Telling The TRUTH
092014 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. founder and president, George Dooms. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. For by grace you have been saved through faith and that none of yourselves, it is the gift of God, Ephesians 2-8, New King James. God wants us to know that salvation is totally a gift from Him to those of us who have believed on Him. It's the faith factor that saves us. And now once we have been born again, God expects us to share the good news of the saving power of the Lord Jesus with people who need to know the Lord. One of the things that is very problematic is a series of circumstances about the youth of today who are confused because they have not been told the truth. Ten to nineteen-year-olds really, really have a future before them that will be totally, completely and absolutely messed up unless someone tells them how to get to heaven and how to live successfully, meanwhile, on planet Earth. Will you be that someone? We have for you a Bible to give away. Do King James' version to get yours call 812-867-2418 and give it to somebody who's young between ten and nineteen. Pray with someone else for them. Let us pray with you for them and call and get your Bible to give away. The number 812-867-2418. Waiting for your call. Not of works, lest anyone should boast. That's Ephesians 2-9, NKJ. God wants us to know that once we have believed on Christ, we are to work for Him, not to work because we have not yet believed, but to believe and then go to work, to share the gospel with other people. God wants us not to be boastful, but to be humble in our expectations of sharing the good news of the Lord Jesus was someone who needs Him. There are youth out there who have a whole lifetime ahead of them to serve Jesus. Someone like you or me needs to tell them how. Because you know people we don't know, we ask you to go to someone who's a teenager or a preteen and share Jesus with them. We have for you a New King James Version of the Bible to give to someone in that age group and to share the plan of salvation with them. It's on the inside front flap. We also have printed copies of God's ABCs that we can send to you. So call 812-867-2418 and give a Bible to someone who needs Jesus. Pray first and then go. Will you call now 812-867-2418? Let us pray with you and for you as you get ready to go with God's good news to someone young. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them, Ephesians 2-10, New King James. Yes, when we believe on Christ, we are to work for Him. Basking in His glory, sharing the good news with people who need the Lord, especially youth. We're His workmanship. He created us for good works. And now because God is prepared at all beforehand, let's walk to them. Let's go to youth with the gospel. That's why we put together a copy of God's Word, the New King James Bible, for you to give to someone between the ages of 10 and 19. Pray first diligently, for God to make you usable and use you as you work for Him. Call 812-867-2418 and get your Bible. Tell us how to pray best for you and for the person for whom you are concerned, the one to whom you are going to go and share the gospel. That's going to be a wonderful thing. We want to be your prayer partner. We want to share together. Again, the Bible is yours to give away. To get yours, call 812-867-2418. No, this is a way you can walk for God's glory. Listen, please, to Ephesians 2.13, New King James. But now in Christ Jesus, you who were once far off have been bought now by the blood of Christ. Yes, that's the way it works. Jesus Christ died for our sins. Having been born of a virgin and living perfectly, He rose again. In the blood of Jesus Christ, God's Son cleanses us from all sins and unrighteousness. And because we have been bought by the blood of Jesus, we need to be able to understand why it's our responsibility to go to people to tell that good news story. There are youth who have never heard who Jesus is. They don't know why He came, that He died, that He rose again, that He wants to live in their hearts, that He wants to save them from their sins. But someone like you can go and tell them. You can take a Bible to them. We have a Bible for you to give away, New King James Version. To get yours, call 812-867-2418. And then go with the Gospel. That's 812-867-2418. We'll send you a Bible to give to someone between the ages of 10 and 19. Get a prayer partner, tell us how we can best pray for you, and then go with God's good news. People around the world, youth, are praying at the flag poles of their schools. Last year, over 3 million did that, and the day is that day we call see you at the pole. It's also a very significant day in the ministry of TTT Christian Youth Ministries. It's the day 500 of 1000 days of prayer and action. And we invite you to be part of the action by taking the Gospel to people, especially young people who need the Lord. Listen to Ephesians 2-14, New King James. "For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one and has broken down the middle wall of separation." It's a wonderful thing to know that and do something about it. When the wall of separation has been broken down by the Lord Jesus, let's do something now by taking the Gospel to people who don't know Jesus, but who could if you would tell them how. God's ABCs are on the inside flap of the New King James Bible. We want to put into your hands to give to someone else and put it into their hands to share Jesus with them. Call 812-867-2418 to get your Bible to give away. That's 812-867-2418. That Bible in the New King James Version will be sent to you to give to someone who needs Jesus between the ages of 10 and 19. Call us now. He came, you know, to be the reconciler for everybody, and He did it specifically for you and for me. Listen to Ephesians 2-15, New King James Version. "Having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace." God's Peace is available to you and to me as it is shared here in Ephesians 2-15. Do you have His peace? If you do, are you willing to share His peace with people who don't? I hope you will. We want to put into your hands the New King James Bible to give to a youth, someone between the ages of 10 and 19. The Bible is available for you to give away. To get yours, call 812-867-2418. Let us know how we can pray for you and with you and how we can help you be the person sharing Jesus with someone who really needs the Lord, someone young. Call 812-867-2418. May God bless you as you open His Word. Why not read the entire second chapter of Ephesians and see how it all fits together to challenge us to serve Him? The cross of Christ is a symbol of Christianity, but it's far more than a symbol. It's a reminder of what happened. Jesus Christ was put on that cross. He lived perfectly, being born of a virgin, and then He died on that cross for our sins. He was buried and He rose again on the third day. Listen to Ephesians 2-16. And that He might reconcile them both to God and one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. Yes, that's what Jesus did. He did it for you, He did it for me, and He did it for a lot of youth out there who don't even know who Jesus is or why He came or that He did die for their sins. Will you tell them? Tell one, at least one teenager, and take the gospel to him or to her. Give them a copy of God's Word. We have it for you. Do King James Version to give to someone who needs Jesus. Will you do it? Call 812-867-2418 to get your Bible to give to someone. Some of it in the ages of 10 and 19. God will use you if you will make yourself available to Him to share the gospel with someone young. Will you? Know this. As you go with the gospel, with God's great news, He will use you. So call 812-867-2418. Call now. Every Saturday at 727pm, you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 U.S. 41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. Pray. People. Resources. Action. You. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 633, New King James. When we pray for people, God hears and answers, putting individuals in the connection with one another so that a great deal of things can be accomplished for the glory of the Lord. But after people, resources is the big need. Listen to Nehemiah 2. He was going before the king, and he didn't know exactly how to approach things. Nehemiah 2-1 says, "Now I had never been sad in His presence before. Therefore the king said to me, 'Why has your face sad since you are not sick? This is nothing but sorrow of heart.' So I became dreadfully afraid, and I said to the king, 'May the king live forever. Why should my face not be sad?' When the city, the place of my father's tombs, lie waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Then the king said to me, 'What do you request?' So I prayed to the God of heaven. And I said to the king, 'If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, I ask that you send me to Judah, to the city of my father's tombs, that I may rebuild it.' Then the king said to me, 'The queen also sitting beside him, how long will your journey be? And when will you return?' So it pleased the king to send me, and I set him a time. Furthermore, I said to the king, 'If it pleases the king, let letters be given to me for the governors of the region beyond the river, that they might permit me to pass through till I come to Judah.' And the letter to Aspa, the keeper of the king's forest, that he might give me timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel, which pertains to the temple, for the city wall and for the house that I will occupy. And the king granted them to me according to the good hand of my God upon me. It's a wonderful thing to know that when you ask God for favor, he's going to do some things beyond your fondest expectation. Nehemiah needed to go. He needed to go back and rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. He was heart sick because he had found out what had happened there. And so he went to the king. He had a specific position with the king. He was his cupbearer. That meant that he had to taste anything before the king would devour it. So if it was poison, it would take Nehemiah out and not the king. So he had a very intimate relationship with him. And he went trembling, I'm sure, asking his favor. First, that he could be gone for a while. And secondly, that he could have letters, and especially to the keeper of the king's forest, that he might give him the timber for the beams of the gates of the citadel, which pertained to the temple, for the city wall, for the house that he was going to occupy. And the wonderful thing is, listen to this. And the king granted them to me according to the good hand of my God upon me. Now before he asked the king, listen to what he did beforehand. He went before the Lord, so I prayed to the God of heaven. And so he went on. So I came to Jerusalem, was there three days. Then I rose in the night, eye in a few men with me. I told no one what my God had put on my heart to do in Jerusalem. Nor was any animal with me except the one on which I rode. So I went up in the night, by the valley, and viewed the wall. Then I turned back and entered the valley gate, and so returned. Then I said to them, you see the distress that we are in? How Jerusalem lies in waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come and let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach. And I told them of the hand of my God, which had been good upon me, and also the king's that had spoken to me. So they said, let us rise up and build. Then they set their hands to this good work. When there's a problem, first we need to pray. And then we need to seek people who will help the resources happen, and who will accomplish with the resources what's needed. Workers in God's scheme of things are always, always, always the need of the hour. Remember Jesus said, "Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labors into His harvest." And that's what we're doing now as a ministry. We are praying diligently for God to put the people into the picture that can help things really, really happen. This is a very significant week coming up before us. This is the day that the Lord has made. And in just a few hours, we're going to be having people coming to be trained in peer evangelism and leadership. We call it the Tiger Team Training Leading Youth Day. And it's going to be a wonderful time as people learn how to share their faith in Christ. We're getting ready for Sea of the Pole, which happens God willing next Wednesday morning around the world. It's seven o'clock on campus after campus, and from the flagpole students will be there to pray, to diligently seek God's face, and to ask Him to help them to reach the kids on their campus for Jesus. We're thrilled about all the people that we'll be connecting with in the days ahead. We're hoping that we will have a connection with people from local churches that are believers that really are totally saturated with the Bible, that they will come together and we will be able to work with them to train at least three teenagers for every school in the tri-state. We're looking forward to beginning this tomorrow and then continuing it as those three that are trained from a specific school have a, what we call, a target teen list of 20 others, 20 target teens that they will go after collectively and share the Gospel with them and invite them to come to hear the Gospel, either here at Triple T or in a wonderful event that we'll be putting together. We call them Tiger Team Youth Evangelism Efforts. And as we go with the Gospel, we're trusting the Lord to give us people just like He gave to Nehemiah. Listen to what He said. He said they had listened to Him, and so they responded, "Let us rise up and build." So they set their hands to this good work. Last Saturday night at Triple T, a clip was shown of a film that's coming out soon called 23 Blast. It's about a blind pastor who, as a teenager, had to overcome a disability to play football, teach and serve God. Travis Freeman is now a pastor and college professor, but at age 12, he lost his eyesight due to a severe infection. In recent interview with the Christian Post, Freeman shared that he has no memory of the first days following his blindness but can recall his unshakeable faith. He said, "My parents have always said that when I heard I wouldn't see again, that I looked at them and said, "I believe I will see again, but if I don't, I can't wait to see what God is going to do with this." The role of faith was everything. I could not have made it through all that without faith in God and Christ. Believing in the Gospel, believing God is good, He has a plan and is in control. Today, I have never been depressed or doubted my blindness and faith through this. It was something I accepted. The film is another way of telling my story, he says, and encouraging people. From the pulpit to the classroom, just encouraging people that disabilities and issues can be overcome. We all have disabilities. We all have issues we struggle with and deal with. I want people to know disability does not equal inability. We can overcome by looking outside our current circumstances. Looking to the Gospel and to the cross and the hope of a new creation, we can't allow our circumstances to define what we think about God, but we can allow God to define what we think about our circumstances. That's the message, my story, my life, those realities. I'm looking forward to seeing this movie, 23 Blast, because this 12-year-old was visited by the coach of his high school football team and challenged to play football, to go out for the team. He said, "How can I do that? I'm blind." He said, "Well, there's a couple of things you can do. You can snap the ball and then you can move forward to hit the guy in front of you. You don't have to see to do that." God has things for you to do. You might not be able to see it. It might not be blindness, but you have disabilities. You have handicaps. I do. We all do. But in the middle of it all, God can make us usable and use us to impact our world. I want you to stay tuned as we share from the glorious Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ from the Book of Matthew. I want you to listen to what Matthew has to say when he's talking about you and about life. And about the possibilities that are out there before you. So don't go away, but stay tuned, because the best is yet to come. Listen to God's Word, Matthew 6, 25, and follows New King James Version. "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life. What you will eat, or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not more value than they?" Which of you by worrying can add one qubit to a stature. So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow, they neither toil nor spend. And yet I say to you that even Solomon in all of his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so closes the grass of the field, which the day is and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? "Therefore do not worry, saying what shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or what shall we wear. For after all these things the Gentiles seek, for your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all of these things will be added to you." God wants us to understand that he cares. He cares about every facet and phase of our lives. He cares about the things that we need, even some of the things that we desire that we would like to have. They might not be necessities, but they would be helpful if we would have them available to us. "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Now how does that really true? Let's break it down. "Delight yourself also in the Lord." In other words, be so in tune with Jesus, that you will want what he wants, that you will be what he wants you to be, that you will do what he wants you to do, that you will say what he wants you to say. "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Somebody said, "Well, what if I want the wrong thing?" Well, if you're really delighting yourself in the Lord, he'll change your water. He'll make you want good things, righteous things, not bad things, not destructive things. And if you're praying diligently, God will hear and he will answer your prayers. That's what he does. The Bible goes on and says, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow. For tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Every day has problems that are going to be invading us. We don't know what they're going to be. We don't know where it's going to happen. We don't know what's going to take place. But we have to know that God is indeed in charge no matter what. It's hard to do sometimes because, especially if it's someone near and dear to us that's hurting, and we can't do anything about it except pray and try to get all the help that we can, we feel so helpless. But God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Listen to Philippians 4-19, "And my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." So if you need it, ask God for it and watch him supply it. He is great. He is gracious and he is good. And so watch him work in wonderful ways. Listen to Philippians 4 verses 6 and 7 to King James. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Let's break that down for a moment. Be anxious for nothing. Boy, that's hard, isn't it? It's difficult not to be anxious, not to have anxieties, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God. Go to him thanking him for all that he's already done, what he's doing now, what you anticipate he's going to do in the days ahead. We want to help you reach other people for Jesus. And I hope that you will understand that God has a plan for your life. If you don't know Jesus, right now take a moment to say, "God, I've sinned and I'm sorry, I'm going to turn to you. I'm going to receive the gift of God eternal life. I'm going to receive Jesus into my heart. I'm going to believe in the Lord Jesus, the Christ who died for my sins, who was buried, who rose again. I want that Jesus to be my Savior personally, and I'm willing to serve him to tell others about him. God will make you usable in use for his glory. Call us 812-867-2418, and we'll send you something very, very special, called Life at its very best. Listen to Colossians 4, 2, and 3. Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving. Meanwhile, praying also for us. The God would open to us a door for the Word to speak the mystery of Christ. Will you do that? We want to come where you are and share Jesus with you. Christ through you can change the world.
