You're listening to Telling the Truth from Triple T Christian Youth Ministries, Telling the Truth to and through teenagers. Here is Triple T founder and president George Dooms. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Don't ever balk when God calls you. That's what Moses did. Listen to Exodus 4, 1 and 2, New King James Version. Then Moses answered and said, "But suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice. Suppose they say, 'The Lord has not appeared to you.' So the Lord said to him, 'What is that in your hand?' He said, 'Arod.' May I ask you what do you have in your hand? God told Moses to throw the rod down and it became a snake. God said, 'Pick up the snake by the tail and it turned back into a rod.' God allowed Moses to get his heart in tune with him. Oh, he kept balking and rebelling but God gave him the honor and privilege finally of leading the children of Israel out of Egypt. God has a plan for you, a job for you to do. So will you use what you have for his glory? Learn the plan of salvation. Open the Word of God, pray diligently with Christian believers and together determine how to take the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to people who need the Lord. It's God to make you usable and use you and he will, if you will, use what you have to bring honor and glory to him. We have tools for you, God's ABCs. We'd like to put them in your hands so you can use them for his glory. Solomon was reportedly the wisest man in the world with the exception of the Lord Jesus, God's Son. Listen to Ecclesiastes 10-10, New King James Version. If the ax is dull and one does not sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength. But wisdom brings success. In other words, if you're going to use an ax, check it out first. Is it sharp? Otherwise, you're going to have to strain your muscles, exert more energy. Using what you have, including wisdom, is going to be the answer to lots of your problems, a solution to multiple situations. What do you have that you can use for God? Are you taking care of the one body he's entrusted to you? Are you keeping your mind fresh? Are you keeping your soul totally tuned in with God by reading his word, by talking with him, by sharing him with others who need to know him? God can use you if you are willing to be made usable and used by him. So present everything you have to the Lord and watch him do fantastic things as you are available to him. Pray for those who are not yet believers, read the word of God and then take the word of God to people who need to know him, need to know Jesus. Tell them how they can get to heaven by admitting they have sinned, by turning to Jesus from their sins, by believing on the Lord Jesus, telling others how to believe. Jesus presented the parable of the talents as an illustration about heaven. heaven is getting ready to go to a far country and he entrusted three servants with talents, one five, one two, one just one. So he had received five talents, came and brought five other talents, saying, "Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Look, I have gained five more talents besides them." His Lord said to him, "Well done, good and faithful servant. You were faithful over a few things. I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord." Matthew 25, 2021, New King James Version. When you use what you have for God's glory, wonderful things are going to happen. You can multiply if you invest your time, your talent, your treasure in the furtherance of the gospel and evangelism in telling others how to get to heaven. Be wise, win souls, pray for those who are believers, read the word of God, begin to memorize Scripture, hide God's word in your heart, especially Romans 3.23, Romans 6.23, on 3.16, Romans 10, 9, and 10, so that immediately you can share the gospel with anyone anywhere. If you don't use it, you can lose it. So get your ABCs, we'll send them to you, let us know how many you would like to have. Call 812-867-2418 and we'll get them into your hand so that you can use what you have. Romans 12 is one of the cardinal chapters in God's word. In Romans 12, God explains the Team concept of the Church. Church is not a spectator sport, it is a way to be involved in serving the Lord with others. Listen to Romans 12, 4 through 6, New King James Version. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we being many are one body in Christ and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that has given to us, let us use them. If prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith. This faith factor is very, very important in serving the Lord. You have got to believe before you receive. God wants us to know that believing on Christ gives us a place in heaven forever. But meanwhile, it is our responsibility and our opportunity to share the good news with other people. So put your faith into effect and use what God has entrusted to you to further the gospel, work with others and together you can go with God's good news. Pray diligently, read God's Word and hide God's Word in your heart so you won't sin against Him. Use what you have and go forward for God's glory. Know this, when you do, God will bless abundantly. What is God entrusted to you? Are you willing to use those gifts from Him for His glory for the furtherance of the gospel? Listen to Romans 12, 7 and 8, New King James. Or ministry, let us use it in our ministry. He who teaches in teaching. He who exhorts in exhortation. He who gives with liberality. He who leads with diligence. He who shows mercy with cheerfulness. What a wonderful thing it is to look at what blissed and see which ones God has given to you to use for Him. There's a world out there that needs to be touched with the gospel of Jesus Christ, one by one by one, by people just like you and me. What are you going to do about those gifts God has given to you? Read again the whole 12th chapter of Romans. Present your body a living sacrifice and say, "God, make me usable and use me, and He will." Again, there are people who are lost who will never be able to know how to get to heaven unless somebody like you tells them how. We're here to help you become a part of God's army. Believers going with the gospel to folk who don't know Him but who could if someone would tell them how. We've got God's ABCs to put into your hands, call to get yours 812-867-2418. Let's compare Moses and Paul. Moses backed away and said, "I can't speak. I can't do it. I need someone else." Paul said, "I will go with the gospel boldly." Listen to 2 Corinthians 3-12, New King James Version. "Therefore, since we have such hope, we will use great boldness of speech." Yes, speak up, reach out and tell people the truth on how to get to heaven by admitting they have sinned, by believing unChrist, by confessing Him publicly. Paul was bold in his presentation of the gospel. We need to be bold too, not like Moses, far more like Paul. Why not read all of 2 Corinthians 3 and watch God speak with you about the hope you have, eternal hope, and you can then provide that hope for others by telling them how, using your mouth, confessing with your mouth the Lord Jesus, believing in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead to people so they can be saved, if you will, they will. You can do that, use what you have, pray with other believers, read the Word of God together, and then above and beyond everything after the fact, go with the gospel to people who need Jesus. Call us and get your ABCs and you can share them with everybody, everywhere with whom you come in contact. Are you willing to do what God's Word says to do, ready to accept His challenge? In the 2 Timothy 1 verses 6 and 7, New King James, "Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you, through the laying on of my hands, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. God is love, and God wants you to love Him. He wants you to love others, but don't forget to love yourself, and with a loving spirit and attitude, thinking clearly, go with the gospel. You can have a spirit of fear, but have a spirit of boldness. Go and share Jesus gently, firmly, boldly, and watch God bless your efforts to glorify Him. There are people who need to know how they can become believers in Christ and receive the gift of God eternal life that lasts forever. God's gift is available, but somebody has to tell them how to get it. So use the gift of God which is in you. Stir it up. God is entrusted to you, a multiplicity of different ways to serve Him. Read Romans 12 and say, "Lord, which ones do I need to use for you?" And then do it. Know this, God has a plan for you. Go His way. Every Saturday at 7.27 p.m., you are invited to attend a live youth event at Triple T, 13,000 U.S. 41 North at Booneville and Harmony Road, midway between I-64 and Evansville Regional Airport. Every first Saturday, a good news club for ages 6 to 9 is available in a separate room. For more information, call 812-867-2418 or visit www.tripletchristianyouth.org. Moses had a very special calling from God, and God's promise to be with Him. Exodus 3 has a great deal of information inspired by the Holy Spirit. This is what the Bible says, "Come now therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people to children of Israel out of Egypt. But Moses said to God, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?" So He said, "I will certainly be with you, and this shall be a sign to you, that I have sent you. When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain." Then Moses said to God, "Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, 'What is His name? What shall I say to them?'" When God said to Moses, "I am who I am," and he said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, 'I am' has sent me to you." Moses had God's demonstration that he was with him, erod, listens to the story. Exodus 4, 1 through 3. Moses answered and said, "But suppose they will not believe me, or listen to my voice. Suppose they say, 'The Lord has not appeared to you.' So the Lord said to him, 'What is that in your hand?' He said, 'Erod.' And he said, 'Cast it on the ground.' So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent, and Moses fled from it. Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Reach out your hand, and take it by the tail.' And he reached out his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand. That they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob has appeared to you." Moses had God's promise that he would teach him what to say. Moses was really, really, I don't know what you would say. He certainly wasn't dumb, but he was gun shy. There weren't even guns at that time. Exodus 4 goes on, "Then Moses said to the Lord, 'Oh my Lord, I am not eloquent. Either before our sinch you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech, and slow of tongue.' So the Lord said to him, 'Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall say.' Moses stirred up God's anger when he wasn't willing to trust him. That has a backup plan. His brother, Aaron, older brother, became Moses' spokesman. Listen to Exodus 4, 13 through 17, "Then he said, 'Oh my Lord, please send by the hand of whomever else you may send.' So the anger of the Lord was killed against Moses, and he said, 'Is not Aaron the Levite, your brother? I know that he can speak well, and look, he is also coming out to meet you when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart. Now you shall speak to him, and put the words in his mouth, and I will be your mouth, and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you shall do. So he shall be your spokesman to the people, and he himself shall be as a mouse for you, and you shall be to him as God. And you shall take this rod in your hand, with which you will do the signs. That gifts has God given to you." We've already shared earlier a lot from Romans 12, but listen to how it begins, "I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, do you present your bodies a living, sacrifice, whole, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service, and do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your money that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God." Before I say through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to everyone a measure of faith. We need to understand that God does not want us to become conceited, puffed up, or proud, but we are to humble ourselves before the Lord, and to appreciate what he is entrusted to us. Listen to this very special presentation of how you can be a part of God's team. First, we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we being many are one body in Christ and individually members of each other. Being in gifts and differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us choose them. If prophecy let us prophesy in proportion to our faith, or ministry, let us use it in our ministry. He who teaches in teaching, he who exhorts in exhortation, he who gives with liberality, he who leads with diligence, he who shows mercy with choice. Did you get that list? Did you find your message? Did you look squarely to see where God wants to make you usable and use you with what he is entrusted to you? Are you willing to share the good news of the saving power of the Lord Jesus, to share doctrines of gospel information and things that are in the Bible that people need to know? God wants you to be a functional member of his forever family. Now here are some of the gifts, ministry. Ministry means that you really care about people and you are going to reach out to them and you are going to help them understand who God is and what he wants to say to them. So use it in your ministry, he who teaches in teaching. Teaching is a very important part of what God wants people to do for him. He doesn't want everybody to be a teacher, but he wants to be a teacher. Mary and I, one of them is very, very astute with things that have to do with technicalities, the technical world, the tech world, the world of pushing buttons and causing a very creative way to approach things. The other likes to teach, likes to share knowledge. So whatever God is entrusted to you, use it. He who exhorts in exhortation, he who gives with liberality. Now let me explain to you what that means, it means don't hold back anything from God. That means give to him, give liberally. It's amazing what you can do when you entrust what you have to the Lord to use it for his glory, for the expansion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Investing is a wonderful way to go. Invest your time, invest your talents and invest your treasure. Don't hold back. Did you know that God owns everything? Somebody said, well, he owns the 10%, no, he owns the 10%. The 10% he will take from you if you don't give it to him, because we'll give it, give it with liberality and give beyond that. Give as much as you can, as much as you should, because you can do whatever you want to do. And then he who leads with diligence. Don't be slov-get out in front and say, this is the way we're going to do it. This is how it's going to happen. This is what I want to do. I want to set an example to you as a believer. I'm reading a magnificent book on leadership by an army general who's retired now, but it tells his life story, how he had no money. He grew up in a home with just a thing there, but he was very bright, and he made straight days, he was on the honor roll, he was on the national holiday. But there was no way he could go to college. And then somebody said, well, why don't you go to a school counselor? So this lady said, why don't you go to a military academy? He said, what's that? Well, that's where you go to school, and they pay you to go. He said, you mean they pay me to go to college? Yes, if you're accepted, they will. So we got to accept it in a military academy, not just a military academy, the military academy point, and his life was changed totally, and he grows up through the ring to become a general in the army. And so leading with diligence is at every step of the way you take what you have and you use it to the best of your capability to lead other people, especially those who don't know the freedom to Jesus, and those who do know him help them lead others to him and put together an army of people who will go forward with the gospel. And then it says, he who shows mercy and their fullness, be merciful, really have compassion on people who are having difficulties, reach out to them, not just with your heart, but put your arm around them, do something tangible, give them something, give them support, maybe even buy them a meal or do something else tangible. God will make you usable and use you if that is one of your gifts. And hopefully it is that you can show mercy with cheerfulness. Smile a lot and know that God will bless you because of that, and he will bless others through you because of that. So let's pray together for God to make us usable and use as Father, be with us and help us together to know how to move forward using what we have to bring up to you. Stay tuned as we give you more information. We've been talking about gifts, God's interested gifts to you. Are you using them? Are you going to be a faithful steward of the gifts God has entrusted to you? Corinthians 4, 1 through 7 says, "Let a man so consider us as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful. But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by a human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. For I know of nothing against myself, yet I am not satisfied by this, but he who judges me is the Lord. Therefore judge nothing before the time until the Lord comes, who will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one's praise will come from God. Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and a palace for your sakes that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other. For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did not receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it from God? You did. Anything you have has come from the Lord. You know that. I hope that you're getting all this. I hope that you're understanding that we have an opportunity. It's called the message of the cross, the power of God. Listen to this. First Corinthians 1, "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For since in the wisdom of God the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe." I want to tell you a story. A number of years ago, a friend of mine went to a ball game. It was a college game. I don't know who they were playing, but he was there to watch Holy Cross. And it was an exciting game. And the cheerleaders kept saying, "Go cross, go cross." And suddenly this Christian businessman bowed his head and he said, "Dear Lord, I get the message I'm to go with the cross," and he got up out of his seat. He left Madison Square Garden in New York City and he dedicated his life to Jesus. He has become an outstanding Christian leader in our world. He's from a small town, Mount Carmel, Illinois, my hometown. He married a very beautiful girl, a cheerleader, and they have had a wonderful life serving the Lord. His name is Dick Capen. He married gene sites and together they have gone worldwide in their ministry of helping people stay out of trouble financially who are in Christian ministries. Dick was the one who brought the Oriental Missionary Society from its headquarters in Los Angeles, California, all the way to Indianapolis, Indiana, area to Greenwood. He was involved with OMS International. He was involved with a lot of other ministries and today he is a senior vice president, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. All because he went to a ball game and he heard people say, "Go cross, go cross." You can thank God for using you and give him the glory. 1 Corinthians 1 says this, "For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called, but God has called the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen and the things which are not to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him you are in Christ Jesus who became for us wisdom from God and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. As it is written, he who glories let him glory in the Lord. For everything that God has done through Triple T Christian, youth ministries and the other enterprises and opportunities that we've had to serve him, God gets all honor, all praise, all glory, it's all of him. It's wonderful to be made usable and used of him because he will not share his glory with anyone. We've got to glorify him and lift him high and Jesus said if I, if I be lifted up we'll draw all men unto me. So go with the cross, hide behind the cross and share the fact that Jesus died was buried and rose again the third day. Christ through you can change the world.
