now he's off and running and you got Brock Heath. He's a four star prospect, number seven player in the state of Kansas. Again, how crazy is it that Kansas having seven, eight, nine guys who are blue chip prospects in 2024. Guess what 2020 or 2025. Excuse me, class of 2025. 2026 is going to be just as good 20. Kansas football Kansas high school football is absolutely exploding. So big time shout out to all the coaches, all the athletes in Kansas. But he's the number seven player in Kansas, the number 20 interior offensive lineman in the country and the number 286 player in the country at any position by on three. Yes, this is a top 20 interior offensive lineman in a top 300 player in the nation. And he's only the seventh best player in Kansas. And this is just like a ho hum. That's cool. Awesome. You know, I think it is absolutely insane. Absolutely insane that we are to the point where we're getting a top 300 recruit and it's just ho hum. Yeah. Okay. When's that five star committing when's that five star announcing. That's where we are. This is something that should be celebrated though. Brock Heath is the real deal. Again, blue chip guy ESPN's even higher on them. They have him as the number 10 interior offensive line guy. I imagine by the time two four seven and rivals look at him again, he's going to be unanimous four star and he may rise up the state rankings as well. And when you watch him and again, I'm not going to sit here and pretend that I'm the, you know, I'm the break down the film guy and anything like that. But when I do watch, when I do look at him, I think he could be one of the most college ready offensive lineman that we have brought in. And as we're going to talk about here in a second, we have brought in a lot of them. This guy understands leverage. His footwork is amazing. This is the type of guy that you want playing left guard for your team. I think he's going to be a future starting left guard for K state. And while I say, yeah, you know, he might be the most college ready offensive lineman we've brought in in a while, which is true. Again, offensive lineman, it takes him a while to get up and going. I don't think he's going to be starting as a true freshman, but I do think he's a guy maybe during his red shirt year, maybe in 2026. He could be a guy who is fighting for time on the interior line. He's going to be fighting for a spot in that starting five. And if he's not, he's probably going to be looking to be in that rotation of eight guys that Connor Riley loves to have. And I would imagine by 2027, he will be the starting left guard. I am that high on this guy. I think that he is going to be the next great interior offensive lineman for K state. And I love that he's a Kansas City kid. He's from, I think it's Blue Valley North. You don't want to be messing things up. You know, all those Blue Valley schools have a little bit of a rivalry. But he's coming to K state. It's a great recruiting win. And it's only continuing on how well we've been recruiting on the offensive line. When you sit back and you look and diagnose and digested and not diagnosed, you digest what the last handful of seasons have been on offensive line recruiting. And I think you have to really sit back and think, all right, is Connor Riley the best recruiter on this team? Just this year, you have Will Kemna, who is a top 35 tackle. And the number four player in Missouri, Razor's edge of being another blue chip guy, which is a four or five star. I think when it's all said and done, I think he's going to have an ascension up the rankings. It's going to be a top 300 top 200 type guy when the recruiting services and the evaluation services are done looking at the class of 2025. So you have him. Last season, you had Gus Hawkins, who was a top 10 tackle in the country, number 52 prospect in the country, number one player in Kansas. He's Hayden Massey, who is also a top 30 tackle four star. So that's three in the last four years, three in the last two years of players just in Kansas, who are blue chip type guys. They also added Kyle Rakers and Ryan Howard last year, some of the top players in Iowa and Pennsylvania as a whole. What Connor Riley has been bringing in is exactly what you want. Because, look, I think that it's sexy. It is awesome to have the high profile quarterbacks and high profile wide receivers. I'm not saying I don't want those. No, if, again, we could be talking about a totally different ceiling for the program. If you're bringing in that quality on skill positions as well. But when you look at what Connor Riley has been able to do developmentally, when you look at what Connor Riley has been able to do, not just developmentally, but you look at the culture that he is building amongst these guys. But what we're bringing in these guys and if you look at last year's offensive line, so many of those guys have been around forever. But the culture that he's built in the offensive line room, you're not seeing mass exoduses. You see one guy leave, maybe all off season. But you see guys who are working and grinding and trying to get up to that level that they can be part of the starting five or part of the eight man rotation. And guess what? Even if they don't, they're just buckling their chin strap and going after it again. Because with the offensive line that they've built, they're staying old. Now, are we ever going to be in a situation like we were last year where you're returning like what top five most starts in college football on your offensive line? Probably not. Probably not. But I think it is going to be a point where you get old and stay old and it's only going to be some of these very special offensive linemen who can break in as underclassmen. Now, the fun part about it is, now the fun part about it is is Connor Riley's developing these guys. These guys are sticking around. And now the level of guy he's bringing in to really elevate that competition, to really push those upperclassmen, they're coming in college ready. They're coming in with a higher pedigree. They're coming in a little bit closer to being at that body, at that weight, at that athleticism that you need to play, not only in the big 12, but in Connor Riley system. Because how many times were we seeing center's pole, guards pole, even tackles pulling? How many times were we seeing a guard and tackle combo? And then you see one of those offensive linemen up on the linebackers up on the safety to help, you know, break through a 20, 30 yard run. So when you're elevating the level of athlete, when you're elevating the level of potential, yes, you want to stay old. You want to continue to have experienced guys step in. Hey, you might be a senior, you might only have a handful of games under your belt as a starter, but you're old, you're mature, you understand the playbook, but you're going to have young pups nipping at your heels. And that's what you want in the offensive line room, can Connor Riley continue to thread that needle of bringing in guys who wake their turn, who develop and don't transfer away? I don't know. I think every year we're going to see things change a little bit in the portal, but what I've been able to see from this offensive line, see them able to keep those prospects, to keep those guys compete for spots. Let's have running away trying to find a starting spot elsewhere. I think that speaks volumes, absolute volumes of the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach in Connor Riley. I also think that we're going to start seeing, you know, yearly guys in the NFL draft, we just had Cooper, BB and KT Leviston. I think Easton Kilti is going to be a draft pick this upcoming year, probably third day. I mean, if he has a big year, maybe he can get himself into that second third round, but I think he's going to be a third day pick. And I think there will be more that continue to get in there. I think, you know, Carver Willis is a guy who might hear his name one day. But I think almost all these guys who have been brought in, maybe not Ryan Howard, I don't know, but I think most of these guys that Connor Riley has been bringing in, they're sealing 100% as NFL draft pick. And I don't think you can say that about anywhere else on the field. And I think it's been a long time since you can find any position group, any position room at K state consistently have four or five, six, seven guys with NFL potential in the room, like the offensive line currently is. Before we get going and we talk a little bit more about the big time commitment that's going to happen today. Remember, this podcast is brought to you by our friends at Charlie Hussle. Before we move on and again talk about some of the big news with K state basketball, specifically the opponents, then we'll talk a little bit about David Castillo. I mean, big, big, big, big, big, big, big commitment announcements coming on Saturday or not Saturday on Monday. Today's you guys are listening to it at 4 p.m. It's going to be on the 24/7 24/7 YouTube page. That's Lincoln Cure. Of course, we've talked about it his finalist, Texas A&M, Oregon KU and K state. Look, I've been hinting at this. I mean, for the better part of four or five months, you guys have heard how confident I am. I'm only more confident. You know, DeShawn Brain, who's from Derby and other Kansas kid, another four star tight end. I think he's the top five tight end in the country. That's right. Two out of the top five tight ends in the country are K state guys. He committed to Oregon. So if you were on the fence at all about Lincoln Cure, I think that was your signal. I would imagine that Lincoln Cure has made his commitment known to all the different coaching staffs. I imagine that nobody in Manhattan, nobody in Eugene, nobody in college station, nobody in Lawrence is going to be surprised when he puts on that purple power cat hat on Monday afternoon. So I don't think he should be nervous. I think he should watch it and enjoy it. I mean, it's going to signal to the world, K state can grab those five stars. Yes, it's an in-state kid, but again, it might give you a little bit of advantage, but you still have to win that recruitment. You still have to win that recruitment. I think it says a lot about Brian LePach. I think it says a lot about Connor Riley. I think it says a lot about Chris Kleinman. I think it says a lot about Matt Wells and of course Taylor Bratt that they're able to bring this recruitment home. It all becomes official at 4 p.m. I'm pumped. I'm over the moon. I can't wait for it to become official. So people will stop saying, "Scott, don't count your chickens before they come home to root." No, this guy is a cat. Lincoln Cure is a cat, and I can't wait for it to become officially official. I think we all should be pumped about it as well. Again, I talked about last week, is it going to substantially change the ceiling for K state football? No, it's not. I'm not going to sit here and tell you guys that this changes everything, but it does break the glass ceiling a little bit. It signals to Kansas kids. It signals to kids in the Midwest region and the Great Plains. It says, "Hey, you can come to K state. You can be a high-profile blue chip at the top as big as it gets, and you can stay home and come to K state." So I'm pumped. Can't wait for 4 o'clock. I will be tuning in. The major piece of news for the conference last week is we got our look at the Big 12 opponents still waiting to hear the actual schedule. That's going to affect a lot. The order of the games you get, who you get before students come back on campus is going to matter. But being able to see who you get at home, who you play on the road, who you get both with, I think that's a pretty big deal. I think ultimately it's set up for really about a best-case scenario with the schedule when you look at it, when you're going to have to play 20 games in 10 weeks. I like the five that you get just at home. I like the five that you're home and away with, and I think all in all, when you're looking at the five teams you're playing just on the road. You're never going to get the perfect conference and as good as the Big 12 is, 1 through 16 in basketball, you're never going to have an easy schedule. But when you look at it of getting big-time home games and winnable games on the road, I think things went about as well as you could have hoped. Again, 20 games, 10 straight weeks, starts in late December, there is no midweek by week, and I think the first five games are going to be without students. So, again, the order and when you get some of these teams at home and away really is going to be where my eyes go. I'm not going to be looking when the official schedule gets released, I'm not going to be looking for big Monday games, I'm not going to be looking to see if CBS picked up any games. I'm not even going to be looking really for Saturday games versus midweek games. I'm instantly going to go to the beginning of the Big 12 schedule and try to figure out, okay, who does K-State have at home before the students are back in session? Where is K-State going before their students are back on campus? I think that that is a pretty big thing that no one is talking about. Granted, we're talking about K-State four or five times a week. So, of course, we're going to be diving deeper into some of this stuff, but I think that is going to play a pretty big deal, and I think anyone who comes to K-State, anyone who comes to Lawrence, anyone who goes to Ames, Iowa, anyone who goes to Texas Tech, BYU, Arizona, even West Virginia, some of these places that have a rabid student section, you want to get them early, you want to get them before the students come back. Houston, no, it doesn't really matter, Grand, they're coming to Bramledge, they're tough to play on the road just because they're an elite team. I don't really think their atmosphere is anything that great. Baylor, again, this is one that K-State's on the road. I mean, I would prefer to play them before the Baylor students come back, but even in the new arena, the atmosphere is not in the top half of the Big 12, so all things considered, at least the opponent breakout is about as good as it can get. The five home and away, so the five teams were going to play twice, KU, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Cincinnati, and Arizona State. I love that the three original Big 8 schools who have never left in this new era of the Big 12, the first year with 16 teams, the first year where we're having 20 games, I absolutely love that we get the three schools we've been sharing a conference with without any breakups for the longest time. I absolutely love it. Again, it sucks that K-State's biggest rival in basketball is one of the most consistent programs. I think deep down, I think deep down, you know, you maybe don't want to play KU twice a year, but I think it's important to play it. It is one of, if not the most played games in the history of college basketball. You guys know me, I'm big on history, I'm big on tradition, so I'm glad that we're playing KU twice. I hate Iowa State, but that game is getting heated. Again, the little, it's not little, the venom between Jerome Tang and the Iowa State fans, the venom between Iowa State and K-State fans, it is real and it is great for the sport. So again, I'm glad we're getting both of those. Oklahoma State, who knows? I'm guessing they're not going to be any good this year, but maybe they will. I don't know. I've actually seen us win in Galangur-Iba, so, you know, if I have the itch to go to Stillwater, it has to be for a basketball game, but again, you have the shared history. And again, Cincinnati is one of those teams that they're being talked about as a top 20, top 30 team. So again, getting quite possibly a quad, it would be a quad two game at home and definitely quad one game on the road. Again, it's going to be cause for good atmosphere. And Arizona State, I mean, that has to be a sweet candidate. I don't think you can, I mean, maybe Oklahoma State, maybe, but you got to go in thinking you got to get both games first Arizona State, and it's good to have one of those teams where you can have confidence and think, all right, that's a team we should be able to get twice. And if you want to get out of Kansas, you know, during the winter, hopefully that's like a mid February game, you're like, all right, let's go to Arizona. See the cats play some basketball. So, you know, that's fine. I don't, I don't think Arizona State's going to be a quad one game even on the road, so it'll be all right. Home only, this is, this is where it gets good. You get Arizona, you get Houston, you get Texas Tech, you get West Virginia. So again, Texas Tech, West Virginia, they can have crowds going Colorado, that's one lot less game in the altitude, and they were a tournament team last year. West Virginia has one of the best players in college basketball and defries, granted his dad's the coach. I think this is the final year there, but again, you're going to see one of the best players in college basketball. Probably a pre-season All-American. Arizona, again, the marquee team in basketball when you're talking about the new incoming teams, you get them coming to Bramledge. Colorado was a tournament team. Houston winning the big 12 last year. Again, if you look at this home schedule, you look at the 10 home games you get at K-State if you have season tickets. I renewed mine, you should look into it. If you don't have season tickets, you're getting K-U, Iowa State, Houston. All three of those teams are going to be pre-season top 10. You also get Arizona, pre-season top 15 top 20, Texas Tech, pre-season top 25, Cincinnati, maybe pre-season top 25. So you're getting seven or eight games versus pre-season top 25 type teams, pre-season top 30 teams. Bramledge has probably never seen such a stacked home slate. So again, if you're getting season tickets, it will be well worth it. Away only already touched on it. Baylor, BYU, UCF, TCU, Utah. Again, TCU, BYU, they both are going to have NCAA tournament aspirations. Baylor is going to have top seed aspirations. They'll be a top 25 team. But when you look at those games, again, Utah, I'm not scared of Utah basketball. TCU, UCF, again, those can be tricky places to play. They're going to be live teams. They're going to be capable of beating you. But those are games you can go into and think, hey, you know, we might be able to get this one. Maybe even depending on how the year is going, hey, we might even expect to get this one. BYU will see what happens again. They're taking in a lot of young guys. They have some future NBA draft picks, but they're going to be young. They're with a new coach. We'll see what happens there. That'll be a rowdy crowd. I think BYU probably is the most underrated basketball atmosphere in the conference. So that one might be tough. And then Baylor, again, Dromtang has some voodoo on them. Eventually that's going to die, but hopefully not this year. Hopefully we can get another win over Baylor this time on the road. But again, I don't think it's out of the question to grab two of those. I mean, I wouldn't be shocked if you got three of them. And again, this is why as time goes on, and this is why, you know, June for both football and basketball, July for both football and basketball, it's so fun because you can convince yourself of just about anything. And again, I want to add a minimum finish in the top eight. I think realistic you can push for top six, top five, but you look at that schedule and you look at your roster, you can convince yourself of like, I mean, could you go 15 and five? Could you go, you know, 16 and four now? Probably not 16 and four, but can you go 15 and five? Could you go 14 and six? Could 14 and six, I mean, hell, 14 and six would have you contending in the final few weeks of the season with how stacked this conference is. So again, you look at it, you start convincing yourself. All right, let's not, let's not talk. Just make the NCAA tournament. Let's talk seating. Let's get a little frisky. Let's talk about big 12 race. Look, anything's possible in July. But I'm pumped with that schedule. You're going to be seeing great games in Bramblech all winter long. I can't wait. Now we're just sitting back and just sitting back and waiting for the full schedule. Again, I think you want some of those less exciting games at home. You know, you want that Arizona state game, you know, in late December, early January, you know, you want who's another team I'm going to take a shot. You want maybe Oklahoma state. Maybe you want that, you know, in early January, right before the semester gets going, you know, and then you're hoping maybe you get to go to Arizona. Maybe you're going to KU or Ames, you know, before the students are back. So that's, like I said, going to be the first thing my eyes go to when the full season schedule gets released. Still waiting on the non conference games again. You're going to have LSU come into Bramblech. So you're going to see Cam Carter coming back. That'll be fun going down to Wichita. So playing at Cocorina on the campus of Wichita state. That's a game I'm going to try to get down to. It sounds like we're going to play Drake in Kansas City on that Tuesday before Christmas. I don't think Drake's going to be any good. And I don't like that game being on a Tuesday. But again, I love having that game. I was convinced that game was going to go by the way of the Dodo Bird, be extinct, but I'm pumped to have it. So I'll be looking forward to going to that game. And then I think you're going to get a bunch of filler, you know, that the Cayman Islands Paradise Jam down in St. Vincent or St. Thomas. That's not going to have a lot of good teams. It's going to be a pretty low rent tournament. I would love to see K-State win that. I think you're going to have plenty of buy games that you need to take care of. I want to see a big number in the noncon when it comes to wins. I want to see K-State blowing teams out. I want to have confidence and a good net rate ranking when we get into the Big 12 because we saw how that could affect you when it comes to selection Sunday. So I'm feeling good about it. I'm anxious to see the full schedule. And I know you guys are as well. Hey, it's Kaylee Cuoco for Priceline. Ready to go to your happy place for a happy price? Well, why didn't you say so? And finally, we're going to end with a little bit of David Castillo hype. Drum tank had some availability with the media earlier last week. And for the most part, it was pretty basic. You know, you can tell he's excited to have so many of the guys already on campus at the end of June. I think the hope is to get a chore chore in in July. David Castillo is playing with the Netherlands. But Coleman Hawkins has arrived. So you have 11 out of your 13 players. And that's something that Coach Tang has not had. I mean, he hasn't had 11 out of 13 players on hand. Heck, by August, I don't think it's even happened by August. So again, having it happen in late June is massive. But he's hyping up David Castillo at a pretty high level. Now, I think we all remember what he's said about Taj Manning and Dorian Finisher and those, you know, did not come to fruition. Granted, Taj is still here. So maybe it does click for Taj. So I do take things with a little bit of grain of salt. But drum tank has been saying that, you know, right when shooter rounds and practices, summer practices began, he would say to himself, man, I don't know how I'm going to keep David Castillo off the floor. And then he came to the media and he presented it saying, I don't know if I can keep David Castillo out of the starting five. Again, I'm taking some of this with a grain of salt. Drum tank loves to hype up his guys. But where David Castillo could be different and where I'm now allowing myself to come off the stance that I held earlier this offseason, which was, you know, I don't want to see David Castillo playing a lot. I want to see him just kind of get some scrub minutes. I don't want to depend on him. But I'm coming off that a little bit because we are hearing how much hype that drum tank is giving him. Not unprompted. I'm pretty sure there's a question about David Castillo. But again, he's not being goaded into hyping him up this much. But I mean, he was a blue chip guy. You know, he at one point was a five star before he sustained an injury and lost out on his entire final summer of circuit league. And he saw his ranking fall a little bit, but he's a guy who's played for USA basketball. He's a guy who played his final year of high school ball with Sunrise Christian and got to play against some of the best schools in the country. He got to play, you know, every single day in practice against fellow division one and fellow power conference basketball players. So that is what gives me a little bit of hope that maybe David Castillo is going to blow my very minuscule expectations out of the water and live up to what some other folks had for David. Now, I don't think he's going to be a starter. But if he is starting quality and if he is that good, all of a sudden, again, I was talking about it at the top of the episode. That's the point where maybe we're talking top four, top five, top three, contending for a big 12 title. Maybe we're talking about four, you know, three, two seating in the tournament. Maybe we're talking about if we're going to end up in Wichita or Denver or Milwaukee for the opening games in the NCAA tournament. David Castillo is the X factor for this team that then allows you to dream even more. If David Castillo can be touching the level that drone tanks talking about, that takes the pressure off of housing. It takes the pressure off of Max Jones and says, "Hey, you guys can just worry about your role. You're not going to have to play and be bigger, be better than what your role is," which is shooting it from deep, taking care of the ball, and at least giving, you know, high effort, high intensity defense. It allows you to have some margin for air on a day where CJ Jones, maybe he doesn't have it, or hell, it makes it so CJ Jones does not adjust to power five basketball that the season isn't at a loss. It allows if Doug McDaniel gets in early foul trouble, the whole entire game doesn't go out the window. It gives you some room to breathe. It gives you some margin of area. It allows you to either at the high end increase your expectations, or at the low end, it gives you a backstop of some of these other guys that were brought in do not live up to what we are hoping and expecting from them. So if Castillo can be a player, if he can be a dog, if he can be a dude, if he can be what Jerome Tang is saying, he sees the potential in year one, that's the biggest X Factor this team can have. So it's going to be something that I am going to have my ear to the ground on all summer long. It's going to be maybe the number one thing I'm focusing on early in the season is can David Castillo show some signs to make you believe he can be that guy in year one. I think everyone is excited to see what maybe year two, year three could be for David Castillo, but can he get there in year one, that could be a massive, massive, massive X Factor for this season.
