[music] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President, George Dooms. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. God's Word is quick and powerful and sharpened in a two-edged sword. Listen to Amos 514, New King James. Seek good and not evil, that you may live. So the Lord God of hosts will be with you as you have spoken. When you ask God for something special, know that He wants you to seek good always and never ever to seek evil. Evil lurks all around us, all the time under every circumstance, but God is good. God is great, and God wants us to seek good, to seek Him. The result is that you may live. So the Lord God of hosts will be with you. God promises us life that lasts forever when we admit that we have sinned, when we turned to Jesus from our sins, when we believe in the Lord Jesus and are willing to tell other people about Him. You see, God will be with you if you are willing to put Him in first place. So seek good and not evil, go with the gospel to people who need the Lord. Pray, read the Word of God, do what the Word of God says to do, fellowship and harmony with other believers in Christ, and together tell people Jesus came to save sinners. Listen to Zepania 2-3, New King James Version. Seek the Lord all you make of the earth who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of the Lord's anger. Yes, God has a plan for you. He has a procedure for you to follow, seek Him. All of His goodness is available to you, and we need to uphold His justice. There is injustice happening all around us, all over the world, and especially right there where you live. So seek righteousness, seek humility. God's Word says to humble ourselves. Are you willing to do that? Pray this prayer, "God, make me usable and use me to glorify you." Lift Jesus high. He said, "And I, if I be lifted up, will draw all men unto me." Lift up the cross of Christ wherever you are, and tell people that Christ died for our sins, that He was buried, that He rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures. Let people know that God loves them. Jesus died for them. And what we need to do now is to believe and to share our faith in Him with folk who need Him. Will you do that? Pray. Read God's Word and go with the Gospel. Pray with other believers, determining to tell people how to get to heaven. Old Testament prophecies are amazing to fathom. I want you to listen, if you will, to Malachi 3-1, New King James Version. "Behold, I send my messenger, and He will prepare the way before me, and the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to His temple, even the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming," says the Lord of hosts. God knows what's happening. He knows in advance who is going to do what, when, where, and why, because He prepares the way and the Scriptures unfold the very essence of who God is. Jesus Christ, Son of God, was predicted way before He was born of a virgin, lived perfectly, shared God's Word, and then went to the cross and died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Jesus loves you. He is Lord, but is He your Lord? Have you admitted you have sinned? Have you believed on Christ? Have you told people you believe? Are you praying with other believers? And are you reading the Word of God together? And are you going with the Gospel? Are you praying for the folk who need Jesus? By name, specifically, individually? Are you concerned about folk who don't know the Lord but who could, if someone would tell them how to get to heaven? Will you be that one? An extremely significant Scripture is Matthew 633, New King James Version. Listen. "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." We put God in first place. When we seek Him first and when we understand that His righteousness will prevail, we know that our righteousness is like filthy rags, but His breastplate of righteousness is available to us, and we need to put it on. We need to seek God's righteousness and then know when we do, everything we need will be added to us. Things, T-H-I-N-G-S. God will not withhold anything from those who walk uprightly, the Bible says. God wants you and me to fellowship with Him in concert with other believers. He wants us to read the Word of God. He wants us to believe the Word of God and to share the Word of God with people who don't know Him, whom to know right is life eternal. As you look down deep in your heart, do you have a compassion for the people who are lost, who could be saved if someone would tell them how? Would you be that someone? Let them know that all have sinned and come short of God's glory. To believe on Christ will provide for them the gift of God eternal life. Ask, and it will be given to you, seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be open to you for everyone who asks, receives, and who seeks, finds, and to Him who knocks, it will be opened. Matthew 7, 7, and 8, New King James Version. God wants us to ask, and to seek, and to knock. Are you willing to do that? Ask God, give Him the opportunity to listen to the desires of your heart. Ask Him to make you usable and use you. Seek His will in every area of your life. Seek His desire for you and keep knocking on His door, the door of His heart. And then ask other people if they will believe on the Lord Jesus. Seek other people who don't know the Lord, but could if someone would tell them how. And knock on their hearts doors, and watch God make you usable and use you. This ASK formula that Jesus shares is so important. It is really imperative that we follow His divine design wherever we go. So ask, and seek, and knock, and watch God work wonderfully. Let me repeat, ask, seek, knock, and it will be opened to you. Jesus asks, what do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? What's your answer to that question? Well, Jesus went on to respond, listen. And if he should find it, assuredly I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. That's Matthew 18, 12, 13, New King James. Evangis D.L. Moody and singer Ira Sanki were on a train in England, and Mr. Sanki began to put some words on paper. There were ninety-nine that safely lay in the shelter of the fold, but one was out on the hills away. Far off. What about your friends? What about the people in your family? Are they lost? Are you seeking them? Are you going after them? Go after those lost sheep, those people for whom you care, for whom you are concerned, and help them know the truth. Jesus saves. Read the Word of God, heed the Word of God, pray with other believers, and don't hesitate, but go look for the lost sheep and tell them how they can come to God's fold forever. Will you do that? If you will, God will make you a soul winner and a sheep herder. Some of the things that Jesus said were of such importance that they were repeated almost verbatim from one book of the New Testament to another. Listen to Luke 11, 9, and 10, New King James. And I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you, seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be open to you. Sound familiar? Keep listening. For everyone who asks, receives, and he who seeks, finds, and to him who knocks, it will be opened. Those words, almost identically presented in Matthew, are repeated here in Luke. So God wants us to ask, he wants us to seek, he wants us to knock consistently, and he wants us to do it compassionately. First on Heaven's Door. Ask God and then seek God's will for the people who don't know him and knock on his door and ask him to make you usable and use you to reach them. And then go knock on the doors of the hearts of the people who don't know the Lord. Ask them to receive God's gift. Seek them wherever they are and then knock on their hearts door with the gospel being shared and watched God make you usable and use you to impact another life one at a time. It's really up to you. Will you do the asking and the seeking and the knocking? Will you do it today? Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m. you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T. 13,000 US-41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. [music] Are you seeking God's will? What are you seeking? He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, but trouble will come to him who seeks evil. Seek the right thing. Seek God. Seek His perfect will. What I just shared with you was Proverbs 11-27. Listen now to Proverbs 14-6. A scoffer seeks wisdom and does not find it, but knowledge is easy to him who understands. In Proverbs 25-27, it is not good to eat much honey, so to seek one's own glory is not glory. The Bible hangs together in all those verses that I've shared with you are from the New King James Version, as are those seven that you heard just before this little time together to pull it all together for you. So make sure you're seeking the right thing under the right circumstance, doing the right thing. Follow Psalm 48. I delight to do your will, oh my God, and your law is within my heart. When you say that, I hope you can. If you can't, simply ask God to give you the guidance and the direction that He will provide so that you can put this into effect. Let me share it again. I delight to do your will, oh my God, and your law is within my heart. That means that you're memorizing Scripture. That means that you have committed to heart God's Word. Follow Jesus' instructions in his example. Matthew 6, 9 and 10, who King James says, "In this manner therefore pray, our Father in Heaven, how would be your name? Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Listen to Matthew 26, 29 and 42. He went a little farther and fell on his face and prayed, saying, "Oh my Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me. Nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will." Again, a second time he went away and prayed, saying, "Oh my Father, if this cup cannot pass away from me unless I drink it, your will be done." Jesus prayed that just before he was taken to the trial, betrayed by Judas, and then scourged. Totally, totally mutilated. It had to drag his cross up Calvary's Hill. And there Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. He was buried and he rose again, and he was asking God to show him if this was his will. He was willing to do it. Are you willing to live for Christ, to die for Christ? Are you willing to share Christ with other people? Listen to what Jesus said, recorded in John 6, 38 and 40, New King James Version. For I have come down from heaven not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes on him may have everlasting life. Let's stop there. Have you believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, turning to him from your sins? Are you willing to tell other people that you are a believer, that Jesus Christ is your redeemer, your Savior? Are you committed to him? Follow the examples of others who have committed themselves to Christ. Listen to Philippians 3, 17. Again, New King James. Brethren, join in following my example and note those who so walk as you have us for a pattern. That was the apostle Paul pinning those words and sharing them with the church at Philippi, with those new believers in Christ. What is God's will? One to know him. How? To believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and go and pray to me, and I will listen to you, and you will seek me and find me when you search for me with all of your heart. A laxie-daisical attitude toward the Lord is not going to work. It's not going to be sufficient. It will never suffice to just play games with God. What happens is when we get honest with ourselves and say, "God, I've sinned, I've messed up, and I really, really can't do it without you." And so I want to be what you want me to be. I want to live the way you want me to live. I'm willing to do what you want me to do, when and where and how it would please you the most. Every morning I have the privilege of talking to the Lord, and every morning I redecate my life to Christ. On the basis of Romans 12, 1 and 2, and following, I want to share with you those two verses. They're special verses. They're life-changing, life-altering verses if you will hear them and heed them and put them into effect in your life. I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that you present your bodies, a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. That's Romans 12, 1 and 2. Beseech you means beg you, plead with you. Brethren means believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. The mercies of God got in His infinite, matchless mercy that saw fit to send His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to be born of a virgin, to live perfectly, and then to die for our sins, to be buried, and to rise again. And what He wants us to do is to present our bodies, a living sacrifice. He doesn't want us to die. He wants us to live. He wants us to live for Him and for His glory. And He wants us to have our bodies as a holy, acceptable sacrifice to God. That means that we're going to be righteous, not our own righteousness, because that doesn't work. We're to put on the righteousness of God. And that is the most reasonable thing in a whole wide world we can possibly do according to what the Bible says here in Romans 12, 1 and 2. And then it goes on and says, "Don't go along with the crowd. Don't be conformed to this world. Don't do what others do. There's a lot of crud and corruption out there. There's a lot of wickedness. But be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Think right, and you'll do right, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. What is God's perfect will? That none should perish, but that all should come through repentance. And so becomes our prerogative, becomes our responsibility, becomes our opportunity to get the gospel to people as often as we can, as effectively as we can, if we are truly believers in the Lord Jesus. Now make certain that you have admitted you have sinned. Make certain that you have believed in the Lord Jesus personally. Make certain that you have received the gift of God eternal life. Share him with your world. Listen to Acts 24, 14, 15, 16, New King James Version. Then he said, "The God of our fathers has chosen you, that you should know his will, and see the just one, and bear the voice of his mouth. For you will be his witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. And now, what are you waiting for? Are you waiting? Are you ready now to tell somebody about Christ? That's why I'm here to tell you about him. And if you don't know him, you can know him. If you do know him, tell other people about him. It becomes a great joy, a great opportunity, a series of privileges that God grants to every one of us when we get ourselves in tune with him. When Mary and I were dating, we took, as our life verse, Romans 8, 28. And we know that all things work together for good, to them who love God, to those who are the called according to his purpose. I believe it's his purpose for us to connect today. That's why I'm speaking to you. That's why you're listening to me. God has a perfect plan for your life. He wants you to seek his will. If you'll stay tuned, we're going to tell you how you can get to heaven. I'm going to give you some more information about seeking and knowing and finding and accomplishing God's will for you as a person. I'm going to let you know how to get to heaven. Every place we go, I give a copy of what we call God's ABCs. Admit you sin, believe on Christ, confess Him publicly. It has the Scriptures, all from New King James, all from the New Testament, Romans 3 23, Romans 6 23, John 3 16, Romans 10 9 and 10. That's also the wraparound of the New King James Bible that we offer to people and that we give again and again and again. We just received a shipment of a thousand more Bibles and we've got the covers ready to put on them now as soon as we have volunteers to come and make that happen. We want you to know that God has a plan for your life. Mary and I have continued to serve the Lord for all of our lifetime since we were in high school and we're continuing to share the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with everybody we can, wherever we go. And especially using media, radio, printed page, billboards, anything that we possibly can. So please stay tuned. You're going to learn the specific way that you can make sure you know you as an individual are headed for heaven. Seek God's World is the second faith factor, but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. God has divine design for your life. It begins with a personal relationship with the Son of God, God the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. First, admit you are a sinner. Be willing to turn to Jesus who died for you, who was buried and who rose again on the third day to forgive your sins and to give you eternal life. God's sacrificial gift to you. What must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise as some count slackness, but as long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. That includes you. Remember, Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Jesus also said, "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already because he is not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Are you ready and willing to believe on the Lord Jesus now? Will you ask Him to forgive you personally? Will you share your newfound faith in Him with friends, family and classmates? Pray. Heavenly Father, I am a sinner. I am sorry. I believe that Jesus died for my sins. I believe you raised Him from the dead. I turn to Him to forgive me and to give me eternal life. I thank you for saving me today. I will tell others about Jesus. In Jesus' name, amen. If you prayed that prayer, will you contact us? Right to us. My name is George Dooms.
