Telling The TRUTH
052414 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[MUSIC PLAYING] You're listening to "Telling the Truth," from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dooms. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, who then is Paul, and who is a Paulus, but ministers through whom you believed as the Lord gave to each one. 1 Corinthians 3, 5, to King James Version. People sometimes want to put more pressure on others than they should. If you want to identify with individuals, but God wants us to surrender only to Him. If we do this, if we trust in the Lord totally, completely, and not try to personalize our salvation by the person who shared Jesus with us, we'll be far, far better off. God wants us to understand that we, too, are to share the gospel with people. Who is the one who caused you to understand that you are a sinner, that Jesus died for you, and that you by believing on Him can live forever. That person was used by God to reach you. Thank Him or her. Now, it's your turn to share the gospel with as many people as you possibly can, to let them know that Christ died for our sins, that He was buried, that He rose again on the third day. Do you understand that that's the gospel? That's what God wants us to understand and to share with people. It was Jesus who said, "For God so loved the world "that He gave His enemy gotten the son that her believes "in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. "Share the message." What part are you having in sharing the gospel of the Lord Jesus? Listen to 1 Corinthians 3, 6, New King James Version. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. As the apostle Paul presented this information to the church at Corinth, he was endeavoring to let the people know that God was the one that was responsible for what happened after the planting and the watering. God will give the increase when you and I plant and water the seeds of the gospel. As we sow those seeds, God can make us usable and use us. That's why we endeavor to share with you the necessity of sharing God's ABCs. Admit you have sinned. Believe on Christ. Confess Him publicly. God's plan of salvation never changes. God is consistent. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So becomes our responsibility to plant the gospel, to water the gospel, and to watch God give the increase. The most important part that we can play after we have done the sowing, the watering, is to keep praying. Pray because it all depends on God and work as if it all depends on you and me. God wants us to understand that we are to be His workers, to share His gospel, but we are not to take credit. God is the one who is doing what needs to be done in people coming to know Jesus Christ as personal Savior. So that neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. 1 Corinthians 3, verse 7, New King James Version. Do you understand what is being said here? God wants us to do the planting. He wants us to do the watering. He wants us to sow gospel seeds everywhere, but He is going to be the one to bring that fruit forward. God wants us to be made usable, and then used of Him and by Him. He wants us to number one, pray. Number two, read the word of God. Number three, have another believer that we pray with. And number four, to go with the gospel to people who need Jesus. That's God's plan. What plan are you following? Don't take too much credit. In fact, don't take any credit, but just serve the Lord with what He has entrusted to you, and people will come to Christ personally. It's up to you to share God's good news. Christ died for our sins. He was buried. He rose the third day. By believing on Christ, people can live forever. Share God's Word. Listen, please, to 1 Corinthians 3 8, New King James Version. Now, he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. Do you understand what that is saying? God wants us to know that we can be a part of the furtherance of the gospel when we are the first one to present it to someone, or where we are the one to water what has already been shared. But whatever happens, we are a team, the planter, the water. God wants us to know that He is the one who is going to provide the increase in the hearts and lives of people who will respond to the gospel message. And it becomes our responsibility to serve the Lord effectively by telling people how to get to heaven. You can do it. I can do it. It will take advantage of every opportunity to share Jesus. I'm sure you know someone who doesn't know the Lord. We go to that person and share the gospel with Him or with her. We let them know that they need to admit they have sinned to believe on the Lord Jesus, to confess their sins, and then having done that, they can receive the gift of God eternal life. It's a message that is totally, totally directed by God and you and I can share it with those who need to know. Will you? For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field. You are God's building. First Corinthians 3-9, New King James Version. Let's look at that again. God's fellow workers. You and I can serve the Lord together. The people who put this broadcast together and who make it possible for you to hear the good news of the saving power of the Lord Jesus are fellow workers. Now are you willing to do your part to get the gospel to people who need the Lord? You see, as we put together the team of Christian communicators, God is going to hold you and me responsible not just for what we do or do not do, but for what we could do if we would do what we should do. So, what should you do? What should your part be as a fellow worker? Are you willing to do what God would have you to do in sharing the Lord Jesus and Him crucified, buried and risen again with someone who needs to know how to get to heaven? There is no other way to get there other than by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, but we have to turn to Him from our sins. We have to receive the gift of God eternal life, and then we have to tell people that we believe. Confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. For the heart when believed to righteousness and with the mouth, confession is made to salvation. Are you telling people to do that? Listen to what the Apostle Paul is saying to the church, the congregation at Corinth. According to the grace of God, which was given to me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation and another builds on it, but let each one take heed how he builds on it. 1 Corinthians 3, 10, New King James Version. As you look at this, as you analyze it, you will understand that God puts things together so that there are more teammates to put together the gospel message to share it with others. So God wants you to take inventory, to look at yourself. Where do you fit in God's scheme of things? What part are you to have? Are you to be a part of the furtherance of the gospel? You are to pray, you are to be a sharer, you are to fellowship with other believers, and you are to be a student of the Bible, to let the Word of God speak to your heart so you in turn can share God's message with other people. God's Word is quick and powerful and sharper than a two-edged sword, the Bible says. So are you sharing the good news of the saving power of the Lord Jesus? Are you willing to do that? If you are indeed a believer in Christ, then it becomes your responsibility to share God's good news. Tell people to admit they've sinned, to believe on Christ, to confess him publicly. Tell them how to get to heaven. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 3.11, New King James Version. When you look at this, when you understand that it is Christ Jesus, it is the Lord who is the foundation and we're to put everything we have on that foundation and we're to build on it and share the gospel with people who need the Lord. There are four things I believe God would be pleased for you to do. One, pray, make me usable and use me. Two, read the Word of God. Why don't you just read that whole third chapter of 1 Corinthians and let God speak to your heart. Three, get a prayer partner who is a fellow believer in Christ, someone who really knows the Lord and together, pray for those folk who don't know Christ. And four, share the gospel. Do it together, do it individually. But as you pray, go with God's good news. Let people know how to get to heaven. Let them know that they need to admit they have sinned. Turn to Jesus from their sins, to share their faith in Christ with others once they have believed on him and receive the gift of God eternal life. You can share that message if you will. The question is, will you? If you will, things can happen. Lives can be changed, hearts totally put in tune with God. - Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US 41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. (upbeat music) - One of the wonderful privileges God gives us is his word is available and we can pick it up at any store that sells Bibles, Walmart, Sam's, Target, all kinds of places, including Bible bookstores. I want you to listen please to First Corinthians, chapter two, as Paul begins to speak. Listen, and I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear and in much trembling and my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom but in demonstration of the spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. That's a wonderful thing that we know. God is the one that gives us the privilege of listening to Him. His word is quick and powerful and sharpened in a two-edged sword. God wants us to understand this. Listen to verses six and following. However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages of our glory, which none of the rulers of this age know. For, had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory, but as it is written, I has not seen nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man, except the Spirit of the man which is in Him. Even so, no one knows the things of God, except the Spirit of God. Now, we have received not the Spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches comparing spiritual things with spiritual. For the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to Him, nor can he know them because they are spiritually discerned. That's a wonderful passage of scripture that helps us to understand who God is and how He uses weak people. People who are not necessarily greatly articulate, but God's word is quick and powerful. And as we said earlier, sharpen in a two-edged sword. God has a plan for us to follow. He has something for us to do that no one can do except believers in Christ. And if you are not one, you can become one right now. Here's how. Well, you admit that you have sinned for all have sinned. That's you, that's me. All, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. There is an unrighteous, no not one. All we like sheep have gone astray. We've turned each one to his own way, and the Lord has laid upon him the iniquity, the sin, the short coming of us all. What are we to do about it? To understand that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. It was Jesus who said, for God so loved the world that He gave us only begotten Son, that her believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believes is not condemned, but He that does not believe in the name of the only begotten Son of God is condemned already because He is not believed. So this is the problem that we face, you and me. You're either saved or lost. You are redeemed or condemned, depending on whether or not you know Jesus Christ personally. God wants us to be involved in sharing the gospel and taking a stand. Listen to 1 Corinthians 16, 13 and 14. Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong, let all that you do be done with love. It's because of the love God has given me for people that I come each day before this microphone and share the good news of the saving power of Jesus Christ and were heard across the country daily. Home after home and heart after heart. God wants us to take a stand, but listen then to 2 Corinthians 2, 3 and 4. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangled himself in the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And then Galatians 5-1, stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free and do not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage. God has given us a way out, a way of escape. And how shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation? God has given us the privilege of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the tri-state and way, way beyond over the past 48 plus years. God has been gracious and good and wonderful and we have really watched God work magnificently. But now we're on the brink of a major, major outreach this summer. It's going to be God willing a real summer surge. May I share with you the Tiger Team Key Action Plan? K-E-Y means keep evangelizing youth. 1,000 days of prayer and action began May 13, 2013. And it's to go to February 6, 2016, God willing, TTT's golden anniversary. Please pray for the Tiger Team Key Action Plan to be implemented. First, through fair share. Traveling Tigers training began May 10 and continues at Triple T, June 7 and 14. Tammy and I will be training 16 BMW. That's Bible Missionary Work Training Center students at the Lord's Boot Camp in Merritt Island, Florida, beginning June 18. That happens to be the anniversary of Mary and me. And again, God willing, we'll be going together if the doctor approves her being able to travel. If not, I'll be here with her. But we're hoping and trusting and praying that it will be possible for her to go with us to Florida for us to go together because it will be training. Also, 12 or more preteens ages 10 to 13. And Tammy will begin that training on June 26. The combined Teen Missions International Group of four adult leaders, 16 BMW students, and 12 preteens plan to join the Triple T staff. Volunteers and Traveling Tigers as soon as possible to arrive after being commissioned at Boot Camp Saturday evening, July 5 in Florida. Fair share 2014 is scheduled for July 7 through August 9. Fair share teams will present the gospel in as many counties as possible during the five week period. Last summer, we were privileged to go to 12 counties and hopefully we'll be able to increase that number and go to more counties this summer as the Lord opens the doors. Advanced training in leadership and peer evangelism will be presented each morning. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for three weeks, BMW students and other college, age and up adult youth workers can attend Youth Evangelism Academy being instructed in the nine faith factors and practical applications. Please pray for people. Pray for them to be involved. Pray for people, resources, action, and you. Ask God what part you can have or should have in the Tiger Team key action plan. Following fair share, evangelistic youth efforts will continue as school starts in mid-August. A nine month mission trip will allow youth trained in leadership and peer evangelism to impact the campus they attend. This whole idea came from Friends of Hours in Pennsylvania. And for the last couple of years, they have put together what they call a nine month mission trip. They don't have to travel anyplace. They simply go to school and they share the gospel, person to person, individual to individual. They're able to carry a Bible on top of their books. They're able to share the good news and the saving power of Jesus. They will serve the faculty, the staff, the parents, and the students and share the gospel with as many as possible one on one, inviting each to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Partnering with Bible believing local church youth groups and ministries follows Triple T's three imperatives. Church connected, Bible believing, and aggressively evangelistic. That's why we go to the county fairs. That's why we do what we do, putting together what we call tiger team impact, youth evangelism efforts in community after community. And God has been very gracious to let us reach many, many people for Christ. Last year, we were privileged to connect with people from one third of the 93 counties, 31 of them. This year, our goal is to connect with people from at least 62 of the counties, which will be two thirds. But we need people, people who will pray, people who will provide resources, people who will take action, we need you. So pray about your involvement. Stay tuned and we'll tell you how you can be a part of the tiger team impact key action plan. We're looking for Christian leaders within 100 miles of Triple T. Are you one? We're looking for one or more people in each of the 93 counties who care about teenagers. The objective is to find people in each county who will help connect us with pastors and youth workers, full-time, part-time, and volunteer who will pray about the possibility of partnering together to reach youth ages 10 to 19 in their county for Christ. Thank you for considering this. And God bless you as you do. We want to expand the ministry, partnering in youth evangelism with local Bible-believing churches and Christian ministries further Triple T's mission. And then, as we do this, what we want to do is to let you know that the Triple T team is available to present the key action plan concept at local church services, endeavoring to motivate the family of believers to pray. The 30-acre campus of Triple T's Christian Communication Center is less than 30 miles from the medium population center of the United States, according to the 2010 census. The strategic location, 13,000 US Highway 41 North at Boonville, New Harmony Road, midway between Evansville Regional Airport and I-64, is less than three hours from St. Louis and Nashville, Louisville, and only four hours from Cincinnati and Indianapolis. It's within a day's drive of 70% of the US population. Over 400,000 of America's 41 million 10 to 19-year-olds live in 100 miles of Triple T. As God provides resources through Tiger teammates, investing time, talent, and treasure. The Tiger Team Key Action Plan can be put into effect and build toward reaching youth with the gospel in each of these 93 tri-state counties, campus by campus, community by community. Ideally, three evangelistic youth efforts will be pursued in each community annually-- fall and spring during the school year and summer fair share. If we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves, but they measuring themselves by themselves and comparing themselves among themselves are not wise. We, however, will not boast beyond measure, but within the limits of this sphere, which got appointed us. A sphere which especially includes you. For we are not extending ourselves beyond our sphere, thus not reaching you. For it was to you that we came with the gospel of Christ, not boasting in things beyond measure, that is in other men's labors, but having hope that as your faith is increased, we shall be greatly enlarged by you in our sphere to preach the gospel in the regions beyond you and not to boast in another man's sphere of accomplishment. But he who glories let him glory in the Lord. For not he who commends himself as approved, but whom the Lord commends. That's 2 Corinthians 10 verses 12 through 18, New King James Version. The key action plan is available to Bible believing local church pastors and youth workers willing to partner in youth evangelism with triple T. Each K-E-Y that's keep evangelizing youth package starts a tiger team impact evangelistic youth effort in a community. Opportunities for praying and partnering in youth evangelism, leading youth scholarships, providing peer evangelism training for youth ages 10 to 19. Project proclaimed New King James Bible packets to be offered one-on-one to target teens by each trained tiger with an invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. K-E-Y youth worker coach training and resources and K-E-Y notes, that is key notes, ideas, information, inspiration, and items. All of this is available. Prayer changes things in people. And the greatest need facing triple T Christian youth ministries is believers in Christ following Jesus' request. The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labors are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labors into His harvest. Every tiger team mate, encourager, provides a $20 leading a scholarship to train another 10 to 19 year old in peer evangelism and leadership. These tiger team youth, together with adult youth worker coaches, implement tiger team impact youth evangelism efforts on or near secondary schools in their communities to help claim their counties for Christ. So we need your help. We need your involvement. We need you to connect with us. So call us. Erie Code 812-867-2418, let me repeat. Erie Code 812-867-2418.
