Telling The TRUTH
110114 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dumes. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ." Listen to Acts 1342, New King James Version. So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that those words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. Because they were concerned about their "tomorrows." Because they now knew some things about Jesus Christ they didn't know before, they wanted to learn a whole lot more. And they were not being welcomed by the Jewish folk in the synagogue. But Paul and Barnabas were sharing God's good news, and it was falling on ears that were ready to listen and to respond. God wants every one of us to understand that the gospel is available now to anyone anywhere and to admit he or she has sinned, who will believe in the Lord Jesus, who will turn to Him from their sins and receive His gift, the gift of God eternal life, and then tell others about Him, and how they too can admit they have sinned, can believe on Christ and be born again. That's the goal we have for you. We have for you a Bible, New King James Version, and it's for you to give to somebody between the ages of 10 and 19. 812-867-2418 to get yours. The number 812-867-2418. Someone is waiting for you to tell them the truth. It's up to you. Even though many scoffed at the news that Jesus was alive, that he had risen from the dead, not so with everyone, listen to Acts 13-43. Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who speaking to them persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. God's amazing grace is available to anybody who will respond to the love of God. Jesus died for our sins, was buried in rose again, and that's the gospel. That's the message that needs to be shared with everybody everywhere. And so there were some folk who said, "We want to know more. We want to respond to the love of God." What about you? Have you believed on the Lord Jesus Christ personally? Have you admitted you have sinned? Have you turned to Jesus from your sins? Have you really trusted the Lord Jesus completely and absolutely and without question? God loves you. Jesus died for you, and he wants you to not only believe on him, but to the other people about him. If you confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised from the dead, you will be saved. Now, there are people who don't know that message, but they need to hear it. Call 812-867-2418 and get a copy of the Bible itself to give to someone. Call now 812-867-2418. Saturation of Angelism, telling the truth, is the thrust of Triple T Christian Youth Ministries. On the next Sabbath, almost the whole city came together to hear the Word of God. That's Acts 1344, New King James Version. Wouldn't that be magnificent if that would happen in your town, in your community? It can if we continue to pray together and to work together and to labor under God's leadership to get the gospel to many people as many as possible as quickly as we can, as effectively as we can. I don't know where you are today as you listen, but I do know that there are people in your community that could hear the Word of the Lord if you would invite them. We have something for you. It's the Bible, New King James Version. To give to a youth between the ages of 10 and 19, if it will call 812-867-2418, we're going to Bible to you to give away. That number 812-867-2418. You see, everybody everywhere is lost. They're lost and they will stay lost until they hear the gospel and believe on the Lord Jesus. That becomes our responsibility, yours and mine, to take the gospel to people who need the Lord. The whole city can come together one by one and hear the good news. Will you be the catalyst? Will you be the personal persuader of people to hear God's good news? Acts 1345-46, New King James says. Almost the whole city came together to hear the gospel. When the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy and contradicting and blaspheming, they opposed the things spoken by Paul. Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, "It was necessary that the Word of God should be spoken to you first, but since you reject it and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles." God does not lack people to hear about him now. He just lacks people like us to tell folk how to get to heaven. Will you be one of those who will do precisely that? There are people in your world who need to hear the gospel and who will believe on the Lord Jesus once they know how. Will you be the one to take the gospel to them? We have a Bible, New King James Version, for you to give away to someone between the ages of 10 and 19. Call 812-867-2418 and request your Bible. Tell us the person for whom you are praying, the person to whom you intend to present this Bible, and we'll pray with you and for you and send the Bible your way. Call 812-867-2418. And when you do, know that God can use you as He uses the Bible that will send to you to give to someone who needs to know the Lord Jesus Christ. Listen to Acts 1347, New King James, "For so the Lord has commended us, I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth." Paul and Barnabas were used of God magnificently to share God's good news, and it was shared into the hearts as a light for the future of all who will believe on the Lord Jesus. What a wonderful thing it is to know that you and I today are the recipients of that gospel that was shared so long ago, and it continues to be shared all around the world. As you have just heard, that you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth. God has done wonderful things, and the gospel is going forth and is going forth through folk like you. But wherever you are, we have something for you. It's the Bible, New King James Version, geared for youth, ready to be given by you to someone within the ages of 10 and 19, to get yours, call 812-867-2418. The inside front flap has God's ABCs. And the inside back, God's top 10, call 812-867-2418. To get a Bible to share with someone who needs the Lord. Will you call now? Listen to Acts 1348, New King James. Then when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the Word of the Lord, and as many as has been appointed to eternal life believed. That's a wonderful thing that happened, and it can still happen where you are and where I am. Will you take the gospel to someone? The Word of God, we're ready to help you. All you have to do is call 812-867-2418. Tell us for whom you are praying, to whom you will present a copy of the Word of God, New King James Version. Call now. 812-867-2418. Thank you. The greatest need in the world is found in 2nd Corinthians 4-3, but if our gospel be hidden, it is hidden to those that are perishing. The plan Jesus gave us, Mark 16-15 says, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." The result, Acts 13-49, and the Word of the Lord was being spread throughout all the region. That's why we come to you every day by radio, to spread the Word of the Lord in your region, wherever you are, and then to challenge you to go to people who need to know Jesus. Do you know him personally? Are you concerned about those who don't know him? If you've admitted you have sinned, if you've believed in the Lord Jesus, if you've told other people about him, there are more people who need to hear. Will you go with the gospel, with God's good news, with the Bible itself? The King James Version, geared to youth, is ready to come your way. Call 812-867-2418. Listen to John 11, 2526, New King James Version. Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die." Do you believe this? Well, I certainly do, and I hope you do too, because Jesus said it. It's in the Bible. It is absolutely fabulously true. Triple T Saturday nights during October were very, very exciting. Our theme was, "Seek, Search, Excellent Eternal Knowledge." Well, Tammy and James and I were with Mary at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. Back at Triple T, Shelley Bernard, George Cal from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Lila Touchstone, Ray Marcy, and Julie Speer, BMW students. That's Bible, Missionary Work, Training Center students, with Teen Missions International, Meredith Island, Florida, Producer Ali, George Cal, Lila, Ray, and Julie had come to help with Triple T's Fall Festival booth. That Saturday night's excellent theme was personified by Mary. Whether using a computer, typewriter, oven, stove, or needle and thread, Mary served the Lord diligently and with excellence. October 18's theme, "Eternal Gave Assurance" that to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ is the way to live forever. October 25's "Knowledge" theme embraced Ephesians 3.19. To know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Tammy shared the biblical account of the connection between the artisan who crafted the tabernacle tapestries and furnishings with Solomon's meeting with God and his request for wisdom and knowledge, it was a God-ordained connection. November's theme, "Beginning Tonight," is "Set Your Goals." Saturation of Angelism, "Telling the Truth." A tribute celebration of Mary's life and ministries will be tonight at Triple T. Today is All Saints Day, and Triple T's traditional "South of the Border Night" has nachos available. At the end of the rally, Mary's kitchen will be dedicated, and free nachos will be offered to everybody who attends. You're invited. It starts at 727. Triple T is located at 13,000 U.S. Highway 41 North at Booneville and Harmony Road, halfway between Evansville Regional Airport and I-64. We want you to know that we would be delighted to have you with us tonight. We have alumni coming from across the area. We've been receiving lots and lots of words from people trying to come. In fact, one of our alumni is endeavoring to fly down from Indianapolis in his own airplane, and so neat and so wonderful that people care so much about Mary and about the ministry that she had. And they are wanting to honor her in a special way, and we believe that tonight will be a very significant night, a long-remembered night because of the people who are going to be coming and sharing. Project Proclaim is what we do all the time, and PRO stands for Public Relations Outreach. Inbound ministries led by Todd Burton have been invited to bring teams to demonstrate basketball and share the gospel during the last week of each month to the targeted community. God has opened this radio door and it's a very special door. Now He's about to open another door of television spots that will get the gospel and will also invite people to participate in these Tiger Team Impact Evangelistic youth efforts all across the area. Your prayers will be appreciated as we determine where to go when, month by month, actually week by week and day by day, beginning now. God willing during November and December will be moving full speed forward to lay the groundwork for all the going on that are coming up in 2015. God has put together a magnificent team of people, willing workers, open hearts to the gospel, working together side by side here at Triple T. The Triple T team is really, really, really a dedicated group of people who love the Lord and who love people and who want to get the gospel to people effectively. Since Mary went home to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, October 12, an overwhelming response keeps coming from people near and far. We are so grateful for the many, many family and friends who came to the visitation and the funeral service. Bob and Bernie Bland and 18 Missions International staff members drove up from Merritt Island, Florida. They were Kathy Vanderpool, Tom and Linda Mahar, Emory and Linda Aronson and their son Joseph, Steve Peterson, Sean Foy, and what a delight to have them with us. Lee and Darlene Homoke drove down from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and friends and relatives came from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio. Phone calls, cards, letters, emails, and social media communications have been received from around the world, all six continents, many different countries and over half of the United States. Because Mary was so quiet and unassuming, many of the stories we are hearing of the impact she made on person after person are so very gratifying, as she did special things for many people of which we were unaware. Our grandsons Bennett and Drennett served as Paul Beers, along with Timothy Deakman, Richard Comer, Steve Forester, and Scott Rasko. Triplety's executive board members served as honorary Paul Beers, John Dunn, Frank Schulteis, Dr. Jeff Selby, Stan Deakman, David Kelly, Jeff Bobley, and Carol Youngs. The Lord used Dave Swambach wonderfully to conduct Mary's memorial service. Mary's niece Kathy Beeman, accompanied by her husband Don, sang "My Tribute." Thank you, and led to congregation in singing one of Mary's favorite songs, "At the Cross." Demi shared her heart about her mother, and James did too. Yvonne followed. I was privileged to share stories about Mary's life during our more than 64 years together. I quoted only one life until soon be passed, only once done for Christ will last, and then asked Kathy to sing the song that was sung at our wedding, where he leads me I will follow. We had no idea where all we would be going, but shortly after we were married, we moved to Greenville, South Carolina, where I enrolled in Bob Jones University. And then we had the privilege of going every weekend around the hairpin curves from Greenville to Hendersonville, North Carolina for a Youth for Christ rally, weekend after weekend, Saturday by Saturday. Mary played an old-fashioned pump organ during the rallies in the courthouse. And then the next year, we were privileged to go with Mary's parents on a cross-the-country trip from Tijuana, Mexico to Vancouver, to Vancouver, British Columbia, traveling to every state except the Dakotas, all west of Kansas. And so it has been a very, very wonderful ride that we've had together going everywhere together by car, by plane, and just having a wonderful time seeing God do tremendous things. Dave Swambach concluded with the Gospel and an invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. I don't know if you have yet accepted Jesus as your Savior, but right now would be a good time for you to say, "God, I've sinned and I'm sorry. I'm going to turn to Jesus Christ who died from my sins. I'm going to believe on Him. I'm going to receive His gift of God, eternal life, through Christ Jesus, my Lord. Stay tuned. ♪♪ The Bible says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." That's Romans 3.23. Romans 6.23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." Did you know that everybody everywhere has sinned? That's you, that's me, that's everyone? And God wants us to come to Him and ask Him for forgiveness. Even Christians need to do this. The Bible says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." When I was a freshman in college at Greenville, Illinois, and Mary was a senior in high school, a very wonderful thing happened on Easter Sunday, 1950, in Mount Carmel, Illinois. And one of the songs that I heard during that first night of that meeting that was supposed to last a week or two, but actually extended four or five, maybe six weeks, was the song Cleanse Me. Listen, search me, O God, and know my heart today. Try me, O Savior, and hear my thoughts, I pray. See if there be some wicked way in me. Cleanse me from every sin and set me free. That's my prayer right now. I've been praying that very, very diligently over the past few days. Cleanse me. I need God's cleansing because I too, like you, have sinned and come short of God's expectations. As we have interacted with so many people personally during the past few weeks, we've been made aware of blessings and needs. Please let us know how we can best pray for you. If you'll come tonight, it would be a delight to share with you and let you share with us. Thank you for your prayers and your concern for us. And please know, we really do care about you. We've had people come and say, "Wow, God has blessed this and that and the other thing." One of the wonderful things that happened was, "Well, we were in the hospital with Mary, that one of the young ladies who was on our staff and who really was a very vile part of our ministry had let us know earlier that she had lost a baby." And she was devastated. And then she let us know that she was expecting again. And as she came to visit Mary and our family in the hospital, she was very, very close to the delivery time. And within hours, she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. And how we thank the Lord for these blessings that are coming. And also, there's the heartbreak of people who have lost jobs, who have been in accidents, who have had physical difficulties. And we know that the power of prayer reaches everyone everywhere if we will go to the throne of grace. God gives us this privilege of praying for one another. We need your prayers for us personally. I need your prayers as an individual. We need it as a family. We need especially as our ministry continues to reach out to more people. And God is opening new doors unexpectedly. He's doing some things that are very, very special. But we've got to be made usable and then used of God to be ready to go through every single door that God opens. For a long time, we have prayed that He would open the door of television. And now, suddenly, it's happening. Spot announcements will begin in a different community. Saturation, evangelism, every single day, God willing, during 2015. Again, wonderful things are happening. And because of this, we'll be able to go to the communities and put together Tiger Team Impact Evangelistic Youth Efforts. We'll be able to see people come to hear the Gospel, believe in the Lord Jesus, and then reach their friends and multiply this ministry again and again and again. So as you think about your relationship with God, take just a moment as I listen to God's Word in a very special way and share it with you. John 3, 16, Jesus said it, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that her believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Isn't that a wonderful thing? That's the message that Jesus shared. He didn't stop there. He went on from there, and He let us know exactly where everybody stands who has not believed they are condemned already. And if you're not a believer, you are condemned already, but you can believe now. You can turn to Jesus now, and I hope you will. Pray this prayer. God, I've sinned, and I'm sorry. Please forgive me. I opened my heart to Jesus Christ who died for me. Thank you, God, for saving me. Christ through you can change the world.
