Telling The TRUTH
112914 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[MUSIC PLAYING] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. founder and president, George Dooms. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus promised, "The Spirit of Truth whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees him nor knows him, but you know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you." John 14, 17, New King James Version. That was the helper that Jesus promised his disciples would come, and that helper is available to every believer in Jesus Christ today because he indwells the Christian. And if you have admitted you have sinned and turned to Jesus from your sins and believed on him, then God's Holy Spirit lives in you and gives you the privilege and the power of presenting the truths to people who need to know the Lord. Will you pray for the people who don't know him? Will you go to them with the gospel? We offer you a Bible. Do King James, Triple T. edition. All you have to do is call 812-867-2418. And tell us to whom you will be giving the Bible, someone between the ages of 10 and 19. And we'll send it to you. Call now, 812-867-2418. And when you call, tell us how we can pray for you and the person who received the Bible that you are going to give. As you call, we'll be praying. Listen to John 1526, New King James Version. But when the helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who proceeds from the Father, he will testify of me. The Holy Spirit was promised by Jesus that he would indwell every believer in Christ. And so today, if you have believed on the Lord Jesus, if you have told other people about him, if you have turned to him from your sins and received from him the gift of God eternal life, then you have the responsibility of allowing the Holy Spirit to make you usable and use you to share the good news of Jesus with people who need the Lord. Our world is filled with people, especially youth, ages 10 to 19, who've never heard the truth. But if someone like you would tell them the truth, they can believe and become members of God's forever family. So we have a Bible for you to give to someone between the ages of 10 and 19. You can call, 812-867-2418. It will send that Bible to you. Call now. 812-867-2418. Tell us how we can pray for you and the person who received the Bible that you are going to give. Before Jesus ascended, he shared with his disciples what was going to happen. Listen to John 1613, New King James. However, when he, the Spirit of Truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak of his own authority, but whatever he hears, he will speak, and he will tell you things to come. As God speaks to your heart through his word, abide by it and do something about it. God's Holy Spirit wants to give you the privilege of sharing the truth with people who need the Lord. There are 10 to 19-year-olds that you know, that you could reach. And we have a Bible to send to you to give to one of them. So call now. 812-867-2418. And get the Bible so that you can then share Jesus and how they can know him, whom to know right is life eternal, with one of those people for whom you are concerned. Call now. 812-867-2418. We want to pray with you and for you and for the person for whom you are concerned, that will receive the Bible that you are going to receive from us to give to him or her. So call us and know we will pray for you. He wants to make you usable and use you. Listen to John 17, 17, New King James. Sanctify them by your truth. Your word is truth. That's very, very imperative that you understand that because the Holy Spirit dwells in you, he will share truth through you to those who need to know Jesus. There are youth, 10 to 19 in your community, who need the Lord. We have for you a New King James Bible, Triple T edition, to put into your hands to place in the hands of someone who needs to know the Lord, a youth in your area, whom you know, and share the gospel with him or her. God's plan of salvation is on the inside front flap. To get your Bible, call now. 812-867-2418. We will send it to you. And when you call, tell us how we can best pray for you and the person to whom you are going to give the Bible. So call now, 812-867-2418. We will pray with you and for you when you call. And we will believe that God will make you usable and use you to reach a youth for Him in your community. Jesus, the sinless Savior, had been betrayed. Listen to John 1837, New King James. Pilate, therefore, said to Him, "Are you a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king, for this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice." And now that you have heard his voice, you have read the Scriptures, you have known who Jesus is, because your opportunity is now to share the good news of the saving power of Jesus with people who need to know Him. We have a Bible to put into your hands to give to someone between the ages of 10 and 19. To get your New King James' triple T edition of the Bible, call now 812-867-2418. Let us know to whom you are going to present this Bible, so we can pray for Him or for her and for you. Call now 812-867-2418. We're looking forward to connecting with you and helping you reach somebody for the Lord Jesus Christ, if you will. It's totally up to you. So call now. Listen carefully if you are a believer to this message directly from God's Word to you. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2, 15, New King James Version. If you will abide by that, wonderful things can happen. You can make a difference. There are youth in your community who need Jesus. Will you be the one who tells them the truth? Will you take the truth to them? We have for you a New King James Triple T Bible that we will send to you if you will call 812-867-2418. Tell us the person for whom you are concerned, the person who will receive the Bible which you will receive from us to give to Him or to her. So call now 812-867-2418. Let us know how we can best pray with you and for you and for the people who are in your area who need to know Jesus. Will you go with the Gospel, the Word of God? I hope you will. If you will, call and let us know how we can pray with you and for you. We will send a Bible your way so that you can give it to someone between ages of 10 and 19. So call now. God can use you if you are willing. Are there people in your community, even youth, who have been blinded from the truth? Listen to what God would have you to do as He presents the challenge to you in 2 Timothy 2.25. In humility, connecting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance so that they may know the truth. That's a wonderful thing that you can do, if you will. Take the truth to those folk. Give them God's Word. We have a Bible to give to you, to give to someone who is between the ages of 10 and 19. Call now. 812-867-2418. And as you call, know that you will receive a copy of God's Word, New King James Version, Triple T Edition, to give to someone who needs the Lord. We're waiting to hear from you. So call now. 812-867-2418. And as you call, let us know how we can best pray for you and with you and for the person for whom you are most concerned. The Bible will come your way, and we will pray together that God will make you usable and use you to present His infallible Word to someone who needs Jesus. Call now. God bless you as you do. [MUSIC PLAYING] Every Saturday at 7.27 PM, you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US 41 North at Booneville and Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. [MUSIC PLAYING] Jesus had been crucified, but he didn't stay dead. He rose again on the third day. And now, after 40 days following the resurrection, he was meeting with his disciples. And being assembled together with them, he commended them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which he said, You have heard from me. They said, Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom of Israel? And he said to them, it is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in his own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem. And in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth. Now, when he had spoken these things, while they watched, he was taken up and a cloud received him out of their sight. While they looked steadfastly toward heaven, as he went up, the whole two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? The same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven. Then they returned to Jerusalem from the Mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey. And when they arrived there, they went into an upper room. It was Jesus' promise that caused the disciples to go and to wait for the Holy Spirit to come upon them. And when this happened, the whole world would never ever be the same again. Jesus was able to go to a lot of places during his time on planet Earth, but not very far from home. He traveled all across Galilee. But when the Holy Spirit came and indwelled every believer in Jesus Christ from the moment he came, then people were able to go with the gospel, not just Jesus himself, not just sending people out 70 of them two by two, but now worldwide, people could go with the gospel through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit who lived within them. And because of this, God's grace manifest itself in the hearts and lives of people everywhere. And today, the gospel of Jesus Christ continues to go throughout the entire world. Here at Triple T Christian Youth Ministries, we have the opportunity of working with Teen Missions International. They have bases now in 24 nations, all six continents. And we work with them in what we call the Motorcycle Sunday School Mission. We have motorcycle Sunday schools across Africa. These Sunday schools are not Sunday schools. They're Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, whichever day of the week. And there are what we call circuit riders who go on motorcycles back into the villages. And they go to a different village each day for six days. And so we have six Sunday schools in an area. And that's called a circuit. And these two people are trained at BMW. BMW means Bible Missionary Work Training Center. And these training centers are everywhere, and especially across Africa. And so as a result of being trained there, two years of Bible training and one year of an internship, then they are able to be the facilitators to take the motorcycles and take the Sunday schools out into the villages. And so it's our privilege as a ministry to work hand-in-hand with Team Missions International and Motorcycle Sunday School Mission. And we have established a triple T Sunday school in Cameroon, Africa. We also have one in Zimbabwe, in Zambia. We have one in Malawi. We have one in Madagascar. We have one in South Africa. And so the gospel goes as we sponsor these Sunday schools. And we're averaging between 100 and 200 in each of our sponsored Sunday schools each week. And we're now sponsoring 13 Sunday schools and about to establish our 14th one early next year. We also have two in Asia. One in Borneo and the other one in Cambodia. And again, the gospel goes as these people ride the motorcycles back into the villages and share God's good news and teach them all kinds of things, how to read, how to write, and especially what the Bible teaches. And it's a great ministry and a great mission. And we now are establishing in Central America the very first double circuit Sunday school there. A circuit is six, and so there'll be two of them. There'll be 12 of them. And the very first one is the Mary Dume's Memorial Sunday School in Honduras. And the training begins in February. And we'll be able to go with the gospel early spring when everything is ready to one of those Sunday schools that is the one that we're sponsoring, and we'll be joining five others with one circuit and six at another circuit. And meanwhile, back where we are, we will be saturating the whole area of Southern Illinois with the gospel during the month of January. Be praying with us and for us. We'll be concentrating on the towns of Albin and Carmi, Fairfield, McClanesboro, and Mount Carmel. And we'll be putting the gospel into effect in every means and media possible. We call it saturation evangelism, telling the truth. We'll be using radio and television and newspapers and billboards, and then one-on-one sharing. We're training youth between the ages of 10 and 19 to be Christian communicators, to be leaders, and then to be able to share the gospel with their classmates. And we are really praying very diligently that we'll be able to reach as many students as possible in the junior high and high schools, middle schools, in these areas. So pray with us and for us. And we'll let you in on all the things that are happening. We're trying to let people know that the amazing grace that God has made available is now available to everybody who will understand how God loved them so much that he sent his son Jesus Christ to live perfectly after being born of a virgin and to die on a cruel cross because you're a sinner and I am a sinner and Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures. He was buried and he rose again on the third day. And now, as we've just shared with you, the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ. How do you believe? By admitting you've sinned, by turning to Jesus from your sins, by receiving from him forgiveness and the gift of God eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord, and being willing to tell others about him. You'll confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved for the heart one believes under righteousness and with a mouth confession is made to salvation. It's a delight to come into your home, into your car, into your circumstance wherever you are and to share God's good news with you week by week by week and in many situations every single day, sometimes twice a day. And so we want you to know that we are here for you. It's Thanksgiving time and I am so grateful to the Lord for what he has done for the ways that he has worked for the people that he's put into the picture. I'm so thankful that he gave Mary and me the opportunity to serve him together from the time we were students at Mount Carmel High School, her junior year, my senior year, and we continued to share the gospel wherever we were, wherever God opened doors of opportunity and right here in this area, we've been privileged to be here every single Saturday night since the first Saturday of February of 1966. And did you know that tonight God willing will be our 2,548 consecutive Saturday event for youth? And we're excited, not only because of what has already happened but why it's going to be happening tonight. Tonight we're doing a thing called turkey bowling and it's a game that everybody really likes and you got to see it to believe it and you're invited to come and join us tonight. Stay tuned, we'll give you more details and more of a very special invitation to get something very special if you will come tonight at 727, four miles north of Evansville Regional Airport four miles south of I-64. We're looking forward to having you with us so stay tuned, we'll tell you more. Triple T has gained a reputation of training and equipping creative Christian communicators, both youth and adults. And one of the things that we've done is come up with this idea that's very, very different, it's called turkey bowling. And what we do is we use frozen turkeys, we get to of course after Thanksgiving and we use them as the bowling balls and we move them toward the pins which are actually two liter bottles and it's a lot of fun and it's very, very different but it really is a way to capture the imaginations of people and to say to them, hey, we can have fun while we're out here sharing God's good news. And speaking of his good news, we have for any adult that comes tonight, a special book, it's called captured by Grace by David Jeremiah. It's the story of the song Amazing Grace and of the life of John Newton and of the Apostle Paul. Listen to the chapter titles and a couple of details about them. One, the captivating presence of Grace. Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound. Two, the compassionate plan of Grace that saved a wretch like me. Three, the converting power of Grace. I once was lost but now am found. Four, the clear perspective of Grace was blind but now I see. Five, the comforting provision of Grace. It was Grace that taught my heart to fear and Grace, my fears relieved. Six, the connecting point of Grace. How precious did that Grace appear? The hour I first believed. Seven, the confusing paradox of Grace. Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come. Eight, the confident promise of Grace. 'Tis Grace has brought me safe thus far and Grace will lead me home. Nine, the compelling prospect of Grace. When we've been there 10,000 years, bright shining as the sun and 10, the continual praise of Grace. We've no less days to sing God's praise than when we first begun. When I was a student at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, we had the privilege of having a person to lead us in the congregational singing the whole of 3,000 strong student body. The man's name was Lauren Jones. He had been a soloist with Billy Sunday. He had been the song leader for Bob Jones senior in his evangelistic crusade and he had moved to Greenville. And he taught us a little different rendition of that verse. He said, "10,000 years is not long enough." Let's sing it. When we've been there 10 trillion years, bright shining as the sun, we've no less days to sing God's praise than when we first begun. And it would just kind of raise the roof as that student body of over 3,000 would sing with that real gusto being led by Lauren Jones, one of the great song leaders of all time. And it was an amazing thing to watch him turn that 3,000 group of students into a mass choir that had harmony and just a wonderful, wonderful thing that was happening. And the melody was always there. But the harmonies that he brought out of the people just made the whole thing really happen. Another song that he taught us, and I had already learned this when I was in high school or actually before that, it was called "Wonderful Grace of Jesus." And again, as he led that song with the student body as his choir, it was tremendous. It was my privilege before I went to Bob Jones University to attend Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois. And I had the opportunity of listening to "How Door Lilliness." Tell about that song, that song that he had written and "Wonderful Grace of Jesus." And he gave us some stories and told us some things about how God had used it and had blessed him because of it. And so God's amazing grace is available to you. First of all, admit that you've sinned. And say, "God, I've sinned and I'm sorry. "I want to turn to Jesus. "I want to receive the grace of God, "the gift of God eternal life." And then I want to tell other people, I believe. If you'll come tonight, you'll have fun watching "Tricky Bolding Happen." And you'll be given a copy if you're an adult, of "Captured by Grace." If you're a youth, one of our Bibles. Remember this, Christ through you can change the world.
