Telling The TRUTH
030814 Telling The Truth 28 Minute Program
[MUSIC PLAYING] You're listening to "Telling the Truth" from Triple T. Christian Youth Ministries, "Telling the Truth to and Through Teenagers." Here is Triple T. Founder and President George Dooms. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus taught us a lot about prayer. Listen, please, to Matthew chapter 6, verse 6. But you, when you pray, go into your room and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Isn't that a wonderful promise? If you know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you have the privilege of prayer. Prayer is powerful, changes things, changes people. Make sure that you are a believer, that you have been born again. Have you admitted you are a sinner? Have you believed in the Lord Jesus? Have you confessed Him publicly? And God wants you to share your faith in Him with others who don't know Him. There are people out there who need the Lord. Get a prayer partner, someone that you can pray with. First, go to your closet, your room, your private place. And after that, then get someone to pray with you for the people who need the Lord. Pray for those who are hurting, those who need help from God, and then go with the gospel. Take God's ABCs to people everywhere and share God's good news. Call 812-867-2418, and we will send you yours to give to people who need Him. We're to pray without ceasing consistently and constantly. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do, for they think they will be heard for their many words. Therefore, do not be like them, for your father knows the things you have need of before you ask of Him. That's Matthew 6, verses seven and eight, New King James. God loves you, Jesus died for you, and He wants you to talk with Him. We should always pray to our Father and always end our prayers in Jesus' name. Give glory to the Lord and exalt Jesus Christ, God's Son, Son of God. And know that when you pray, believe in advance that you are going to get what you're asking for. If it is pleasing with God. But before you call, he will answer. He knows what you have need of. People need the Lord. If you know Him, tell somebody about Him. We are thrilled about the fact that so many people have been taking God's ABCs and giving them one-on-one to folk who don't know Jesus, but who could know Him if someone would tell them how. To get yours, call 812-867-2418. That's 812-867-2418. Just let us know how many ABCs you can prayerfully use. May God bless you, get a prayer partner, and then go and share the gospel. Jesus taught us how to pray. We call it the Lord's Prayer. It's really the model prayer. Listen to Matthew 6, 9, New King James Version. In this manner, therefore pray, our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Our Father in heaven, the creator of the universe, the God of everything, of all people everywhere, of all time, wants you to pray to Him. And Jesus told us how to do it. Pray our Father in heaven. Understand His holiness and go before Him with a humble attitude, thanking Him for all He has already done in Jesus' name, and then make your petitions known. Make your requests known. Pray for people who need the Lord. People who don't know Jesus. Get someone to pray with you, and then go with the gospel. Take God's ABCs. Tell people to admit they have sinned, to believe on the Lord Jesus, to confess Him publicly. We have these in printed form for you, all scripture. They are free. All you have to do is call us. We will get them to you right away so you can get them distributed one-on-one to people who need Him, whom to know right is life eternal. Call 812-867-2418. That's area code 812-867-2418. And tell us how many copies of God's ABCs you are willing to give to people who need Jesus. In the model prayer, Jesus taught us to say, "Your kingdom come. "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." We know that in heaven everything is perfect. God wants us to pray for better things where we live on planet earth. God has a plan for you and for other people, and He wants you to connect with those who need the Lord. Those who know Him can pray with you, and together you can reach out to those who need Jesus. God has a perfect plan for every person, but they can't get to heaven until they have believed on the Lord Jesus. We tell them how to do that. Let them know that they have sinned. All have, you have, I have, they have. And God will forgive every sin, every shortcoming, if we will confess our sins to Him. Then we need to thank Him and to tell other people. God can make you usable and use you if you will allow it to be done. His will can be accomplished through you. Know this, God's ABCs are available to you to give to people who need Jesus. Call us 812-867-2418, and we'll get them to you right away. That number to call again is area code 812-867-2418. Just call and let us know how many copies of God's ABCs you will prayerfully give to others. In Matthew 611, Jesus told us how to ask for what to ask. Listen, give us this day our daily bread. Have you ever wondered about this? Give us this day our daily bread. Way back in the Old Testament times, when God provided manna for the children of Israel, He did it on a daily basis. Six days a week, and on the sixth day, He gave them enough for the seventh day. So each day, God wants us to ask Him specifically. Lord, give us this day our daily bread. He doesn't want us to pray for a lifetime of supplies. He wants us to ask Him for what we need today. What do you need today? You need wisdom, you need guidance, and you need direction. I don't know what you need, but I do know this. You need your daily bread, and you need it now. So ask Him, and ask Him to make you usable, and to use you to reach out to people who need to know Him personally. Share God's glorious gospel. We call it God's ABCs, and they are total scripture. They're available to you to give to friends. Call 812-867-2418. 812-867-2418. You can be a Christian communicator. You can go with the gospel. Will you do that? Call this now. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. That's Matthew 612, New King James Version. It's a part of the Lord's prayer, the model prayer. Do you have people that you owe something to? Do you have people that owe you, and you have not forgiven Him for whatever it is? God says, "And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors." One version says, "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us." God wants you to be a forgiver, and He will forgive you. God is the great forgiver. He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins so that we can be forgiven for all the mess-ups that we have done. One of the things that we have done is to neglect telling the truth to people who need the Lord. Will you go to somebody today with the gospel and tell Him or her how to get to heaven? God can make you usable and use you if you will allow it to happen. Someone is waiting. They want to know. Will you tell them? Get God's ABCs and share them with people who need the Lord. God can make you a very special person in the life of someone else. Call us 812-867-2418. 812-867-2418. Tell us how many ABCs you need. Listen to what Jesus said for us to say as we pray. And do not lead us in a temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, amen. Matthew 613, New King James Version. Have you prayed the model prayer today? Are you talking to the Lord about yourself and about other people? And are you doing the things that God says to do? God wants us to understand how much He loves us. Jesus died, He was buried, He rose again. He was tempted, but He never yielded. And so are we to ask God to keep us from being led into temptation. To deliver us from the evil one. The devil lurks and he wants to smash you. He wants to mess you up. He wants to keep you from being an effective witness for Jesus Christ. But God and you make a majority. And if you will pray and do things the way God wants you to do them, you can be a person who can reach others for God if you will. Take the gospel and go. Call 812-867-2418 and order God's ABCs. They are free. All you have to do is ask and let us know how many you will prayerfully use. The number they called is area code 812-867-2418. We're looking forward to hearing from you. [MUSIC PLAYING] Every Saturday at 7.27 PM, you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. [MUSIC PLAYING] Every Saturday night, Triple T continues. And God has been doing some magnificent things as people come from county after county, school after school, community after community. And what a delight it is to see people meet the Lord and see them concerned about their friends. During the last several Saturdays, we have had the privilege of having people respond to an invitation to pray for their friends who need the Lord. We now have 85 people who are being prayed for by name specifically by people who care about them. Some are family members. Some are neighbors. Some are classmates. Some are just friends and acquaintances. But all of these people have a burden for someone or some ones who need the Lord. 85 of them being prayed for right now, and it continues each week as more people are saying, I want to go with the gospel to my friend, my family member, my relative, my neighbor, my classmate, and God's doing wonderful things. Our thrust is 1 Corinthians 15, 57 through 58. As a spiritual springboard, it was our idea to keep everlastingly at it. And it was the theme in February. And then again, watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong, let all that you do be done with love. 1 Corinthians 16, 13 through 14, New King James, was the thrust the 1st of March. And we go forward as God directs and provides and all kinds of wonderful things are happening. It was my privilege to escort everyone into the conference room to view happenings during the seven-year segments the Triple T has existed. I shared a brief story of Liberty University, Tammy's alma mater. I told how Triple T's staff went with me when the school was still meeting in the Thomas Road Baptist Church Building way back in 1973. It's third year of existence. I explained how Jerry Falwell and Elmer Towns began the school with less than 200 students and how Mary and Tammy and I visited Liberty and then took a tour of the new Jerry Falwell Library. A $500 million reconstruction program is now underway. And today, there are 100,000 students attending Liberty online or on campus. It is now the world's largest Christian university and the seventh largest university in America. I related how Jerry Falwell continued the dream by keeping everlastingly at it. Tammy and I had the privilege of meeting with him at his request sometime shortly before he died. And it was a great, great time as he was asking us about Triple T and what's happening here. And he said, OK, how many acres do you have? And we said, 30 acres. He said, don't ever get rid of it. That's great. Build on that and go. And he's asking God at that moment, he did ask God to provide a million dollars for our ministry to go forward. Since that time, it has happened. Not all at once, year after year. And God's done it. He's provided. And he's providing now. But we believe he's going to do far, far more. Then I had the privilege of sharing how God has provided consistently for Triple T, enabling the ministry to continue to go forward year by year. Since the very beginning days in February 1966, and even before, God has allowed us to make connections with the number of people in ministry who have remained long-term friends and the best is yet to come. The dream is alive. In the next three years, we will prayerfully see more and more people trained in one to Christ as we keep ever lastingly added. The key action advance began March the 1st, and it is again based on 1st Corinthians 16, 13 through 17. The restart summary was provided for all who attended. The day included creative Christian communicators. And dinner was served for everybody. And then the rally featured Cafe Tiger, Comedy Night, banana splits for everybody. And we had a lot of videos by a person that we had the privilege of getting to know just the Thursday before. We'd heard him a couple of times at NRB. That's a nice religious broadcaster's convention in Nashville, Tennessee. He goes by the name of Michael Jr. And he's hilarious, but his testimony is very, very outstanding. And so we had the privilege of having the videos that he was featured in that we showed this last Saturday night. We're enhancing the strategy model. Small town rural America target, evangelizing God-given youth. We'll follow the challenge from Chuck Klein, who's the leader of Campus Alliance. Mary and Tammy and I had the privilege to attend the Mission America Coalition Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina, where part of the youth emphasis led by Chuck Klein and Darryl Nuss, who's the CEO of the National Network of Youth Ministries. The thrust of reaching every student at every school begins by adopting each campus in each county where Triple T is ministering our plans to minister in 2014, 2015, and 2016. It all begins by getting people to pray. Every Tiger teammate will be informed and asked to pray for the vision to be realized. The vision, every youth before turning 20, to have the opportunity to hear the gospel with an invitation to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and the mission to be accomplished. Triple T's mission to communicate Christianity to and through teenagers, to win them to Christ and train them for Christ, teaching them how to share their faith through their local churches, on their campuses, throughout their communities, and into their world wherever God leads them in their future. Our biblical mandate, Saint Corinthians 4, 1 through 3. Therefore, since we have this ministry as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced the hidden things of shame and not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. God is not willing to initiate parish, but it all should come to repentance. And that's what we are doing, endeavoring to train people to communicate Christianity effectively wherever they are, wherever they can go, and to share the gospel one-on-one with people who need to know the Lord. How about you? Do you know Jesus? Have you admitted you are a sinner? Have you believed on the Lord Jesus Christ? Have you confessed Him publicly, told other people that you are a believer? I hope you have, and if you haven't, you can. Triple T's distincties are, we are church-connected, Bible-believing, and aggressively evangelistic. Bible-believing prayer power, according to Ken Anderson, is using relevant Scripture to pray with people who need the Lord, and to use confidence to renew Triple T Christian youth ministries moving forward in youth evangelism takes three things to expand, to restore, to develop. And of course, in the middle of it all, to train. Our continuing plan, every Saturday night, youth evangelism events, 7.27 p.m., and it's been happening every single Saturday without exception since February, 1966. You know, it has been such a joy to watch the Lord do things. We were told just a couple of weeks ago that there probably wouldn't be more than three or four people here because of the weather, because of the roads, because of the problems. In fact, we had someone call and he said, "I just don't think I can come tonight bringing anybody because of the conditions of the situation where I am." But he said, "I might be able to bring a couple of people from town." Well, he ended up bringing a whole van load, and we had a great, great Saturday night in spite of the weather. And so, God has blessed. Tiger team is tines involved going evangelizing regularly, leading youth conferences, training students in peer evangelism and adults as coaches, and project proclaim, saturation evangelism, one-on-one sharing, Bible distribution, evangelistic youth efforts, public relations outreach, internet, billboards, radio, newspaper, and now television is high on the horizon. Tiger team impact evangelistic youth efforts at or near public high schools, county by county everywhere got opened doors of opportunity. Right now, we are planning as God opens the doors and as he provides the people and the resources to go back to my hometown, Mount Carmel, Illinois, Wabash County, to do something that will be a salute to people with whom I was privileged to go to high school. One is my friend Ivan Peterson, who just went to be with the Lord last October. Another is my friend Don Brown. Pete and I together led Don Brown to Jesus Christ. Don went on to play football for Wheaton College. He became a chaplain and was a chaplain in Vietnam. Pete went to Africa and then to Europe as a missionary for God's glory. And on it goes as we have these friends who have served the Lord effectively. Others who were my target teens have met Jesus. And we're looking forward to going back to Mount Carmel several times this year as God opens the doors and puts us in contact with people from the different churches who will be partners in youth evangelism. So you pray about it and we'll give you more information as time goes on and as we have more to share with you. Stay tuned though because we have some very pertinent things to share with you in the next few moments. So whatever you do, don't go away. Pray without ceasing is the first faith factor. Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing and everything give thanks for this is the will of God and Christ Jesus for you. The beginning point of a relationship is to establish communication. The Bible says, "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." The gospel is that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and that he was buried and that he rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Will you admit that you have sinned? For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Have you believed on the Lord Jesus Christ? Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Are you willing to confess Christ publicly? That if you confess with your mouth of the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes under righteousness and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. Pray, Heavenly Father, I am a sinner. I am sorry. I believe that Jesus died for my sins. I believe you raised him from the dead. I turn to him to forgive me and to give me eternal life. I thank you for saving me today. I am willing to tell others in Jesus' name, Amen. If you prayed that prayer, please let us know. Contact me, George Dooms 812-867-2418. And we will be delighted to send you some information to help you grow in Christ. As a matter of fact, we have for you a brand new New King James Bible, and it's yours free if you will call us. Here you go 812-867-2418, we will be praying for you and with you, we would like for you to know that we care about you and we would like to give you some information that will help you grow in Christ. Every single Saturday night, there's an event at Triple T located four miles north of the airport, four miles south of I-64 on Highway 41 at Boulman and Harmony Road. 7.27 p.m., it begins. Jet lands on the big screen and the rally is off and running. And we would like very much to have you as our guest, no matter what age you are. It's for people, especially between the ages of 10 and 19, but every first Saturday, it's for those from kindergarten on up, and of course adults are always welcome, especially those who are bringing teenagers with them. So we want you to know that we care about you, and we would like to communicate with you and connect with you. And so we need you to call us so that we can do this, or if you can't call, come tonight. Saturday night at Triple T, it's going to be a very special event, it's going to be a great time as we get together and share the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our thrust tonight is pray without ceasing, and I believe that you're going to learn a lot as you come, you'll see some videos, you'll meet some of the world's greatest teenagers and preteens, and you're going to watch God work marvelously as we work together to reach people for Him. By the way, if you don't know how to pray, God's word is constantly telling us things to do, to know how to pray. Listen to Romans 8, 36. Likewise, the Spirit also helps us in our weaknesses, for we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Jesus prayed for us. Listen to John 17, 17 through 21. Sanctify them by your truth. Your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have also sent them into the world, and for their sakes I sanctify myself that they also may be sanctified by the truth. I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they all may be one, as you Father are in me and I in you, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that you sent me. Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever, loves you, to the Christian Youth Ministries depends on the prayers and support of Christian individuals. You can be a tiger teammate. Number one, by praying. Number two, by investing your time or your talent or your treasure are all three. And again, the door is open every single Saturday at 7.27, and we would be delighted to have you come. Why don't you just get a carload or a vanload or a busload and come on tonight and have a wonderful time at Triple T, and we will be delighted to have you with it. 7.27 is when it all begins. Know this, Christ through you can change the world. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 US-41 North at Boone Building Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport.
