[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dumes. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Keep everlastingly at it. Don't stop. Don't quit. Don't even take too many deep breaths." Listen to Psalm 119 verse 32, New King James Version. "I will run the course of your commandments, for you shall enlarge my heart." God is telling us He is available to us, but we have to make ourselves available to Him. How do we do this? First of all, by reading the Word of God. Secondly, by praying. Thirdly, by sharing our faith in Christ with people who are already believers so that together we can share the gospel with those who don't yet know Him. God will help us to keep on keeping on if we will avail ourselves of every opportunity that God provides for us to share His good news. Hundreds of copies of God's ABCs have been sent to listeners, just like you. And they are sharing them one-on-one with people with whom they come in contact. What about you? Are you willing to share God's glorious gospel? The plan of salvation with people who need the Lord? We would like very much for you to call 812-867-248. We will put into your hands copies of God's plan of salvation. Call 812-867-2418. Listen to Psalm 119 verse 33, New King James. "Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes, and I shall keep it to the end." Are you willing to make that promise to God? I hope you will. You can, if you have the desire in your heart to do what God would have you to do. Listen again. "Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes, and I shall keep it to the end." That means that no matter what comes your way, no matter what problems you are facing, no matter what circumstances are really out there endeavoring to mess you up, just put your faith totally in the Lord and be willing to share your faith in Him with others. Pray, read God's Word, get a prayer partner, and together determine to go with the gospel to people who need the Lord. There are people out there, people that you could reach. I can't because I'm not where you are, but you can because you are there. And if you will pray diligently and deliberately and directly for people who need Jesus, you can share His good news with those who need Him. We're thrilled about what God is doing in the hearts and lives of people like you. And we ask you to call 812-867-2418. 812-867-2418. We'll send you God's ABCs. "Give me the understanding, and I shall keep your law indeed. I shall observe it with my whole heart." Can you say that? Will you say that? Will you pray and ask God to make you usable and to use you just exactly as has been shared with you from some 119, verse 34, New King James? God is a plan for you. He has people that you can reach for His glory, if you will. You never know what's going to happen, where or when. Today, I had to go to a visitation at a funeral home. Two different families, two different circumstances. One a man in his 80s, the other a girl of 14. Both of them are lifeless, but if they have trusted Jesus, they are living forever. Go with the Gospel while you can to people who need the Lord while they're alive. Call 812-867-2418. We'll send you God's ABCs. Romans 3 23, Romans 6 23, John 3 16, Romans 10 9 and 10. The cover is a reproduction of our billboard. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Embedded in the longest Psalm 119 is this very special treatise from God. Your word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. That's what the Psalmist wrote. That's what you and I should endeavor to do for His glory. Listen to Psalm 119, verse 35. Make me walk in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it. Can you say that honestly? Will you say that deliberately? There are people out there with whom you can cost paths. Who need Jesus? Pray with another believer, read God's word together, and then endeavor to go with the gospel and share Jesus and His way to heaven with people who need the Lord. God's ABCs, Romans 3 23, Romans 6 23, John 3 16, Romans 10 9 and 10, are in printed form available to you to give to people who need Jesus. You can tell them how to get to heaven. I call it a ticket to heaven when I give them to people. Call 812-867-2418. That's 812-867-2418. Let God make you usable and use you. Listen to Joshua 1 8, New King James Version. This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Do you want to be successful? The way to be most successful is to multiply your ministry by sharing God's glorious gospel with people who need the Lord. Who do you know who doesn't know Him? Do you have a Christian believer that you can pray with and together? Can you plan the strategy to get the gospel to people? Maybe each of you different times or maybe to gather zeroing in one or two? God can help you. He can lead you, He can direct you, He can guide you if you are willing to serve Him this way. Read the entire first chapter of Joshua and watch God really speak to your heart. Meanwhile, we have God's ABCs for you. We want to send them to you so you can give them to people. They're in printed form, they're available, and they're free. To get yours, call 812-867-2418 and determine who needs to go to heaven and who you will help go. Will you do that? God bless you as you call 812-867-2418. Somebody wants you to tell them about Jesus. Question, have you believed? Are you a believer in Christ personally? Are you excited about Him? Are you sharing your faith in Him with others who are not yet believers? Listen to Joshua chapter 1 verse 9, New King James Version. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid nor be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Where are you going to go today? Are you going to follow God's direction moving in the way He wants you to go and to places He wants you to move? I hope you will prayerfully consider sharing the plan of salvation with someone today. We've put together God's ABCs and literally hundreds of them have been sent out to listeners of this broadcast. Have you ordered yours yet? Are you willing to go with the Gospel to people who need the Lord? Prayerfully consider calling 812-867-2418 and pray as you call for God to lead you. Ericot 812-867-2418. And please pray for everything that we are endeavoring to do to help you get the Gospel to people. Will you? I hope you will. We want to pray with you and for you. So when you call, let us have your prayer requests and we will pray directly for you. Listen to this message from God's Word. John 1833, New King James Version. These things I have spoken to you that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world. Let me share with you that we don't need to get perplexed and been out of shape because people are messing up. That's been happening for a long, long time. And it's happening more today than it has for quite some time. And it will continue until Jesus returns or until you and I do what we are supposed to do. So what are we supposed to do? To share our faith in Jesus Christ with people who need to know Him. That's why we've put together God's ABCs. They're available to you. We want you to have them so you can use them prayerfully and get them to people who need the Lord. You can do some things that I can't do where you are because I'm not there. But plant where you are, do something and go with the Gospel. 812-867-2418. And tell us how many copies of God's ABCs you will prayerfully present to people who need to know Him. That number 812-867-2418. Call now and know you can make a difference eternal. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m. You are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T. 13,000 U.S. 41 north at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of none, Moses' assistant saying, "Moses, my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them, the children of Israel. Every place that the soul of your foot shall tread upon, I have given you, as I said to Moses." Just a week ago today, I had the awesome opportunity and privilege of sharing at a memorial service for my friend of 48 years, John DeSanto, called Pastor John by many, many people because he had been a pastor in so many places to so many folk across his years of ministry. John's parents came over from Italy as immigrants and John was born in Little Italy in Philadelphia, the youngest of seven brothers and one sister. John and I met on the telephone when we were starting Triple T 48 plus years ago. And when we talked, he said, "I want to meet you personally," and we talked about the fact that I was going to be speaking at the First Baptist Church of Carmi, Illinois on a weeknight, and he said, "I'll be there." So we invited himself and we sat at the table together and he said, "I'm really checking you out because I'm doing a thing Labor Day weekend that we call Commitment Camp. I'm looking for a speaker. I need somebody who's evangelistic and I've come tonight to hear you because you may be that person." I said, "Okay, I'll pray about it. Trust the Lord." And while we were eating dinner, John looked at me and he said, "You are to be the speaker at Commitment Camp." I said, "John, you haven't even heard me." He said, "That's okay. God spoke to my heart and he let me know that you are the one." So let's work together. Let's pray together and let's watch God do wonderful things between now and the time summer comes. Well, John was not one to wait and so he started bringing kids to our living room before we even had enough to go down to the basement from Vincennes, Indiana driving those 30-some miles down. And one Saturday we challenged the people that we should have a hundred and when we hit a hundred we would move downstairs to the basement. And so John began to bring more people from Vincennes, a couple of car loads and people came from across Evansville and some other places. And we had a goal that in 13 weeks we would hit a hundred and we hit that number far beyond that moment, like about six weeks rather than 13. And then John said, "I want you to come to Vincennes. I want to put together a rally at Clark Junior High School. I want it to be an evangelistic rally. I want you to be the speaker. I want you to get some people to sing. Bring some singers." And so I said, "Okay, I don't know any, but I'll check with some people." So I checked with some people who went to a church in town called Bethel. And Steve Swambach was a teenager. And there was another teenager there whose name was Steve, Steve Perry, and another Steve. And then there was Dave Swambach. And so we put together this quartet of these four and we called them the Stiva Fores. Although one of them's name was Dave, not Steve. And so they were the musicians for our meeting at Clark Junior High School. And our goal was that we would see a thousand people attend and a hundred respond to the invitation. Well, it happened. And while we were at that meeting, my wife Mary, who was expecting, was spending the evening with Dr. Fred Spencer, who had brought over 5,000 kids into the world. He delivered that many babies and he volunteered to be our person who would deliver Mary's baby, our child. And so she stayed there that night while we had the meeting. And then on the 27th of July, and that was earlier in July, James Lawson Dooms was born. Mary told the doctor she was going to have a boy. He said, "Mary, don't be so sure." She said, "God has told me in my heart. It's going to be a boy. It'll be a boy." And so sure enough, the boy is sitting across from me right now. He's doing the engineering of this broadcast. So we had our event, Labor Day weekend. And it was special and a lot of kids came and many of them met the Lord Jesus Christ personally. Then I was mowing the lawn. That was before I had so many allergies. Now I can't do that. But as I was going around the house, each time I would go around, I would say, "Lord, open the door. I don't have any open doors right now. I don't have any place to speak." "Lord, if you want me to serve you and to speak for you and to share the gospel, open the door." As I came around by the kitchen window, Mary said, "You've got a call. John DeScento is on the phone from Vincennes." So I hopped off the lawn and went inside, and John said, "George, how soon did he get the Vincennes?" I said, "What's up?" He said, "Well, Archie Laterno, the industrialist, was coming to speak at a banquet tonight. We've got the tickets sold, and the people are coming in, and there's no speaker because he blew an engine over Little Rock Arc and saw in his airplane. And we've got to have a speaker how soon did he get up here and pinch it for Archie Laterno." I said, "As soon as I can change clothes, I'll be there." And so I drove the Vincennes and had the opportunity of sharing that night. See, God had prepared me a long time before that. Although I hadn't yet had the privilege of meeting Mr. Laterno, I had read his book, "Mover of Men and Mountains," and I had been a friend of his former attorney, Cliff Brannon. And so I learned a lot of stories about Mr. Laterno. I knew his outstanding Christian testimony, so I was able to share something that evening along with presenting the gospel. I made a front page of the Vincent Sun commercial the next day, and then came Thanksgiving weekend. And John said, "Let's put together a changing world conference at Triple T in the basement." And so we did. And we had a trio that had just come back from South America. We had Pete De Nell to Peterson, who had just returned for Furlough from Paris, France. And it was indeed a wonderful, wonderful weekend. And some of the people that came to know the Lord, that weekend, are still serving Him in all kinds of positions and all kinds of situations. And remember, that was 1966. Well, John and I continued to work together in all kinds of ways across the years and across the miles. And when Mary was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, inoperable, John became so compassionate as he would come down and pray with us. And he would always go over and put a hand on Mary and just pray diligently for God's will to be done and for Him to spare her life as long as possible to give her ministry. And so we watched it work because, you see, John's wife Judy had died fairly recently of cancer, and we had been friends as couples, and our children had met each other too. Well, here was my privilege to share some stories about John De Santo, my friend of 48 years. His nephew was the keynote speaker at the memorial service, and this is what he said, paraphrasing from the book of Joshua, chapter 1. He said, "John De Santo, my servant, is dead. Now therefore, arise and go." He was especially speaking to Danny. Danny is the heir apparent of the ministry that John started, called Higher Bound, Junior High Ministries. And Danny is Irish, and his name is Pearson. And over Christmas holidays, he went to Ireland for the first time. And so Danny was the last one to share that day about how the legacy can go on and how we can continue to go in the direction God wants us to go. So again, as we look at Joshua chapter 1, let's understand that God has a place for us to serve Him. He tells us to go, and then He says, "Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance, the land which I swore to their fathers to give them." Then as I shared a while ago, "Only be strong and very courageous that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses, my servant, commanded you, do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go." This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Stay tuned because we have more to share that I believe will help you be all that God wants you to be to serve Him efficiently and effectively. So don't go away. Listen to Joshua 1-9 again. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid nor be dismayed. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. As we moved toward Evansville, God laid it on my heart to go over to Camp Reveal and to claim the property that is now called Triple T. I read the entire first chapter of Joshua as I walked around and around Old Bethel. I had prayed there with the founder of Camp Reveal, Dr. Ernest. I revealed the founder of the Anzor Rescue Mission years before, and I believed that God was going to do something special. And I continue to read, and this is what the rest of these verses say are many of them. Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people saying pass through the camp and command the people saying, provide provision for yourselves for within three days you will cross over this Jordan to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess. In precisely three days after I prayed that prayer and read that scripture out loud. In a phone conversation we were given the down payment for the house and two and a third acres. Taking an option on the surrounding acreage saying if somebody else offers to buy it, give us first chance, we don't have any more money, we don't have any money, we're going to pray it in and see what God does. And the Lord held that land and now triple T has 30 acres on the busy intersection of U.S. 41 at Booneville, New Harmony Road. Every day thousands and thousands and thousands of vehicles pass by. All the students and the faculty and the staff of North junior high and high school go by every day twice a day. That school was in Evansville and it moved out one mile north of us on Highway 41. And so it has been a wonderful time to watch the Lord work and to work with people like John DeSanto and so many others that have come alongside that have been prayer partners and sharing with us all the things that God would have us to do. And right now we are on the brink of some tremendous breakthroughs. We're looking forward to seeing what God's going to do in the days ahead. We again have been privileged to share the Gospel in every way, television, radio, video, personal appearances and the billboards that are out, about 15 of them going from place to place. And now we're praying for a digital sign right at our property on Highway 41 that can give a message consistently about the Gospel and what's going on here at Triple T Saturday by Saturday. Again, every single Saturday at 727, the doors open as they will God willing again tonight. And tonight we'll have some of the world's greatest teenagers and preteens join us. It's going to be a night to remember, it's going to be a night to really surge forward. And to watch God work in the hearts and lives of these people who bring the kids, the people who are behind the scenes helping things happen, and some of the world's greatest teenagers and preteens themselves. The first time anybody comes to Triple T, they receive a copy of the New King James Version Holy Bible. It has a picture of our billboard on the front. On the inside flap is where to find it in the Bible, inside the cover. The back has a picture of the building with a map on how to get here. 727 p.m. Every Saturday is when it begins. Triple T is located 4 miles north of the airport, 4 miles south of I-64. 13,000 U.S. Highway 41 north at Booneville or Harmony Road. And so we're looking forward to having you and others join us. One week from tonight we're saluting graduates, eighth grade graduates and high school graduates. Each one will receive a copy of God's promises for the graduate. These books are chock full of scriptures that are helpful hints for how to live successfully. And we're excited about that happening. It's also going to be free pizza one week from tonight for all those who come and every pastor and youth worker who comes. Every adult leader who brings somebody will be given a copy of the book by Dave Breeze, Discover Your Destiny. We're thrilled because of what God has done and is doing. But we need your prayers and your support. If you will be a Tiger teammate by giving $20 or by investing at least one hour of your time to help behind the scenes, you'll be helping us reach a vision that is to get the Gospel to everyone before turning 20. Will you pray? Will you give? Christ through you can change more. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m. you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US 41 North at Booneville near Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org.
