If the axe is dull and one does not sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength. But wisdom brings success. In other words, if you're going to use an axe, check it out first. Is it sharp? Otherwise, you're going to have to strain your muscles, exert more energy. Using what you have, including wisdom, is going to be the answer to lots of your problems, a solution to multiple situations. What do you have that you can use for God? Are you taking care of the one body he's entrusted to you? Are you keeping your mind fresh? Are you keeping your soul totally tuned in with God by reading his word, by talking with him, by sharing him with others who need to know him? God can use you if you are willing to be made usable and used by him. So, present everything you have to the Lord and watch him do fantastic things as you are available to him. Pray with other believers. Pray for those who are not yet believers. Read the word of God and then take the word of God to people who need to know him, need to know Jesus. Tell them how they can get to heaven by admitting they have sinned, by turning to Jesus from their sins, by believing on the Lord Jesus, telling others how to believe.
